Thank you so much for the info. How long do you had to wait for the body to be finish? If God permits I'm planning to order a 18yr boy body. I'm in love with the shape of it.

 

I had ordered in early January and didn't get the shipping notice until late July, so about 6-7 months? Not the longest wait, but a lot longer than the original quote of 2-4 months. I think it was completely worth it, though.

 

I managed to find a DT 18 boy body second hand and I finally got my Namonaki Workshop Mikkel 2.0 head put on it nicely and painted (I had to do a quick neck mod for it to fit, but that was always the plan anyway) . . . only problem. . He has no clothes! (some may not see this as a problem). Is there a what fits thread for these boyos? I'll probably be making my own clothes for the most part, but sometimes one wants to be lazy. . .

If you plan to sew for him, SEJONG Studio at Etsy Sejongstudio by SejongStudio on Etsy has some very fine patterns for big boys.

 

Was wondering if anyone with a 18 yr girl body can help.
I am hoping someone is able to give me the measurement from the shoulder to hips pretty please? A fellow DT fan on FB needs the info & I have no such girl.

quick and dirty measuring, mid top of the shoulder (where I assume your shoulder seam will be) to pointy pelvic crest is about 21cm, measured over the fullest part of the chest

Thank you! I had mixed feelings about this body because it looked awesome but didn't want to stand by itself. This is a feature of knees for both boys and girls body. Therefore, minor modifications and suede were made to make it docile.
I placed the order on May 3rd, received it on July 31st, so it took 89 days to cast and deliver the doll's body. Not bad.

 

I just order the 18yr boy body in pale skin. If God permits I'm praying for a short waiting time also to be a good fit and resin match for the custom head I comission

 

I’ve been working on my Soi and I’ve ran out of sealant damn it, so she remains unfinished, although still awaiting her 18yr body anyway.. who knows when that will arrive but her head was 8 months. This is NOT what I had in mind, but with the limited supplies I have I am happy. I think she’s developing a steampunk kind of theme! I’m feeling pretty good about how she’s coming along! And she kind of looks like a Jane to me... I’m off to try find some steampunk stuff for her...

Still waiting on my 18 year old boy body. It has been 3 months so I’m thinking it will take longer. I hope to get a shipping notice by January next year. I have the head I will use ready. I just got it from the face up artist last week

Hallo, today I got my DT 18y boy body in oriental and its gorgeous.Really nice sculpt. I planned hybrid with Demiurge Mustang but he looks weird at this body (no fitting wig so maybe this is problem, too) so for now body is paired with Zakary (SartoriaJ).

BUT as a beginner in hobby, I had this legs+knee issue. He is kicking as a mule. Anybody with tips and tricks? If sueding, which parts of the body?

 

Skip the sueding and try stringing with the thickest elastic you can fit through the channels. I think I have 5mm in my 18y girl body right now, but I picked up some 6mm for a few other floppy big boys and I think that might fit as well.
Search for shock cord on Amazon (or ebay, or whatever) because it's hard to find elastic thicker than 4.5mm from most bjd places. I think I got the 5mm from Dollmore, but that was ages ago now.

 

Girr, thanks for tip. I am very happy because I already bought one 5mm elastic from Dollmore (and its beige now white). Ok I hope he will be ready for photo after Christmas.

 

I just got a shipping notice for my 18yr boy body. I’m so excited and to be honest I wasn’t expecting a shipping notice until next year may be around February. So happy it took just a little over 3 months for the body to be ready. DollsTown kept their word

 

Got my body today. It is so beautiful sculpted but HUGE!! I was not expecting the body to be this big, and heavy. Also the head didn’t match because it is more yellowish white that the papare white of te body. Also the neck joint on the head is smaller than the neck

Hello! Just popping in to ask how quick Dollstown's e-mail response time is? I'm trying to order before the sale period ends ^^'

 

I put my Elfdoll Tasha reminisce head (homme skin) on Dollstown 17yrs girl body (oriental skin) and the result is very surprising. Blushable, I suppose. The neck needs to be narrowed at the top, but otherwise the proportions are very nice.

