In my package there was no box, too, and one magnet fell out from the Hyun head, have to glue it on.

 

My 17yr Ecup Girl Body is here, and I'm very pleased with it! No thinnish parts around the knees or ankles. In fact, every part that can be prone to cracking has good thick looking resin.
Posing's wonderful, too. This body doesn't have the knee problem of the 18yr body, it's stands very well.

Not gonna post many pics since there are plenty of the regular 17yr Girl Body, and they're exactly the same except for the chest part.

Oh, @reinvent Thank you! I was so worried reading this thread, but yours looks lovely! Since I'm making my last payment in a few days, this post was well-timed. Thanks again for relieving my worries.

 

I just received my Kana 17girl and I can also assure everyone that she arrived with excellent resin, no thin sections, and poses perfectly. She's a delight all around!

*Edited to add: Mine also arrived with just the one outer shipping box, and no interior box. Everything was very well wrapped though, with lots and lots of bubblewrap.

I paid for a body in November as well and just received the shipping notice--I had emailed previously and was told it was due to casting delays. I wonder if the Dollshe delays are also affecting Dollstown.

Hopefully you will hear from Dollstown soon too!

Welp, still waiting so I sent an email asking if there was a time estimate. Crossing my fingers! Ordinarily I probably wouldn't email asking for that, but since it's already been twice as long as their own stated time, it seems fair to ask.

 

Meh, I ordered 2 Dollshes around the same time as my Dollstowns, so I wont pester Dollstown till the others have shipped, since they are all being cast at the same place. :P At least that kinda gives me a heads up on when my Dollstown order will come in.

 

Dollstown responded really quickly, and said that there have been casting delays. They've been keeping an eye on it for us, so I'm happy to wait.

 

I'm suppppper excited, I just placed my order for an 18 yr old body in oriental. Love this body so much! It's on layaway, so I'm going to be here for a bit. I have a floating head that has waited like 4 years now for a body, lol.

 

I also ordered the beginning of November and have emailed with Jonghak An. He said there were casting delays as well but was sending a list of dolls to have them try to hurry up with. I have many dollstown girls and this is the longest wait I have ever had.

 

Hello! I ordered Dollstown elf-body in oriental on December 22 and I`ve been waiting for it since then. Hope everyone will get their dolls soon! ))

I was going for a layaway payment but then I got tired *facepalm* and on Sunday paid the rest.
Dollstown sent me a mail that they will get the package ready this week and I am so impatient already.
I ordered mini-Elysia on 7yo body.

 

I'm also joining in on waiting! I started my layaway for an 18yrs boy body last month on 7/6/17 and paid off my last payment today. Originally I thought I'd do a 3 month layaway but I ended up just paying once per paycheck, so it really only took a month and a half. Now I've just gotta wait for it to come in!

 

I am sooo excited to have finally done this! I just ordered my Seola7 an elf body. I figured taking advantage of the free shipping promotion was the time to do it. Let the countdown begin!

Yes. I ordered the DT15 boy body and DT didn't inform me that they had to cast the body in silicone first till I asked just recently. I just hope that it doesn't get stuck in the customs since holiday season is just around the corner. :/

 

Oh man, that's long, and I am sorry they first had to still cast in silicone! Goodness, I am wishing for you that they ship the body out very soon, waaay well ahead of the holiday season. Crossing fingers for you, have you emailed them to see what the status is now? I am always finding that An Jong Hak is very good with replying to email... Just a thought maybe? Which head is getting that nice body?

 

I'll be emailing them at the end of the month since I don't want to bother them a little too much. He did mention that he already nagged the casting group to hurry up the orders. ^^;;
I have a Kanadoll Adrian waiting for it and might order another body if all goes well next year.

I emailed Dollstown just to check up on my order (it’s been 4.5 months since paying off my layaway) and they said it should be shipped this week! I’m so excited and hopefully I’ll have my boy’s body home before my birthday.

 

Update on my boy's body! Dollstown sent me a shipping notification today so now I'm just waiting for this beautiful body to come home. Hopefully the holidays don't back things up too much, but I'm just happy he's on his way!

My boy's 18yrs body came in today! First impressions: It's beyond beautiful but definitely needs to be restrung! I can't wait to get him home so I can get his head put on, fiddle around with his posing, and dress him up.

 

Hi everyone - just checking in here, as I don't have time to go trawling back through DoA for answers >_< I've just ordered an 18G body under their "In Stock" category. Does this mean they actually have bodies ready in stock (which is very unusual for a BJD company)? Or should I still expect a several month wait (as usual)? I want to adjust my expectations accordingly!

 

Hello waiting room. This spring sale that Dollstown has was just too tempting to pass by! I've been sitting on a super cute Soyu head for a couple of years with intent to get her an elf body...but it just never happened. But finally...she will be complete!

