Yay, its so awesome that these dolls are getting ready ahead of the predicted schedule (seems like such a rare occurrence with anything BJD related for a wait to be shorter than expected!) I also just got the email from Dollstown saying my 18 girl body is ready to go, so I paid her off

I can't wait for her to get here - seems like her head has been waiting for ages. I did get to see heavenlyriot's DT 18 boy at a meetup recently, and wow they are HUGE! I'm kind of thrilled to see how big the girls are

I can't wait to see your Saiph on this body, Candygears. The body is just beautiful, and Saiph is just stunning.
I got my girl body yesterday! I agree, I've never had a doll ship so fast! She even came with eye putty (maybe?) and wig stop. She had an s-hook at the neck, and was super easy to plop my head on there.

 

I am not waiting so much as dreaming. I saw the 18 yr girl body & thought, Oh no not for me. But then I saw flicker pics esp by crimsonbrush & I was hooked. Now I just need to raise the funds so I can place my order. Always liked the boys, but this girl has something & I love it!

 

I had been photo-stalking this girl for awhile, so I was glad to share ^-^ Good luck, I hope you get your girl!

I'm pretty excited for my Saiph, she's been my grail doll for ages, and I've been hoarding her head for a while since there weren't any great body options out there so far. I really hope it works out with the 18body

Things got super quiet in here all of a sudden! But I got my shipping notice from DT today, and it looks like my girl got accepted by the post office in Korea already. I'm in the middle of moving, so I hope she gets here once I'm all done (she can be my reward for all this heavy lifting, whew!)

Omg is really all I can say - this body is absolutely stunning! I had seen and handled an 18 boy at a local meet, so I was preparing myself for her being a giant. But she's actually a lot more manageable than I was expecting (or maybe I'm just ruined by my gangly mecha angel boy, he he).

The lines and details of the body are so beautiful. Her hands, even blank, look so alive it's crazy. And size wise, she's a *perfect* match for Saiph! The color is off, but my head is older and a bit yellowed (still pinker than the orientalskin) so I'm sure I can make it work.

Sadly I can't post pictures until Internet is installed in my new apartment next week. But I'm so glad she's finally all in one piece, and can't wait until I get some free time to paint her (I've been pining after Saiph for over 3years)

Grats, candygears! Those hands, right?? They're just so expressive, actually, the whole body is very expressive. It's great that the head will work out so well, it will be good to see Saiph on a body that does her justice ^-^

 

I am so excited to join the waiting room! I just got my shipping notice for my very first DT order! I am getting the IO-Elf head!! Now to start saving for her body!!!!!!!!

 

Ok, I've just sent in that last payment, and posted a message on the order board to let Dollstown know I've done it.

I'm ahead of schedule, as my layaway was supposed to be done Sept 7, 2012. What a relief!

Here's hoping that the DT15 boy body is indeed all ready to go (it was waiting for me to complete payments). If so, I may have it in my hands within a week!

Aug 20, 2012 evening update: Dollstown confirmed receipt of the last payment. They said they'd ship out my dollie within a week.

Anyone know whether they mean that it'll take them a week to put it in the mail, or it'll arrive at my address within a week? I know that it's supposed to already be made, and all...

 

Waaaay overdue, but I finally had a chance to take some pics of my DT 18/Saiph hybrid girl! I'm so in love with this combination - its the body I have always dreamed of for Saiph. It makes her tall and slender without being such an amazon. So here she is!



Hope everyone that's waiting gets their dollies fast! miffimifster, that means they will pack it and ship it within the next week, and then it will take however long EMS takes to get to you. Even though the doll is made, they need to look over your specific doll and make sure nothing is wrong before they send it out.

 

So lovely! I definitely prefer her on this body. I'm not a fan of the SG bodies - girl or boy.

I GOT MY SHIPPING NOTICE THIS MORNING! My DT15 boy body is on its way home! Yay!

 

The box arrived about 15 minutes ago. However, the Canadapost.ca website stopped updating early this morning. It just doesn't show any info at all at this point. This may be due to the fact that the barcode on the box was blotted out by a permanent marker. The parcel therefore could not be scanned any more.

Anyway, I'm going to open the box now. Was gonna try a box-opening video, but don't have the tripod at home...

The head attached to the body is a Dollgru #11 (from June 2011 order). The head beside it is an OLD DIM Persia (2005 cast).

I just got my girl yesterday. Won her body on ebay & the head I bought directly from Dollstown. They both arrived same day, head by mail & body by UPS.


She is an Amy head on a 18 yr girl body. Both Fresh skin.

 

I was wondering, of the latest arrivels when people ordered? I'm not an impatient person but I ordered half may and was just wondering how long the waiting time is.

 

Just ordered Elysia and a 13 girl body. The head is in stock, but the body is in production, with a 1 to 2 month waiting period. Not sure how I am going to handle the waiting period! Looks like my Halloween present from my sweetheart will, in fact, be a Christmas present

Does anyone know if Dollstown will send the head ahead of the body? Or do they wait to send both together once production of the bodies is complete? Sorry if this question has been asked already. I didn't have time to read all of the posts in this wating room!

I just ordered a 18 old girl body with a Susie and a IO elf heads all in Pale skin ^-^, I should be able to pay off the layaway until the end of january!

Elysia is absolutely beautiful. My first thought was that her skin felt more 'toothy' than any other BJD I've ever owned. Her hands and feet are adorable, and her down-turned mouth is so sweet! I never say this, but I wish the rain would stop so I could begin working on her faceup!

 

5 days! That's how long it's taken dollstown to ship my body. Hopefully I'll see it early next week.

I just ordered an 18-year Estella with 2 additional heads to make extra characters with: Rian and Soi. This will be my first non-Iplehouse SD size doll. I got an email from Dollstown this morning giving me an estimate of shipping in 1 week, as everything was in stock. I have my fingers crossed that she's here in time for me to do some faceups over xmas vacation.

UPDATE: Dollstown shipped my order 12/13/2013 (Korea time) and delivery was attempted Saturday 12/14/2013 to my office (closed, notice left) and she was redelivered 12/16/2013. Very fast service and the doll is lovely!

I ordered a pale skin Soyu head with pierced ears, paid in full. Can't wait!! The website said she's in stock, I wonder if that's really true..

 

I'm guessing it should be… My boy (Yujin & 15yr body) was also "in-stock" and I just got my shipping notice - which means he was shipped out in about 10 business days.

 

The Soyu head I ordered was shipped on the 24th . She's already in my country ^^

Which is pretty good timing compared to a lot of other companies especially for a darker resin.
