update edit: I knew it was probably not true but it looks like when their system did an update, some statuses got turned off so I got an email when they were reactivated. Sort of a bummer but I still have SO MUCH layaway to pay off and I feel like it would suck way more to know he was there but I couldn't get him yet.

I just got a notification from BJDivas that my dragon order arrived to them??????

I am baffled because I expected at least 6 months of waiting and possibly even into 2025 and yet ??????

Gonna email them back and see what's up but I am so confused right now ahaha

 

If you actually did get the yin long that quickly that would definitely be surprising.... I waited six months for mine, and I got him via. Dolk.... Still currently worrying over my MiYou I ordered a long while ago though..... Like... really worried... I think learning about the Dollshe fiasco didn't help at all....

 

Right? I was bamboozled but I'm glad they got back to me about the weird status update thing. Good to know

Ooof yeah, the whole Dollshe thing is a nightmare. But I think Dollzone, despite the long wait times, has been pretty reliable overall!

 

Yeah it's my fault for using BJDivas as a dealer I guess.... Luckily they told me that MiYou may be on his way!

 

Dear Sovayne, I can completely sympathize with your situation. I’m in the same boat with regard to wait-times. I ordered a 1/4 Scarecrow Hal through Denver Dolls during Dollzone’s discontinuation event back in May 2023. Sadly, no shipping notice yet.

I contacted DDE in Feb 2024, at the 9 month point, and they told me Dollzone’s wait-times are getting longer and longer. They told me to expect a wait-time of a year. I’ve been buying dolls from Dollzone for years, and I have never had to deal with a wait-time like this. What’s disappointing is that it appears that most people who ordered dolls during that discontinuation event in May have already received their dolls. It’s kind of depressing.

I hope Dollzone hasn’t lost my order.

I also haven't had to wait this long either! Generally they are on track 6 months on the dot (usually for me) and now, I guess they are going to take longer. Which is good information to have, thanks for sharing what DDE told you! I totally agree with you that the whole disappointing part is that it seems like everyone else that ordered in May 2023 has already got their dolls so it feels a bit like... well why not us?? xD

The last time I bought a Dollzone doll was a 1/4 Noel back in 2021. It took eight months for him to arrive. But, we were in the throes of the pandemic, so I knew it would take more time. Eight months actually seemed reasonable considering the terrible circumstances.

If I still don't hear anything by May, the one year mark, I'll ask Denver Dolls to please contact Dollzone about my order and ask what's up? Denver Dolls is a great store! I've bought BJDs from them for years. I have complete confidence that they will resolve the issue to my satisfaction, no matter what happens. But, I'm still anxious to get my doll. A whole year is a long time to wait!

Long wait times, basically. Luckily both MiYou and Alborah (Dream Valley Naga) got shipping notifications sent to me today, so they're gonna be home soon!

 

I have layaway on Yin Long 1/4 and Yin Long 1/6. They're going to be siblings.

My last payment is in June for 1/4 size, do they usually send dolls out quickly from BJDivas after layaway ends?

I'm super excited for the 1/4 size they're huge almost three feet long! I love them so much already.

 

I think it depends on if they already have the doll? If it was an instock doll, I’ve heard it takes them about a week to ship (?) but if it’s not an instock doll, then you have to wait until Dollzone ships to them regardless of layaway status.

I brushed his hair out after taking the pictures, and cut the extra choker piece. I even buttoned his pants tighter, but they bunch up a tad bit when he's sat.

Edit: DollZone's B70-004-1 cannot stand that well on carpet. I was very weary of letting him go.

I haven't seen mention on DoA of DZ Evan.
Wondering what others think of him.
He's kind of cool and I've been debating about getting him since the event started.
The fullset is pretty amazing and is supposed to be limited to 60 sets.

Funny you should mention Evan, I literally just put an Evan Regular Ver. in peach skin on layaway a couple days ago! I've been obsessing over him since he was announced and I couldn't resist anymore. I do love his fullset but I opted out of it as it doesn't suit the character I'm getting him for. I'm super excited.

 

I've never had a doll larger than 1/4, but I just had to put an order in for Evan. Got the fullset and second head too, love his sly smile. My biggest worry is how the heck am I going to display him

Maybe DDE will have some extras when they ship.
It might be a while though, my last full set from Dollzone took a year to come in!

Is the visor attached with magnets?

 

Yeah! There's a magnet inside the visor that seems to hold on to on in the head itself. The "ears" are now also attached with magnets, as are the shoes I think those were some of the changes for the 2.0 version at least... So happy she's here!

