I am totally late to the Dollstown party, but I finally succumbed.

I've been buying them outfits like crazy! I was told that they will take about two months to arrive. Can't wait!

 

And I'm back for one more DT order! I actually made this order in February, but I forgot to post about it here. I bought a body this time around instead of a full doll. My Notdoll Lab Bleu Citron has been sitting around bodyless for 2+ years now. Decided it was finally time to stop putting off finishing her.

I originally opted for a 3 month layaway, but thanks to DollZone's very recent discontinuations, I've opted to finish paying off this order so I can get a DZ doll put on layaway later this month before she's no longer available. xD So much for my original doll plans for this year (was just gonna get this body + 2 other dolls, but nooooooo). Thankfully, I happened to have an extra $200 bucks to spend this month, so clearly, it was meant to be.

Plus side? Just means I'll have this beautiful body sooner rather than later. (Not looking forward trying to pick out a faceup artist though...)

I ordered a Remi on the 17 yr girl body in Oriental skin on March 10th, then added to order on April 15 the 5 Yr Amy head on a 7 yr body in Oriental skin. I will post when they have both shipped with an update via edit. I am also excited about getting the 17 yr boy body. Then I will have almost every size body DT makes, except an 18 yr boy.

 

Congrats on the new dollies on order, @animemom I take it you're a big fan of DT?

My Elf body just shipped out on Tues/Wed this week. Crossing my fingers it arrives tomorrow or Saturday. x3

 

Congrats! The Elf body is one of my favs. Will have once everyone is set 10 Dollstown dolls.

I haven't ordered anything from Dollstown yet (I am planning on ordering an Elf Soyu over the summer), I was simply wondering if anyone knew the approximate wait time when ordering an "in-stock" product from DT. People seem to be coming in and out of the waiting room really fast; does that mean the dolls are literally "in-stock"? That would be amazing!

 

I just placed an order for Soi head in fresh skin. Can't wait to add her to my collection.

The 'in stock' items are usually sent out within a week or two from my experience

If the doll/body/head says in stock in the selection bar, as well as pops up when you select that said doll or part, you're looking at 2 weeks tops. If the scroll bar selections says Pre-order and In stock pops up on your selection you're looking at a month. If it says Pre-order and Out of stock pops up. Your looking at around 2 months maybe longer if holidays like Golden week, pop up. Longest I have waited on a standard order was 2 months. If I ordered a new body like the 17 yr girl, I am looking at month 2 already passing, so maybe a couple more weeks. But if it's 3 months, still not bad compared to some companies.

 

My Soi head was sent yesterday so she should be arriving any time now. Can't wait

 

My Elf body showed up back on the 30th and goodness it is beautiful. It's just a perfect fit for the head I got it for and I'm soooo happy about that! I didn't take any box opening photos since I was just excited to finally see this body (been putting off getting it for nearly 3 years), but you can see it here: strungout

Hope everyone else gets their dolls quickly (which I have no doubt will happen, DT keeps to a pretty decently short wait time).

 

My Soi head showed up today. Can't believe how fast it was. It arrived faster from overseas than when i buy something just from interstate. Super happy and can't wait to see what I can do with her

I hope it is okay to ask this here. I'm in the process of placing an order through Dollstown and want to pay with layaway. I'm following the instructions they set, but the two payment options they have listed (Paypal and Credit Card) just takes me straight to Paypal with the full amount after I click the "Submit My Order" button.
And since the amount in Paypal is set for the order total, it's not really giving any options to divide that amount or anything, so I either sign in to Paypal or click the cancel link at the bottom.
Is there a way to actually submit the order without having to go through payment so that I can actually pay layaway? (or maybe I'm missing something (probably))

My orders arrived. I received a DT Remi head in Oriental skin and a 17 Yr body for her, a 7 Yr body, a five year body and a 5 Yr Amy head. All oriental skin tone. I am thrilled with all that arrived in great shape and so well packed. I am working on my 17 Yr girl and the other two, well they have own agenda.




As you can see Remi has a bit of an issue with her head cap. I told DT that the cap doesn't sit on head like past heads. It seems to be lacking a tab, not sure if something went wrong in casting or a flaw in the sculpt. I am waiting to hear their response.


The body is beautiful, well done and stands & poses very well. Much better then the 18 yr girl. Now she just needs a name and a face up.

