I remember when this doll was first released, was absolutely gobsmacked by it! People excitedly talking of it and those who was eager to place an order, and all the gorgeous pictures and paintjobs, and, oh my, was it something! As my quest wasn't for fantasy dolls and creatures back in the early years of my collecting ad- ventures I passed, and went on my adventures. Never quite could let the nagging feeling of having passed on something quite spetacular, something I would come to pine for some years later as a new quest popped up to aquire - you guessed it - all the of fantasy dolls and creatures. Neither Anson nor Moment were to be found on the market, all that was left was old sales threads and resin dust. But lo and be- hold, had it not been for a dear friend of mine letting me know of their re-release back in the summer of yesteryear I would have gone on in my search for these elu- sive flower fairies. Still a bit sad that I couldn't afford Moment as well, I just hope to one day come across one for sale when I've got a bit more gold in my pocket to spend. Had buckled down for the long haul, so imagine my surprise when I received a shipping notification a mere 4 months later! A mere 4 months when I had prepared for 5 if not 6 months of patiently waiting. This was, this is such a special doll that I'd rather wait a little longer than have them hurry things along. Enough of me rambling, pictures! I'm all, it really doesn't feel real, that I have one of these beauties after a decade of wanting one - or, at least the latter part of the decade I truly really wanted one - I have it here for all my viewing pleasure. I have no clue as to how I intend to paint it, and part of me wants it to be blank for a while longer to appreciate this piece of art before my eyes. In any case I'm in no hurry to coat it up with pastels and paints and that's all fine by me. Hope you enjoyed! Ta!
I also got my Anson this week. In peach skin as well. She's beautiful. I was shocked at how big her box was. Mine will have to stay blank for a while as well, I'm planning to airbrush her when the weather's better. I expected a longer wait time and hadn't planned anything yet at all.
She's gorgeous, and there's nothing wrong with appreciating her as she is for a while! Hope you'll eventually share what you decide to do with her, though. ^_^ Congrats!
Awh, that's such a great chance you were given from your friend! I hope you'll be able to get your Moment in the future as well. Absolutely amazing collages and photography overall! Love all the angles and clarity. Really showcases your Anson nicely. If you decide on painting them/using pastels on them in the future, I hope you'll share your end result!
Absolutely gorgeous! And congratulations on getting this beautiful doll that you've wanted for so long! I love it when people get their dream dolls, it gives me the warm fuzzies.
The boix almost had one think they'd shipped two dolls xD Maybe some time during spring I'll get around to painting mine, but not even sure, I'll see. She truly is, and thanks! Thank you! I really do hope to one day come across Moment, or have enough money to offer up front for someone to want to sell theirs to me. Maybe someone out there have one laying around in a box, never really having done anything with it. Definitely will share pictures once I get around to painting the beauty, once I figure out how to go about it that is. Thank you, absolutely is, like if you ever see one irl you'll get blown away. Thank you so much, I'm glad that you're glad :3 Thank you so much!
There is something so special about these two that I can't quite describe -- the beauty of their sculpting really glows with your photos! Contrast is key with admiring them
Very special indeed, and they're pretty unique as there aren't any other fantasy themed dolls like them out there (not that I know of anyway). Absolutely love playing around with shadows for this doll, how can you not? It's a must doing it.
