Dolpa 2 in New York City Discussion

Jan 11, 2007

    1. Yup! :D (though I'm not sure I'm that cute lol) I was one of the volunteers through FDQ and I *ADORE* 80's music, both the good and the bad XD;

My two dolls I brought Utako (Lin) and Akira (Mamu) were on display with the other volunteer's dolls at the FDQ display. :D

    2. Pssht, you're adorable!! Thanks for putting up with me going in and out of the bag check the whole time... and thanks for all your help!!! All you guys volunteering deserve a party of your own just for all your work!!

    3. ;) None of the interviewees sounded stupid! Everyone talking about the things they love... how could that be wrong? But just remind me... were you the girl in the green cosplay dress? (So many screen names to connect with faces, Argh!:?)

That would have definitly been cool! But I was happy not just for 80's music, but for anything other than the three, dirge like religious tunes they kept repeatedly looping... As Yuni (I think) and I were joking, they were really hamming up the whole Mother Volks thing.... I've never heard "Amazing Grace" so many times in my whole life!
Of course, don't get me wrong... I'm a bit of a Volks snob... so if they want to make it more of a cult, pass me the Kool-Aid! And hey... maybe they can get some old KrishnaCore bands like Shelter to become VolksCore bands! That would be pretty rockin', no? or maybe it's just me....

    4. Haha I feel as though I should feel bad that we were joking so much about it!

    5. Oh!!! Lisianthus I adore that Luna and dragon. You must have magical fingers!!!Her wig is wonderful the way is coordinates withher faceup colors so well. I just gaze longingly at your entry every photo I see of them. Love to see more of your entry too. Wouldn't it be great to have a gallery of owner pics of their contest entries??? Especially for those of us armchair Dolpa travelers :)

    6. Thank you Sheri! The wig is one of Neale's, and after trying on every wig in the house, I like Luna best in apricot, strawberry blond, strawberry colors. Plus, I had to use the colors that were in my yarn stash and her face color went best with the Kimono. I didn't expect her to get much notice, as there were so many talented entries and she has her default face-up. My daughter needlfelted the dragon, piles of wool roving, sharp needles, welds the wool as she shapes it. I think she is claiming my Sei as hers now. She stayed home to take care of my son so that I could go, so she does deserve the little Sei. - Barb in MA

    7. Yeah, I love it when resin kids go for my clothes!

Anyway, after I traded my 11:45 ticket in for a 9:45, I still had an hour to kill. I wasn't hungry since we had such a nice dinner courtesy Volks. I went to the Houlihan's in Penn and ordered a Long Island.

I was still on cloud nine after the event, I must have still been glowing after I managed to thank Mr. Shigeta in Japanese for putting on such a good party.

And some guy sits down near me and starts chatting. I think he already had a couple drinks someplace else...

He had bags of those tacky NYC souvenirs, he said they were for his nephews a couple of times, or his law enforcement buddies, but he slipped once or twice and said they were "for his kids".

      Married!

      Pretty tacky!

But he paid for my tab -the drink was pretty poor so I'm glad I didn't have to.

He left for his train and I left for mine... He lives in another country so I feel pretty safe about it.

    8. oh that was you??!! LOL - you were part of the Volks entertainment! You obviously knew every old song that was being played! I didnt hear any Psychedelic Furs; but others seem to know the order of the songs after awhile....Alex

    9. Cammy, I desperately hope you get yours next year, too! :) I'd love a Rei Tenshi. Seeing them in person was so amazing, I can't even describe it properly.

That's so true! When my best friend's number was called, we both screamed aloud, unconsciously. And when she won her Sei Tenshi, it was the most amazing feeling.

It felt so awesome to see them all win. I don't know how to describe the feeling in words, but it was something akin to mutual elation. XD

    10. It was a lot of fun meeting as many of you guys as I did. I work at the LA store (my name's Kris) so it was an amazing experience to be in NYC courtesy of VOLKS. I had a lot of fun working the event and it was so great finally meeting some of you face to face! I hope to see you guys at the store soon! Haha.

