Dollshe Waiting Room 12

Mar 12, 2020

    1. I'd say try anyway. Call them too, explain the situation. Maybe you'll get lucky. Dollshe is never going to reply, he doesn't care and never will.

      • x 8
    2. Try contacting them the sooner the better, I'm not getting any of my money back, but it's better to at least try.

      • x 2
    3. Reminder: all dolls ordered following the previously established deadline are banned on DoA.
Any dolls produced under Club Coco are 100% banned.
This means they cannot be discussed in any context- there cannot be a waiting room thread for these dolls, if anyone orders one they cannot state on DoA that they have done so. If any ever ship they cannot be posted here.
Club Coco and other related companies and projects can be discussed only in the very limited context of the ongoing Dollshe issues. (For example, stating that he shipped one to someone not on DoA, or that he is releasing additional dolls in collaboration with another company) - those dolls are still banned.

      • x 8
    4. Tried to email PayPal but the email doesn't work anymore. It seems I will have to call them.

    5. Let me see what I can do. International calls aren't really cheap especially where I'm from..

    6. I have finally reached the stage of grief where I've started sculpting another doll to make up for the one I will never get (I have a dozen heads in various stages of completion already )

      • x 15
    7. I would like to ask, how is the Dollstown situation in Dollshe context?
They are knowingly (they would need to live in a forest, under the stone, to not know about the situation) giving Dollshe platform to scam more people, enabling him to do it, giving him access to their PayPal.

I would rather not buy a Dollstown doll and then find out they became banned because of assisting Dollshe future endeavour.

So I would like to know, if giving dollshe use of PayPal quality for potential ban in the future?

      • x 6
    8. That is a good question. I know that I won't be purchasing from Dollstown if they continue to enable Dollshe's illicit behavior.

      • x 3
    9. I already asked this just to be sure before placing my order, this is what the moderators replied to me;

That Dollstown, at this point are not banned. That you should think of them as a dealer, that they carry a banned doll in their sales pages, that there is no ban on the dealer, but just those dolls on the banned list. So dollstown, as of now are okay, but not dollshe or his new/future companies like coco bjd that is now being sold on dollstown's website.

    10. Has anybody received a response from DollShe yet or is it just me? They are asking me for an additional shipping so they can send the dolls I ordered. I have no idea how to insert photos here so I can't put the screenshots yet (I'll look into it later) but basically they're saying that they had no access to their PayPal account for the past 9 months and they couldn't ship the orders because of it.

My question is if that was so then why weren't they telling this to us the moment it happened? Why only now?

Also they sent me the email on the 31st of January and I only saw it now (my bad).

      • x 3
    11. @AmaeraSybis Yes, I also received a response. I have already paid the additional shipping fee and they said they will ship my Saint on February 13th. I was going to wait until then to post because until that tracking number is live, I don't want to get my hopes up. I just really, really want my doll home.

      • x 6
    12. We were talking on Reddit about this but I just wouldn't risk it. If he wanted to send dolls out to people, he's got multiple ways to do it without asking people to send him more money when they've already sent him hundreds.

His words of guarantee are worthless. I feel like he's going to start coming up with excuses as to why he can't ship out on time, or worse, come up with fake shipping numbers that are constantly showing an item in transit and then draw out as much time as possible until people can't file Paypal disputes.

I'm happy to be wrong, but this is the reputation he's built for himself.

      • x 17
    13. I am scared to be honest. I really don't want to give him more money with what is happening. I will think on it.

I'm going to wait for the reply about the shipping fee and I'll check on it. I really want my dolls as well but I swear I will flip if there are more delays.

    14. No such email for those who ordered through BJDivas. I sent him a message just to see if he'd even respond, or if I'm permanently in the block and ignore pile because I ordered via a third party...

      • x 4
    15. In the photos of all the cast unstrung dolls I see a Pale Tan Owen, one I ordered from Divas June 20, 2020. Divas refunded me Nov 5, 2021. Did this guy really have all those dolls cast even though he knew the orders were canceled? Is he going to expect Divas to pay for him and leave them holding tons of dolls that they have already refunded customers for?

      • x 4
    16. If Divas never received a refund from Dollshe and refunded the customer from their own pocket, they may as well get the doll. Then they can sell it to break even at least. They do have in-stock sales sometimes.

I cancelled my Divas order over a year ago and have yet to receive a refund. At this point if Dollshe sent them my doll I'd absolutely be willing to take it, but it doesn't seem to be on the photos he posted.

