I think just as you.
His neck does not seems of a SD16 but seems a SD13.
SD17 is a mistery, Perhaps the SD17 has the size of a SD13 but with an improved or muscular body but like the SD16.
Or it is a typesetter error
I wanna see more pics of Reisner

 

At this point I'm not caring what his size is, Reisner is fantastic!

I agree, I think Reisner looks very similar to the F17, but he doesn't appear to be one. Maybe based on the same sculpt, though?

Reisner looks so awesome!!! I even like his name! If he is an SD16, I think he may be the first one that I really fancy. He looks a bit like Cecile's older brother or something.

A Sweet Dream SD Cute! I knew there would be a unique SDC this Dolpa! I'm not too hot on Kaede (except for a One-Off I saw), but her wig is darling. If she were a Sweet Dream Kurenai.....

Rin is so cuuute!!! She's like Kurumi as a toddler!! She may be the first YoSD that I really, really like!

I can't wait to see more pictures, but I think I'm safe for this Dolpa. Good thing too since I'm saving up for the NY Dolpa!

 

Grr, why does Volks do this? Why do they torture me so with their yo's?! LOL.

I was looking at Shinn and Rin, and I have to say, they look to me, like a cross between Anne's facial structure, but Puff and Papi's facial features. The lips seem to be a bit more serious looking though. *nod* Much like Anne's. Does anyone else see it? Or is it just me? ^_^;;

I AM very curious about the SD17!! I wanna see more pictures myself!

The little girl is like a mini kurumi.
The only one I am not so sure is sweet dream kaede, I am surprise with her release because Kaede wasn't that popular to make a sleeping version.

Yeah, but they had a proto-type of the Sweet Dream Kaede I believe at her original release. Many Kaede die-hards have wanted this mold for a couple years now.
I don't think she was unpopular, I think she was just released in a really small amount. Only 25 were made available at the AE on the international website and they sold out really quick. I also think she sold out very fast at the Dolpa too.

 

You know, you're right - in the past, there have been more than 2 larger sized limiteds for sale at the golden week dolpa - last year there were 5!!! Alex

I agree with someone above, that there really aren't many limiteds at all this time. ): It would be very, very nice if Volks released a new standard SD13 girl. ^^;

 

Would they announce new standards beforehand, or surprise us at the Dolpa? It's been so long since they've released new Standards that I can't remember what the proccess is!

New Standards would be wonderful. Would we be that lucky?

 

I saw the SD17 and thought it might be a typo... but now I'm starting to wonder... and worry a lil'. I can't afford another doll right now!
Reisner looks wonderful, though, if I may say so. Volks really seems to be outdoing themselves with their designs lately...

Ok I definitely want a Rin if I can get her that would solve what doll to use for makeup enhancement class but I'd still need a head to paint for regular faceup class at Dolpa NY

 

They did for the last Dolpa; I browsed through it a little bit. I was a bit shocked today when I saw that there would be over 500 dealers!

I'm going through all the links this time, because last time I was just too shocked by how many dealers there were and missed out on a lot of things, because the popular dealers sell out really quickly.

 

I really like Reisner, but my luck in the last 2 lotteries has not been good, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

However, more than once when I see more photos of the dolls, my disinterest morphs into grabby hands!
I will be watching the developments with hopefully not too much interest...

 

I don't think Reisner is a SD17.

I mean seriously, what would be the difference between 'age' 17 and 16 male doll bodies besides a slight change in height? (Keep dirty minds out of this please! XD!) I think the number is too small in difference to create a whole new resin doll line of bodies.

Not to mention their usual movement of SD10 -> SD13 -> SD16.... SD17? I doubt it. Most likely a typo or a reference to the FCS 17 head.

Plus the face seems too soft to be SD16 let alone SD17. XD I think he's either a SD13 boy or a much softer looking SD16.

 

I like the new dolls, but there are none I really want, which is good. Means I can go look at the dealers without having to worry about missing anything.

