I don't know it's curved to fit the head and the top is still a magnet, so it still might fall off all the same or even less, but I'm not dropping him to find out XD I about started to cry when I first dropped Momo and her little head cap fell off under my car ^_^;

Airi spam from her pants-less shoot the other day. You can see her underwear better in this shot.

SummerRaine Eurwyn is a boy *points to a couple of posts back* XD ^_^ But since Kal is bodyless and Farhad is not here it's all I have right now

 

like I said you guys, the difference in white isn't actually that big.
Lena has yellowed some, but not -that- much.
I had to raise the contrast a lot in that picture and it makes her look darker than she actually is

 

Well I have a white DZ Mo atm, but really not bonding with him which is weird cos i love all your guys Mo's- can't figure out why I have issues with him. So selling him to a friend as she fell in love with him and keeps stealing him. not sure if its the skin colour or something *shrugs* Anyway I just wanted to see other peoples boys, probably the less seen boys. I mean I have seen many beautiful megi's and mo's but havent seen many Jake's and Rays(As well as the other boy sculpts).

 

Keet here on DoA has a very handsome Luke boy, Ray is kinda bobbleheaded in my opinion though handsome.. and Hid is Handsome

 

Yes Ray can seem bobbleheaded, it was just the only other boy sculpts I could think of XD

 

xobrittuhox, my AoD boy Robin has that same shirt and wig Akio is wearing. So from a distance he looks just like him

I just bought Raphael (nude, white, face up) from Junkyspot a few moments ago, they've already labeled him as shipped, but since it's midnight EST I'm guessing they just printed the label and he'll get out tomorrow ^_^
he should be here Friday or Saturday

This will be my very first dollzone (though I steal EleanoreAnne's Lena all the time :P) , and my first first-hand doll that will come ready to go out of box. I always get company dolls blank :P cuz I'm cheap.

So I'm really excited to open that box and see his beautiful face staring back at me ;3;

I didn't get him fullset because Junkyspot had him in stock nude and I didn't want to wait XD I do plan to get his outfit though ^__^

His name is Fleurance Delecour (yes, i did steal it from harry potter :B) AKA Fleur. and he's an imaginary friend to my CH Bisou Ai, Anya ^__^

Lol! That's funny. I actually have no idea what wig Akio has on. It's a monique gold wig, but I don't know the style. It was a modified wig that I bought from a friend a few years back.

That's really cool! But how is the posing? Does everything fit together properly?

Knibitz: Congrats on getting your first DZ doll is the body that he is coming with double jointed or single? I bought Iksel from Minto on card cause they weren't charging extra for the double jointed body

Lol Well im not sure on junky spot i think they charge extra $10 or something for a double jointed body instead of the single. but i did my layaway for iksel on minto on card and the double jointed came with the sculpt i wanted so i didn't have to pay anything extra So i think it just depends on where you purchase your doll and stuff :nod nod:

 

Knibitz : haha no problem, and it's just fine that you have a guy named Fleur lol, I actually think it's cool. Anyways, my Gender confused Machika also says Welcome btw.




Yuki: I've never heard of anyone charging extra from the double-jointed body.

 

Everything fits just fine, and nothing looks out of proportion. The body has the single-jointed hands and legs, with the double jointed arms and torso. I prefer the old hands, personally. The hands that come with the double-jointed body look too stubby for my taste.

Posing is no problem either and I find the body to be much more sturdy with the single-jointed legs. What I dislike about the double-jointed legs was the mobility joint and the tendency of the pelvic balls to get turned around easily, becoming a pain in the rear to adjust if my doll was wearing pants. At least, that was my experience with both double-jointed bodies I've owned, can't speak for anyone else.

Currently, this body needs some new elastic, but otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with the end result.

 

Yuki: I'm hearing that the single jointed body has been phased out and you can't get it unless you request it?? Where are you getting your information from??

 

Sorry, when I first was looking into getting my DZ mo'wen doll, on some of the layaway sites they had the single body that the doll was coming with or an option to pay more for the double jointed. but now it seems they arent selling the single jointed bodies anymore and everything is double jointed. sorry for the confusion

oh SOME of the DZ dolls on denver doll site you can select either double jointed or single, but not all of them have the option :/

 

I wonder if DenverDoll just has old stock laying around then?

they do still sell the single jointed body, but you do have to special request it. Back when I got Airi there was still an option on the order page so I'm not sure how recent that change is. Fairly recent it sounds like.

 

But...But double jointed bodies are sooo amazing! See!?

So I just checked the DZ Site. The Single jointed body is still there. So you can still get it, you just have to request it.

 

The single joint body is request only and keet's Fei is coming single ... and it does cost like 10$ less

and like I already said before over IM I'm pretty sure that he'll be on the double jointed body 'cause it's the default for new dolls now and you only get the single joint upon request.

 

Ooooh, what type of wigs do you use for your two boys?? Especially your Mo. I'm looking for wigs with that general shape/cut. Or did you cut them yourself?

Me neither. I don't see why, especially if they plan on completely integrating the dbl jointed bodies. But, then again, I miss when blank MSDs cost $200 from DZ. >_>

Awesome! I don't know why I didn't think of this when I got the new bodies and before I sold the old ones. Then again, I don't like the knees of either one, and my boy's stand fairly well. I miss the weight of the old bodies though. They were ROCKS! lol

They are both Monique Gold wigs. Yoshirou has the BJ wig (I think it's BJ). Akio has a cut monique, but I don't know what style it is. ^_^ If you go to the website, you may be able to find something close!

Okay, so I've been having the worst case of wig's block ever (meaning I just cannot figure out what wig would look cute on my MNF Marcia). I'd post this in the MNF thread, but I hate posting there xp. It moves too fast to get any real help. So, to keep this as on topic as possible, where does everyone get their short wigs from? I'm 100% desperate at this point! D:

 

hmmm, well I guess Airi's is more medium then short but her wig is from iplehouse, my boy's which is short is from fairyland.

So y'all want to know how epic DZ's are? While taking pictures of Machika in Fanfic's house she faceplanted, instead of hurting herself, she hurt the board of the alcove seat. There's now a dent in the board from her nose.

 

ahaha DZs are soooo sturdy, I love them.

Also, slightly OT, but I was at work today (I work at JoAnn; glamorous, no?) and someone bought a doll magazine (didn't even know we had 'em!) and I started talking to him and it turns out his wife collects Pullips. This was officially my first "outside" BJD experience.