I finally got the new head for my 18yr boy body and I love him more than the old head. He is a simply divine Tatsuo head

 

Seriously tempted by a Byula on the standard 17 girl body but hearing a few things about posing. Now I have a "whatever I can make it work" attitude and don't mind sueding, wiring, or even modding but what exactly have I gotten myself into if I do decide to go for it? (Also what's wait time looking like? some people are saying 3mo some are saying 8)

 

Does anyone know what their email response time is? That’s still the only way to order from them unless I’m mistaken.

 

When I order they reply to me the next business day. They are very quick with the responses. I order from them last September.

 

That sounds good. I sent them an email on Saturday so I’ll wait a couple of days before poking them.

 

They don’t seem to respond fast over the weekend, but they contacted me within 4 days (over a holiday weekend too). Then their responses were very fast.

 

They just responded to me, I paid, and they confirmed payment received right away. They said my body can ship in 1 month.

What body did you order and what color of resin? I order the 18yr boy body and I love it. I’m amaze with the sculpting. I owned a 15yr old boy body before and I hated it. I got it on the marketplace and I believe it was an old version. They fix the knees now to my knowledge. I remember the knees were always bending and the body would never stand up. So, I was afraid it would be the same with the 18yr body but so far it stand very solid

 

I ordered the 17yr girl vision body in oriental skin.

 

In case people didn't know Dollstown dolls are cast by Dollshe. Dollshe has decided to no longer do Honey resins. So Honey Raspberry, Honey Peach and so on are no longer to be available. They also have temporarily stopped blue and green as well. If they decide to resume it will be awhile. For the complete story check out Bjdivas post in news here on DOA.
Of course I am affected as I just bought second hand a Dollstown 17 year girl vision body in honey peach fresh resin and asked Dollstown which of the girls heads could they get in that resin color. They came back with four or five heads And I picked Halley. Two days later I find out this news and now trying to find out if I can even get the head now. Yikes!

Yes they’ve been quite good with me normally 1-3 days. (Would be major time differences from my part of world). I have placed two orders.

I decided to take advantage of the sale and ordered the Dollstown 18 boy body. I wonder how long it will take given that the casting is done by Dollshe... The website says 3 months, but a friend's order took closer to 6.

Anyone have the "new" 17yr girl body and maybe also the older one? I just got the old one today, and already I like it so much I want a second...but I'd like to try the new one so I don't have repeats. I was just wondering how they compared irl as opposed to just photos from the company.

 

@VampireAngel13 You have a 15yr girl body too, don't you? I've been wanting to know how the 15 and 17 compare for a long time. Since it's discontinued, An Jong Hak never showed them side by side.

Don't mind the extreme yellow - I actually bought this body for the yellowing XD because the B&G Sapphira was yellow at birth. I gave up trying to stand them both. The 15 was not having it. I need to suede those ankles.

@VampireAngel13 Thank you for these! Very helpful! And so interesting to see how all of the ideas in the 15yr girl body really informed the development of the 17yr. I can see now why he dropped it, even though I think some of the jointing experiments were successful. I'm not sure what it is about Dollstown's stock photos, but they always make the bodies look so bony and awkward compared to how substantial they feel in person when I'm handling them.

 

Did anyone else order during the January sale period? Their wait time is supposed to be 2-3 months, but I haven't gotten any updates. In April I asked if they had casted the bodies and they said they hadn't gotten them back from their casting service provider. Is anyone else still waiting?

 

isn't their "casting service provider" Dollshe? If so, it might be a bit, Dollshe seems to be having all sorts of issues

 

@Girrl It seems you're correct. I got an e-mail from Dollstown saying they had received my Elf body but not the 18YRS boy body, so only half my order has been cast. They're going to ship them separately, so that is nice of them.

I don't really mind the wait times, I'm used to longer ones. It gives me time to figure out what clothes and wigs and things I want for them...

I've already been waiting over a year on a Dollshe order and while I'm not really concerned (yet) I am starting to wonder if Dollshe intends to fulfill it, seeing how they discontinued the resin type I ordered...

 

Does anyone know the head size for the Sooha sculpt? I fell in love with that head, but only the neck diameter is mentioned on their website...

EDIT: Dollstown responded, head circumference is 8.5 inches!

 

I’ve just finished a new gown for my DT17 /LLdT Edria hybrid.
The bodice is a silk tafetta lined in Swiss batiste. She wears two
cotton batiste petticoats and a cage crinoline under the micro sequin
skirt. The sequin fabric was heavy enough that it needed the
crinoline to give the it required shape.
