    2. Nice, everyone. We definitely need more spam.
Seems that people don't know about the tread change yet.

Wonder when the first deers make it out.
If nothing changes, I should be able to get them from a spit, too. Already waiting more than 2 months.

Furuse (DZ Karasutengu) says: 'Hi, wanna play? It's summer time.'
He's just got a new wig matching his eye's color.

    3. Ha, new thread! That calls for some new thread spam.

Here are Yarrow and Patch showing off what they can do with their newly wired legs:

    4. Hi! I've never been in the old thread but might join the new one :)

    5. Hello ^_^ such cute pics :aheartbea

My DZ dragon arrived yesterday from a uk dealer who has a couple in stock :D Hopefully I will soon be sending him off to a friend to be blushed, and once that's done I'll actually give him a proper outfit, heh. But for now, here's Fáfnir as he currently looks ^_^

    6. Nice tinies, everyone. :) And good to see more people coming.
@Fairy Milliner: Seeing your photo, I really need to wire my Momo, too.

Congrats on getting your first tiny, deadpixel, he looks cute in the clothes.
It makes me smile to see your avatar and the little dragon boy together.

If anybody is looking for tiny clothes, MoC has clothes from KuYinDiDa; they have miniBB (14-16cm) and BB (25-27cm) sizes.

    7. My little deers make it home; they came in a nice bag, better one than my DZ Fairy or Momo had.
Here is an introduction photo of Inmu (DZ deer girl) and Yanku (DZ deer boy), the Autumn spirits.

When unwrapping them, I was disappointed that they didn’t have the face-up A, I wanted, but their face-ups (B) are really nice too, especially the girl’s one, so no complaint here any more. Maybe one, the eyelashes were damaged and had to be taken out. I know that they are officially free dolls, but if somebody pays for the face ups then they should be more careful.

They still need proper wigs, at least Inmu, because she insists on having one. Yanku is pretty happy being bald as long as he can have his antlers on. (And this is where Dollzone cheated, the magnets are not strong enough to support the antlers or ears when the wigs are on, no need mention the cape from the outfit as in their promo photos. I will need to figure out something.)

In case somebody is curious, they don't come with human legs, but they do have the same miniBB body as my DZ Karasutengu. DZ deer girl's eyes are 6mm, DZ deer boy's 8mm. Their heads are smaller (13cm), so the wigs I've got for the other DZ miniBB are too big.

*off to search 13cm size wigs*

    8. those hooves and antlers are so cute :D it's a shame the magnets aren't strong enough, I guess you'll have to butcher a few wigs and make holes for the antlers/ears to attach through. I'm surprised at that though, the magnets for my dragon's horns are very strong and since the horns are probably lighter than those antlers it means they have no trouble attaching through even a thick fur wig.

    9. What cute little deer! How well does the one balance with the antlers?

Just a little Amelia that I took today:

    10. Amelia is having fun.
I think, you already mentioned it somewhere, quidam, but where are the clothes from? Have you made them?

Actually the magnets seems to be ok, but now you mentioned it, there is a difference from the dragons. I've got the dragon girl and her magnets are in the cap, but the deer dolls have them glued inside the cap (see the photo below), so the power need to go through the whole resin mass of the cap and a wig (and possibly a cap) which is just too much. So if I want them to wear a wig, I'll just take the magnets and tape them on the cap.

They are really tightly strung and the ankle joint is not very moveable, so to make them stand up is a bit task, but once they are standing they are quite stable, the antlers / ears don't make it more difficult unless you want something more advanced.

Btw. I think, the girl's ears are nice bunny ears for MSD/SD sized dolls.

    11. Vincent (Leo) and Violetta (Luna) say hi! ^_^

I really like this picture. It came out really clear, for my camera. I want a faceup for Vincent so badly, I just can't figure out what I want for him.

Anyway, I also wanted to say that everyone else's little ones are looking mighty cute! :D

      Here's an extra shot:

    12. They are from Fairyland. Pukipuki size are a fairly good fit. I had to take the shirt and hat in just a bit.

    13. Question for those who own 1/6 size, especially boy owners: where do you find your clothes for them? I know that they are bigger than standard.

    14. hi

this is my dollzone tiny, a momo...

      [IMG][/IMG]

i think she is really sweet, though i think i need to do her eyebrows again, and the black eyeliner is a bit bold lol xx

    15. here she is dressed with wig :)

      [IMG][/IMG]

    16. Deedee, your Momo is cute! I'm always happy to see another Momo - they're amazing little dolls, and you did a great job on such a small face!

I had fun experimenting with making fur wigs earlier this week, and I made this one for Emily:

    17. Here's my little Leo, who arrived home today. he's nameless just now, and has no face-up. He's borrowing Emily's wig and he came with clothes:

I'm so happy with him - I love him to bits, and its twice as much fun having the together!

HackerEd: thanks for the tip about the scrapbook paper. Great idea!

