@sahoma that is infuriating if true. I suppose there's a... slim... chance he might be confusing another blue Diana who was intended to come with an EN head? Hopefully BJDivas will offer some illumination. Sending a batch of orders at the end of the month seems normal and acceptable, but if they wait 11 months into a 12 month layaway that is NOT what was advertised. I wonder if your order was forgotten somehow and they realized only when it was nearly paid up, and in the scramble to submit it your EN head was forgotten. But of course now I wonder if my own order was truly sent in July 2019. After all, so many 2019 orders have shipped but there's no sign of mine. I was seeing no light messaging BJDivas asking for news every 3-6 months. So I messaged Dollshe myself back in September. I was surprised to get a response, but they asked me for a four-digit order number from BJDivas so they would know which batch of orders included mine. Divas then, of course, refused to give me said number despite my pleading, saying they used to give them out but it caused many problems and much confusion for them and Dollshe. I was very angry. I can appreciate them wanting to streamline operations as their profit margin from each order must be quite low, but I don't understand why someone who has been subjected to an extreme wait is subject to the same policy as someone who has been waiting three months. This is why I went through a dealer (along with layaway so my order would be submitted sooner, but now I suppose we can't even take that for granted!), so that if this exact situation occured they would do everything in their power to get me my doll. Granted, I don't know what the interactions look like between them and Dollshe, but if the email did not include the words or phrases 'desperate', 'infuriated', 'feeling scammed' or 'never ordering from you again and will keep discouraging others from doing so' and point out exactly which order includes mine, then my point was not made. Anyway, according to Dollshe in said email, "... Divas receives orders for dolls from customers and orders more than 50 at a time. It is very difficult to find your doll in that spell. There are so many orders for the same doll. And, for example, a customer orders through Divas in January, but Divas orders us 5-6 months later." I need an aggressive shrug emoticon here. Look, I don't really care who lied at this point, I just want my damn doll.
@sahoma So I went through that with Divas vs Dollshe -- Dollshe said that my King Corey wasn't ordered in Aug 2020 when I placed my order with Divas but was actually ordered in 2021 and they couldn't 100% verify it was mine (but is probable since it's a more rare order in a darker skin tone). But Divas said they placed the order in Aug 2020. So I honestly didn't know who to believe but I don't think any info I've gotten is 100% accurate -- honestly the relationship between the two companies is so bad that verifying details on orders is always problematic. I went through similar issues with my Amanda and Ausley order through Divas as well. Dollshe couldn't corroborate Divas and vice versa. It was a mess.
when multiple people are staring down 3+ year waits, DollShe and Divas quibbling over 5 months seems a bit beside the point - making people wait 30 months for something that DollShe has shown that they CAN get out the door in 3 months is ridiculous, so even if the dealer took 5 months to submit the order, it still should have gotten to the customer in 8 months. . .
I forgot to update here, but around Nov.17 I too requested a cancellation on my order that would've hit the 3rd waiting anniversary this month. I didn't often ask BJDivas for updates like some of you here since your frequent updates showed me enough that it was probably just adding redundant bulk to their inbox when Dollshe clearly isn't making any progress. My cancellation was confirmed quickly and I even got my refund in within two weeks which I didn't expect since I heard Mr. Dollshe is stingy with refunding in a timely manner. Anyway, I'm glad to not be sitting on my hands anymore with the company and I wish all luck to anyone still waiting.
My cancellation is 1 day after yours and no refund still :/ I really do wonder how anything is processed, on either side. It feels completely random!
We're still waiting on 2 dolls and a head from May 2019. Requested a refund on October 6. Asked for an update beginning of November and on November 7 Divas said they haven't gotten it and would remind Dollshe. No news, so asked for an update a couple of days ago. Will update whenever they reply.
My Dollshe Neo arrived last Tuesday. I ordered him on the 30th of April this year when he was just a picture on the sculptures screen. His face had been designed, but the body not yet. I count this as a very fast delivery. I got him in Pure Avatar Blueskin . He is stunning!
BJDivas brought up the possibility of a refund in my latest update request. I'm waiting to hear back on what their estimated timeline is for a refund and then deciding on where to go from there. I really would like my doll (mostly because I was planning on using his body for a floating head) but I'm feeling really discouraged. I was ok with a two year wait but three years is just too much.