      • x 4
    17. Damn it. I see a copper oriental Khan in those pictures. I ordered mine in December 2019 through Divas. I can't get my refund from them, and I just want the doll. I'm so mad.

      • x 5
    18. This has been occassionally happening in each order period. At some point they just demand more money but the chance they'll ship your doll is still small. This has been the situation for over 4 years, so the 9 months they couldn't access their paypal (if that's even true) is just a stupid excuse.

(for adding photos you need to upload them to a photo hosting website (like flickr) and then copying the image link (the one ending with . jpg or something) into the bar you get when clicking the image symbol at the top of your comment box)

    19. One person on reddit says they got a tracking number and it's moving. Fingers crossed for them (and then all of us)

      • x 5
    20. @sahoma The person on Reddit maybe you're talking about has received the doll. It shows the usual Dollshe problems, like being loosely strung, but the Reddit user says it came with everything included in the order. Maybe this gives us some hope. I am happy for those who have received the email with the shipping request, I am not one of you and I just want to laugh hysterically.

    21. I really hope that the people who had to deal with all that heartache get their dolls or their money back to be honest.... I remember a newbie asking about Dollshe and I was worried enough to be one of many people telling them not to pre-order the doll just so they would have to deal with him, and outright told them to go second-hand simply because of this awfulness. :( If only Dollshe actually cared about his customers and tried to give them what they payed for.......

      • x 4
    22. @RozenGermain That's right... I would not advice someone right now to buy from Dollshe until the company show signs of having a long term schedule and organized release plan. The fact people are receiving the shipping email means that their order somewhat exists, while there are others who are waiting for dolls to be made. Most of the sketch preorders like Marco, Leo and Lisa have been fulfilled randomly. I don't know if people will ever receive shipping notice for Maya and Carl Mars. Not to talk about those orders which have pending resolution with Ize and Mori which were not cancelled.
I guess I will be lucky if I receive my dolls within 2024, but I expect to wait for another year if not more... and now it's three.

    23. Sigh. I debated with myself for quite some time if I should come up to sadly join this waiting room. I ordered Adonis 18M with extra money on mystic body pose plus on 27 Oct 2022. Order was like $450 in total. And then I never heard from them anymore. It was after a very long hiatus from my BJD hobby, and I didn't had the mind to search on forum that Mr. Kim of Dollshe had come to such dishonest practice.
This almost made me feel bad to look at my old Dollshe dolls.
Now I've even come to read the ig post that Mr. Kim had stolen original molds from Mori 9's...oh my goodness!
:ablah: JUST DO NOT BUY FROM DOLLSHE.

    25. @Havra any reply back from Dollshe?

    26. Do we know that that is actual accurate fact , or hearsay and speculation?

      • x 3
    27. I appreciate your commitment to keeping things factual. Mori9 has made a public statement about it on their instagram here

    28. Update: So, February 13th came and went, and the tracking number that Dollshe gave me still didn't work. I sent an email to gently 'remind' them of the promised shipping. The tracking number is now live as of this morning.

      • x 11
    29. Unsurprisingly, none. I will keep emailing him periodically, though, as that is the only means of pursuit I see at this point. You should as well, since they clearly had the doll you ordered right there. Can't imagine how frustrating that must be.

      • x 3
    30. @Havra I have sent the email, but we'll see if I get a reply. I offered to pay the shipping fee and kept it light and friendly without mentioning Divas (just "a dealer"). I'm 99% sure I'll be ignored, but I can dream.

I wanted to yell in the email instead haha.

    31. He's finally home!!!

Packed in newspaper is better than nothing.

I was honestly kind of shocked that each piece or set of pieces was individually sealed. I actually expected all the parts to be stuffed in one bag together.

      Hands in bubble wrap.

All the pieces are accounted for.

      Strung and together at last.

I am just overwhelmed with relief. All the pieces are there, the certificates are my order number, nothing is broken. He's also far sturdier than Neo, and stands easily without support which is a welcome surprise. No quality issues at all.

That said, I do not wish to go through this again. The in-stock sale last year opened my eyes to what Dollshe is capable of, and knowing that my doll could've easily been sold to someone else gave me so much heartache. I know not everyone agrees that giving the shipping money was a good choice, but I'm glad I followed through with it.

I do have one more order with Dollshe for a Diana that was made during the March sale last year, which I deeply regret. I originally made the order because my Neo was being shipped around that time, and I had believed that my Saint would have been shipped with him, or around the same time. That was not the case, and here we are. I'm not sure what is going to become of that order. I think I'll just let her go and accept the loss. Maybe she will appear on the marketplace someday.

