Can all you guys share pictures of your DZ MSDs, please & thank you. I need some much needed motivation & I want to see all kinds of dolls. Maybe get my mind going

Took some quick shots of Widget and Kael. This is Widget's first intro in the thread, she's an Ivan currently with default faceup and on a boy body, but I might change her to a girl body in the future. Definitely a case of a doll having a different idea for a character than I did ;D

Hey @gaiboiozz ! Here is my Datura. I already shown her some posts ago but here we can see her eyes more clearly. Her right one is blind. ^.^

Anybody that happens to have the new B45-018 male body (Ita/ Seventeen) already and also has one of these bodies; B45-013, B45-014, B45-015 and would take some comparison pictures of them together?

Also would love a comparison picture of the B45-012 and the B45-016 together. (it's weird, al their meassurements are the same, yet the 016 is 3cm bigger O.o" guess it has to be the torso length)

Having some trouble deciding wich bodies to pick for my heads xD

Hi. I got my dollzone Ita a couple weeks ago - he was in stock on legenddoll and it seemed, like nobody wanted him. I really didn't like him on promo and he seems to be quite rare mold. So, i just bought him. And he is really amazing. Really fragile. His name is Pierrot.

 

Hiya all! I have a question!

I am getting a Dollzone Yui soon, but eyes aren't included (secondhand doll)... I was looking for the measurements and it said 22mm. Well... my SDs Smartdoll have 22mm so that seems rather big...

Is it correct that Yui has 22mm eyes?

 

As luck would have it, I never got around to putting the eyes that came with Mirai in. I'd say that they might be 20mm? (Pardon the truly awful pic, this phone is the absolute worst) I'm guessing Yui's would be the same size?

 

Yeah it should be the same size as Mirai. Thanks for the photo! It just seems so big for MSD dolls :'D

 

By chance, does anyone happen to have a body in old white (2017 or earlier) that you can compare to the new white? Or maybe even compare old white and old pink (is there really much of a difference)? I was stuck in the order cancellation for old white episode and am still trying to find a body to match my old white Freddy head from 2013.

 

The eye measurements DZ lists for their sculpts tend to run 2 sizes too big (IMO) Most of my MSDs wear 12-14, but eye size is largely down to owner preference. I have also found the sculpt specific gallery threads, where people often list what size wig and eyes their doll is wearing, quite helpful because you can usually see how a variety of eye sizes and styles look.

@MacaronTea - in the past I've had luck hybriding Illusion Spirit white with old (2011) DZ white

 

Yeah I used to have 14mm for the normal MSD's. I received the Yui last Friday and I can see where the 22mm come from :'D I got 20mm anime eyes (which are lost in the mail.......) and thus now she's wearing 18mm non-anime glass eyes.

My hybrid is complete! J.I.D. head in normal skin (2017) on a DZ B45-009 body in pink (2018)

He's a total trap. He has a big head (about 1/2 shoulder width), so other hybridizers beware... I aesthetically love this look. The resin match is incredibly close. The Iplehouse head is actually a bit yellower, but it's only visible in certain lighting. The head may have actually yellowed a bit, but it's been out of the sunlight.. I love, love, love his body so much and I'm glad I saved up for it instead of my cheaper considerations. My favorite part of it is his belly and the curvature of the arms. He poses with such attitude! He needs a different shirt... the leathery one is way too skimpy. Might need to sew something to get a shirt close to canon...

He is very cute, however please do not use the word 'Trap' as it is incredibly offensive and transphobic.

 

Does anyone know if the new Normal Pink matches the older normal pink at all? I bought a body before they released the new resin in 2016 and I want to get some hands, but thinking they may not match.

 

Hello everyone! I'm doing some research on doll companies to pick out my first bjd. I was wondering if the pink resin looks human? I like the white resin from DZ, but I'm concerned that it will look paper white, but I'm concerned the pink resin will look too pink... I'm so picky, but I want to make sure I'll be satisfied with my first bjd.
Comparison shots would be appreciated!!

The one of the left is White Skin while the one on the right is Pink Skin
Their white is a creamy white, not paper white at all, I think out of all their skins, I favor pink the most. It's pinky but natural

DZ recently redid their colors. The white is now a creamy color.

Hi there!! I see that Dollzone recently did their June event -- I'm wondering if that counts as their summer event for the season? I'm really hoping to order the new 1/4 boy body that comes with seventeen but I'm wondering if I should wait a little bit to see if there are any events.

I'm a bit late, but I also took a photo of my white and pink skinned DZ dolls in natural light. I ordered white first and expected to favour it but I agree with @NamelessPierrot that the pink skin feels more natural. I think it helps him look more 'alive', whereas my white skin dolls feel slightly more fantasy.

After what feels like forever, I finally got my boy Cole~! He's an Ivan on the B45-018 body, and is basically going to be a modern version of Cole from Dragon Age. The body is absolutely gorgeous, his hands and feet are just so elegant and gangly It was tricky finding the right sculpt, and while Ivan isn't quite perfect (the nose is a bit too delicate aha) I'd loved the sculpt for a while and still think he's a good fit~ (the head doesn't look quite so big in person either aha) Hopefully I'll get time to make him a wig and some clothes soon

My Carter also happens to be a modern day Cole as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how you do yours up. Mine still doesn't have the right look I want for him, but I just love him too much in this jacket.

Oh my gosh how funny~! I've got a somewhat vague idea of how I want him, but am definitely going to make him a collection of hats haha. Aww, that jacket definitely suits him~! Did you make it?

 

No, I got it from a shop on Etsy that seems to be closed right now. I wanted to get really playful with my version of Cole since he's really innocent in the game. He's going to have lots of mix-matched stuff because what do spirits know about fashion?

Are you going to be making your Cole his hats, buying, or both? Are you going to do at least one that looks like his funky in game hat?

I'm going to attempt making most of them~ I can crochet, so I was going to make a beanie with a big pom pom, and I really want him to have a big floppy sunhat. Not sure whether to crochet it or use that braid type stuff yet. And I'd love to try and make his whole Skyhold outfit (probably not any armour, but we'll see) so I can swap between canon and modern~

Weird question, I've been on hiatus for a while. I have a DZ girl plus a boy head from waaaaay back when DZ only had the single jointed body. Does anyone know if these are compatible with the new bodies? They aren't shown on the site at all anymore, and I know the site says the new bodies are compatible with new heads, but doesn't make any mentions or references to their old ones.
