I have an incoming Dollzone Hal mini of course.. can anyone tell me where you all buy clothes for the B16-002 bodies?
I bought stuff on etsy. i usually look for things that are latti yellow or pukifee. im not to sure on how accurate the measurements are but once my stuff comes in the mail i can let you know. also blythe shoes fit ok. they are alittle big but they work.
@loveless1337 Thank you for the reply. I am eagerly awaiting for mine to arrive. I am stalking esty now.
I got an outfit for my Raphael on the same (boy) body from Target. It fit pretty well, but I had to move the Velcro on the skirt to make it smaller. It's a good temporary outfit until I make her some, decent quality for the price. It is a Lori by OG (Our Generation) outfit. Even the shoes fit (rubber with a slit in the back.) The only thing that didn't were the glasses that came with it.
They are a 14mm but 12mm is the recommended size. I've got a Hal incoming (the wait is SO long), and her recommended is 10 mm. You probably already knew that, but I find it very odd that all the DZ BBs on the same body have different eyes sizes.
I did see that each doll has different eyes sizes.. are they reliably correct. 10mm is tiny.. I have 12mm but not 10s. I love the look of the tinys.. How do they pose? I've owned a pukipuki Niko, Bobobie Erin (I think was the sculpt) and Resinsoul Yu... None stayed very long. I think I wanted a more mature type doll to have as my dollhouse type doll. I know these don't have the developed chest but the face could easily be older. P.S. Anyone with a Hal... What size head does she have? Dollzone says 13cm, Denverdoll says 14.5. I assume its 13 but I don't want to buy a wig the wrong size.
The only owner comment on wig size I've seen mentioned in passing it was Late Yellow/Pukifee size. As far as if the eye eye is correct on Raphael, I'd say so. The 14s were really big. I put in 12s today, and they look better. However both did fit. I'm starting to get a bit impatient for my order to arrive, lol.
I bought a wig for my incoming girl. Its a Monique gold "Paige" in chocolate red. I am going to try to make her shoes.. I want to make a pair of moccasins. I found a tutorial on youtube . I am going to make a fairy tale type dollhouse for my incoming girl. Does anyone else have dollhouses for their Dollzone tinys?
No dollhouse for me yet. I'm hoping to get or make one though. Here is a thread I'm them if you are interested. Part 1 & 2 are out there somewhere, lol. Can't wait to see yours. Homes for Tinies discussion part 3
My doll arrived today. She is a tad larger than I was expecting but its not an unhappy discovery. She is 16.5-17cm tall. I will post pictures tomorrow seeing that I am feeling sick today. Hope everyone is having a great day!
So I have a male mini Shoyo coming in hopefully soon, it's been 6 months already. He's going to be a mini me of my MSD male Shoyo and I was just wondering if anyone knew good places to get BOY clothes that small? My only other tiny is female, and looking around websites I'm mostly finding dresses that small. I was going to post a link to my MSD boy's album but photobucket isn't wanting to work. Basically I'm just looking for t-shirts, jeans, and hoodies. Preferably in a color not black or white.
@loveless1337 Your Hal is adorable. My Megi, Mo, and Hal arrived yesterday. Lol, poor kiddos, Mo and Hal are waiting for a home face up, and no one has the right size wig. I wanted to see them in person before buying eyes or wigs, but now i can't put any pics out! You guy might get crazy looking pictures from me, just out of sheer wanting to share! Hope no one gets upset about the double post. I wanted to get a pic of the new ones up once i got their face ups done. They aren't wearing their proper eyes and wigs yet, but I know there are people waiting to see how the new sculpts look. Mo (my f/u), Megi (DZ f/u), Raphael (f/u me), Hal (f/u me)
Thanks so much! As for mine, the brown wig is really the only one that fits, and it is a 5/6. The others are either squeezed on, perched and strapped on, or too big. I didn't want to get any before I did the face up. I'm not so great at visualizing, lol.
Hi quick question. Has anyone tried to hybrid a mini kitty head onto a DZ B18-001 (Antita body) body?
I didn't put her on the DZ18 body but on the DC BB5, with a heavy neck mod. But I have a comparison pictures if it helps :
Enter in a brain that quit working. Is it the doll right beside her on the left with the DZ18 body? It looks like they might fit..
So, I think Scorpio is on topic. At least I couldn't find anything that said the opposite. Is she? If so, I really wanna babble on. c.c Also, I have a mini Hal incoming and was hoping those who have one could post more pictures?
Haven't been here for a while. Here's a random pic of my Mira going to Tallinn during Easter holidays. )) That's next to Neitsitorn.
I've got a mini kitty that I'm trying to restring and I'm very new at this. Does anyone know what kind of elastic would work from a craft store in the US, or do I really need to buy it online special? Thank you in advance.
@Lupe540 I think you can take just a regular elastic cord from your local crafts store, about 2mm diameter will do for tinies. I'm using elastic cords for different crafts - the ones I buy from store and the ones that come with dolls look and feel/stretch pretty much the same to me.
Unfortunately, she is off topic. I just happened to read about it on a news notice for a store selling them. (Limited Items - Separate order of limited DZ Scorpio till the end of March!) She's a great little sculpt. My Hal is still not even close to done, but I grabbed a quick picture in her new wig. It still needs to be fitted to her, and I'm not sure if it is her color or not, lol. Here's my little sweetie:
So I got that, and things seem to be working, but I can't get her head to stay on!! The s hook keeps slipping and there's so little space inside her head for it to stay. Any suggestions?
