Dollstown Waiting Room ~2~

OMG!!!....I just found out my 15yrs body is shipped for my Estella!!.....I'm so happy!....this feels like a dream

 

Oh congrats to you Lirin I still can't believe it.....I went back on to DTs website to double check and Parcel Force also confirms it,Lol

 

I asked again on the boards (didn't want to, but I don't mind waiting as long as I'm kept informed) and this is the response that I got:

Hi, I'm so sorry for late shipping.
I received few bodies(7yrs Boy and 15yrs Girl bodies) at last week.
But your body is not included in it(few 15yrs Girl, and 7yrs Boy body is not still included).

I think that your body had reproduced already, and the work will need for completion more during 1~2 weeks.
So I demanded to Dollshe that your body be sent to me in two weeks at the latest. I extracted a promise from him, and I will try to keep his promise.
So please wait more. I will reply again when your body is ready to ship. Thank you for your patience.

 

I hope everyone waiting for their orders doesn't have to wait much longer....I'll just have my Seola 7yr old to come now, then I'm having a break from DT for a while till they catch up.

 

Carmen: I got the exact same notice posted on my order. I guess we're twiddling our thumbs for a couple more weeks. Oh well.

 

Well, I'd rather hear what is causing the delays than just see shipping notices trickle out slowly with no explanation. I've got 3 Doll Leaves dolls arriving next week so I'm not in any hurry for my Dollstown body. I think it's probably putting a lot of pressure on Dollshe to have to get them out as well, which I feel sorry for in a way. I'm glad I don't have any Dollshe orders left, mainly because I had a massive waiting year last year with customhouse and didn't feel like signing up for another one with Dollshe. I assumed they would be able to ship fairly quickly when I ordered, but after a while, that wasn't going to be the case so I decided to be happy with my old style body pair instead. I'd like to see the 18 bodies released, but as I've decided I may want a 15 body, it will be handy that they're delayed. I get a chance to see my 15 girl body and decide whether I want a male to match or will wait for the 18 body.

 

It's gonna be Monday when my 15yrs body arrives for Estella....that's the expected delivery date on the Parcel Force website...and they don't deliver on Saturdays unless you pay an extra £12 ....but I can wait

No news on mine yet. I just asked if they had any idea when the dollstown 15 female bodies would be shipping. Hopefully it won't be long. I'd like my Bandi to finally be a complete doll.

 

I got a response and they've shipped my body. I can't wait to see my Bandi completed.

I love EMS from Korea - I just checked to see if she'd left Korea, she's already in Brisbane and has cleared customs. She should be delivered tomorrow. 2 days!!! I don't think I've ever had a doll delivered quicker. Bandi will finally have her body. I hope Carmen has received a shipping notice as well.

 

OK, I am a little confused here. Normally when I ordered from DT if it was green I paid and got my order right away, any other colour I thought we had to wait. People seem to be getting bodies now so are we supposed to order now and pay for it and wait for it to be delivered months later or are we supposed to wait for the green light and then order. An explanation would be most helpful please. I find that place confusing but did finally figure it out but since they have changed it all I am confused again.

 

Is this normal? I never got a shipping notice, but my 7yo Seola boy arrived today o.o I'm really happy, nonetheless!!! If I do a photostory/box opening thing, I'll edit this post =)

You have to keep checking your original order for the shipping notice. They don't email it to you. I received my 15 female body yesterday and I'm thrilled although after 4 years, it seems a bit anti-climatic to finally have her as a full body. She's been a head on all my spare bodies for so long now. Whenever I sent a doll off for a face-up, she got the body. So it's a little strange to know she's got a body permanently now.

Shashy - At present, Dollshe are so far behind, you could wait months for orders to get fulfilled. I'm not sure that they're even willing to take orders. I think Dollstown aren't sure what is going on because of all the backlog with Dollshe.

 

Yay! my Seola 7yrs girl has been shipped today!

 

I ordered my Ganga on 5yo body and Mari on 7yo body, both orientalskin on the 1st of July. And I am waiting still for the tracking number. I asked 3 or 4 times about my order - and just got the answer - Wait a little more. I am very upset!

 

The problem isn't with Dollstown, it's with Dollshe. I'm thinking about ordering a 15 Male body eventually. I'll get it on layaway which will get rid of most of the wait hopefully.

 

Yes, I know, but for me it doesn't matter, which of them is gilty. I want my dolls and I loose my patience with every new day.

 

Gosh it's been awful quiet in this waiting room lately,Lol....well I just started another layaway for a 13 body in Freshskin for my Yeondu....I was being impatient after all the waiting for the 15 body for my Estella and bought an AoD body for Yeondu....I wish I'd have waited till the 1st September and saved myself the bother, haha!

