Dolpa 17 Discussion

It's even more killer for me because it'll be my first 100&#37; SD-sized volks girl xD. One of mine is currently a temporary hybrid ('til I can locate a 13 body~ ^^), the other is bodiless, and the third is mini-sized >.< so I'm uber excited to get the awesome box and body and experience it ;3;~. Plus, I *HAVE* to think about her every day... it's really hard to get the motivation to keep working when I have to scrub toilets covered in fingerprints made of feces and splattered with crusted urine unless I think about the girl I'm doing it for =3=;;~~~~~ suiseisekiiiiiiiii~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

But congrats on your new girl! =D

 

Phweeee! I just realized that my h.NAOTO doll jeans will be coming, its not the dolls going home at the end of the month! My h.NAOTO clothes and my dollies will be coming home at around the same time! XD So excited!

Yeah q.q and I didn't mean to have it bolded like that *blush* but believe me, it's not as bad reading about it as it is doing it ^^;... essentially I meant I'm so excited for my first big volks girl, I'll go to pretty far lengths to get her =p BUT it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make !!! Every day driving around, I imagine taking pics of her in all the nice places I find ... man she isn't even my first doll but I'm acting like she is ....

I'm just really worried because I've heard about the problems with pureskin knee cracks on sd10 bodies... and suiseiseki comes with a normal sd10 body... *plays extra gentle with her* @_@;....

I have a few pureskin SD's, and so far, no trouble! I wouldn't worry too much. *^_^*

I checked my order status for my MiniDD Mayu and it still doesn't show as shipped....
They did bill my credit card on May 26th... that's 1 month ago!
They sure do things very slowly!!!

On the other hand, she should be here real soon!!!!!

 

I wouldn't worry about knee cracks, Turynn. I have an SD10 Nono and she has the 'trouble' knees. I am very careful not to twist her knees in odd positions, but she's been good to me so far.

Argh! Anthony! You made me think about Reisner again! Darn you. He was actually out of mind for nearly a whole minute! lol

 

I luckily found a MDD Mayu second hand through DoA. ^_^ She's hopefully shipping tomorrow. ^_^

I was going to wait it out and see if Volks released the MDD bodies as a standard, but when I looked over the available DD heads... I realized Mayu was the one I wanted. And when I balanced my checkbook today I realized I had 200 more dollars around than I had anticipated due to a math error, and soooo....

*grabby hands*

I wonder if the dollswill ship this weekend from volks.

whee me too!! Ordered the DD Swallowtail maid set in black and in pink, and 3 pairs of MiniDD hands (maybe that was uncessary... but extra hands are so fun! hehe)

Wheeeeeeee! I scored Chibi Theme Park Date sets for my Yo-SD Lin and Yo-T Manu coming soon, plus some cute little Petite Star Print Lingerie for Lin! Hope was able to get their goodies too!

I nabbed the SD16 black studded sneakers because my order isn't confirmed yet with the store I buy from, and the boy's Chibi set for my Kuuta!

^________^; I'm satisfied. I managed to get all the things that my friends and I were after. xD; Chibi sets, cat cosplay sets, and the underwear. Now all that's left is to wait 4 business days for them to ship and then I get to surprise my friends next time I see them.

 

Whew! Thanks for the heads up on the dolpa items. I got the theme park outfit for my YO and the pink sundress for my dear friend Glass Mountain's Masha!

That was an unexpected thrill!

 

If you call up the Volks store and ask them to hold those shoes, then I may stop by and pick them up for you. I left the Volks store today at noon and there were four pairs of those shoes available, so hopefully theyre still there.

Or better yet, if theyre in stock in the store then maybe they can transfer it to their web stock.

Yay! I am excited about getting a new doll but not excited about finishing paying for it I am starting to think Volks should start over estimating when the dolls will be shipped rather than under estimating because it brings up false hopes our dolls will be shipped XD

That's actually good news in the sense that it's so late that by the time my Souseiseki gets from Volks to Kerby to Nena I'll probably have already moved so I can get her to send it there... But my Kaede will get here in time then!

Manami > I think they used to over-estimate actually! I remember last summer my dolls came much earlier than I thought they would. It seems like just the last two dolphas everything's come in late. I'm guessing they're getting more overwhelmed each time, as popularity in the US rises~

 

I managed to score everything I wanted- three of the SD13 boys outfits and some panties for Mika. ^_^

Has anyone's h.NAOTO gear shipped yet? Every time I check my order, it's still blank on the tracking number.

 

I think they pants will probably ship at the same time as the dolls which is, according to Anthony, at the end of this week.

 

Thanks Geri! I'm glad you were able to get your items too, as were so many folks on DoA this time! Now if I can just get the Yo-Lin to put them on...
But I can't complain much, at least there was no server crash in the middle of all of us ordering like we used to endure during these After Events on the English version of the Volks Japan site!

