Dolpa 20 (December 7, 2008)

So when you say your hoping they aren't too expensive are you thinking YJ? because I thought Miruku (white Kurumi) would not be offered for the lotteries?

 

Miruku will not be offered through the lotteries, but I'm also hoping the aftermarket prices on YJA will not be too high. I would love a white skin Kurumi since my three big girls are normal skin.

 

Oh ok got hopeful again there! LOL. I think she would be a sight to see can't wait to see the RL pics on YJ!!

 

Awww, thank you, Dolly!!! You're so sweet!! I hope we can both get a beautiful Miruku!!! She'd look lovely with your Kurumi!! I hope that she won't be too expensive, but if she is I'd gladly take a Kurumi instead! We need to spread the Kurumi love!!!

Edit: Oh! And for the last few whiteskin Limiteds Volks has released, they've used the same whiteskin that they use in FCS. So I think Miruku will be in "FCS White."

 

Thank you Dolly! I think it be the most wonderful thing in the world if we were all able to get our sweet girls! This rereleasing gives me hope not only for me, but for other people who have dollies they really want rereleased too...like Toppi and Chii!

I believe they discontinued the LE white that the original Kohya was released in. They only use FCS white now.

 

Lin is the Yo I fell in love with, so maybe I'll try for her. Iris is very pretty too--waiting to see more pics of her.

 

Does anyone know if the FCS white and the newer limiteds released in white skin are UV protect like the new Pure Skin? I know the old LE white was not UV protect, so I was wondering if the new is? It seems like it would be, but I just wasn't for sure.

 

Thanks for clearing that up nakitama and Cammy! It's nice that they have just one BW skintone now in case anyone wants to do body swaps.

NabeeRain, I know that all FCS dolls are UV protect, I don't know about the LE BW though it seems all of their releases in the past couple years have been UV protect. I haven't noticed white LE's though, they are so uncommon!

 

NabeeRain- I think White Cat Chris was the first white LE doll released with UV-protect resin. Volks started casting FCS dolls in UV-protect resin in Sept. '06.

 

Thank you Dolly and Kaighn. I have become really picky about my dolls being UV protect (I had an older FCS in white that looked...well she looked kinda sickly lol the poor thing). It is good to know that the FCS and LE dolls are UV now. It is also really neat to see limiteds released in white as they don't seem to do it that often.

 

Does anyone know which dolls that will be available at the international AE?

 

I think all dolls except Kohya and Miruku will be at international web AE. Those two are limited for DP20 at Tokyo Big Sight.

OMG IM SPAZZING SO MUCH..

I know that I'm overreacting but I've always felt SO BAD for missing out on KURUMI... now i have a chance to get her from the lottery OR from Y!J... though knowing me i might aim for Y!J ahahah... oh man.. i'm so excited!!

does anyone have an estimate on when VOLKSUSA will have a lottery for kurumi?? so i can start getting ready for it!! oh man im SOOO saving.. this is the only doll that i've actually want to save for >.< ahhh!!!

 

This dolpa is amazing....that cat outfit is to die for. And omg Kurumi! I hope I can scrape the money together in time.

 

those two lovely Kurumis calls out to me... Its a bit too tempting if they put them up after the event on the US website... the temptation would kill my bank account >.<

 

Oh, wow... I am LIKING that Violette Perfume Dress Set. And Johanna's dress just keeps getting better and better!

Oh, thank you so much for the links to the scanned photos! I like how there seems to be a renaissance or gothic theme for this Dolpa, since so many of the outfits have that style. I like three of the frilly boy outfits, and I hope that I can work hard enough for that frilly blue SD13 boy outfit. I also love the one with the "man-skirt." So I think I have my guns set for the three SD13 Boy outfits and SD16 Iris herself. This will be fun!

AreeElf: Yknow, when I saw that there were a lot of MSD outfits, I immediately thought of you and that you'd be happy. I kept seeing cute girl outfits, but only to be disappointed that they were on a MSD doll, which I don't own. I'm hoping they release a really cute MSD girl soon, since there were several girl outfits this time around.