 

Is nobody waiting for Dollstown dolls ??....or is this thread finished?...hmm

I'm trying to decide whether to get a 15 body or 18 body for my Hue. I tend to think that I prefer the 15 body and it would match better with my 15 girl body, but then all my males are 70 cm. Hard decision to make. I think I'll wait and see. It is quiet in here. Dollshe is still backlogged. I'm really grateful that I decided to cancel my second Dollshe order. I'm really happy with the old style bodies and I don't think I'd be enjoying the current wait. I burnt out after Customhouse.

 

I wouldn't want to wait months and months for a doll, it would drive me insane...my 15yr body for Estella was 4 months waiting and if I'd have known I would have bought the 13yr body instead! .....I'm not a very patient person especially when the thing I'm waiting for costs me hundreds of pounds .
I'm currently paying off a layaway for a 13yr body in Freshskin for my Yeondu...I tried her on an AoD body and didn't like it , it just didn't look right to me.

 

Well, the way Dollshe is going, they're not likely to finish shipping out orders until mid next year. I'm guessing the 18 bodies won't be released for a while. I tend to think that I prefer the 15 body aesthetically, but he is going to look like a whimp next to the rest of my 70cm guys.

 

Like we were saying on the Impldoll thread earlier: people come in all shapes and sizes, so why should dolls be any different?...you don't get people all the same height, build and weight...and anyway the 15yr boy isn't that small really when compared to a 70cm boy....I like the 15yr boy too and would buy one if I could, and also I think the 18yr boy would be much harder to find clothing for .

 

The 15 body is no wimp. Have you taken a good look at those thighs? ^__^ Also, if you're not sure, keep in mind that the 15 body will be discontinued at the end of the year so you might as well go for it.

 

I'd better get saving up then before I miss the chance of buying one of these 15yr boys

No reply on what shipping time will be, but I hope to find out soon. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time.. a big girl!
I have Seola on the 7-yr body, and Ganga on the 5-yr, and I can't wait to see them all together.

 

Oh That's great zozolala, Yeondu is one of my favourites, although I was buying a 13yr body for mine, I have changed the order for a Hue 15yrs boy, I'm so excited to be buying a boy for a change
I have Estella 15yrs girl, also I had Daisy 13yrs but gave her to my daughter, I have also had Ganga 5yrs and Seola 7yrs and 13yrs.....I have been shuffling them around alot and will just be happy to have Estella and Hue for now as they are my most favourites

 

Yes, as it is likely to be my one chance to buy it. I'm going to save up for the 15 years body and get it.

 

Thanks, Michelle! Yeondu was the very first DT girl who totally fascinated me, but because she was a 60cm I put her out of my mind - and then I ran into little Seola and that was that
But when I started thinking of getting a big girl again, there was no doubt whatsoever about who it was going to be! I always kept dreaming of Yeondu, and I'm thrilled to finally bring her home.

I've been checking out your websites zozolala ...you are so talented, I wish I could make clothes like those for my dolls, they are so beautiful...your girl's are beautiful too.
I don't know why but every time I get an msd sized doll I just can't bond with them and I thought Seola 7yrs was just the best ever msd when I saw her, but when I finally got her I just didn't want her I think I'm just destined to have SDs.....I'm such an indecisive person too, which doesn't help! Lol
Hobbysue : I just had to get Hue, he's such a beautiful boy, I've been looking at pictures of him on the internet and just couldn't resist him any longer

 

I have been checking here every so often but haven't really talked. September 1, I ordered a 7 body for my Ganga head in the closet and then thought I might as well order another head because shipping would be the same anyways so I ordered a Hannah head. They are in the paleskin. I have 2 Elysias already, 1 on the DT 13 body and one on a Dollzone body which I prefer for posing but like the look of the DT 13 body better. I just hate how the DT 13 will not stand 99% of the time because of those knees. They really need to fix that problem. My DZ stands like a dream. But the DT 7 body is fabulous for look and posing. I have a Momo on one of those. Originally I had thought my Ganga and Momo could share the first 7 body but since Momo head and body were painted by Jay Searle I just can't separate them. So now Ganga is getting her own body and I guess Hannah will be the head in the closet but I really intend on Ganga to share the body. I painted Ganga and she really looks cute. I did it with pastels so it doesn't look amaturish like it would have if I used paint. My two Elysias were painted by Val Zeitler so I tried to make Ganga that look. If I had unlimited money I don't there is any DT doll I wouldn't order. I just love their realistic look.

Treehugger - normally I don't like MSD but I love the DT MSD size. Their heads are bigger so they look more normal. I have two Luts MSD size and really regreat getting them. Their heads are so small they look funny compared to my Momo. The only other MSD I have is the Narin Dandelion but her head is bigger and her body is a little shorter and more stocky. I really love her look and she poses great.