    11. Zillah, you're headed to Japan soon, right??? I hope you are still out in CA when I come out in a few months--it was mad fun to watch your translating skills in action! :)

    12. Naah, I was the tall one in the purple-and-black dress, with the big nose & the boy-dolly in hotpants. I kept walking into people's chairs and blackening my shins. Clearly not a public speaker. :blush If you were focusing on the dolly instead of me, he was a Shiro wearing purple-and-black stripey tights, matching sweater, and big black S&M boots.

Ohh, my bad! Of course that was you! :dance Well, there were a lot of simultaneous cheers + groans going around all day about the music loop. And I move we sign a petition for more New Order songs on their copy of iTunes next year. Also, Nathankatt, no, there WERE no Psychedelic Furs playing all day either, which was another unforgivable thing we shall demand be fixed next time. Hear, hear! Arrr! *Rabble rabble rabble!*

rkold, indeed, so she was our Dancing Queen. I sat at that same table all day, right by the cloakroom, and that girl didn't sit out one single dance, or let that smile falter one millimeter! I too thought you were part of Volks's entertainment package. ^^

PS: Lyrajean, :mwahaha! Oh boyses, what a maroon. The perils of Transit-Station Bar Hopping. Makes you want to get a hidden camera & make a reality-show out of some of those guys.

    13. Oh, thank you so much! :D I hope we both win a Sei or Rei Tenshi next year! :aheartbea They were so adorable, especially the little curled-up sleeping Rei Tenshi! :chibi Sooo cute! :love

I was sitting at Anthony's table when he was called up, and as soon as Mr. Shigeta said "Sei Tenshi!", we all just exploded! :D I was so happy for him and all the other lucky winners.:dance

Rei Tenshi are so tiny! I can't wait to see the even smaller ones they are making! :aheartbea

    14. :fangirl: Hello!! My name is Leslie and this is not really my first time at DOA but lets just say I haven't been here in a way long time (when DOA was at Yahoo.com). I was the black girl at the NY Dolls Party 2 with the coffin carrier that I built myself, and I won first place for the customization contest. For that I've got to give everyone who voted for my work a BIG, GIGANTIC THANK YOU!!! That was the first time ever that I've intered in a contest like that, and I really, really thought I would lose because there were some really excellent costumes and furry face effects on those dolls. That win really pushed my confidence up and I feel that I can really persue a minor (or major) in sculpture in college.

My little Sei Tenshi is doing great and I've named her (dont cringe) Agony. I was thinking of a line in the film Adams family Values; "we were thinking of naming him Agony...." (but they named him pubert).
I also have the sleeping Schoolhead A but I haven't thought of a name for him yet. Heres some pictures, some look fuzzy but that will change as soon as I get back to my computer in GA. Plus once I establish a website or better pictures I'll show more. Again thank you all very much for your votes!!

    15. A huge congrats to you for the win Leslie! There were a lot of great costumes on display. So much talent!!!

AND your coffin bag rocks. I do hope you'll make more of them in the future.

    16. Sheri I didn't realize that was your entry I have to say I really loved your Luna and her little dragon. I'm partial to dragons , elves, and fairies. I think all the entries were wonderful I would have felt inadequate had I finished my entry.

I started a waiting thread for my Aree. Very hard to explain Aree is my 3d avatar that happens to have my nickname as her real name.

I was so happy when Anthony won that sei. Hopefully one day an angel will chose me worthy to come home to until thenI'll admire everyone else's lovelies. Besides Miyako my little angel keeps me happy and quite busy enough.

    17. Congrats!! That coffin was amazing!
I wonder if you can tell us (or the few of us who are unfamiliar) with the tale/folklore your entry was inspired by?
Your linkies are broken. :( But We got to see your sei first hand!! We were the couple that had 2, and I was in the btssb red set. :)
I was great seeing your and your new angel. ^__^

      *Jen

    18. sumomo123: You looked great in the outfit. I also loved the F07 head you were painting. I was the one sitting next to you in faceup enhancement class with the Shinsiya. Your sei and your boyfriend's sei were adorable in their bowties

    19. AreeElf, I am horrid trying to figure out how to do the quotes that garbled in my posts. Sheri was replying to part of one of my reply posts to s2Kitty.