Also, I'm already locked and loaded for this Dolpa! Oh, if only winning Super Dollfies was as easy and fun as the shooting range at a Carnival. "Congratulations, lucky sir! Your Grand Prize is this SD16 Iris!"

 

Oh, the After Event will be January 10, 11, and 12. It looks like Miruku and Kohya won't be available, and Iris and Johanna will only be available on the website, to Japanese customers.

 

Ahh....so kinda like how Pearl was exclusive to VolksUSA I guess? A lot of people will be disappointed I reckon...

 

Awwww man. That actually hurts. I've been waiting for another release of Kurumi since the first time she came out and we won't be able to get her unless we pay Y!j prices??? That seriously sucks. Does anyone know if it is just the white skin Kurumi that is limited to the Big Sky site? Is there any chance in Heaven we could get ahold of the natural skintone Kurumi?
Shinn and Lin are darling and I love both the SD16 girls this time, but Daddy needs Kurumi! lol

 

It's only Miruku (and Kohya) that is "Big Sight Limited". Kurumi will be at the After Event and probably available through Volks USA too.

 

This is the first time that everything in a Dollpa appeals to me, all sizes of dolls and most outfits.

I didn't have much interest in SD16 girls until now. I thought they were beautiful but not for me.
Iris has such a happy and confident expression and Johanna is lovely.

Does anyone have a clear photo of Miruku and Kurumi standing together? *wants them both*

When Volks says "Designer Collection" do you think those are clothes designed by the recent design competition winner/s or corporate designers like H.Naoto? I've been wondering about that for a while now. They look different then most styles we've seen before and I really like them all.

Oh Ashlia~ It is like the most overwhelming excitement you can imagine at your first Dolpa. Not only did I meet so many wonderful people at my first Dolpa, but I even won Sei Tenshi! Talk about beginner's luck.

OMG the MSD outfits XD! They have an f-16 and a toppi modeling ... two of my favorites *squish* The outfits aren't bad either ^_~. I love the hat on the pink set!

Oh man I hope I have enough saved up to enter for Kurumi :3... I mean I do... but I hope I can bring myself to spend it (should I be so lucky)...

ETA: Am I reading this right O=? Is there some fairy tail theme or something? The SD16s say snow white... some of the clothings are Gretel, Little Red, Cheshire cat?

 

Tell me about it. lol Just last month I had to pay for major auto repairs, replace my sewing machine AND replace my laptop!!! Talk about a bad money month. I am praying the machines in my life are done with throwing mechanical fits for a while so I can spend some dolly cash on actual dollies instead of household stuff in January. Not to mention, my birthday is January 23rd and I can't imagine a better birthday gift then to finally get my very own Kurumi.

 

Must...have...Iris's outfit and wig!!! I love it! Since I definately cannot afford to buy a doll, I am safe this time around Although I do see a couple of outfits my girl's might have to have...

possibly but I'm thinking that Johanna is dressed more like Snow White would be, living in the forest and all, Iris the beautiful queen who could not stand any competition for the most beautiful of them all.

but, then on second thought and look, I agree with you. there is a small vial on Johanna's belt, so then she would be the evil queen with a bottle of poison for the apple?

Okay, I looked closer at the story, and Iris is the princess and Johanna is the queen. Which doesn't make much sense, seeing as how Johanna's the one who's white skinned, but Volks doesn't always make a lot of sense.

 

So Iris and Johanna aren't going to be available at the AE and Volks USA?

 

They will only be available on the AE website, and will only be shipped to Japanese addresses. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that Volks USA won't get any.

 

I am going to start saving now for this event. I am determined to get one of those pretty babies.

OMG, I knew this last DP for the 10th anniversary was going to be big and Volks definitely did it.

I want Tohya, Shin and loads of outfits. I guess I will be joining all the lotteries possible. Volks is trying to bankrupt me..... (and Soom still have 3 more MD to go ACKS am I in trouble or what!!!)

After looking at clearer pictures there is only one outfit I want.

Kittybongo -Johanna's outfit is really pretty too...I always find I like the SD16 outfits that come with the limited dolls more than the outfits they release separately.
