Mine is still blank, but my card got charged just recently. Once that goes through, my status should change, I hope. =X

Silly question, how can you check your order status? x:

 

I briefly visited the Volks store at Shinjuku Tokyo. I think Ryoya Konoe is more beautiful in real life than in photos. Like Wicked...I'd be frowning at every one else's doll if I don't get him in the AE. I'm a pessimist!!

 

When you first entered the lottery you should have been emailed a link to your shopping cart on the volks site. There it has your order status on top.

I finally cleared things up and it turns out I was charged, but the stupid credit card site won't be updated for like another 2 days. My mom had to call them, and then I called Volks to ask and then let again to let them know everything was ok.

It looks like the number of sets is limited and will be done in a lottery, at least for the Japanese site. It looks like for those of you getting your girls through the USA lottery and the international site will receive an order form and it's possible that too will be a lottery, but I have no idea about that. It's a really cute outfit though~

I really hope I'm just entirely confused by the lack of sleep, but I found this updated note on the AE application page regarding Ryoya & Ami...It wasn't there when they first started the entry yesterday!

That's been mentioned a number of times previously. Irritating as it is.

 

Oh, sorry, I hadn't realised that. The note in red just used to be the different shipping times for Ami & Ryoya, and the Volks US orders seem to include the application forms without mention of the Japan only availability...Does that means the application form included is just going to be an extra souvenir recycable for the Volks International winners?

 

It sounds like the limited outfits may be for both Japanese and VolksUSA orders but not for the Volks International site. Kayo at VolksUSA has been really good at getting stuff like this for us since she became manager.

To me, she looks like a relative of my Ren, and she would probably like to have an older sister to play with... Helps I like ami plenty anyway, but it seems that some of us simply have no luck at these things... T_T

Those who didn't won anything, don't worry about not getting your dream dolls at the moment. Maybe some folks would decide to let go of the ones that they just won when they receive them. It does happen from time to time. I wouldn't give up hope just yet.

 

Has anyone actually been able to pay for their items for the AE? I have been trying since 8:00amEST, and at the payment stage, it gives a server crash error.

 

I paid Ryoya with credit card and I hadn't any problem,
Maybe the system is collapsed now.

 

I paid right after I read the email, around 16PM JP time (that would be like 2AM EST if I am not mistaken), and it went through flowlessly. You should try to contact Volks at the email address they gave in the mail, if you are having issues ^^;

 

Thanks Gothland & Boule de poils I ended up just using a credit card, I think it was some kind of issue with me trying to pay via paypal. Congrats to you both!

Does anyone know the general time frame that Volks sends out emails to those who are getting the chance to buy the dolls that people did not pay for within the 24 hour period? I didn't see anything about them even offering the dolls that were not paid for.

 

Mostly it was mentioned in context of the payment period--if you won and received your winning email, you had 24 hours to pay. If payment wasn't made in 24 hours, your order would be cancelled and another name drawn from the lottery to get that doll. I don't think they stated a time frame for sending out emails, though. I'd assume those emails would be going out in the 24 hours after the 24 hour payment period was up.

I figure I'll just be on pins and needles until tomorrow evening. -_-;;

 

I may be totally off base, but not long before this Dolpa there were (on the International Site) dolls from the previous dolpa offered for sale. It was after the After Event by some time...and believe me I wish I could remember all this more clearly...but it was the Remi & Colin Yo dolpa and you could get the big elf boys too. I put a couple in my shopping cart before I remembered I couldn't afford anything just then.

It was advertised on the home page...not an event or after event...just some 'extra' dolls available in limited quantities for a short time. So if you were disappointed I would keep checking the home page for a good month or so.

 

It depends on the popularity of the dolls. Some dolls just never sell out and for some reason the Kyoto 6 dolls weren't very popular. Eden is still available on the website, and I remember Amakusa and Emma were on the website for a bit after they were released as well. It's not a bad idea to check, but due to the popularity of these dolls I wouldn't count on them popping up.

It was a little funny though, because about a week before I saw Remi for sale again I had written to Volks Intl asking if there might be one available to buy and they nicely replied that they didn't have any. Then a week or so later the dolls came up for sale. This was probably a week before the photos of Dolpa 21 dolls came out because I decided to try for Sora instead...and ended up with Ryoya >.<

Brain like wet Wonder bread. I know.

 

*laughs* Well it all works out~ And hey, ending up with Ryoya isn't a bad conclusion! I had been considering buying Eden but I wanted to wait to see what the Dolpa 21 and NY dolls were, but Ryoya won me over with just the cell phone pictures.
