I get no reply and no change in status. I'm on vacation sitting in a 24 hour internet cafe. Folks here must be wondering why I keep visiting the internet cafe day and night!!! Why is it that I recieve no email?

 

I'm sure you have looked, but maybe it got put in your spam folder? I figure by now they must have sent out all the e-mails. At least, I'd hope so.

 

OK, I looked, my order is cancelled, it says on top. I was looking at the status space.

What's after event and how does it work?

 

The after event is done through the International Website and here are the instructions.

I received confirmation email for DD Rin ^_^
DD are easy to get as usual.

 

Don't know if he'll post here as he kind of ignores the threads like this. *facepalm* But my friend, pontifexofpunk, also won Rin. ^_^

Maybe you missed the little note below the links on the Dolpa 21 page. It says "* Limited Items will be announced once details are finalized." The one link is grayed-out above the Tenshi-no-Sumika Items link. No worries. They'll be there. ^_^

 

I got Ryoya I don't usually do these lotteries but I was very interested in his cool body and outfit. So far I've only done two Volks lotteries, lucky both times

Yay, congrats! I got confirmation email for Rin and her extra uniform yesterday from the US lottery.

I was one of those people on DannyChoo.com that said I really wanted one and you told me to wait for the US lottery. It worked out well. Thanks!

 

I started a thread in the Buying Q&A section asking about the t Volks Dolpa 21 After Event Lottery, and I thought it might be better to ask here XD

I had a few questions about entering the lottery and the cancellation process. I think I vaguely remember seeing something that if you do not pay within 24 hours of being notified you won the lottery your order will be canceled? Or do they even Allow order cancellations for the lottery items? If anyone knows anything please let me know!

Yeah if you don't pay in the 24 hour period the International lottery win will be cancelled. They usually give quite a few methods to pay with if I remember correctly. Once you enter for a lottery item they basically say they won't accept cancellations (unless payment isn't made in the time period) from what I remember with the After Event for the Kyoto Dolpa that happened awhile ago here. The International lottery is very similar to the USA lottery entries but it doesn't hurt to check all the guidelines on the International site.

Potentially a little off-topic - has anyone spotted a Ryouya with a non-default faceup yet? Somebody linked to a Y!J auction of Ryouya, so it looks like he's already arrived to some homes.

I'd love to see what this sculpt looks like with a different faceup.

 

Does anyone know the usual amount of time between entering the lottery and finding out if you won? I know this must vary, but just to have a rough idea of how long one would have to have the payment ready to send if they do win.

I stumbled upon Blue Yun's Gemini, labeled as Ryuya (also happens to be what's needed to get his kanji from the keyboard ), and he's quite a gorgeous boy with a non-default faceup! Hopefully we'll see more of these customized boys - so gorgeous!

 

Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in, but it seems like a few pages back someone mentioned you have 24 hours to pay after winning or your order will be canceled.

If you are talking about the volksusa lottery I don't think they really allow cancellations. Not sure how the international one works.

 

Right. That part I know. lol I mean, how long does it normally take from the time you put your name in the lottery to tell you if you actually won something or not.

 

From the Kyoto Dolpa After Event they let winners know basically the next day after the lottery entries were done. I think they usually let people know withen a 48 hour period if they win or for those that didn't pay the next person in line is informed. So you only really have to wait at most 4 days from the time you enter to the time they finalize the winners and such that is if things run the same as the Kyoto Dolpa AE. Hope this helps.

 

Changing gears for a sec, just wanted to say....the repaint of ryoya here on the forums...makes him look like a teenage reisner. XD Too bad i'm not keeping the head.

I was thinking that too Moo. I was toying with the idea of getting a Reisner head to put on this body, but after seeing the repaint I think I'll keep the whole doll if I get him.

 

He does look like he's going to repaint gorgeously... Gives me itchy fingers!!!

 

Well, I know someone who would be getting him if he comes home with me.

 

I don't see the Reisner in him at all, but I'm not much of a Reisner fan so that might just be me. I do think he looks gorgeous though, and I'm happy to see he can rock the blond look.

Hmmm... While I really, really wish those shoes would come with it, I have no idea. I'm fairly certain that somewhere in the guide book there was a picture of the clothes just kind of laying out, like they do with outfits to show you what's included, but I can't remember if they were included or where you might find the picture again. Maybe farther back in this thread. I think someone had scanned it somewhere.

EDIT: I just went back through to try to find the pictures, but no luck. I have a couple saved on my PC at home, but I'm not sure which ones. I'll have to look later. The only posts that were messed up, I think, were from aishiteru, and the links to her photos were broken. Maybe she's the one that posted them.

I won the lottery for Fate and her uniform but lost out on Rin. I noticed there is an After event near the end of the month and I would like try my luck there. Can I enter the After event even when I live in USA? I have tried to register at Volks International with an USA address before but never got a response, any help is appreciated.

 

You may enter for the international lottery. Just wait for them to open lottery entries on the corresponding days and enter there. I don't remember if I got a response after registering. If you can't find it, try your spam folder.

May be I was wrong, but I seems to recall reading about Volks International is only for people not served by Volks USA, I guess I will try my luck and register again.

 

I often try the international site when it comes to limited items and I have had no problems.

I just went through the Volks News and the Tokyo Boys Story booklet, and they don't say or have a detailed picture of the items. However, when I look on the Volks Japan page I notice that the shoes were included in the Yukinojo and Shirou uniform sets, so . . . maybe yes?

Out of curiousity, would an SD17 outfit be way too big for a long-legged SD13 boy? I really do like the Tokyo Edge outfit . . .

Do the after event limited dolls ship the same time as the first lottery dolls? Cause it says the AE ryoya and ami won't be out till late july or august, but the dolpa page said first lottery is in early july....

 

Lugi-moo: Usually the AE dolls ship within a week if they have them in-stock. They may not have enough Ami in -stock hence the delay.

 

Has anyone who won in the lottery been charged for their wins yet? It's supposed to be today (or "around" today) that they charge according to Volks' e-mail, but I don't see a change in my order status yet.

 

I just got called by volks (wasn't expecting that) to ask if I was ready to be charged. Could barely understand what the woman was saying her Japanese accent was so heavy. lol.
At least thats who I'm assuming it was. I don't know of anything thing/where else that I'd recieve a call from a Japanses person, let alone such a brief conversation asking if I was "ready for ******** (dunno what she said) charged." ^__^;;

My credit card just got charged and is processing, according to my bank account.

What does everyone's Order Status say? My says "CONFIRMATION" at the top, and money was taken out of the account yesterday as planned!