From the picture you can see his hands are definitely more mature than the SD 10 and 13s!~ (in fact, it looks like Yukinojou's, but the neck is sculpted more prominent than the SD16's)

Anyone wants the head? I want the body!~

 

Maybe is it a sd16 and the typo was not sd 17 but D (from Dolpa) 17

Technically you can arrive for the LE line anytime after 5:45 or 6 (they say 7:30 in the book but I've spoken to people who got there earlier and when I waited I got there at 7:15 and the line was HUGE) You wait on line until 9 when the line finally moves and you get a lottery #. You then get to wait in line with your new lottery # and hope for the best.

Just make sure you get on the right lines. Dolpa this year is the same day as Day 2 of SCC and SCC is even larger. ^^;

Dolpa is pretty large, I think it's closer to 700 dealers. Not all of them are BJDs though since Volks does still sell 1/6.

I confess I am really tempted because I love Shinn....

 

I vaguely remember Volks mentioning they were making something bigger than an SD16 and it was a while ago but I'm pretty sure that's not a typo or anything...

Ohhhhh..... Reisner.........I can feel a bit dangerous atmosphere

 

I just saw the pictures...I am yet another person Reisner is tempting...he is actually making me really want a doll out of MSD size.

 

Eek! From the look of his hands in the guidebook pic it seems that Reisner is not an SD13, so he must be either an SD16 or SD17! It would be SO awesome if he was an SD17, maybe a bit taller and slightly less bulky looking than the SD16 boy body (dreaming here! lol). I don't like skinny guy dolls but my sis had a Yukinojou was he super super buff.

And I can kind of see the resemblance to F17, but he isn't as smirky at all. I love him so far, but Volks, please give us some pictures without the eye patch and wig covering half his face! I want to know if I should start scraping together funds . . . those big boys are EXPENSIVE! My sis got her Yukinoujou from Volks USA and he cost around $1200.

 

Yukinojo was around 1320 from Volks, so if Reisner is a SD16 or 17? he would be at least that price if not more. - Barb

 

Hmm.... Reisner has different hands than my Yukinojou, and not so much that they are extremely different; Reisner's hand just looks a bit more relaxed~

Also, the muscles around his neck look different than Yukinojou's... I think he's something completely new!

Maybe it's something special they did just for DP17. *-*
I wanted a really tall character too...

 

I'm hoping (and this is entirely too hopeful) that they will realize they way overcharged on Yukinojo and this boy will be a little less at least. X_X

 

I'm still thinking I want Rin but where will the money come from?? Sigh.. why is it so hard to save for the NYC Dolpa?

 

Come to think of it, that does sound more like what my sister paid; I know it was under $1400 but definitely over $1200. I just remember he was REALLY expensive! And CA tax didn't help, lol. On the (sort of) bright side though, such a high price made him somewhat easier to get, since a lot of people couldn't afford it or weren't willing to pay that much.

Sigh . . . between Rin and Reisner Volks is trying to keep me broke . . . anyone want to buy my Luna??

 

I have to agree, on more speculation, that Reisner is something new. Which is exciting and terrifying as far as my purse is concerned...
... And it would be cute and appropriate if Volks was waiting for DP*17* to release their new SD*17*.

I'm so glad I dont love the SD16 body sculpt... 1320 is a bit much over my budget...

 

After some thought, I have to admit that I hope he's not an SD-16. I... um... ::ducks:: don't like the SD-16 sculpt as much as the SD-13. If he *is* SD-16, I'll probably keep that gorgeous head and sell his body. (Now doesn't that just sound *wrong*?)

 

After such a long time we finally see the SDC Kaede sleeping one being sold!! Long long ago when Kaede first came out the sleeping version was pictured on the display and a teaser because it was for display only and never sold!

 

Oh my... I didn't think there would be a SD16/SD17 boy I'd like, but Reisner is really, really pretty. It's a good thing that I have no money to spend on dolls right now (let alone the price Reisner is sure to go for), because otherwise I'd be doomed. I'll happily oogle other owner's pics of him, however. I hope Volks puts up more photos of him soon. That teaser picture is killing me.