BTW, what did you get Geri? Looking forward to seeing more pictures of your BJD bunch dressed in the lastest Volks fashions!

I got the 2 cosplay kitty sets. i couldn't decide if i wanted black or white so i got both. my boy will look adorable in either one. i would have liked the lolita dresses but my girls have enough clothes for now.

 

I just check my confirmation e-mail from volks and my order for h.naoto jeans has been shipped! I hope eveyone gets there dolls and limited items soon too!

 

Woo! I just checked the status of my jeans and they're set to be delivered on the 11th!

 

Shinn will be here via UPS on the 9th!!! I already have his clothes here at work waiting for him!!!

I just checked to see my Volks confirmation email for my MiniDD Mayu and thought it said "shipped" and got REALLY excited, I was about to get up and dance.... until I realize that was another order I made from Volks that I already received

AHHH!!!!

Then I checked the correct order for Mayu and still doesn't say anything!! Now I wonder if I will get Mayu or her extra hands first.... which would uh... suck!!! :nowords

 

I just got the email from Volks. hey shipped her on the fourth she's scheduled to arrive on the 11th.

I'm thinking what well traveled doll this Lin already is. A plane from Japan now driving across America via UPS ground. Poor thing doesn't get to enjoy the trip as she's in a box

 

Shoot, I think I deleted my original order email and only kept the confirmation of wining the lotto :/ That means I have no order number or link to order status. Still waiting to hear that Linn is available for me to pick up at the store.

 

My Reisner is getting the full on Volks treatment. Has anyone else ever done this option before or have any idea how much more time the extra services tack onto the wait time? *pouty* I just wanna meet my boy.

 

I had my Chris sanded last year and it adds an extra month to the ship time. They do a really good job though!

Also, got my shipping notice for Lin. Yayayayay!

 

eek! I got Shinn today!! XD I got him right after I got the email from Volks that he was shipped. (really he is my mom's :<) he hasnt been named yet.

I just got an email confirmation that my Dolpa 17 items (DD dresses and MiniDD option hands) have been shipped...

...but...

...My MiniDD Mayu has not been shipped yet!?!?!?! WHy??? That would be tooooo cruel to receive her option hands before even having her!!!!

hopefully they will ship her soon!! ah!

 

I'm with you Chibichibiusa... I still haven't gotten my little Shinn's confirmation ;.; I didn't get anything from the Volks store lately (the yo costume I wanted was sold out by the time I got there) Sighs I hope they send him soon... I just want to hold him and there's no telling how long Customs is going to hold him hostage. ;.; Last time I got a package from Volks they held it 12 days and it was only CLOTHES!!! ;.;

 

I just received my order for h.Naoto VJeans. The sent me the wrong item for one of the three jeans I ordered. I heard that another girl was sent the wrong panites for her MSD. Has anyone else received incorrect items? I've e-mailed Volks so hopefully they can fix this.

I received my DD clothes and MiniDD hands in the mail yesterday!! (Strangely, even if it was shipped EMS from VolksUsa, they just left the box on my doorstep and didn't ask for a signature... for a $211.00 worth package!!! ) I found it when I opened the door to leave for work
The good thing is... I saved a good $30 on custom fees hohoho (I'm in Canada, where they like to tax every EMS packages)

The high heels shoes that come with these DD Swallowtail oufits are awesome!! And yes as I feared, I got the MiniDD hands BEFORE my MiniDD!!! they are sooo cute these little hands!

.... BUT I also received a delivery notice pickup card last night when I came back from work... and my Mayu Mayu is at the post office for me to pickup today !!! (plus a $85 canadian custom fee to pay but i know she's worht it!!!)

I'm so excited now, I need to get ready for a trip at the post office !!!

I got my Lin today too the dolpa 17 clothes arrive tomorrow. I was at training class and was happy to get home to see my neighbor signed for the package so I don't have to wait til tomorrow.

My Reisner arrived today too! He's so tall!!!!!! Really beautiful face, too!

 

Grr, did anyone else get the monotone jumper set for sd/sd13/dd -D-? My fingers are almost bleeding... the zipper is IMPOSSIBLE. It took me about 10 minutes to get it fully unzipped so I could put it *on* my girl, and now that it's on I can't get it to zip up. I've tried over and over, bunched up the fabric in different places to make sure nothing was in the way, even cut away all the annoying stray threads that were in the way and it still won't close >_>. I'm a little disappointed to have paid this much for this frustration :l and I *have* dealt with difficult zippers before so I know how tough tough can be... *spent 45 mins on a dollheart zipper before* but this just isn't do-able T_T.