    18. Here's my tiny, QiPao, a dragon girl in her ostrich egg!

    19. I finally have something I can share with you guys! I've been lurking and looking at all your wonderful pics!
I've just started on building up my Deerboy blushing and faceup wise.
Here's what I have so far with his back.
Speckles by .::Avalon Jane::., on Flickr
His name is Damhnait which means little faun/deer.

    20. Damhnait looks super-cute. And I love the dragonbaby in the eggshell - brilliant idea!

Here's Leroy, my DZ Leo, who has a very basic face-up now...

(yes, he still has Emily's wig...)

    21. @Fairy Milliner: Emily and Leroy look cute together.
What wigs do you use? From Dollzone? I’ve quite hard time to find really fitting wigs for those miniminiBBs.

@oOnyaOo: Nice work; Damhnait looks nice. :3nodding:

And some news from us, Furuse (DZ Karasutengu) has got new. Of course in red.

    22. Sky: Try Dreamingtreestudios on etsy. Her eyes are insanely cheap and very pretty. Totally worth a check. :nodnod:

    23. thanks stephanie, i'll look it up ^_^

    24. My MSC arrived, and so I finally got around to faceupping my Uriel (Dollzone Leo). It's my first faceup, so it's not amazing, but he looks pretty much as I planned ^^ He's not got the wig or eyes I want for him yet, nor does he have any clothes yet, but I thought I'd put up a few pics anyway >.<

      With Ceri-nee <3

    25. Very nice for a first face up! Have you done something similar before? It looks great!

ETA: Grrrr, DZ's site says that the girl event deer takes 6mm eyes... well I happened to have a pair of 6mm laying around and they are too small! I just ordered two pair for her... Hopefully CiG will let me change my order. Stupid DZ. I've seen sites recommend eyes that in my opinion make doll look bug eyed... but I've never seen them recommend ones that are literally too small...

    26. Aww, thank you <3 Nah, never have... but I have some experience painting and drawing on paper ^^;

CMS: Aww, that about the eyes sucks! I hate when I pay for something and discover it's totally wrong and can't be used -.- (okay, that's stating the obvious here, Winny, of course everybody does that >.<)

    27. Now I'm confused though... I have a pair of 8mm eyes from DDE and they are clearly too big... and they are bigger than the eyes they sent me... So the ones they sent have to be 6mm... but I have a pair of 6mm from captured in glass (whom I ordered new ones from) and they are too small. I guess there is a difference between manufactures that is just enough to make a big difference in such tiny eyes... So I hope the 8mm from CiG look better than the DDE 8mm... oi vey

    28. Question for any owners of Dollzone BB's: where do you find shoes for them? My Natasha and Emily just arrived on Monday and I do have clothes for them, but nothing from my shoe stash will work. They have such cute little chubby feet but everything I have is either too small or too big.

    29. I have a leeke shoes that fits with socks, if the shoes are a bit bigger try with socks

    30. I bought my Uriel secondhand, and included was a set of Blythe sneakers... those fits him perfectly

    31. I've had a similar issue with my deer boy. I have no idea what eye size he actually takes. He is wearing the eyes he came with because it turned out I liked them on him but the eyes I had ordered thinking they just might make it are 12mm (he is supposed to take 10mm) do fit and have the same size iris as the eyes he came with. I have been told by others he really needs 8mm eyes so I have no idea. The eyes I ordered for him came from Doll-leaves. It really seems to be that different companies make different sized eyes especially in regard to iris and pupil size. This was far less noticeable with my larger sized dolls and the majority of my dolls take 16mm or larger eyes so I've not dealt with this much before.

All this talk about the deer kids reminds me that I haven't shared any pictures of Esca here yet. That just won't do.
here is my shy little deer boy. I knew the moment I saw the mold I had to have him.

    32. According to DZ, the boy takes 8mm and the girl takes 6mm. I have the girl head on a male body and my CiG 6mm were too small for the eyes. But my 8mm DDE glass eyes were too big.

      Here's a picture of the 6mm:
The pupil size is lovely but they whites aren't big enough. Maybe I need to find an oval 6mm?

      Here's a picture of the 8mm:
Though looking at them again, I kinda like them. Maybe the tiniest touch bigger than I'd like but I should stop being so picky haha

But I agree.. I bought $550 of stuff I didn't want just to get this doll... and when it came, I ran to the MP and put a WS boy head/boy body on layaway. They are amazing <3

      And just for funsies:
This isn't his permanent wig, but I was trying it on. It's a 4-5 from dollzone and fits perfectly. The wig is terrible though so I won't be leaving it on him. Speaking of... I need to come up with a name for him haha

    33. Iris: Your deer boy is so cute!! <3 I almost want one myself >.<

Call me Stephanie: Hmm yeah, those 6mm have to small whites; I think you should try out a set of oval ones, as you mentioned. You could probably find a cheap pair on ebay, just to try how they fit... no need to use too much money if you don't know if they're the right kind.
But I also think the size of the pupil in the 6mm are prettier... I prefer to have eyes with smaller irises for my dolls too ^^