 

I love all the DT sculpts too, but those knees do drive me mad, and you're right Shashy DT does need to fix that issue as it's such a shame these bodies are not very good posers despite being so beautiful I love the 5 and 7 yr bodies but their knees drove me insane, but they have such beautiful expressive little faces . My Estella is on the 15yr body and she is one of my favourite ever dolls but those legs! haha! poor girl cannot pose so well so she just sits in my bedroom looking pretty most of the time, but does get to come downstairs for a bit of attention now and then

I don't have problems with my girls' legs or knees (Seola 7 and Ganga 5, from early 2010), but they are both wired, which helps a lot. I just realized that I haven't even glue-sueded them but it's really not needed. I'm very looking forward to see the 13-yr body in person. I'll make sure to be prepared for misbehaving legs with wire and glue, because she will have to pose a lot.

Shashy: Oh, if it wasn't for the money, I would have a huge DT family My mom was so kind to help me fund Yeondu, but at soon as I paid her back, I will start saving up for Sia on the Elf body. I love how beautifully they go up in size, and for me Yeondu, Sia and Seola resemble each other like sisters perfectly.

 

I agree, Yeondu, Sia and Seola are very alike...also, I think Ganga has a look of Amy,she's like a grown up Ganga, but maybe it's just me?? Lol

 

I finally paid off my layaway for Hue! ....will be great to have a boy in my doll family again

I have to admit to a Dollstown addiction!

Currently waiting on Ganga 5yr, Lucille and Amy 13yr. Ganga should be home in a couple of weeks. Amy and Lucille heads will be shipped this week. Have a body for Lucille. Poor Amy will have to wait!

It's so frustrating having a head without a body, but it's great when you finally do get one, I was so fed up of waiting for a body for my Estella, I waited 4 months for the 15 body to arrive for her and now I'm trading it in for a 13 body! Lol....poor Estella will have another wait

 

I decided to sell Estella and now I've bought Amy on the 13 body in Freshskin, so now I'm waiting for two dolls.....I'm so looking forward to them arriving, and atm I haven't one doll in my house! which feels really weird , Lol

 

I had my Bandi here for so long that when I finally bought a body, it was almost anti-climatic. She'd been a charismatic floating head for so long and at various times, had a body when I send heads off for face-ups. So it seemed like I'd already had her as a doll. Ditto with my Hue. I would like to get him a body though.

 

Last Spring I had ordered an Amy head because I just love her face and was hoping that just possibly she might work on my Elf body. Well, I guess I really knew it wouldn't work and, it didn't. The head's just too large for the delicate shape of the Elf, she looked like a cartoon! My Elf body was as large as I had wanted to go for my dolls, but I just love the Amy sculpt so much, I bit the bullet and ordered a 13 year body two weeks ago. Now the loooong wait!

 

My Lucille and Amy heads arrived. Lucille has a body and Amy is waiting.

I also thought I would only go as large as elf body and now have fallen in love with my 13 yr Lucille. She is larger, however, not huge. I did her face up yesterday and clothing is on the way. I think you will be happy Sortilege.

Sounds as if Amy is popular among us! I can't wait to get the rest of her!!

 

I guess one of the reasons I didn't want to go larger than the Elf body, Skyeyze, is the issue of not having anything for a larger doll to wear. My Arin, who's on the Elf body currently, can wear shoes and sweaters from other non-bjd's that I'd had for years. And the 5yr. and 7yr. bodies have oodles of shoes and clothing, also from other dolls. But I'm looking forward to the "treasure hunt" for goodies for this new size. Amy is a lovely sculpt, as you know.

I ordered my 7 body and Hannah head Sept 1, paid Sept 3 and have just checked on order board and nothing is there abut shipping. At least it isn't a few pages back where all the info is. I hate that order board. Very confusing because what if they put a new notice on page 1 where as my other stuff was page 7. I think it is OK for communication but when it is time to ship they should send an e-mail. I don't really want to look for my info every day on that order board. Actually I am hoping it doesn't ship for awhile now. We leave in a week for Orlando so if it ships now it probably wouldn't arrive in time. Then it is sitting here and who knows what the post office will do.

Shashy, in the past when I've placed an order and the orginal estimate for shipping has come and gone and I haven't heard from DT, I email them in a new page and just ask when they are expecting to ship. Most usually, I've had a response that says it will be going out asap and shortly I receive the tracking information. I think sometimes they just get behind on their shipping and a little prompt helps. And it is confusing to keep checking back at your old post, as it becomes a moving tarket as new orders are placed. It doesn't hurt to ask questions about your order and they've always been wonderful about replying. Good luck, hope your girl arrives soon.

 

Shashy I meant that I checked the order board and wasn't really expecting Hue to have been shipped yet...it's only been about 2 weeks since I paid his layaway off.

 

Well, I paid mine outright Sept 3 when ordered and I haven't heard from them on the order board. Must check again tomorrow.

 

My Hue has arrived today! and he is gorgeous, Anjonghak is such a talented sculptor , the boy hands are so well defined too...I love this body so much I'd buy another if I could afford it ....He needs his wig and clothes, he got here much sooner than I expected so he will have to go bald and naked for a while.

 

Congratulations, Treehugger, on receiving Hue!!!! Aren't the hands wonderful on the DT's, so elegant and lifelike. Enjoy!