 

Hello everyone! I'm currently waiting on the 18yrs boy body. He's going to be a hybrid.

 

I placed not one but two orders. First to arrive will be a 13 year girl body with a Hyun head both in Oriental skin. Next I ordered a 18 year boy body with a J head also in Oriental skin. I think I will make them brother and sister. Although the 18 year boy is crazy big so maybe not. He will be with my 18 yr girl who ended up staying here. She's been re-faced up and once weather cools down will get body done to better match. Haven't heard anything on the 17 year boy body, but if he does come out in September he will be my birthday and Christmas gift to me from family.

Oh and the girl I posted earlier is done, and my Avatar. She can also be seen in a thread I created in gallery.

 

My Hyun and her body are on their way. Yeah!!

 

I officially ordered a 17yr boy body in Fresh! Paid half now, the rest.....sometime that is not now.
I've never done a layaway with them, they're really fast at getting back to you. I wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow!

Do we have a list, or do we just keep track of our stuff?

I paid off my layaway today! Nothing like have having everything paid off! Now the real wait can begin.

 

Waiting for my Elysia head. 4 days ago they sent me a tracking number of EMS and I just checked today it is still showing not found...Wondering how long people need to wait for in stock items from dollstown...

 

10/3 was a national holiday in Korea. It's also possible that it's on the post office rather than Dollstown.

Now waiting on my DT order (Biela 17 girl + Kana head - all in pure fresh skin), and am really looking forward to their arrival. Of course, they'll likely arrive in winter, so it will be spring before I can paint and spray them with MSC - but that gives me plenty of time to leisurely plan how I want them to look.

Well I wasn't going to post, but maybe now I will XD I want magic too!
Today is my two month mark! Gimme gimme! Except that it isn't really since I did a very short layaway of two payments :P
So I'll probably have a few weeks, if not longer. Dollstown waits always seem so much longer than they really are, because I am in serious want-mode for everything I buy from them.

 

Oh, I'm always in serious want-mode when I order from Dollstown, too! This Yeondu is replacing one that I sold several years ago, for reasons that I can't remember now -- I found that I missed her more than I expected to, and then when the sculpt was going to be discontinued, well . . .

USPS thinks she may get here on Wednesday, which is a BIT of a bummer since I work until nine on Wednesday nights, but I can pick her up at the post office before work on Thursday morning. What's funny is that she wound up on the same flight as the Fantasia-Doll Isaac I've been waiting for since June, but evidently they were sorted into different processing streams when they landed in Chicago, and now Isaac is dawdling in Customs while Yeondu is zipping her way along. (Korea Post's track-trace site gives the actual flight numbers that EMS packages are on -- I had never noticed this before, but I'm enjoying it a lot.)

Crossing my fingers that you get some Dollstown shipping magic right away!!

 

Aw, it's so great to rediscover one you had to let go (I may have done the same thing a few times). I hope she's as gorgeous as you remember!

Two days isn't bad, and I hope Isaac is on his way too!

 

My Yeondu is here, and I'm so very glad I ordered her! I hadn't seen the re-engineered 13girl body except in pictures, and I really like it in person. Unlike the previous version, the knees aren't kicky at ALL, and while the double-jointed elbows aren't pretty, they make a big difference in the arm posing. I may have to upgrade Kate, my DT Susie, to one of these bodies!

The Fantasia Isaac arrived on the same day, and the comparison between them is fascinating. He's very much new-school BJD, with hyper-detailed body sculpting, a very small head, and the smooth, glossy resin that seems to be a lot of companies' preference now. I have to say that, as amazing as he is, I will always like the oldschool style better -- even blank and bald, Yeondu makes me want to pick her up and play with her, plus I love the feel of her heavy, toothy Dollshe/Dollstown resin.

 

Just put in my order for a Soyu with elfbody, and a 17year body for my LLT Edria! *settles in for the long wait*

I've always loved Soph, but I was saving for Io when they announced the discontinuation...
...so two dolls it is.

I think they are having delays with everything. Cat and I ordered some elf bodies in oriental skin and I ordered a Maru on an elf body in fresh skin on 9/21/16 and paid in full. I contacted DT by email a few weeks ago and they said that they were sorry for the delay with our order, but they were having delays with casting. They did not give an estimated date when our order will be filled. So I came here to commiserate.

