Dollstown 17 and 18 year boys and girls - Part 2

Ugh, I shouldn't, but I'm really tempted to grab a girl 17yr body to replace the 18yr body my Elfdoll Vivien is on. I think that it's been over a year since I bought it, but I'm still battling with it and struggling to find clothing.

 

I hear you. I ordered a 17 yr Vision body over 2 months ago. Then virus hit and I am worried when my new girl or the bodies I ordered for floating heads will arrive. If I had known the anniversary sale would happen I might have waited. But live and learn.

Yeah, Dollshe changed his resin colors. Oriental is pinker. That’s all I know.

 

@Mahgiep Oh thanks for the heads up! I was thinking of getting a 18 in oriental but my head is normal yellow...gotta track down some pictures of the new color!

 

I’m thinking of ordering one of the DT17 girls on the 17 yrs old girl vision body. So I want to know what clothes and shoes can she wear and especially the high heel feet. Also I’m a little confused about the layaway instructions so if anyone can explain it to me a better that would be awesome.

 

I can't help with shoes as my flat footed 17 year girl is hard enough to find shoes for. But I believe the layaway is you pick under payment 20% down and you pay that and some of the shipping costs, then when the doll is ready you pay 80% so the rest owed including the shipping. Now I don't know for sure if you're locked into the sale price, but I would think you are. You can directly email Dollstown and get a for sure answer but it will take a while for reply. Not sure if they have direct link to emails or at their company.

Who is the body for?

 

I had two floating head, Mustang (Demiurge) and Zakary (SartoriaJ). I am quite curious, who it would be. I love DT bodies and regretted not bought one in previous 20percent sale year ago, so I go for it now. I hope my bank account can handle it . The more pictures I see the more I want one for myself. Hope I don't have to wait long.

I have had Demuirge head and SartoriaJ head and both only worked on Dollshe bodies.

 

Well if I do decide to get one these lovely dolls I might order Hyun on the DT17 visión body In the copper oriental. I have until the 27th of this month to decide.

It was the neck and the proportions. As well as cost. I had the artist of the Demuirge head take him to her artist friend there in Russ and she layered face up so skin tone matched the Dollshe normal skin at the time. I especially miss that guy.

 

animemom, thanks for info. At DoA Demiurge forum is DT 18y body as possible option for hybridization, especially because bigger neck in 2018 version, so I would like to try it. If you dont mind my questions, why DT body plus SartoriaJ (Zakary) head failed for you? DT is quite pricy body so better to know than be financially exhausted

 

The Dollstown body is like over $600 while used Dollshe Pure bodies used are found around $300-$400 and in USA so save on shipping as well. Plus the weight difference I have to consider as I have arthritis in my hands and I find the pure body by Dollshe a solid stander and good power compared to the 18 year boy body by Dollstown. I love Dollstown, but the 18 years bodies I don't like. 17 year bodies is the highest I go.

 

animemom,, I feel with you because I know how much painful this can be, my mum and grandma both, so I'm probably next in line, and they both was (Granda) / are (mum) are handcrafters (knitting, embroidery etcr) so when this happens to one who uses his hands intensively for craft and hobby then it hurts twice as much. a lot of love joy and health and thanks for advice.

 

I have a quick question on the 18yr girl body.

When I bought her secondhand, her elastic was looped directly through the toe section of her jointed feet. I'm finally getting around to re-sueding her and was looking for tips on stabilizing her legs. What I found was a video of someone restringing the body and it looks like she's supposed to have an s-hook attaching her toe joint to the rest of her foot? Which makes way more sense than having the elastic run straight through there.

Does anyone have an 18yr body they could check for me? And if possible, post a photo of the s-hook? I'll have to dig through my supplies to see if I have an extra s-hook small enough to fit in there.

 

My 18yr girl body came strung the same way (elastic through the jointed feet) directly from dollstown. I swapped out the elastic she came with for 5mm and used some extra hand s-hooks I had for the jointed feet. The default stringing makes no sense, elastic thin enough to fit through the feet isn't thick enough for the doll to actually stand (especially with the old collapse-o-matic knees)

 

Restringing her with the foot hooks was so much easier this way! I swapped her elastic for 4.5mm, as that was the largest I had, and she was way more stable. Thank you so much for the advice

I also added 12g wire, but I may have to find some thicker wire or pop a second piece in each leg. I'm still getting some hip and knee wobble, even with the new knees and proper sueding.

Now I just have to find her some shoes that aren't stolen from my SD17 boy...

 

I got some new dollshe hands in oriental from the mp and it’s definitely got a pinker tone to it! So torn about it I wish it was easy to find an updated body but yellow X0c

 

Hi, can someone share what fits the 17 girl vision body? I'm seeing SD16, some iplehouse? And how does her height compare to Iple's EID men?

 

My LLT Edria is on a DT17 regular body...…………….I really do love this body. She is modeling a new dress by Period Threads.
I too am a bit tempted by the Vision body too though.

