    9. Yes and no...he's got a couple odd scratches that came from goodness knows where, they're hidden easily buy clothing and his wig...except for one spot on his cheek. I have no idea where that came from and I tried to fix it, but I risk ruining his face up. :pout: I think he may have yellowed a little too, not that I mind as it's very even...but you can definitely see the difference between his wrists and new hands. Ah well...I still love him to bits. :aheartbea

      If your Latte is the only one left, does that mean Jeremy and Eudora are gone? :o

    10. And Clovera! ^_^ Well technically they're not yet gone, but they are on their way out! I just don't feel it with many of my dolls - and I don't want to keep them unless I love them, or at least find them interesting to style and dress. I do still have Eudora's head, with the elf ears attached - I sold her 62cm body with the blank Una head I bought at the same time as her - why I was so crazy on that face I don't know :? I think I might put Eudora with wing ears on Clovera's body again, since it will save me money - Ideally she'd have an AoD body but I don't have any money unless I sell Clovera - and really it would make more sense to just swap their heads LOL - I can't say I LIKE Eudora (my Una) in fact her miserable mug gets on my nerves - but her elf ears look nice and so she's intriguing me as far as dressing goes - I will persevere a while longer with her ^_^

      Jeremy my orange boy - well he's in a box - Since I got my AoD Kim :aheartbea Jeremy has fallen from favour - I am just SO fickle ^_^ No chance of a head swap for him - not in that colour!

    12. I'm also poking in this thread again after a long hiatus and it seems at just the right time! I come bearing Clovera spam to maybe make elve reconsider letting go of this lovely girl:

      My Clovera also was pretty neglected for some months but one day I suddenly remembered I had this DZ outfit which was made for her body :sweat so I put it on her, put in newly arrived Candykitten eyes and voilà: She is now a magical girl, although involuntarily. The faceup I gave her months before also magically suited her whole look so it had to be destiny! I plan on giving her a little mascot doll, maybe my Circus Kane Aleah or my new plasticmoon Mr.Kitty. I hope you like her and please don't abandon sad little Clovera. :aheartbea

      I kind of wish that DollZone hadn't gotten rid of all there old 1/3 girls. Clovera and the others had such interesting faces.

    15. It seems to me that DZ is starting to edge to the more extreme look of their sister company DC, which is a shame in my opinion. I like the old style of DZ better than their new direction and while I understand that a company needs to grow and experiment with new things, the new style isn't to my taste.

    18. Are there any Dollzone Celine owners? I actually own two of the discontinued heads, but they are currently boxed up and I can't get to them. I hoping someone has the head and neck measurements. I thought I remember them as 21cm for the head and 9cm for the neck, but I'd love some confirmation or even just a second opinion.

I am glad that I could make you reconsider your choice again, elve. :) And I agree Iron_Dog, I don't really like the direction DZ is going at the moment, it is too much like DC. I really loved the old DZ sculpting style, especially the faces. I haven't liked any new DZ sculpts for years now, there don't need to be two companies with the same sculpting style...:sweat And I'm not hating on DC, I have a DC Pierre myself, I'd just really like to see something different from DZ. Oh and it's a real shame they discontinued the old 58cm girl body (Clovera etc), it is sooo beautiful and poses so nice!

    22. yeah, all the sculpts I really like from DZ are their older ones (Mo, Wing, Yuu, etc.). I can't speak for the girls as I don't collect girls at all but I have noticed the style shift. I've also got a hankering for the dragon baby event doll because it's so damn cute. Gotta hand it to DZ for that. They seem to consistently come out with adorable event tinies.

      Zomboid I agree that is such a pretty and lovely body to pose - it looks like some Classical ancient piece of sculpture :aheartbea

      Cloudedmind according to this http://www.dollzone.es/en/prod.php?id=404 Celine was a partner to Floy so is an older sculpt on the older 58cm body like Clovera, Morphoa and all those girls - I'd not seen Celine before! She's veeeery pretty :love The biggest problem you'll have is getting a resin match. Also please NOTE - the measurements on dollzone's site for that body are WRONG - and the measurements on the link above are also different and WRONG - it's approx. 9cm neck and fits well on Angel of Dream bodies - this is my Clovera head on an AoD body - I must say I like those brown eyes in her better than her current ones - she looks sweet and sad, rather than sulky and scornful! No way my son is giving me 'my' AoD Qian back though - although she has about an inch of dust on her, he likes her sitting there holding his catbug plushie - such a waste *sigh*

    26. I have fallen in love with Floy and I really want to order him in the event and get Heavy Rain with him...but I'm still on the fence. Can any Floy owners post pictures or speak of how he is in person to help me decide? :sweat

    28. Thanks elve! Your Clovera does look pretty with brown eyes - and I agree with DollZone seeming to put in just the right eye colour for their dolls - I love Azrael's pinky-gold eyes and my Valeriana's honey gold eyes (DZ Moon).

