Dollzone Discussion ~ 60 and 70cm ~ Part IX

I love Echo's styling, and her face, but it's not in my budget to get another big doll currently. If her head was a little bigger I'd consider getting it for my 2D Doll 68cm girl body, but I fear it'd be too pinheaded, which is my issue with the current Impldoll head on it.

Perhaps down the line I will get Echo, but currently my priorities are getting a new head for the 2D68 body, and getting a yosd elf eared girl in purple. I'm holding out hope that DZ will do another purple event and I can get a Little Snow.

It really is amazing how far Dollzone has come with their sculpting, especially on bodies. I once did a comparison of the B70-001 to the B70-003 in 2015, and already then the growth was amazing to see. I should take some of my big DZs out for pictures again, like my April elf...

 

Okay, I'm seriously considering getting Echo. The last time I ordered from Dollzone was years ago through a European dealer that no longer exists.
Is it better to order through a dealer or from Dollzone directly these days? I'm located in Europe, Germany, so shipping and taxes will probably be the same. I'm thinking about using Legend Doll. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with Dollzone's dealers?

 

@Amadiel I ordered the jellyfish with Alice's Collections and my experience was excellent. Communication was good, I was able to layaway, she let me order extra parts (transparent hands) and I had a change of address that all went through smoothly

I ordered two dolls at once from Alice in I think 2022 Halloween when they did the vampires, and a separate order of two heads. They were great—my two doll order took layaway, because it was a bit of an impulse order. Alice emailed me to confirm each payment, and their free shipping reached Canada pretty quick if memory serves!

There’s a good reason I currently have 2 Dollzone layaways with AC (even if they can’t give me free shipping on one of them, because she’s literally longer than I am!)

Also, your mileage may vary on this one, but I’ve never paid customs on dolls from Alice’s—Canada customs is incredibly lazy, if they see a big heavy box marked at $20 CAD, they don’t investigate that at all. I know most European customs are a lot more vigilant and will look up the value of the item sometimes when it’s underdeclared. But I believe Alice under declares by default, to try to save you some customs fees!

Could someone share their Dollzone dolls in moon gray resin?
I'm considering getting Echo in moon gray, I imagine the white faceup looks gorgeous on gray resin. But then again I always have a hard time imagining a faceup on a different skin tone than the ones shown on the promo pics.

 

I ordered the DZ slim body in tan on layaway today before the discount ran out. I hope to order either the Aska head next year to match, or track down a Soom Aslan head--still deciding.

 

I can't wait to see the body in the wild. I planned on getting one and then Abidoll dropped theirs which works a little better for a character I have in mind. I'll probably still buy one for my Lunarmate Soren head though, just later next year.

 

I'm getting the Abidoll and the DZ slim so I can let you know what I think of both

Does anyone have a 75cm boy (any body type) and can tell me what size the arm/shoulder socket is? Or even just the ball joint size that fits into the socket sized around it! I failed to consider this VERY important measurement for a custom arm for an incoming boy and I already got the comm rolling..... -_-

 

I would personally ask on the soom idealian cause I feel that's the standard when I'm trying to buy clothes XD

But while here, my dollzone muscular body at 75cm is 4.5 cm across the socket

 

Idealian 75 is smaller than DZ75 Slim, especially in the shoulder area, so I would not use ID measurements if the commission is specifically for a DZ body.

 

Has someone fell in love with him as much as I did?

I wish he were to scale for 60 cm instead of 70 cm, I'm worried 160cm long might be too big for me.

 

I wonder if their dealers are going to carry him, at his size! Alice’s didn’t list white snake, and when I asked to buy her from them, said they could sell her to me, but they could not do their customary free shipping because of the box she was going to come in, and I didn’t think he’s a little bit bigger even than she is.

the wings are magnificent—I wonder if gremlins who ask for parts can buy them separately

 

I wonder how these extra long dolls are packed into their boxes.... Surely they're not sent laying in a straight line, right? That would be an insanely long package!

Someone on discord asked and I believe New Clover Singing said they won't carry him, and Alice's said they'd talk to DZ about it.

 

I know people are hesitant, but bjdivas did plan on carrying them. I'm gonna need a year long lay away if I really want him, so my options for dealers are limited.

 

Dollzone, the new release, he's pretty. But, I have no more money.

 

I feel you on the no money thing. Especially since our dollar had tanked more. Still, I plan on only one doll this year!

Also my White Snake just got into the post office, so I’ll be picking her up tonight. Fish photos incoming sooner than expected, because shipping from China was both cheap and really fast. Makes me feel like I made the right choice by going through Alice (I currently have 1 more dz order, for light, through Alice, and 2 orders for other dolls, so I order from them A Lot.)

So like I mentioned before Moon arrived. Very securely packed - the wings and the crown had a whole padded separate box. I spent about 2 hours today putting the many outfit and resin pieces together (when will companies start making instructions on how to put outfit and accessories on a doll) and I loooooove him so much. Here is Moon in his fullset minus the wig (his original is just a simple long black and I got him one that looks much better in my opinion). The front chest piece and the back wings are connected only by ribbons and just hand on Moon's shoulders.. but it works, they seem pretty secure. I prefer seeing his whole face so I didn't put the crown over his one eye like he has in the promo pictures and I think in the end my Moon has a bit more pretty Butterfly/Moth Prince vibe than the mysterious from Dollzone pics and I'm happy with it - he's very cute haha now I need to start planning on getting Hush some outfit so they can pose together at some point haha. 2 extra Pics including face close up in a spoiler because I couldn't choose just one to show...

New 70cm girl named Tumi. I love the snake crown! And, if they hadn't just teased Night Butterfly at GZDP I might be trying to get her. But, I need Night Butterflies dress! Tumi in the first link and Night Butterfly and a few other teases in the second.