Heard from Dollstown today. A few of my items will be shipping next week. But not my 17 year vision body girl. She needs more time.

 

Hey guys! Just popped in to report that Luts senior delf boy shoes fit the dollstown 18yrs girl body quite well; I got mainly boots, but they fit body the feet and the legs.

So most variants of these boots, these dress shoes and these buckle shoes should work fine on these big girls.

However, standing in a whole other issue. The boots and the buckle shoes both have the interior that is certainly more accommodating for heel feet, however with the engineering of the joint on the toe piece, combined with the lack of back-rotation of the ankle joint make for a whole lotta heartache when trying to get my girl standing. Add on the trademarked knee issue of all dollstown bodies, and, well. Yeah. But with a stand it would likely look marvelous!

 

I got word from Dollstown yesterday. All of my orders except a 13 year girl body in oriental skin will be shipping this coming week. That's four bodies and three heads. The other body hopefully not much longer. Finally some heads will have bodies. And one body will finally have her head.

Thank you, but I have noticed big packages are taking longer. Even in USA. I ship small flat rate stuff and maybe it takes a day longer, I ship a doll to a friend and she's only 100 miles away and it took a week.

 

Yeah, you may be right! I had a doll that landed in NYC DHL to USPS from China but instead of coming to MA it went to NYState further and further west each day. I swear it was heading for CA! I complained to DHL and USPS and it arrived the next day. Seemed like DHL was the best phone call.

 

I've been emailing Dollstown about my layaway, asking what my balance is so I can pay it as well as to confirm the email I need to send payment to....anyone have any advice? I've emailed them 3 times over the past week.

 

You can send payment to same address as [email protected]
Also if you paid 20% down you should see if you log in your owed balance. If you didn't create an account then you can do a bit of math. If your total order is $1000 or more you don't have shipping costs and can send the owed 80% for your order. Be sure to add in note the order number and if you don't have an account then check your email from them stating order number and hopefully owed balance. Good Luck, I was lucky and must have got them on a day when they replied to emails due to some free time.

 

I created an account but there’s no balance owed, it just shows my first payment plus shipping.

 

Well I would give them the weekend to catch up on e-mails. If no response you should be able to figure out what you owe them if nothing else do the order over again and see the difference in amounts. If you did order during sale it might be harder as you have to subtract 15% for each item.
Just be patient.

 

Longtime lurker popping into the thread.... How long have folks here typically waited for body orders? I ordered an 18 boy body at the beginning of January, but the status still shows "Processing" on the website. When I emailed asking for a status update in April, they assured me they weren't experiencing any unusual delays. I might email again.
Trying not to be impatient, since these are unprecedented times!

 

Oh, hm. I ordered an 18 male body last year. Order was in July and it shipped in Sept. I was surprised it was so fast actually! I was expecting a longer wait. It was certainly a pleasant surprise. But that was before everything that's happening. I hope you can get an answer about your order @chobi

 

All my bodies and heads are arriving by Monday. Yeah Whoo!!

I just thought I'd pop into this thread and mention that anyone still looking for shoes for their 18 boy might want to try Soom Idealian. The fit is good.

I took the plunge and ordered some boots. I wouldn't recommend the tallest boots as much as the calf is rather roomy on the 18 boy leg, but shorter boots work quite well! I have mine in some short boots right now and I'm so happy. Hehe.

Over quarantine, I've been working on putting together an outfit for my guy on the 18 boy body.
He's gotten a shirt, vest, pants, and boots! Yay! It's so good to see him dressed.

 

Anyone know of any tops that fit well on the 18yr old boy body?

 

Ah, hm. The shirt and vest I got my guy are from SartoriaJ (for EID size) so they are roomy.
The shirt is a big flowy poet shirt though, so it didn't matter. And I adjusted the fit on the vest. Sorry that's not so much help.

 

Hi, just have a few questions. 1) So, um when did their website implode? It did implode right? I'm not looking at some fake Dollstown site which is mostly text am I?
2) The newer 18yo boy bodies, Do they still fit the same sorts of heads, or did they make the neck much bigger?

I've had luck with 70cm tops from ACBJD, and SSDF tops and coats from TataBJD. Stretchy pants from both stores work too.

My DT18 boy body spent a little over a week in transit, but arrived a few days ago safe & sound It's a really natural poser, and so gorgeous! Now all I need are a few pairs of casual shoes... SD Man boots from SartoriaJ are a good fit (slightly large), but they're all pretty dressy.

Hi everyone! I ordered a 18yr girl body in may and got it yesterday. I wasn't sure about skin color because I can't identificate a color of Luts Mia head that was prepared for this body. Maybe it's from the 1st release and have some yellowing, but I see a color more like white that normal. So I decided to order a pure fresh, and the body has a very beautiful milky-normal color, very close to head (I hope this will be a perfect matching after a while). I have roughly predicted the proportions of this hybrid and it actually looks good.
