I emailed Volks quickly to ask about the AE results and they said this:

"The correct date for contacting lottery entrants was by 5pm on January 9th, Japan Time. We are dreadfully sorry but if you have not received an email from us informing you of your win, then unfortunately you did not win."

So everyone that has not recieved an e-mail from them can just drop any little hope they had left..

I didn’t receive an email, I’m devastated, I don’t think I could possibly afford kurumi on Y!J because of the current weakness of the pound to yen. Congratulations to those who won.

 

Does anyone know what time the tenshi-no-sumika items will be on sale? @_@ (if they're not yet already on sale...) I don't understand what "domestic Japan limited item lottery entries" means.

Cos I apparently won Saber, Tohya, Johanna, and Iris.
My aunt thinks it's a trick and won't let me get them.

And the clothing sales don't work yet. It says the item can not be purchased at this time. That usually means they haven't opened the sales yet. How many seconds until they are all sold out!

from what I counted we're 10 people here on the forums that have not heard from Volks about Kurumi, in other words lost in the lottery... (and I have 3 friends who lost too, so a total of 13 people)
I find it really odd that we haven't heard from a single winner yet...

 

Natsuka, I feel certain that it is not a scam. I have never heard of anyone being scammed or tricked in this way in the 3 plus years I have been buying Volks dolls.
Just look at all the people who entered and didn't win. I don't know how to prove it. Can you explain to her how limited the dolls are, and how hundreds of doll lovers try to win the chance to buy them? Maybe you could send an email to Volks Japan explaining your Mum's worries. They will likely write back fairly fast.
It have been a while since I was so lucky as you have been today, but I do recall one dolpa where I won 3 dolls at once.

I do hope you can find a way to convince her!!

I bought many times through Volks. I entered for Tohya too but I did not get him. My friend did though.

How to prove to her? She either has to believe it or she doesn't. :-/

 

Volks just had their 10th Year Anniversary celebration. Seriously, a business running for that long has to have some long standing credibility. I know I won my SD16 girl and SD13 boys from other Dolpa AE events and I have always received what I paid for .

My suggestion is best is to let your mum read the forum thread herself and if she still thinks it's fradulent, I think no one can really change her mind about it.

it is weird that no Kurumi winners have said anything... if there has been kurumi winners... :/ at least with the volksUSA lottery everyone practically knew at the same time who won what...

I hope it’s a mistake, it seems so odd that Iris and Johanna were considered very limited, yet so many people have won, and no one yet appears to have won kurumi.

It just ended in me getting screamed at for wanting "a thousand over dollar doll"

I emailed them also a few hours ago, but no reply. I can only hope that someone possibly will be there to answer with the Tenshi-no-Sumika items going up for sale soon, if they are? I’m just very confused.

 

the chance you can win is actually not all that low. honestly, you shouldnt have enterd more lotteries knowing you couldnt pay for them all : / its not too great for other people. i would suggest researching next time - generally youre more likely to win the DD's and the SD16 girls, as theyre the least popular. for example, looking around someone on the board enterd for 3 of the same limited DD (thinking she wouldnt get it) and got them all. its not like theres only 1 of each doll so youre chances aren't awful

 

Natsuka, I thought I read that if you win you can not cancel. I'm sure that was written somewhere in the Lottery rules. And Volks does have your CC info now.

 

Natsuka in volks lottery rules "quote"
If you win, you must follow through with the payment procedures afterwards.
If you have completed an entry in the lottery, we will conclude that you intend to purchase the items you have entered for.
You cannot cancel your order after you have won.
Be sure to check that you do not make any mistakes in your order. After you have placed your order we cannot make changes to it or cancel it.

 

BTW it also says in the rules:

" * The email sent to the winners has a cut-off date mentioned for payment. We would be very grateful if the winners would follow through with the procedures regarding their payment method and shipping address before that date.
* If we do not receive payment by the cut-off date, we will cancel your order.
* For orders that are cancelled, new winners will be chosen to receive those items. These new winners will receive a separate email from us.
* Please be aware that the payment period is only 24 hours. Please pay promptly."


Meaning if she doesn't pay someone else will be given the chance to buy the dolls..

 

It has now been 8 hours since the winners were e-mailed, and still no reports of anyone winning Kurumi..!

 

for those keeping track, I put in for Kurumi as well, and haven't heard a thing yet. I hope we get some winners soon...

 

i dunno if you can just only pay for tohya, cos ur order has saber, johanna and iris. and when making payment, u have to pay for the remaining dolls that u won too since u entered for all of them?

Considering that atleast 13 people won Kurumi through VolksUSA, I think For they internation AE they should have a bit more than that seeing as it's for the whole world exept japan..
So I definitley think something is off about it...

 

There has been two winners for shinn so far. Which means that the lottery for shinn has went on fine... but oddly enough no one won linn -_-;

Well if all of the emails have gone out, then that means there's no Johanna for us. I wish we could afford the secondhand market.
