I really love the little event dragon that just came out with this event. I'm tempted to order my Carter (open eyes) now so I can get it. Maybe I can put one on layaway next week.

 

Is the dragon only available as an event gift or can you buy him separately? He is so precious. I want him!

That is sad indeed. I really am not interested in anything else they have right now and I just purchased a big order from them. Darn. That's a shame. I feel like they could sell a lot of those dragons by themselves. They are so cute.

 

One of DZ dealers on taobao had listened the dragon separated, they usually allow you to order the event dolls separated as well, it just don't seen to be open for sale yet. @LuckyXIII

That is good to know. I don't have $400 right now just to get the dragon, especially when I'm going to be getting a different doll (well the head) and that one's limited time. I'll keep an eye out.

I think 750$ for a nude gift doll is a high price...
also 400$ just for the dragon has gone up about 100$ compared to early events from some years ago.
little sad to hear....although i like the fairies...i just wished one was male ~_~

@Jigarkhvar I'm thinking in asking them if they can sand the breast off of the faeries, I also wanted a male one, if not I will sand them myself. I really need one those little cuties.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed the big change with the events, also before was easier to get the event dolls on its own. Now is like a hunt.

and i dunno if i want to spend 250$ on a nude 20cm doll. I mean that's a lot of money fur such a small thing. If i remember correctly DZ msds are abour 260$ regular.....that's just 10$ more than that little thing Oo

 

@Jigarkhvar yes, for such a size difference the price is too similar. But the dealer on taobao has a much better price. When a new doll is released give a look on taobao on the same or next day, some official dealers will already have the dolls up

 

yep taobao is nice for all kinds of stuff. sure you should look at official dealers so you are sure it's the real thing, but the prices are much better on the asian market..
I also like to get accessiory and shoes over taobao!

Man, I quit my job at the worst time.
Haha, I need to hurry and get a new one so I can order the Benjamin I want so I can get the event egg.
This is the first time I've ever seen an event doll that I just new I had to have.
I'm conflicted about the Benjamin though. I would have ordered him ages ago, but I can't decide on a resin color!
I'm torn between the tan and grey.
I wish they were doing the green that Doll Chateau is doing. That would solve all my problems.
His character will be a grumpy half-goblin that loves the fairy kei style. I want to do lots of pastels and glitter for him.
I just think it'd be so comical with that grumpy face.

 

This is my Gill from in stock at Angelesque. I bought her wig way before her having no idea she would be with me one day! She was blank so i did my best. I'm always afraid to correct every little thing incase i mess up. Does anyone else leave little things undone like that? She needs some natural looking eyelashes and she is finished. Well and shoes, clothes...things

I feel a bit sorry for her seeing as it's the hottest time of the year right now. It's a 9nine nordic knit msd. I got it when i only had Two dolls and it was way to big. Now i have Five who fit it! Where did they all come from!

 

So I'm kinda new here but I was wondering if any Feilian-3 owners would be willing to share their babies with me? I knee-jerked and ordered the last in stock Feilian-3 MOC had as she was a last chance and her face when I saw it just seemed too unique too pass up. She's on layaway for right now but I'm hoping to pay her off next paycheck to get her home as soon as possible. That's the danger of looking at BJDs between paydays I suppose!

She'll really be my first doll and I'm sooo excited.

Some Egami for this morning. I haven't been super active lately, but I have spent some time with my girl, making some clothes and figuring out her tattoos. It will be awhile before I can get to them because of some large aesthetic work im doing, but i can't wait to get back to her!

It's gold leafing! My friend is the faceup artist and started that route, and i continued it on her hands and feet, like shes been gold dipped. Thank you!

Well I have been working on name ideas, for the new DollZone MooN coming my way, and started pondering the ideas of using The Endless characters from Neil Gaiman Sandman series, I think she could be my despair???