    32. I'm so happy that you at least got one of your dolls...

      • x 7
    33. I finally received an email from them about the additional shipping fee. I need a second opinion on whether I should trust this...I see people have received theirs? But I'm still a bit iffy about it..

      • x 1
    34. Personally—id pay it, as long as you can pay it via goods and services. If they don’t ship in 6 months, just do a PayPal claim and you’ll have that portion of your money back. That’s just my take though!!

      • x 8
    35. His recent posts state wire transfer only as he is no longer using Dollstown’s paypal.

      • x 2
    36. Oh yikes! that changes things!! In that case it really is a toss-up, because you might never see back that money, but also he might ship something if you pay the ransom fees he's throwing at you. I have no idea what you should do in this situation, my apologies.

      • x 4
    37. What a member in my discord did was call their bank to find out everything about wire transfers and if it can be refunded. I would recommend doing that before doing anything else.

Also, is it your doll order or a similar one they have in stock?

      • x 5
    38. I'll still try looking into it. My PayPal barely has anything in it ATM anyways so

    39. It was an old one. Like 2021. The packages. I bought three sets of dolls. :pout:

    40. Oh man, that's rough.

    41. About my last Dollshe experience.
My friend and I bought our dolls (Angela and Owen for my order and 2 Owens for her one) at the December of 2021. At February of 2023 my order's status was changed to "packing", but DC didn't answered after that and dolls didn't be delivered. I wrote 2-3 letters at 2023, but they weren't answered. My friend wrote more, but she waited vainly too. We said "goodbye" to our money already.
When the Dollshe's info about double shipping fee was published, we had 2 different opinions. My friend said: "it's a fraud, please don't pay him". But we decided to wrote him. My friend wasn't answered again, but my letter was successful. My order was ready to shipping as he said and it costs $75 for shipping. It was not very big amount, but not small too.
I decided to pay and my friend decided to wait my result. I sent him money and received my tracking num next day. It was very excited week, but when my parcel was delivered, I see them:
My friend was connected with Dollshe via my address (he didn't answer her directly) and received her boys too. We paid by different ways: me - to Dollstown account and my friend - to banking account directly.
At the end I need ro say: I don't try to whiten Dollshe's name, he acts as not good person yet, but maybe not everything is lost for you, guys, if he tries to change our opinions and ship some dolls yet.
Please don't hesitate to ask me about my experience details if you needs, I try to answer.

    42. I have some others in my discord that have old orders like you that decided to pay the shipping fee again. They've received active tracking number and we're waiting to see if they receive their doll.

The problem is, if you didn't pay dollshe directly for your order they will not work with you or the other vender. He has A LOT of dolls on hand he could send to the rightful owners, until he send them all he's not a good person to me, nor is he is he someone I would ever advise giving money too again.

    43. Yeah, I sent two emails fishing for the same offer and never got a response. Those of us who ordered through BJDivas appear to be screwed.

      • x 10
    44. He explicitly said that pretty much with his last posting.

    45. Hopefully BJDivas is planning to take legal action if they aren't already.... Dollshe's totally throwing them under the bus!

    46. I finally got an email back I am copying and pasting a snippet.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I promised to refund the additional shipping fees later. However, after paying the shipping fees, there is no profit left to pay the staff.

For a while, we have been sending many BJDs to customers with additional shipping fees. It takes a long time to find and pack the in-stock BJDs for shipping.

Now, as I have to handle everything alone, even if customers agree to bear additional shipping fees, there are no staff available to send the BJDs.

As previously announced, due to operational difficulties, all employees have resigned, resulting in the temporary suspension of operations at DollShe Craft Casting Center. DollShe Craft is facing financial difficulties and cannot afford the casting and shipping costs of delayed BJDs.

Finding a way to immediately casting and ship the backlog of BJDs has been challenging. Currently, there is only one method available to ship the delayed BJDs. I sincerely apologize for the inability to ship the delayed BJDs promptly.

Recently, a customer inquired about whether purchasing one additional BJD would allow them to receive one delayed BJD alongside. By ordering one additional BJD, funds are generated to casting two BJDs. Therefore, by ordering one additional BJD, we can pack and ship one delayed BJD together.

Casting will be outsourced to another workshop. I can only handle original production and sample casting. Similarly, due to DollShe Craft's minimal profitability, I often need to engage in other work.

If you order one BJD, we can ship it together with the delayed BJDs within 2-3 weeks. We will send the silicone mold to another workshop for casting. Providing the silicone mold to other workshops is a task I can handle alone.