Luna with the dragon kimono and the dragon are mine. I was replying to s2Kitty as to which entry was mine. anyway I am happy that you like it. My daughter who could not go (someone had to be care-giver here) needlefelted the dragon. - Barb

    20. Leslie, I"m so happy you posted! Your entry was so incredible. I sat next to you filling out the Sei-Tenshi forms and asked if you did all that work one feather at a time. congratulations and go for that sculpture major!!! - Barb

    21. Lisianthus: Apologies I admired that entry. Your daughter did a great job with needlefelting. Thanks for clearing that up.

    22. :) Thanks so much!! After the NY Dolls Party 2 and all of the comments about it I think I may make more. My mom has been encouraging me to start making the coffin bags and selling them; but I may just give them away as contest gifts at first just to see if they would do ok (meaning stability, comfort, and etc.) What surprises me the most about my bag is with the way it looks,it has gotten me through airport security in NY, Las Vegas, and Atlanta as carry on luggage.

    23. My links are broken?? :doh It turns out that the pictures I put up at Geocities were too big so they made my free site univailable. But I will try again later.

The tale was called Hans My Hedgehog which was Grimm's fairy tale# 108. Basically it's about a wife and husband that couldn't have children but all of a sudden the wife bears a half hedgehog/half human boy because the husband wished it. When they saw there child they were shocked and didn't want anything to do with him. So later when Hans my hedgehog grew up his father asked him to leave home and never return. Before leaving Hans my Hedgehog asks for bagpipes and a rooster to ride away on. The story goes on and on afterwards (and more stranger at the ending). Here it is here, just hope the link works.http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/grimm108.html

    24. Yes!! I remember you!! How's your new little angel!!! Thank you for your comments!!! Feathering the rooster was time consuming but very easy and fun to make. He was basically made out of wire, foil, paper mache, feathers, and clay. I was a bit scared that he would look out of proportion with his long neck but I guess he turned out ok.

    25. Leslie, your entry was fab!!! I watched you take it out and set it up, and was shocked; It was so huge and detailed!! I'm so glad you won, I screamed like a crazy woman when I saw it was you, haha!

    26. Hi everyone!

I'm back!!! Not only from a totally fabulous time in NYC, but here on DoA again!!! Seems while I was partying in the Big Apple, my sweet hubs was toiling away removing enough mortar from his firewall that would again allow me to access Den of Angels from HIS computer (mine is still being repaired). So now having just seen so many old friends, as well as made some new ones, over this weekend, I can finally see what I've been missing here!

Personally, I'm still on a happy cloud over having scored a spot in the Painting Class, having Shiro install KIPS in my Sei-Tenshi Gotham's neck joint, and being able to buy a gorgeous Yo-SD sized kimono! I don't own a Yo-SD yet, but I live in the hope now! LOL! And I totally jazzed over ALL of my pals that won stuff! As usual, our table rocked...with Pam (Tobey), Anthony (Beautiful Doll), and Stella, all having their numbers drawn to win prizes. Meanwhile, Geri and I both scored the chance to buy Masha, and I was able use my powers for good, passing my doll onto a lovely lady named Marie that I've known for years in the Metro Dolls club. ;) Mr Shigeta was joking with me that I would get lucky again and win a brother or sister Sei-Tenshi for Gotham, but even though that didn't happen, I still feel elated from winning last year...I mean, seriously, my dream came true, so what more can I ask for?! :fangirl: :fangirl: :fangirl:

Ooooh! And I almost forgot....I was talked into signing up for FCS waitlist, and ended up ordering an MSD Sunlight boy! I told Ken who helped me that I felt kinda foolish, because this was an impulse buy, and I had no real idea/concept/character/dream that I was trying to fulfill. So I decided to make a tanned MSD boy to be a pal to my darling SDC Kaede "Sugar". With Ken's patient help, I think I chose some interesting features for him, and should receive my boy in late September. His name will be Yamanaka, which is Ken's last name, and means "middle of the mountain". I told him that was the perfect name for my new boy, because I felt as if Ken and I had climbed a mountain together after making all those choices! Now I see why my roomie Elle had been researching for ages, and had pages of print outs containing FCS parts that she was consulting even the night before! I "blame" Rose, Gina, Donna, Elle, and Vickie, for my dive into the deep end of FCS with no water wings...or Tenshi wings for that matter! LOL!!!

      Hugs, Juli DC :) :)

    27. Hi Juli, I had a great time with you and your lovely Sei-tenshi.
My Yuh made a new friend

      Geri

    28. Eeee..!!!! Super cute Tenshi-ness!

    29. Hi Geri! Hi Brandon!

Thanks for posting that great picture Geri! Gotham loved meeting your Yuh, and thinks we need to find one of our own to fill the Yo-SD kimono I got! LOL! Sorry you had to leave early, but I'm glad you got home safely. :)

And Brandon...Gotham wants to see pictures of his new cousin, and learn his or her name!!! Congrats again, I TOLD you so!!! And you should know that its your fault that I'll be watching "Steel Magnolias" for the upteenth time tonight while I make Sei-Tenshi shoesies! LOL!

      Hugs, Juli DC

    30. Hi julidc!!! :daisy It was great sitting next to you at the Dolpa! :D Your energy was addicting! :dance Thank you so much for letting me hold Gotham. :aheartbea He was the very first Sei Tenshi I had ever held. :chibi Hopefully you'll give me goodluck for next year! :thumbup

I'm sure Yamanaka will be perfect, and next year we'll have to take pictures of him and Claudia together. :daisy Can't wait to see you again! :dance

    31. :fangirl: If not mock one's own fandom, what can one mock?!:D

    32. And no ABBA either :P

But yes, I was a volunteer through FDQ and technically was not part of the entertainment, though I'm flattered you thought I was. lol I just actually like to dance when I hear cheezy music. I've been told I am a mostly upbeat and friendly person. That and I made sure to drink a frappucino each morning of Dolpa to keep me perky XD;; When I'm excited for something it generally makes me very energetic, I think I scared some of my friends while waiting in line at SuperComic City. lol

      I've actually karaoked Final Countdown a few times and had my mom wake me up for school singing Wake Me Up so I have huge soft spots for both songs. If you listened carefully, I even sang along a few times >>;

Maybe next year Volks should add karaoke to the line up XD;;; There is actually a place right near FIT that has Japanese songs as well lol

      *BLUSH* It was really no problem really getting bags for anyone. I just felt bad that I couldn't necessarily remember which bag went with which owner all the time. >>;

      It helps that I am old :P Nope, no Psychedelic Furs, the playlist was very top 40 for the 1980's but that doesn't really bother me so much. Now if it were up to me they would have included One Night in Bangkok in the rotation as well XD;

I really am glad my dancing (despite my lack of skill) actually entertained people, though it sounds corny, I really did want for everyone attending to really enjoy the event.

Maybe if you all write to Volks they'll ask me back to specifically be entertainment next year, I also do Bar/Bat Mitzvahs lol (joke)

    33. Yeah, you could totally be the entertainment next year. ;) I was so glad to get to talk to you for a bit and compare Japanese point cards. When I got home, I found the rest of mine that I had taken out of my purse for the trip to NYC.

The music made me laugh; it really reminded me of the music that was always playing at the Nagoya Sumika while I was in Japan.

    34. AhhhhhH! I'd almost forgotten about that. LOL Silly girl. Now I'll be wanting to put SM on tonight as well. I've been sewing corsets all day. :P
I did put a couple of cute pix of my new little addition, Sukoshi in the Dolpa photos thread, but there are sure to be many more coming.
      :)

Rkold was a great little dancer. She made me smile everytime I glanced that direction and saw her jiggin' away.