I have just ordered one 18yrs girl body and two heads, IO human and Hyun, all in pure oriental & in-stock, full paid.
Hopefully the both heads would work proportionally well with the body.

 

I just ordered a Rian head in fresh skin! It said it was in stock so hopefully it will arrive soon.
Does anyone know the typical shipping times for Dollstown?

 

I ordered a Maru elf in fresh and two oriental skin bodies 9/21/16 and they were shipped on Monday and hopefully will get them tomorrow.

 

I got a shipping notice last week for my 17 boy body! After a horrible disappointment with another body I'm really excited for this one (which I've been waiting for since early in-progress photos). Should arrive Tuesday (unless holiday delays cause...delays) which, happily, I had already taken off work! So I might actually get it Tuesday!

 

@VampireAngel13, good to know they have started shipping! Thanks for letting me know. This wait felt so frustrating since I didn't expect it would last for almost 4 months (since aug 29th for me). I am happy it ends soon and I get this 17 year boy body. I can hardly wait just a little bit more to ogle it in person.

 

@noirobscur for real! I am used to about a 2 month wait from DT for not in-stock stuff, so I was going nuts too! Just happy it shipped and is on the way, I hope yours is close behind!

I've been lurking in the Dollshe thread. I can't help but wonder if they're being backed up is part of the reason for the longer than normal DT wait?

 

I am curious what resin colors others chose in their orders and if that effects wait time.

 

My Rian was shipped! So excited, although the holiday season is freaking me out.

 

I've never shopped with another doll company that confirms each payment via email. Usually, most companies only do this for first or last payments. It's a little thing, but it's nice. Just another reason that I love DT.

 

It is nice, indeed, the communication with him is superb, I do really appreciate it, too.
My doll body and two heads are shipped and on the way. Just a week later after ordering. Can't still believe it. ^^

 

My rian head arrived today! Such gorgeous detail, I got it in fresh skin which is very very pale but I expected that. So pleased with Dollstown

 

My 18yrs girl body and two heads arrived yesterday. The package itself was awfully damaged, I was really stressed picking it up at the custom office, but there weren't any damages inside, puhhh...

I am very impressed, the body and the both heads are just beautiful, more as I thought. I have ordered her in oriental skin, it is a very nice nuance, I am very pleased with the color.

I have a problem with her seamlines, they are noticeable and somehow irregular (more or less noticeable), will have to sand her.

 

Ordered the 17yr Girl Ecup body way back in October. Moments ago got the email that it was shipped today.

I've heard that the recent bodies seem to have an issue with resin being too thin in some parts like knees, ankles, etc. Can't say that I'm not worried, especially knowing how the packaging is pretty flimsy to put it lightly.

Interesting that you mentioned about the thinner resin than in the past. I have to agree with that. My elf body Maru is lighter in total weight than I remember my old body elf Hannah being. I would have expected her to be heavier considering the current elf body is slightly taller. I also noticed that the head cap was quite thin. The resin looks ok, but different than what it used to. It almost looks plastic like when you first see it. It has grown on me now that I am use to it. The fresh skin is now just a lighter oriental. It has no pink in it at all.They also glued in the magnet wrong and they sent it out that way which I was not impressed with for a 500.00 doll. We also got shorted one of our elf bodies in oriental skin which was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I love my Maru, but my friend and I had a 1,000.00 order (one complete Maru on an elf body and 2 elf bodies) and I would have expected more attention to detail than what we got after waiting 3+ months.

Did anyone happen to get a doll box with their order? I heard sometimes they send a doll box and other times they do not. I did not get a doll box with my complete doll.

 

Luckyl, I've been wondering if it was only my imagination that their quality has dropped over the past year, but I guess it's true after all. Which is sad because the old bodies were absolutely amazing when it came to quality and, in my opinion, even the posing. None of that wobbly knee problem!

 

Now on the posing of the elf body, it is as good if not better. It is still one of my favorite BJD bodies as far as beauty and function. One thing I will say about the resin quality is that there is not one flaw that I can see. Dollshe did a great job with that. Seams are slightly visible in my doll, but much less than most other companies.

 

Oh my... now I'm a little worried. I've got 2 dolls on order right now based on how much I loved my 13A body from them. It's a little distressing to hear they may not be as nice as my older DT. :/ Hmm. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