    34. oh I have a deer girl but she turned into a girl )on pukifee body) my pukifee wanted to be a deer so they are happy with the trade.....they insisted on keeping there own hands....my icis can't keep her head straight now(with a lot of patient it works) because the dollzone neck is thicker but I like it this way.I gave my girl some lighter eyes and I think they are 8mm she needs bigger eyelashes, more curling upwards
      [IMG][IMG]

    35. Winona: Yeah, I ordered CiG 8mm and they seem to be a bit smaller than the DDE eyes. I hope they work, but if not I'll figure something out. But I agree, I love the smaller iris look.

wilkies: How cute! Maybe you could mod the deer body to fit the pkf head better?

    36. Thanks for the shoe recommendations, nanichan and WinonaFlammery. I also have a couple of Little Fee-sized shoes and they work with thicker socks as well.

    37. yes I will make the neckhole a bit bigger if she stays like this :)

    38. IS THAT A BRAIDED BEARD ON HIS FACE?! He's so super great! I can't wait to see more of him!!!

    39. Blandarn the dwarf :) love his braided beard

    40. Blandarn looks great! I also have much love for that beard :D Pirates are win...

though that may not be an entirely unbiased opinion...

    41. yay pirate love!

I'm not gonna lie, appling facial hair was a PAIN IN THE ARSE. But it was worth it. ^_^ Even among the large dolls, you don't normally see beards that are very long, so I'm excited to feel unique. And also excited that the beard isn't falling off >.<

deadpixel did you make that pirate outfit? Looks great!

    42. Oh! I've never imagine my little Jing as a Dwarf or a pirate, great custom! Congrats!

    43. ah, thank you ^////^ I try to make as much doll clothing myself as possible, I find it saves a lot of money in the long run. It'll take me a good few years at least before I can hope to match professionally-made garments especially in terms of finishing detail, but practice makes perfect ^_^

That is by far the most impressive beard I've ever seen, on doll or human xD definitely well worth the effort that must have gone into it!

    44. OH MY GOSH! That is so creative, I never would have thought "This yo-sd sized doll could be a dwarf" instead of just, you know a kid ... and he looks amazing to boot!!

    45. deadpixel I started out that way, thinking, "if I sew them things myself, I'll save money!" And I did that for a bit.....then I used the extra money to buy more dolls.....now I can't sew fast enough to keep them all clothed so I wind up buying a lot more often :sweat

      missasher hehe thanks ^_^

The only hurdle to making a dwarf has been getting the body right. At first I had a Impldoll body, it had a nice rounded belly like a beer belly, but was very dainty overall, especially in the hands. Right now Blandarn is borrowing a littlefee body. It's thicker, which is good, but still not right.

So it's pretty funny that I've finally decided its best to just get an old-style dollzone body for him. Long arms, thick body, pudgy hands, perfection! Or at least i think it will be ~_^

    46. Both of my BBs are the old body, and I'm pretty sure you'll like it for what you're going for. Posing isn't as good, but I think it's to be expected. It's just a little frustrating attempting to clothe both my BBs and my Teenie Gems since their bodies are so different.

    47. I don't think I've actually seen a comparison of the two bodies. Do you have a comparison photo? I have a TG too. I hope the pirate coat still fits >.<

    48. Suddenly

    49. Your Leo girl looks adorable, Poltorakota! I have a Leo that I have been contemplating making into a girl so you have given me some great inspiration!

    50. very cute Poltorkota her mischievousness made me giggle ^_^

    51. Poltorkota: Aww, she's adorable!

My second deer is on her way here. I think she's on a plane from China. I hope she gets here soon. I'm so excited for her... then I'll have both a tan and a white skin. A female head and a male head! <3

    52. Love Yolka's earrings too!

    53. Hi.

Don't know much about DZ, but I'm looking for a tiny ca. 11cm.
I found Nono and Momo, but are there others ? With smaller eyes maybe ?

I would like photos, please ?

    54. Mermaid: I'm really happy about it! Being an inspiration is nice :)
Skyealloway: thank you! She's always so positive
      Call me Stephanie: Thank you!
flgirl05: oh, I remember that drilling through her ears argh... But I'm happy with how they look now

    55. skyealloway: That beard is pure awesomeness!!! *0* How creative and inspirational >.<

      Poltorakota:
Aww, I love your Leo girl!! I love Leos in general (in my unbiased opinion, mhm *sarcasm*) XD

Lisaastrup: Heey! You're that Danish girl on the Norwegian doll forum who makes those absolutely astounding mohair wigs, right? If I remember your name correctly...?

    56. Yup, they're beautiful, and I'm so gonna have one when I get a doll who'll fit one >.<

    57. I make them for SD, MSD- minifee - littlefee/U-noa and Lati yellow, so there is lot of sizes :)

    58. Yeah, I mean look-wise >.<