    35. Hee! I love that story! I recognized your entry right away, it was totally awesome.

Did you see the Jim Henson Storyteller dramatization of it? It was so cool ... I had the weirdest semi-freaky dreams as a kid because of that show. ^_^

      FWD

    36. rkold, I agree!! Karaoke would be AWESOME! I think we should reccomend that! I call "Livin' on a prayer"

    37. THANK YOU AreeElf for the beautiful photos. The one off F34 is just stunning.
      Sandi

    38. Wow, Everybody!

This Dolpa thing . . . was - is - has been - will be - beyond my paltry words to describe. I met so many wonderful people who I'd only been able to chat with on the 'net (Hi, Jay!! Thanks for the awesome nametag, JulieM!! Anthony, you seem like a _really_ amazing guy - I'm sorry we didn't get time to really talk! Lizziegirle - you're amazing, and your husband is as fine a man as I know! Cammy, your excitement is virulently contagious - infect me! Who could miss Miss Scootkadoot the cute? Karen Vail - Congratulations on your new Angel family! Aree - I didn't get to talk with you as much as I'd have liked, but I'm glad we met! Lisianthus - God does indeed bless the caretaker, in His own way!) and to hang out and spend time with some of the doll-friends I've known for a while, Gina, Rolopuppet, Rkold, Lauramann, Carmela, Marianna, Alice, Karen, Am, Nancy, Saori and your mom, Shelly and Lydia, Chii of Hearts, Nakitama! I wish I were better with names, 'cause I know there were some I've forgotten! ALWAYS love hanging out and chatting with you guys!! There were others who I only saw, but whose nametags I recognized, like NofunAngie, who I noticed near the Masha table on my way from somewhere to somewhere else (It's still all a whirl!) but didn't get to stop & say hello to.

Watching people win stuff was _so_ much fun! Everyone's reaction was different, but they were all so very evocative of the joy that permiated that room. So many SD! So many Sei-Tenshi!! So many tiny Rei-Tenshi!!! Akari was right - "This guy is _so_ generous!"

The Shigetas and the staff of VOLKS Japan and LA really bent over backwards to make sure everyone had a wonderful time - I know I did!

      Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, VOLKS!!

      ~Bruce

    39. Bruce it was SO NICE to get to meet you!! You are a wonderful gentleman, and I mean that in every good sense of the word!!! I hope they do another one THIS fall!!! Early November! That would rock. I can't wait so long for another one!!!

    40. LOL! Thanks, Bruce! :D It was wonderful talking to you at the Dolpa! :daisy The entire event was like magic to me. :chibi Volks was so kind and generous to us all. :aheartbea I can't wait till next time! :dance

    41. I had a wonderful time talking to you too! :D I am so bad, I could talk forever about Japan. lol I am so addicted to points cards. Somewhere I think I even have an Anderson's Bakery card. Next time we meet I can bring the new Volks Special Event only cards. Ken-san told me to hang onto my used ones but I'm still not sure for what purpose. lol

I've heard a lot of US pop in Japan, it always amuses me, though plenty of places also play Japanese pop.

I call Big in Japan XD;;;; And if not Strangelove, though really I would be happy to sing most songs. I'm not a very good singer, but I positively love singing and try to karaoke whenever I can.

    42. Bruce it was so nice to meet you as well. I echo the words of others you are a very polite gracious gentleman. Next year I hope to make the rounds and meet people more and get to talk. i so very much wanted to take more pictures of other people's dolls and talk to people. Saturday though was me getting from one class to another. By Sunday afternoon when people showed up I was too exhausted

When there's not too many people around I can start up a conversation with a stranger. Crowds overwhelm me :sweat.

I just was so overwhelmed by how everyone at volks was so nice and kind as well as the FDQ staff. I'm still a bit on air at having finally been able to go to a Dolpa after hoping to for so so many years.

