So much adorable spam! I agree with BeePrince, they're definitely only discontinuing unpopular items, just like DC did. As unfortunate as it is, such is business. I'm always excited to see what they do next, their creativity has gone through the roof recently.

 

I don't get it. I'm looking at their site and their heads that are being discontinued are still the same price as ones that aren't? I was thinking of getting a Dorothy head before they discontinue her. Am I missing something?

 

hehe Airi is such a cutie, I think she's not as popular more because of DZs company photos more then anything, they need to learn how to take better pictures to show off the mold.

 

Rinoa dollzone expect you to go through a dealer as it's much cheaper for you that way! They charge astronomical postage, and then there's customs too - I've ordered my Lola head from Alices Collections, which is also in China so I may get customs, who knows - There are other dealers I've tried too, but Alices is so far my favourite for customer service

If you want to buy direct from dollzone though, just email them and ask for a price - they'll send you an invoice.

 

I would also recommend Jeeryama on ebay! Perfect customer service and totally flexible layaway if you ever need it~ ^-^

Alice's Collection may give you free shipping though, as they have free shipping for orders over $35 and less than 1kg, or something uvu

 

Oh thanks. So they don't change their price on their main site, just for their dealers? Gotcha! I know it's better to go through a dealer, just didn't understand the prices being the same on their main site. Thanks!

I had a lovely email from them this morning though, because I forgot to ask for faceup A or B when I checked out, in the comments box, so I emailed them about it last night - They are really nice and helpful to deal with

Shailara I got the free shipping for my Lola head - I was unsure about it but then I thought how long I will have already waited for it - another couple of weeks won't matter!

Meanwhile I have been thrashing my new (not so good) camera all afternoon - trying to get the best out of it! Set it to 'pets' and 'VGA' with flash OFF in the end, so this is as good as it gets (had to tweak the light/dark/contrast/colour balance too) The lovely Flora was happy to model for me

@quidam that wig is gorgeous on her! it really gives the impression of motion, while not being a crazy mess like sid's hair is all the time.

 

She's lovely quidam Aimi and Luke were the 2 others I wanted *sigh* I shall have to admire them from afar now...... I'm trying to figure out what style to dress my Lola in meanwhile, her being an unplanned impulse-buy and all Got plenty of time to decide LOL

I think that shot looks good, elve! She's so pretty! My camera is like 6-7 years old, so getting a half-decent shot out of it is hard work, I feel you. xD

I'm really glad we ordered our Luke when we did! Otherwise we might not have the money to get him now. You all can expect plenty of spam when he arrives. I'm sure you were all tired of looking at my Megi anyway (although I never am ).

I had been kind of wanting Luke, since he seems to be Aimi's brother or twin or something like that. It would have been neat to have them both, but I wasn't so set on him that it was a problem. If I had lots of extra money just lying about I might have sprung for him.

I kind of miss that wig. It was some sort of synthetic human hair stuff that MOC sent as a free gift with an order one time. I ended up giving it to a friend when he got his first doll.

 

Not a discontinued sculpt, but I hope you don't mind me sharing some Freddy-2 spam! I'm getting super worried his clothes and wigs got lost in the mail, really hope they'll show up soon.

 

that faceup is fantastic Athenril - Although I don't collect scary dolls, he's wonderful! That pink just makes the black 'pop' As for parcels, if they're from overseas then there is a delay at the moment with all the May holidays Worldwide - My last parcel took nearly 3 weeks to be delivered AFTER reaching the UK! The journey from China was quicker!

ETA - just been on ebay and this announcment in their newsfeed caught my eye - posted 14th May!

 

Ohhh, thank you for the information, elve! I had no idea. That gives me some peace of mind! I ordered from China and the tracking number really gives zero information so I was getting nervous. ^^

 

The combination of pink and black looks great on your Freddy!
I have those eyes, but no one is currently using them. Someone needs to claim them again, because I like them a lot.

elve- I like your Flora every time I see her. She's much prettier than her company photos.

 

thank you quidam That is the dollzone default faceup on her, but I changed out the eyes for some smaller, 2-tone ones, which made ALL the difference to her look! I am such a fan of eyes and wigs these days, for an almost instant, very cheap way to get in effect a 'new doll' - At least that's how she seemed after I'd done her eyes and tried that wig on her! She's now claimed the wig back from the dragons again - it really is THE ONE for her I think I've just bought the last one in stock from fatiao on ebay (for the dragons) it's a YOSD size wig with a lot of stretch in it! Wig size seems to be a bit hit and miss in general though, regarding size

thank you Athenril There is a better pic of her on my flickr - She is awaiting clothes from Alices Collections at the moment, so it's lucky Angel of Dream send their dolls in underwear already! She was very cute on the small dollzone 1/6 body, but her big ears made her head unstable on that tiny neck - so her ears fell off and it was difficult to pose her. She has no up/down movement on this big 1/4 neck, but side to side is fine, and her head is so secure, I was shaking her around upside down, trying to get those knickers on - and her ears stayed put!