 

I just ordered my Carter! It's the open eyed version but I also got the winking head. Fullset. I also got him a pair of the DC jointed hands that I hope will work for him. Does anyone have those hands on their DC boy? and Carter spam please (either!)

A concert I had bought tickets for just got canceled and I think the refund from that will help me be able to order my Benjamin during the event!
I'm really excited. I've wanted a Benjamin since they first released him.
Although, I'm glad I waited. I'm going to get him in the tan.
I don't think there are any Benjamin's in the tan so I'm excited to see how he'll look.

 

So, I ordered my Benjamin today!
I got him in the tan skin with a faceup.
Can someone who has a Benjamin tell me what size eyes they use? I couldn't find that info on DZ's website.
Also, if someone could tell me what size wig he wears, that'd be great. Based on the measurements, I can't tell if it'd be a 6-7 wig or a 7-8 wig.
I'd like to start shopping around for him.

@rocketshipwalker Congratulations on ordering your Benjamin! I have one in ws who is getting a DC body. I use 14mm eyes in mine and he has a 6/7 fur wig. The eyes I use are resin low dome with a smaller iris from Safrin Doll.

I have a while, but it's always fun to shop around for the perfect wig and eyes during the long wait.
I'm glad I did wait to get him. If I ordered him earlier, I might have missed out on the tan!
I'm really excited to see what he'll look like in tan. I think I've only seen the Benjamin in the white resin.

 

@rocketshipwalker I have seen one in normal pink and sort of regretted getting mine in white, lol. Only a little though. I think a tan Benjamin will be fabulous! I'm looking forward to seeing yours. I think grey would be nice too. I do hope your wait goes by fast. My Benjamin's body won't be done till this fall, so all totaled I've waited a good year to get him the way I want. It will be worth it!

Before they announced the tan, I probably would have gotten him in the white. White resin is so pretty.
Tan seems like it'll fit more for his character though.
I plan on having him wear lots of pastels and I love the way pastels look on tan resin.
I was originally going to order him blank, but I wanted the event egg doll, so I ordered him with a faceup to bump up my order total so I could be eligible.
I'm very curious if they'll change anything about the default faceup since it'll be on darker resin.

 

Speaking of Benjamin, I think I might make him my first ever doll. ; u; I just love his features and the fact that he's kind of "age-neutral." But I'm so conflicted about which resin color to choose!

 

With the announcement of the new August event dolls, I'm also considering purchasing a Benjamin. He reminds me of an RPG character I have, and I like the grey skin that Dollzone is offering now. ^_^

It seems like putting the Benjamin head on a Doll Chateau body is a popular option, and I really love the wings on Doll Chateau Matthew, so I was considering planning for a hybrid, too. But as far as I'm aware, Dollzone doesn't currently sell Benjamin heads by themselves. So...to those who've made a Benjamin hybrid, what are you doing with the body that Benjamin originally came with? XD

I guess I'd just end up buying a head separately and making another complete doll out of it? I really don't know but would love to hear what others have done! ^_^

 

It was a hard choice for me too!
I'm really excited about the tan though. I can't wait to see it in person.
It would have been cool if they had released that same green color that Doll Chateau released. I probably would have gotten him in green if that was an option.
I was mostly debating between the grey and the tan though.
I'm wanting him to wear lots of pastels, so I thought the tan would compliment those colors more than the grey.

Ooh, I see! Yeah, for pastels, I think tan is going to look amazing. I like hearing that people have plans for him that contradict the very 'Edward Scissor Hands' vibe of his default face-up (though of course, the default and limited versions of his face are super cute too!) I can't wait to see him when you have him all assembled and styled!

I was thinking about a face-up that includes metallic gold details, so that would probably show up best against a white or gray base... I'm not entirely decided on it yet, though. D:

Also, sorry to double post, but can someone tell me what color resin the B45-014 body is being displayed with on their main website here? I can't tell if it is white with just very good body-blushing or if it's maybe the pink.