    43. i suppose i'll put my 2 cents in, and believe me it is some 2 cents!
      ...

dolpa was so much fun!!! i don't own a volks doll, but it doesnt mean you can't appreciate their dolls and the company. i'm glad i went and i will definately go again and again.

    44. HA!! I was a crazy woman as well going up to the Volks President! I know I was extatic but I'm still wondering why I ran up there. My mom says I looked like a contestant on The Price is Right.

    45. If they had Dolpa once a month, I'd be there. In fact I wish I could do this one over, for a number of reasons!

    46. Your Sei-Tenshi is so cute!!! I love the wide eyes!!!:D
I remember yours from the photo shoot toward the end of the party.

    47. You looked very happy!
Your mom was so proud, she told us she had made the shoes, which were adorable.
(I was at the table behind you, and had complemented your Ryo the day before).
      Congratulations!!
      :)
      Michelle

    48. No, unfortuatly I haven't seen that one but I'm sure it's on DVD. Definatly have to see that (especially if it's by Jim Henson).:aheartbea

    49. Awk! JulieM, I totally forgot to add extra thanks to you-- for those excellent nametags. It must've taken you no small amount of time & expense for all those nice tags. Going to a con & not having a lanyard around my neck, waaa, it just felt so weird! XD Thanks for getting me straight.

And wickedstitchery, I totally managed to miss catching word on what your room # was, and when you were selling. So I missed out on all the good shopping! ;; Thankfully you still sell off your site!

*whew!* Thank the universe for small blessings.

I hope next year's music consists of nothing more obtrusive than some nice hippiefied new-age-hypno wooden flute music. Or something innocuous & soothing. Gawd, anything but constant funeral songs or ancient Top 40! :sweat Things like Bon Jovi or squeaky jpop, on infinite loop all day long, would only cause bad things to happen with those ceramic-knives & stringing-hooks. And I suppose a little Front Line Assembly is too much to ask for. ^.^

However, I would also lustily join in the 12-part-harmony gang singalong of "Strangelove" and "Big in Japan", when you guys bust out the karaoke machine at the after-party. :dance

    50. While this is getting truly off topic, no, I think truly horrific is being forced to listen to the Hyoutei Prince of Tennis Musical while you shop on repeat. If I had to hear Do Your Best one more time I was going to do my best to break every single speaker I could see. That is true hell, nothing at Dolpa compares lol

As I said, I actually like the bad 80's pop, it makes me dance.

BTW I'm so glad I got to meet all of you who I got to meet! I don't even know who everyone I met was since most of you I met while I was volunteering. I do remember Gothic_hydran126 cause you had such an amazing coffin bag. It made it very easy to always find it too lol

    51. Julie M! I've forgotten to thank you for the wonderful nametag, which I needed a few times to remind me what my name was.

    52. It was such a pleasure to meet you! I squeaked like a sad sad fangirl on Saturday when I spotted Sora by himself and was all "That's the Shirou of my dreams!!" to my poor friends.

    53. I'm always so late with these things.

I had a great time this weekend. I got to see and spend time with my dear rkold on top of all the dolly fun.

I really wasn't paying attention during the costume contest since I thought a ton of entries were great and it was only when I realized the name that Mikey was having so much trouble saying was mine that I went up to get my picture taken. (I hope I didn't inadvertantly flash any of the Volks staff, Mr. Shigeta WAS laughing a lot as I looked like a fish for the photo).

      It was great talking to people I only know online and to put faces and voices to them now and to see some of my fave dolls in the resin, so to speak. Sora <3! It was disappointing to lose the Michele one-off, I am so smitten with the mold I was willing to buy it on a girl body and I am not a girl owner, but I figure it is all for the best, what with the needing to eat and all. Congrats to whoever won him...errr her. I just have the hardest time seeing Michele as a girl ^^;;

I drug along a friend who is not a doll owner and it was interesting to see her reactions to everything. It amuses me to no end she is now wanting to partake of the koolaid herself and has dolly plans.