MY BOY IS HERE! Please Excuse his clothing, I have clothes ordered for him and they haven't arrived yet, that's one of my yoSDs shirts XD. And the eyes are just temp eyes, I was going to leave his defaults in but DZ decided 14 mm eyes were what this little boy needed. so I had these 12s laying around so he's using them for now so he at least has some white in his eyes.
@Lupe540 Hmmm... Well, what I would do if the head wouldn't stay on is to check if the hook is the right size. And make sure the knot is either inside the body or inside the head, otherwise it wont fit by any means. And make sure the elastic isn't overly twisted round and round inside the body, it may want to unwind and will cause the hook to slip back off the grooves. Also maybe making the grooves for holding the hook a bit bigger will do the trick. Seriously, depends on the situation. Good luck with it. ^^ @equine-aurora Congrats on your boy!
Does anyone know what size wig a Dollzone Deer Girl would wear, please? I have one on the way (very excited!) and would like her to not have to be bald for too long.
Okay so I think the problem was that I strung her a little too loosely, and also that the elastic might've been twisted. I think it was twisted because when I was first having the problem, it kept rotating out but that didn't occur to me that would be the problem. Eventually that stopped and it stayed put in the grooves, but her head kept rolling around. I tightened the elastic a bit and she seems better~
@Lupe540 Glad to hear the problem is solved and that I could help. Another photo of my Mira. Finished knitting a sweater for him, this time it's from fine sewing thread. Like the way it turned out and the proportions of the fine knit compared to ordinary yarn.
Does anyone else have a Nono event doll? I've just traded for one. And while she's cute as can be even restringing didn't help her posing. She sort of just falls over. I know the single joint doesn't help. But does anyone know of anything that might help? I even wired her legs to help with the stability.
@vertefae I use hot glue sueding on my guys, that usually helps with posing and overall stability. I kind of tend to get tinies with hip or leg joints that have minor fitting flaws that won't let them stay in straight position properly, and I don't risk filing such thin surfaces by myself, so hot glue always a good solution for me. I take hot glue from the gun with a toothpick and spread it over the joints in a very thin layer. Tinies don't require much since the joints are so small.
It was a lovely day out, so I took my Little Anita to the park to have a lazy little lie-down in the shade~! ❀ ❀ ❀
Thank you! I'll give that a try. She's so cute, it was driving me batty that she couldn't stand without the knee buckling.
@vertefae Good luck! )) I got my DL tiny with the same knee problem. After hot glue she stands like a rock now. )))
Is this the place for my Ulli? He is so photogenic. Bit late for Easter, I just didn't know where to put him.
Oh, he is adorable! I haven't seen an Ulli before. He has a great expression. I came into the hobby too late for Deer Boys. He is a cutie! I love how well his pants go with his legs and hooves. Thought I'd pop in for a more updated picture of my little oddling, Ella. She is a Baby Raphael.
@bluepita. Your little girl is so cute with her bear. Purple eyes are on my want list they are pretty. My Ulli has a very special power which none of my other dolls have. It is impossible to take a bad photo of him. No matter what position he is in I look at the screen and I swear he is poseing.
@Angelfey That is awesome. I have the hardest time getting my dolls to look like they aren't staring off into space, though I'm not much of a photographer in the first place. I've been trying to spend some time learning to take pictures, though this one was just a spur of the moment snapshot. DollZone's tiny animals are so cute! Every time I see one posted, I'm so tempted.
i just got a great deal on a dollzone mini bb mo, so he'll be joining me soon! i'm excited, these tinies are so cute. also, i agree. D: i love their tiny animals.
@bluepita i'll be sure to post photos of him when he gets here! he won't have anything but eyes and no faceup at all, but that's alright. i'll figure something out for him for sure. i'd love to see your mo too! (also this isn't related to this topic at all but i saw that you like schnauzers. i have two miniature schnauzers. i love them. thought i'd say so!)
Hello in this thread! I recently received the first doll from DollZone - babe Cherry. I named her Lily.
Hello. This is Lulu, and she really wants to join your company. Lulu lives with me for about three years and I really like to photograph it and sew her outfits.
@Taskasbears, thank you very much for the kind words. This dress was almost entirely sewn by hand and I'm very proud of him. @Angelfey, similar to the dandelion
I'll be no help, Angelfey I love both too! I ordered an Anita head back in January or February, and finally got it two weeks ago. I was hoping to hybrid it with another body I have. Unfortunately I ordered it in DZ yellow, not pink, so the resin match is terrible. And the scale is wrong with the body. So now the head needs a body...
Ah, I like them both too! I sure wish they would release a male or gender neutral in this size. I could get one, but hate to have to mod it. I'm still waiting on an order from end of January, sigh. ( it's the OT monkey event doll) The long wait is making me only look at secondhand, if at all anymore. I do hope someone does order them, I'd loooove to see pictures!
I love how companies like DZ are starting to make more bjd in small size with more mature physique such as Soom's Ondiin! I hope this trend continues~
Does anyone know where to find nice clothes for a 19cm doll? I really want to get my little mini kitty some new clothes that are really nice quality, but im afraid to pay a bunch of money for something on etsy that would end up not fitting..