 

Saylor- I love his hair! None of mine ever want to wear wigs like that, but I wish they would!

Sid got a hoodie today- it was actually meant to be for olivia, but it was a lot bigger than I thought it'd be. Still, livvie did get her new backpack and boots, so she can't be too mad. Also pictured is the work-in-progress couch; I need to finish it, but I need something to stuff cushions with first.

@quidam I love it too, it's just really wild and fluffy! It gets everywhere any time I even pick him up.

Loving the Aimi and Luke spam quidam and Kyle There is still time for me to order them..... Kyle your Luke is rather beautiful - I hadn't thought of it before but he would make a lovely girl too! I've just been looking at my Jake and thinking hmmmm - you would look good in a dress!

I'm waiting on a new wig I ordered for her. Hopefully it will be here today or tomorrow. My poor Mo, I almost got him a new one too, but decided against it. He never gets as much as the girls do...

I love looking at your Jake. He's another one I tossed around as wanting to get. He's won out as my mom's favorite sculpt.

Thanks for digging out that photo quidam - it's so clear and detailed, I am finding her very hard to resist now I usually pay the extra for that as I am no faceup artist oh well - I have till the end of June....And as for the 'no more midis' rule - pfffft! *tears up rulebook*

 

So I should have believed Jake yesterday, when he said 'it's not what it looks like!!!' (him and Kitty) Because it seems it was NOT what it looked like! He was discussing the fine art of hair maintenance with her apparently And says he wants to be called Jackie in future, not Jakey!!! He has commandeered this wig, in pursuit of his new identity....

Im giggling so badly. I took Gabriel to the art store today to get his face up supplies. The employees all were looking at me awkwardly when i was posing him next to things to see how well in scale it goes with him lol. XD My phone died so I didnt get any pictures. There were some nice things. A bike, a garden bench thats small enough, and an art easel. I almost got the easel XD

Sylar is mad at me for not taking him on an adventure. I had to tell him that he will get his chance soon.

 

*suffers from cuteness overload* I love all your girly-boys! My poor Jake (He has decided he prefers being called Jane to Jackie, actually....and I guess I need to start calling him, 'her' and use 'she' now!) is still sat starkers - As I am not a collector of midis I have NO midi sized clothes at all in the box - except Freddy and Pandora's gothic outfits, which are definitely not J....ane's style! So far haven't seen anything s/he wants to wear either Interestingly although I just casually plonked h...er (this is taking some getting used to!) down next to Kitty yesterday, on closer inspection I see this So I reckon something IS going on between these 2 after all!

 

Jay would KILL me if I put him in a dress, but here's my already a bit girly boy Reino in Airi's dress. He's also on Airi's body cause this was back when he was bodyless so it's almost like he really is in drag cause he has boobs. His blue wig looked strange with the pink dress so I stuck his natural hair color wig on him. I had a dream that I bought him a black fur wig last night which he so wouldn't wear LOL. I have been meaning to buy him more wigs cause his character dyes his hair frequently and it's always a different color, but alas, DZ KEEPS PUTTING DOLLS I WANT ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK! So working on my current dolls gets pushed back. He needs a new face-up too, but I have 3 with no face-up and 2 more on the way. Someday I'll finish my dolls

 

I think Aria looks pretty cute. I was going to be lazy and not contribute, but I'm inspired by Aria now. Plum says she has a couple of dresses that would look great on Curry and Lock. XD

I don't even know how old this picture is. My best guess would be within the first year I owned Airi based on her wig/faceup and clothing.

 

Poor Lock, he was not amused. Curry was indifferent. Excuse crappy cell phone picture. I only got one before my battery died, and I just went with it and cranked the brightness up. Oof, I need to get out of my depression rut.

There was a second request: to see photospam from all the to be discontinues sculpts to make it easier to decide if one wants to buy them. So if you have either???

 

Oh, I have some old Demi spam, along with my sister's Jake and Plum. I do miss Lavender, she was so adorable, but her head was SO BIG compared to everyone else's. And I wanted her in tan, but that is right out now, isn't it?