I've officially hit my 3 year anniversary for my fashion sized Khan! THREE. WHOLE. YEARS. And there's no update, or estimated arrival, or anything.
Per BJDivas when I asked on how long it took to receive a refund, "I'm afraid it's not certain. Even if he approves right away, he doesn't send the funds for a while. When we get enough funds from him for refunds in general we're able to forward the refund, but since that's dependent on him sending us the funds, it's not predictable." Oh and I guess that the refund will be minus PayPal fees? I paid via layaway so calculating that ought to be a treat. I...I can't even anymore. I completely understand that they're in a tough spot as a dealer to a notoriously difficult artist but this is ridiculous.
Like everyone else on this board, I am waiting for dolls ordered some time ago. I ordered Fashion Lisa and Maya in December 2021. Six times before them I've gotten dolls from Dollshecraft so I knew the score. But, last May on impulse I ordered Fashion Supermodel Neo. I don't know why. I liked it, so I ordered. 'Nuff said. Well, after 7 months, he actually came in Tuesday's post. I was certain that the other two would arrive first. I am debating whether to post my first ever box opening thread, but I don't know. ...
My Dollshe Erica Snow 65cm arrived yesterday. She is more beautiful than I thought. Dollshe Erica Snow I start sew and make wig to her soon. Its going to be a New Years eve party dress in gold. Dollshe Erica Snow My Diana arrived some month ago. Still sitting and check her camera. 20221208_112113
@Richie Well, he hardly had any orders because of all the delays in the last year. People stopped falling for his sales because it became known how long the waiting times are.The only way people would keep ordering was to release new dolls and offer some kind of delivery guarantee for them. New dolls like David, Neo and the new king sizes with the collaboration heads are delivered faster. Which means people who are waiting for older dolls, especially those who haven't been cast yet, will be waiting even longer - much longer!
WOW I'm hearing some of you had cancellations and refunds? I have been asking for refunds since year 2 and dollshe has flat out REFUSED every single time even though they also told me repeatedly they hadn't even begun my doll. (this came after lying and telling me a few more weeks MULTIPLE times when I was genuinely just asking for a real honest estimate) Today I received a message saying my doll will ship in a couple weeks (yeah right) but they need me to pay an extra $60 to send it in the normal box because "shipping rates have gone up". Well yeah... you've made me wait almost 3 years that's on you. I told them to send the darn thing unstrung I'm pretty much not planning on keeping the doll at this point anyway the company has left a bad bad taste in my mouth and asking me for more money when I already think they are scamming me and stealing my first payment killed any small sliver of excitement I still had about him. I honestly don't even believe I'm getting my doll. I think they stole my cash and now they want more (maybe to help pay for the refunds they issued to a few of you that he didn't flat out say no to)
OK, here he is! His hands and feet are not as big as they may seem in photos. He has a very different physique than the other Dollshe male sculpts. Neo has a very handsome face. DOLLSHE SUPERMODEL NEO
He looks awesome @Richie ! Though there's something there that I can't shake off. The fact that he came in a branded box with foam and all the little baggies and whatnot... Does this mean he has still had the ability to package dolls properly, but he's been opting to just send people loose boxes of doll parts just because? I guess he wants people who make newer doll orders to feel like he's "reliable" with quality.
I mean, this seems incredibly on brand for DollShe. People who paid his ridiculously low sales prices for dolls are clearly not a priority for him as customers, which I get, to some degree, but since All his dolls were sold at those prices for what, 2-3 years, it's not like anyone buying a doll from him during that time could pay anything else. Unfortunately, punishing his customers for his own poor business decisions also seems very on brand for Dollshe...
Those who are getting their dolls in proper shipping boxes are paying dearly for said boxes And presentations: shipping on the 78 emperor is about $224. Used to be around $96 for large dolls , before the pandemic.
I am still waiting for a doll from 2018. And made other orders after that as well. All of which I'm regretting at this point. I requested refunds for everything lalmost 2 years ago? I have gotten 1 refund (the very cheapest doll, a 6g Rosa at $190) I despise this whole thing. I'm frustrated at Dollshe for the whole mess, and also feeling pretty upset at BJDivas. I have almost $3000.00 sitting in limbo and I have no idea if I'll ever see dolls or money. I'm upset to see him sending out dolls that are new, while old orders continue to just sit. I am in my FIFTH YEAR of waiting for Dollshe dolls. Which is beyond absurd. I would absolutely never buy another Dollshe doll anywhere but second hand. And going months and months without any updates at all is just getting so tiresome. After about the second year of this I basically stopped doing anything with my dolls. I have purchased a few other dolls on the marketplace in an effort to respark my interest. But I fear that this ridiculousness with Dollshe has honestly ruined the hobby for me.