    36. I'm getting back into the hobby and have fallen at bit for DZ Herman but can find next to no information about him other than the new doll announcement in 2012. He's not even on the DZ website but I have seen him available on mintoncard and jeeryama has one on ebay. Did I miss something big about this doll while I was out of the hobby?

      So confused, I hope someone can help, thanks in advance :)

    40. I caved....and I bought him a few hours ago from Alice Collections. I qualified for free shipping from them by buying accessories and I'm pumped about HeavyRain. I'm not in love with the free head but I'm curious to see it in person.

      I'm going to paint him myself so I'm not worried about the Herman face-up although I may use it for inspiration when I paint mine. Now I have to learn patience and to think about names. This will be my first true SD boy, the other big boy I owned was a dollshe, so I'm pretty excited. He'll be coming with clothes, a green short wig, and some neat blue eyes that have flecks of silver in them.

      I'm hoping the wait goes by fast so I can start spamming him here. In the meantime I'm going to try and re-home some dolls and to give some love to my first boy.

    42. queen_margaret_anne - Well DZ's wait time is apparently back down to three months so that's always nice! I'm thinking that later this year I might order another Raymond head and Big Dipper. I thought about trying to get the latter via the current event but I just don't have the money even though I could definitely reach the limit for him/her.

    43. Congratulations on your order queen_margaret_anne! :dance I hope dollzone have indeed speeded up their processing now, as rumoured, so you don't have too many months to wait! You will NOT get the blank head AND Big Dipper though - you will just receive Heavy Rain (the tiny one) unless you spent $600 on dollzone products alone (including his dollzone default outfit but not including clothes/accessories bought seperately from Alices) or unless you bought Heavy Rain as a seperate doll rather than a freebie?

      The blank head is for people who buy a smaller, cheaper doll - it's a midi sized head and if you bought a midi sized doll you would qualify for it as a freebie, so it makes sense if you look at it like that.

      ETA - looking at Alices now, you have to add the correct freebie from a seperate order page, to your basket when you checkout. So unless you did this you won't get a freebie. If you missed this bit, I would contact Alices immediately and explain that you forgot, and you do want the free gift - they won't have sent off your order to dollzone yet hopefully, so will be able to add it for you.

      Diraess, I love Floy too but I'm not sure if I would ever get him, Maybe another dolly spending spree will take me in the winter and I'll bring him home in tan!

      OOoooOOooohh on the wait time, that's exciting. I should knit or crochet something for his homecoming. Thanks Quiet and Insane and elve for the heads up. I went to work yesterday and told my girls about them (I work in an assisted living home) and they were all sad that they wouldn't get to meet him soon :XD: They'll be excited to hear that they will get to see him. I may even do my box opening there. I've worked there since 2009 so I'm close with my clients.

      Tee hee I found out about the head. Felt super silly but I've been moving so my brain is frazzled. It was actually a relief because I didn't know what to do with it. Now I can just focus on Byron and my plans for him. I'm hoping to bond with this boy like I have with my first Lucan (dollmore aidan), so I have to start thinking about personality, name, and styling. I don't write any stories that my dolls star in but I like to flesh them out a bit in my head.

      I bought a DZ 1/3 girl a couple months ago. She was listed as a Clare, but her sculpt is definitely not the same as Clare's. I've been attempting to research which sculpt she is, but can't seem to find her. If any of you know which sculpt she is and could let me know, I would really appreciate it!

    51. galatia9, I love your couple, especially the knit sweater. Dolls in knitwear make me happy.

      I went and looked over all the things I ordered and got super excited again! Bringing home my first true SD sized boy has been something I've wanted to do for a long time but other dolls got in the way. I'm loving the hands of the 60cm body, the look so graceful and the rotating thigh joint is my favorite addition since I looked at DZ boys years ago. I need to get to naming him. I'm thinking of going through some HP Lovecraft short stories for ideas, I've been into him a lot recently. Dolly excitement after a few years feels really good, I bet it will get my art going again. I graduated college in December and have been feeling bleh about creating anything but having another creative outlet to muse over will probably help. In the past my dolls have always helped with my creativity.

    52. ahhhh it is fun being an 'expectant dolly mum' queen_margaret_anne - I put a stock photo of the doll on my desktop wallpaper - just to remind me I have something to look forward to! I think I enjoy the wait time and all that daydreaming and planning just as much as owning the doll - although admittedly dollzone tried my patience with a 7 month wait last year - hope the rumours are true about them bucking up their ideas now! They are such good dolls though, with such unique character - worth waiting for really ^_^
