Nautical theme, hmm? I'm expecting to see Elizabeth at this one. If they rerelease Sylvie or do Cyndy in tan I'll be in trouble

 

No, bad Volks BAD! I must not be tempted by anything until AFTER the NY Dolls Party! But we know how likely that is to happen.... Ugh between Volks and eLuts I'm just never ever going to have a decent bank balance. >_>

 

hmm I think I'll wait to buy my doll then....maybe I'll like the limited available. (Can international people buy the guidebook too?)

 

Anyone can buy the guide book once they put the link up on the site, but keep in mind it'll be almost entirely in Japanese and printed in greyscale.

Did you get the news or the Dolpa guide? The news is the one in color, the Dolpa guide is almost the same as the news but in greyscale.

I am so excited with this Dolpa but also “extremely terrified”... Volks please do not release any beautiful dolls now... I cannot afford one more dollfie right now

 

Since this Dolpa is so close to the New York one, is it possible that they might be selling the same dolls? I just can't see Volks having two batches of new limiteds released so close together!

Last year Volks only sold one doll at the NYC Dolpa, and they always sell more than one at the International Dolpas (because they're much bigger ). It is possible that they would sell the same doll at both, but I doubt it, since the people who run the NYC Dolpa are big about having "exclusive" items.

 

Finally a Dolpa I can attend! WHOOOOOOOOOTTTTT!

I'm hoping someone I really want comes out, because damnit I need to take advantage of this.

luckily I have been safe from the last two dolpas, but if it is a Nautical theme, I think I should be safe (unless they re-release JUN Tachibana) speaking of her, do you think she will be re-released at the dolpa in LA later this year?

 

Oh man I'm going to be so upset if they release a SD16 boy at Dolpa 17 and not the New York Dolpa. But still, I'm rather excited to see what will be new this time around.

I hope they release or rerelease someone from Cecile's story..maybe Elisabeth, or that sweet dream Cecile I've been waiting for? XD hmm, better save my pennies, you never know..though I doubt it will be Cecile, since there has been a Cecile rerelase not so long ago, buuuut then again that one was really hard to get so maybe they think a Cecile for a dolpa would be good too..

..which I agree with, Cecile's are always good xD If Elisabeth is anything like Cindy though, maybe combined with the slightly more realistisch sculpts Volks releases lately..well, I'm sold xD

No re-releases, please. I want to see some new models, especially for the MSD line. I'm kinda tired of seeing Manabus and Midoris on Yahoo! Japan. Variety is good.

 

I would love to see a new MSD. I've always wanted one, but could never make up my mind.. then they would go out of stock.

I was looking for a MSD when I found my Carol.

 

Does anyone know when does VOLKS start releasing the News Book before an upcoming Dolpa? I plan on ordering items from Volks Int. and I want to do so around the same time that VOLKS sends News Books with orders.

 

I hope there is another Lolita collaboration.

Volks is amazing. I don't see how they can do all this. I kinda hope I don't HAVE to have what they are offering so I can save for NYC.

Well they already did one outfit from Alice and the Pirates and it was the least popular lolita thing at the last Dolpa

 

That's cause those of us with SD10s didn't get it. I loved that outfit but I feared it wouldn't fit.

 

I wanted that outfit so bad, but I didn't win it in the lottery.

I'm thinking they're probably going to release an SD13 girl this time, hopefully someone new. I base this on them releasing SD10 swarriko girls for the past three or four Dolpa's and thinking that even they would think it's time for a change of pace. Hopefully I'm right, 'cause I really want to have more access to UV Pureskin SD13 girl bodies.

Maybe they'll release a Suntan boy too, though.. I almost doubt that, because sunskin seems almost protected by Volks; but maybe they'd release a sunskin punk collab. boy? That would be interesting.

 

I'd also like to see a new MSD girl in a more realistic style! There need to be more to choose from.

How soon before the Dolpa do they usually release pics/info for the new dolls? May is so close....it has to be within a couple of weeks, doesn't it?

Are all the Dolpas usually this close together?

I'm wondering if I should wait to get a Maria until I see what the new dolls will be...

There is usually a golden week Dolpa, so yes this one happens at this time every year. It just seems close because the Dolpa doll shipments to the U.S. are so much slower than the ones in Japan. The last Dolpa was back on March 18th, so they're relatively far apart since this one will be in May.

Although I must say that with the NY Dolpa and the supposed LA Dolpa, this is going to be a very busy year for Volks and their fans. Much moreso than last year or 2005.