I placed my order yesterday for an elf body in fresh skin. There was none in-stock so I had to place a pre-order. I'm hoping the wait wont be too long. I'm very excited though. I have loved the look of the elf body for a long time. I can't wait to get my hands on it to see if it poses as nicely as my other Dollstown girl! (Soi on the 18yrs girl body)

 

Aaaaand just got a shipping notice last night! It doesn't look like it's been scanned yet, but I do have the tracking so I'll check it again tomorrow and pray it's on it's way. Can't wait to play with this body and I really hope it matches an older head!

 

I keep forgetting to post here when I place an order as it's been awhile.
I ordered on May 13th a Halley Head by Torre and a Elf body, both in Oriental skin. I thought since Halley's head is a 8.4 head it will be fine on Elf Body as one of the Elf heads was 8.2 or was it a 7 Yr. head. In any case I really don't think 0.2 cm is going to be a big deal. If she does end up a bobble head will get a different head for the body and in time get a 13 yr girl body for the Halley head. But I am going to hope this works really well.

 

Joining because I ordered the soon to be discontinued 17 yrs J head. I really love his slightly grumpy face.

@animemom Fantastic! What resin colour did you get him in? Did you get an instock one? I got him in 'pale'. I can just see him as a pale, broody, angry kid, haha! Reminds me of my own teenage years That kind of reflects my plans for him. I ordered a faceup for him too, so I'm not sure what the time scale will be for him.

 

I ordered him in Oriental skin. I should see him and the older order I placed soon. Dollstown wrote me saying all three of my orders would ship together soon.

 

I'm not sure I understand the whole pre-order/in stock thing. I ordered an 18 yr old body (pre-order was all that was available) on April 20th. I haven't heard anything. However, they now have those bodies in stock. Shouldn't they be shipping mine out? It just says my order has been 'processed.'

 

@ajgood That's weird. I've not ordered a body from them before, but that doesn't sound right. If they have bodies in stock in the same resin colour you requested, I would drop them a message asking for an update.

 

They are easy to reach via email. So please include your order number and ask about the hold up.

 

I just figured out the problem. When I choose the "in-stock" body from the drop down, it then shows that it is "out of stock" in very small red letters under the price. It is not really obvious unless you are looking for it. I remember now that is what happened when I tried to order the first time. I went back later and chose the pre-order and purchased that one. I had completely forgotten, and you do get the impression that it is in-stock when you are trying to place an order. Hope all of that makes some sort of sense.

Sometimes navigating these websites can be confusing. I've run across more than one where things like this were not obvious. Glad I figured that one out.

An 18 yr old girl body in oriental. I have an Estella head for it. Now I wish I had gotten the face-up done while I was waiting. I don't know why I put things off for no reason.

 

Well if you didn't like the head on body you would have wasted money on face up and blank heads sometimes sell faster. In any case now you know more about who she'll be too.

 

True. I guess if I had known exactly what I wanted to do with her, I would have gotten it done. I have many wigs, but not a single one that I feel is right for her. Guess that says a lot.

 

Yes I try on eyes, wigs and clothes before I have face up idea let alone begun. If thinks aren't meshing then I begin to second guess my reasons on buying head let alone a full doll. But if it all comes together then face up is that cherry on top.

 

Good advice. I honestly bought this head on a whim, and I have seen more Estella's that I didn't care for than ones that I have. You've made me think about the obvious. Ha. There are plenty of other DT heads that I think I have to have, so I should probably put my money and effort into one of those. That 18 yr old body is not a small bit of change, so it should have a head on it that I love. Those big bodies take up a lot of real estate too. Thanks!

 

Very true the big ones are just that big, and other then the 17 year bodies don't work well with the others unless you wnat them to seem even more gigantic. Good Luck.

 

Ordered another Seola7 head today, in fresh skin. The thought that she'll be phased out is very sad. But Jong Hak wrote that he is working on new head releases for next year, so fingers crossed for some wonderful new faces.

 

I agree @tanjalalie it will be wonderful to see new faces for any of the bodies, but hopefully they will also consider some new bodies as well like some more boy bodies for the kid heads.

 

My Seola7 head in fresh skin arrived safely on Dec 24. She was cast on the 15th and shipped on the 21st. So happy to have another Seola before it 's too late!

 

Bought a Jea and Deogi 5 year old head in oriental skin. Said they were in stock. Wondering how long it takes them to ship out.

Aaaaaaaaah Dollstown is discontinuing their Jun&Elf aaaaaaaaaaah

I had to order one because it's been on my wishlist for years, so it's on layaway now. Even though the Elf Girl body is female, the character I'm shelling is male. Jun&Elf was no longer available in Oriental Copper, unfortunately, so I ordered him in Oriental and I'm hoping I can dye him when he comes in. So excited!!

 

Oooh, I could have been in here since September when I ordered a DT5 and Deogi head...I had the email that she was ready to ship once I'd paid my last payment, so once they reply to my quick query, I will be off to paypal and get that last payment in.