I also had a lot of fun explaing why all 7 of my boy dolls are gaygaygay to the woman interviewing people for a magazine article, certainly did not expect my brain to be picked about that.

Overall, it was great fun even if Volks in typical Japanese fashion managed to repeatedly misuse religious music and had me snorting over it. I loved the bad 80s music though. *is such a lamer, I know*

    54. Hi Cammy!

I had a blast sittying next to you and your sister too! I'm glad that my little Gotham was the first Sei-Tenshi you got to hold because he loves being cuddled! :love And I'm absolutely positive you'll win your own one of these days!! Even though its been almost a year, I still feel boundless joy at having Gotham, so when the 10 Sei were given out this year, I just HAD to scream for all the winners! ;) Can't wait to see you next year!

Hugs, Juli DC (who is not the lovely JulieM, maker of nametags) ;)

    55. Hi Gothic_hydran!

Thanks for your sweet compliments on my little Gotham!! :) He was quite the little party boy, but is quite exhausted now after so meeting nice people, Sei-cousins and Sei-siblings! I suppose you've guessed that I adore these angels?! Oh and I'm so glad everyone played along and we were able to gather for a group Sei-Tenshi photo. I had asked Mikey if she would make the announcement and she told me I should do it! It was a totally spontaneous idea on my part, but worked out so well because of that nice photo set that FDQ and Volks arranged for us! And I heard a couple of people say they had never seen so many Sei-Tenshi in one place before...too much fun!

      Hugs, Juli DC

    56. I forgot about that music...:ablah: It was so hard to ignore it playing over and over again. Hearing Ava Maria playing repeatidly and shivering from the cold air conditioner was the worst. But I got through it and had a great time.

    57. It was so Awesome to have finally met you too. I'm such a fan of you and your gorgeous kids:aheartbea I fealt so horrible, so many people I wanted to get to know and hang out with I couldn't find after a little while, and the rest of the time I was just too overwhelmed or taking pictures to even think about that:doh... I really have to learn how to conduct myself around so many overwhelmingly gorgeous Dolls*_*... I'll only Bring Damien if you bring Adrian;) So these two can finally meet:sweat.... But no seriously, if I do make it to Dolpa in LA I will only be bringing a Yo since Damien is SoOo Big. I figure I could stick a Yo in a carry-on or something, because I've heard the horror stories of bringing Dollies on plans and I just wouldn't want to risk it*_* I would hate to have to put Damien in my luggage I'll be freakin out all the way to LA*_*

Same Here Bruce, you seem like a really cool dude. We've got to make time to chat next time;)
      ~Anthony

    58. You're welcome an to everyone else complementing the photos.

I just wish I had been able to take more owners pictures to share. I have to say the whole experience was exciting and slightly intimidating as well. I'm so bad with crowds.

julidc: I just love the tiny photo frame I got from you and your sei was just too cute for words. I just love the really tiny dolls. Add wings and I'm lost. Honestly i was so afraid to ask to hold other people's sei tenshi or I would have a hard time giving them back. :sweat. My kids are starting to complain about how the tinies are slowly taking over the house. My kids were already taking dibs on my collection. The two of them were arguing on the drive to school this morning on who would get Mamu and Papi when they grow up.

    59. I wanted to say I had a great time also :) I wish I could have spent more time hanging out with everyone but I was too embarrassed to stick around because I had a rash on my face. When I got home the doctor said it was most likely due to the sunscreen I put on my face on Friday. I can't wait until the LA event when I will hopefully be able to spend more time meeting people :)

    60. Oh, I hope you're right, Juli! :eusa_pray I think I'd die of happiness if I actually won a Sei or Rei Tenshi! :D Maybe if I win one, our angels could be friends! :daisy I can't wait to see you next year! :dance I'll have my Claudia by then so we can take pictures of our dolls together! :)

And thank you so much for the cute frame-pin! :daisy It was so sweet of you to take the time to show me how to put a photo in it. :aheartbea I can't wait to put Claudia's picture in it! :chibi
