Oh, I can't wait to see what wonderful things they release for this Dolpa!!! I'm hoping for more adorable Harajuku Memories dolls!!

 

i have been kicking myself since luna was released for not getting her when i had the money, and since then i've never had the money for one of the harajuku memories girls (especially at second hand prices)- so i'm also hoping for another one! this time i will have money! i would just about die if they did a sweet dreams luna, but that's probably a fantasy on my part

 

Sweet Dream Luna? Oh, that would be gorgeous!!! I've been dreaming about a Sweet Dream Kurumi too!!

Um. Am I missing something? Why on earth is there an entry in December in the Volks event schedule for "Dolls Party in USA 2008" during Dollsparty 20 Week that then says there will be an SD workshop in Harajuku, Japan????

I think you're right, Cammy, but I'll admit that I was hoping they'd do at least a small seminar at the LA Sumika as part of the Dollsparty 20 Week. Ah well... A girl can dream

 

About how long after Dolpas do they normally have the in-store after events? :3

I'm happy to see that Taa-chan and Mii-chan are in the workshop lineup! I hope that means more will pop up on Y!J.

 

When I saw it I was like, "YEAAAAAAAAH! We get an event too!" But I agree, I think it's just an unfortunate mistake.

Me too! They're so under-appreciated though, and don't seem very popular at all. ^^'; Most of the ones on Y!J that sell go under retail price, even if they're painted really nice. I hope one day I can snag one up.

I like Taa-chan, but I'm a boy-doll kind of person. :3

 

Oh, they aren't popular? That's a shame. I think they're so cute!!! I tend to like dolls that aren't very popular. I think it's my need to love the unloved.

I usually prefer girl dolls, but in this case I'd be really happy with either one!!!

 

Nope, not from what I've seen. There were two super cute custom ones up a few months ago, and the Taa-chan only went for about $350. I wanted him so bad! ;-;

I'm really hoping more people will get them and show off their potential this Dolpa. :3 Too bad they don't sell them outside the workshops or else I'd try to get one while I'm in Japan.

Maybe they'll offer them at the next NY Dolpa! The only School Heads I'm really interested in are Mi-Chan/Ta-chan and Margaret/Margaret Sweet Dreams. If they offer any of them, I'll definitely sign up for a class!!!

Yea, I was lamenting my lack of money. The Mii-chan went for about $400 if I remember right. There's a Taa-chan kit up right now with 2 unopened Volks outfits for ¥39,800, which is a steal considering both MSD outfits probably cost at least ¥4,000. I'd definitely watch Y!J for when they come up! I'd love love love to see some in the Gallery here.

Oh! I can't wait to see what they release! If its another Harajuku girl I don't know what I'd do. A Sweet Dream Luna or Kurumi! I can't even conceptualize how pretty they'd be!

I shall not be attending this dolpa, as I have my Japanese Language Proficiency Test on the exact same day. And of course, the test is only offered once a year, so it's not like I could make it up later.

Seeing the list of school things available, ugh me wantie a Mii-chan lol. I want to see what limiteds will come out for this one. Maybe Volks will finish off the Rozen Maidens? They got 2 techincally 3 (Kararia, Kirakishou, and Barasuishou being the techincal 3rd if they go by the anime) more to go it be nice to have to long to want another one.

 

Oh that would be wonderful if they did finish off the Rozen Maiden collection Volks started!

 

It's three days before my birthday too! Aaaaaaah! I wish they would released the yoSD announced for the disneyland event, so people who can't attend the even (and they are nuuuumerous) have a chance to get them through Dolpa and AE! I especially target yoSD Nono :p I also pray for Jun T., or Williams, or Tohya (though there are two versions already) and not as one-off. Also I would die if they rerelease Cecile Scarface sunlight! And MSD Elsie, the good old MSD F-06 sister XD I can't wait! I would be very interested in Kanaria from Rozen Maiden too ; she would make a cute MSD, don't you think?

 

I'm so glad I'm already 3-kyuu and nowhere near 2-kyuu.... Now tell us what the limiteds will be already!

 

I love Elsie!!! Oh, I so hope they rerelease her!!! Do you think they'll make Kanaria an MSD or a YoSD like Hinaichigo? I bet she'll be so adorable either way!!!

Ever since I got my little Hana, I've caught the Yo-bug!! Let there be Yos!!!

 

Zephyr`s originally a cosplay wig maker, but they make doll wigs also.
They tend to be at every other doll-related event as a dealer.

The limited wigs they produce occasionally have colors/styles that I like.


(The wig`s actually a mixed light-purple color)

Are the Dollpa's invite only? I'm currently in Japan and would be delighted to be able to go to a Dollpa while I am here...

 

I've seen some of Zephyr's wigs at Y!J sadly any color and style I like is not the right size.

for the dolpa's, i know volksusa does a lottery - are the chances pretty good at winning an item in the lottery? or does it depend massively on the item?

but man - i'd love a luna/sweet dreams luna, michele/sweet dreams michele, sweet dreams lucas/chris, sweet dreams masha/sasha.... probably none of those will happen though

Usually all one needs to attend a dolpa is the guidebook, which you can buy from any Tenshi no Sumika shop The guidebook acts as your ticket in & is usually sold about a month or so before the event. However, you have to be a member & bring your member's card to get a chance at any of the limited items. Which is easy to do; you just buy something & they'll sign you up for a membership

Zephyr does have popular wigs in certain sizes for these limited wigs.
But they do release all the wigs in SD, MSD, and YSD sizes as shown here:



(This is from their Dollshow Limited Line -each row is a design, the left two images are on SD`s, the middle two are MSD`s, the right two images are for YSD`s.)

It kind of sucks that they don`t tell you about their limited wigs till the day OF the event and you look at their booth.

Limited wigs are limited to the event; those won`t be available outside of the event. These ones were only available at Dollshow.

If they are a dealer for Dolpa, they`re going to be releasing possibly another line of limiteds along with the normal line they sell.

 

Thanks for the infos, now I'm really crying... I have no money too I'm too broke, But I'm agreeing with Cammy, I hope they 'll realize more and more Harajuku memories too! they're splendid!
