Ok, well I hope you guys take some pictures for me! I keep hunting through Y!J hoping to find some decent pics of Johanna, but I haven't found anything. You guys are my last hope!

 

My Tohya arrived! He's gorgeous, and happily, he looks awesome in the blond wig I got for him. Here's a quick photo taken in crappy light.

 

Wow, Marsh! He's got an AWESOME faceup! So much better than the previous version.

 

I agree! While the first two Tohya's are beautiful, without their glasses they look a little washed out to me. This guy is just stunning. Can't wait to get some natural light shots of him.

 

Oh wow Marsh your Tohya is HANDSOME!! He looks great in that wig you bought for him and I love his face-up so much. Congrats to you on receiving such a wonderful boy

 

Did anyone else who didn't order any satogeri services find kips disks in some of their dolls joints? I was pleasantly surprised to find kips in the shoulders and elbows. ^_^

 

KIPS come with all LE dolls and, well, all the standard dolls now as well And My Johanna should be here soooon!

 

My Kurumi has KIPs in her elbows, shoulders and neck.. its kind of weird to get use to for me ^^;;

 

Johanna is on the delivery truck as we speak...!

Her head is not staying with me, but I have to say... this doll is RADIANT. She glows, she's so beautiful!!

Oh yay...I just received my shipping information for Kurumi! I'm SO excited for her arrival Hopefully everyone who got extra services for her will get theirs soon well!

 

I took a few fast box opening pictures of Johanna for everyone who wants to see her.

Sorry, I don't have a lot of time to take more as I'm super far behind on things.

I think hands down Johanna is the prettiest Volks SD/SD13/SD16 girl I have ever seen in person and I'm really awed by how lovely her default make-up. (I tend to get most of my dolls repainted >>; )

It seems like Volks outdid themselves with the faceups for Dolpa 20 dolls, my Lin's faceup is so amazing that it makes my Kun's faceup look bad by comparison. I think even her ears are blushed

I got my shipping notice today for Kurumi. Sadly, I dont think my hubby is going to let me keep her.

I received her on Monday. What a gorgeous girl. Volks really did a fabulous job with her face up.

Just checked my order status and, OMG, my Iris has shipped and will be here tomorrow!!! *does happy dance* I figured it would be at least another few weeks because of the Sato-gaeri services. It's a heck off a lucky suprise for Friday the 13th, LOL. YAAAAYYYY!!!

She is SO vibrant and beautiful!! I'm really impressed all the default faceups this Dolpa! She'll be heading off to her new loving home on Saturday. I'm glad I got the pleasure of seeing her in person though, she's even MORE wonderful in person, if you can believe that!

 

Nakitama - she is gorgeous!!! I just received my ship notice. Couple of days and I will have her as well. Happy Dance!

Is Kurumi shipping from VOlks USA yet? Has anyone gotten theirs from Volks USA?

 

VolksUSA has gotten their Kurumis in stock and has shipped, I received my Girl last monday ^^ but I believe if you got Sato service, she'll be delayed.

 

I received my Johanna today and she's just the most spectacular SD16 I've ever seen. (And I own an Amelia too) The outfit is more wine colored than pictured in the photos, her wig is styled to look like she's tucked her hair behind her ears, and her face-up is amazing! We were snapping photos of the box opening and some quick full-set photos and we couldn't get an angle or photo that made her look weird. She's amazingly photogenic!

I've got alot of work to do today, but perhaps I'll find some time to upload the photos we took and post them. =D

 

Wow that is so cool Lizziegirl...Johanna is my favorite of the SD16's due to her face-up being so lovely.

My Kurumi should be here any time now...she's out on that UPS truck somewhere in town

A quick update...she's finally here!! Of course the UPS guy waits to deliver her almost right before the end of when they say to expect the package but she's here! I went into Kerbey lane today and they had a Shinn for sale. I couldn't say no and took him home with me. Why do the Yo's have to be so darn cute

My Iris has arrived in all of her pixie-dust-happy Disney princess glory. She and my YoSD Chinatsu got all dressed up for a trip to VolksUSA last sunday. And now, thanks to Iris, I finally have a use for that silly YoSD Apple hat, LOL!

My Tohya arrived today ( I think he is the last to arrive LOL)

He is gorgeous the only thing I do not like is the new sliding box. I wish they go back to the old boxes.

 

same here anavel! I felt kind of cheated that I didn't get the old style box.. (specially since the new one slides out so easily.. its hard to pick up my kurumi's box without it sliding completely out and everything falling out...)

 

Totally, if they really want to switch to sliding box, they should make one end closed. Seriously, the paper is so slippery that it keeps on falling out. So hard to carry It looks nice but not practical at all

 

Yep, I don't like the sliding box either. It's not nearly as nice as the other one, I wonder why they switched?

 

supposedly it takes up less material for the boxes to be made? (but I also think it makes it easier for a doll to be jostled and harmed (my kurumi's crack chest happened during shipping.. and all she had was the one sheet of bubble wrap over the sliding box and then inside she just had her two cushions...) and I guess for more ease of opening?

 

I, for one, prefer the old-styled box. The ease of opening of new sliding box is a question for me....
Anyway, I'm appreciated Volks always tries new things, though.