I sincerely apologize for the current inability to ship the delayed BJDs.

      -----------------------------------------------------------

Correct me if I am wrong but my read of it is I am SOL unless I buy another. I would happily pay extra shipping just to have my girl. I empathize but I am hesitant. Can I get another set of eyes on this, please? I don't know if I'm misunderstanding or maybe too emotionally close.

      • x 15
    47. @light_hearted wow. And here we believed that the extortion of additional shipping fees was the lowest point of the entire debacle.

Now this is a ponzi scheme within a ponzi scheme with felony extortion.

This is mob behavior and cannot be accepted. You're right in that he is literally saying that he hasn't cast your delayed doll, cannot afford to do so, squandered your money, and is now attempting to extort more.

      • x 27
    48. OMG... this is crazy.....he even sells inventory? I believe those were other people's orders wTH!? People pay the ransom and still get no doll. I placed my order since 2020 oct.....:...(:...(:...(

      • x 8

    49. I read it to my husband and mentioned it felt like a hostage situation. He agreed but like that sculpt is perfect for my character. One who is a favorite of mine and even tattooed on my body. I am not worried about the money like I would happily pay 200 dollars right now so she could be shipped.

However it makes me uncomfortable to be told, want it? buy another or who knows.

Even if I did who is to say I would get it?

The Mob description is very accurate.

I have another dollshe second hand and love him but feel so conflicted currently.

      • x 4
    50. Wow, I can buy an extra..

    51. Woooooooooooow, the audacity of this guy. Ponzi scheme is he right description for what he's proposing.

      • x 9
    52. Note: any dolls purchased for this purpose are banned on DoA.
We can’t tell you what to do with your money but only your original ordered doll can be shared on this forum.

      • x 17
    53. I would love to know how he has no time, help, or money to send any dolls that are years late in being paid and ordered, but buy a second doll and suddenly he'll have time to cast/send out to someone else for casting and pack and send two dolls. That seems like a lot more time and effort hmmmmm... almost like he just wants money....

      • x 28
    54. I decided to send an email about my order from 2019, in curiosity of whether or not he'll even respond.

      • x 6
    55. Wow, what an absolute criminal this guy is!

      • x 10
    56. I just got this same email last night. I thought it was a response to an email I sent him last week. But several other people, including someone who he has not replied to since 2022, have gotten this exact same email. DO NOT SEND THIS MAN ANOTHER PENNY. There are so many warning signs.

He says, just like with the "pay additional shipping", that it was a suggestion by a customer to get people to buy a second doll to fund the shipping of the delayed doll. I want to assume to build confidence in the rest of us waiting that it's an acceptable idea if someone else is willing to do it. There probably is no customer who suggested such poppycock either time.

Then if he has no staff, who is going to be the liaison between Dollshe and his outsourced shop? That work seems to be beneath him. And he still needs to pay that shop for their work. So if he can't afford to pay his staff to ship one doll if extra shipping was paid by a customer, how the hell is he affording to ship two??? As someone else said on a Discord, his math ain't mathing.

His lack of business skills is not his customers' problem. And he needs to do whatever is needed, like ship product his damn self, to give them what they have paid for. Why is he not solving this problem by, I don't know, taking out a loan, taking some of his personal sh*t to a pawn shop, or doing more of that other work he engages in to acquire more money to solve his problem??? Don't make us pay more to fix his issue. And anyone who has paid extra I can almost guarantee he has not kept records to know who he needs to reimburse, as he said he would, for extra shipping. If he is the sole employee now, his bookkeeping is most likely as scattered and in disarray as those pictures of his studio with boxes and bodies of dolls just everywhere.

    57. This guy is completely shady at this point! There's no trusting him! This is just completely off the rails. Every time something new comes up about Dollshe, it keeps getting worse!

    58. just got my email ....

"In reality, there is no way to deliver delayed BJDs without additional orders.

For a year and a half, DollShe Craft's PayPal account has been suspended and she hasn't earned a single dollar.
It's not that I didn't make a single dollar, but rather I lost hundreds of millions. In the meantime, I had to cover numerous expenses on my own, including employee salaries, electricity bills, studio fees, and taxes.

Many people want to order additional BJDs and receive delayed BJDs quickly.

All I can say is that I'm sorry.
      I'm sorry."

      =====================
His money is money, mine is donation:eek:? "Many people" want to order additional BJD?? whom???? WHOM???

    59. YOU "lost" hundreds of millions? No. Your customers did. You stole hundreds of millions.

(note: a million Korean won is equivalent to about one thousand US dollars)