Hi there, just popped in to report that my Apsara arrived here after 3 months, on the day. He's blank but ordered during an event, and 3 months sounds so much better than 6+ months wait time, so I thought it could give some hope to those still waiting. Here's to Alice, they do the trick for me every time. They're incredibly fast

Just got the email that my Dollzone Carter Half Open Eye Demon Ver. is on the way! I ordered him back mid November, so he took about seven and a half months. I was thinking he would be getting done soon. Funny that it was only a few hours after I started a layaway for my next doll lol

Yeah, Alice said that DZ sometimes deliver nude dolls after app 3 months - so it seems that's no unique experience^^

 

Oh great ! My Nana may not take so long after all. She's a moon grey skin nude doll. Maybe special skin would take a little longer. And since I took layway option I'll have to wait anyway...

 

My YaoYao just shipped. I ordered her on the 9th of February. So a bit over 5 months for a blank doll. I’m really looking forward to getting her. The 1/5 size fascinates me and I can’t wait to compare her to my MiniFee.

Is it normal to be waiting so long?

I ordered birer and Robin heads back in November from BJDivas

I’m about to swear off preorders from large companies cause I’m so impatient…

 

5 to 7 months is rather common these days. It’s really dependant on the company, my Iplehouse order only took a month. The amount of waiting can also depend on which dealer you go through. Bjdivas can take a bit longer than some of the others. Hope you get your heads soon.

First time in this waiting room. I just ordered their collaboration doll Shadow (wyvern dragon). Judging by the posts and the nature of the doll, might be in for quite the wait!

 

Just got a shipping notice from Alice Collections the other day that my blank Antu was on its way. Wait was two weeks shy of five months. Really can't complain since I was mentally prepared for upwards of a six months wait. Here's to hoping its last leg of the journey goes smoothly.

 

actually a bit excited to get tracking notice for my orders of the first Dragon head, Mr. Loong just a little bit under 6mos time, but heads only no bodies this time.
Mr. Yunchi is next...

I'm wondering if they will do a different dragon head each season, if we might get a haunted one for fall, and an ice dragon for winter?

I was able to splurge a lil on dolls and bought a nude 75 cm boy. I really hope its not too big for that time frame.

At the time the dragons came out I could only afford to buy the heads but it feels nice to also have a body for them. I just wish I could've ordered the body in green. I'm debating whether I should draw designs instead of dyeing it because I'm still traumatized.

 

@Vimes I hope he'll make an early entry. My 3 months baby was a 73cm boy, so what's another 2 cm, right? Right??^^

The dragon heads were a collab with an independent artist who seems to be working with DZ longterm, so I hope so too! Their insta is zeajio. They also made Ya Cat, the jellyfish head, the kitty griffin, feather fox, and a few other great looking heads. I hope they continue to partner with DZ and release some great looking sculpts.

I ordered my Mr. Loong head really late so I don't expect to see him for a while lol. But I have him, Yunchi, the Devil, Xiangliu, and now Shadow on my waitlist. Kind of hoping that DZ cools it on the cool fantasy designs for a bit so my wallet can recover lmao

definitely feeling the same way as the group consensus here - between DZ and all their sister companies killing it lately - so many great sculpts being released in a short period.

It's going to be fun to see all of these come home and owner photos

 

My nana 1/3 fullset(not the mechanical version) is out for shipping now, which is much earlier than I expected, since I orderd her in january of this year and i've heard a lot about dollzones longer waiting times. Was kinda hoping she would be shipping later in the year since she is a birthday present for myself and my birthday is near the end of the year. But I'm still very excited and hoping I can hold off and not open her till my birthday lol

 

My Mr. Loong head shipped! IIRC I ordered on the last possible day to do so, so only a 3 and a half month wait, not bad.

@lynxie - it's hard to photograph it on the lighter background needed to compare the white & moon white, (plus cell phone pic) but in hand the black resin is so beautiful and rich. now I have to decide what colours to use to highlight for blushing. i had really wanted the green one too LOL. just give me all the dragons, already. I just noticed Yunchi is still for sale too.

@Grimalkin i ordered mine in white with transparent horns as I wasn't sure what image I have for the character and plan on dyeing him. I'm also a dragon lover and this year has been both a delight and a trial on my wallet lmao.

What bodies are you putting yours on? I thought the example on the 75 body was awfully pinheaded so I think I'll put it on a smaller body (I'm okay with modifying the neck hole to do so).