Just received the email below from DollShe — in reference to an order from July 2019!!! Can you spot the lie? ********** Ordered doll #5028-We will contact you when it is completed. We sincerely apologize for not being able to send shipping and guide emails for so long. After January 2020, dolls cannot be assembled and shipped due to shipping cost increases. This is because the rates for shipping to the US have more than tripled. If you know how to assemble a doll, can I ship it in a small box? Please tell me how to ship it. And if you have any changes to your address or phone number, please send us a message. Have a wonderful day. Sincerely yours, DollShe Craft
Hmm, didn't I just read here that newer orders\ dolls are being shipped in their brand box all strung up? So I believe there's the lie you mentioned.
I wonder what would happen if you responded and attached recent box opening pictures of his other customers receiving fully strung and well packaged dolls. . .
@Girrl I understand the sentiment. I am also still playing the waiting game. Please do not use my pics for that. It would not be fair to ME!!! Or, anyone else for that matter.
Dollshe Erica Snow Just got Erica Snow oriental skin 65 cm, home from Dollshe. Strunged. I payed extra for strung and box. But it is the shipping that is more expensive now, after pandemy. Next one Leo, I going to take unstrunged.
Just decided to send Dollshe screenshots about my BJDivas orders. They basically turned everything back around on BJDivas. Said one of the orders was cancelled (which it might have been. Since I asked to cancel a couple. But I never received a refund, so I assumed it had not been cancelled) And the Van from 2018 they said "there are NO unshipped orders from 2018. So BJDivas has it" And they also said that BJDivas was LATE posting orders from when they were originally made. Which I'm not sure I believe. And all of it was ended with basically: "Oops haha. That sucks. Hope you get your dolls from BJDIVAS" I'm so over this...
@Acruv16 I did the same thing and got the same story. I was also told my order wasn't placed properly and parts were missing, which makes me really worried about getting a full refund! I am SO over this. Isn't the point of a dealer that they handle the details and follow-ups with the maker instead of you having to do it? After the new year I'm going to be emailing Divas again about my refund, hoping they'll poke and prod Dollshe about it until I get SOMETHING.
This is late, but we got our refund for the remainder of our May 2019 order (Rey Lewis and Bermann + EN Bermann head). But, it was minus the PayPal fees, so anyone who does get a refund won't get a full refund. Divas said they had gotten enough from Dollshe to refund both dolls, then after asking why it wasn't the full amount they said the refund was from them (and not Dollshe). Along with some other discrepancies (some unrelated to that order), we suggest taking everything Divas says with a grain of salt. Honestly, trusting Dollshe more than them at this point, which sounds kinda crazy I know. Plan to post in the review section eventually, just need to get screenshots and stuff together. @sahoma Ask for screenshots when you do (with date/time in them). Cause, honestly, we stopped believing that they actually even checked in with Dollshe whenever we asked for updates.
Asking for screenshots is a great idea. I'm definitely going to be doing that from now on. Edit: I just emailed Dollshe back and told them I want my money or my dolls. Once I hear back from Divas I'll be telling them the same thing. If I had the money to at this point, I'd probably try to get a lawyer or something involved. Though I don't know how easy that would be considering the layaways, and the time that has passed.
I just got a similar email. Mine said the doll is complete, inspection and packaging will take about 4-5 days, and shipping cost/assembly has increased (they want to charge me $34.73 extra). I responded telling Dollshe I’ll just take the doll not assembled and for whatever price. I’ve been waiting since 2019, have never had a doll and bought mine because she was the one I really wanted, but boy, oh boy, did I learn my lesson lol. I don’t even care at this point what it takes. I’d just want my doll haha
I feel like I've been posting here a ridiculous amount, I apologize. I got an email back from Dollshe saying that there is nothing that can be done. And I have to go through BJDivas. I asked them about my Khan, which I had originally ordered in honey espresso ebony, and then changed to Oriental. They said that they only knew it was mine because they don't get orders for Khan in that color. They have him changed to Oriental. BJDivas received a Full set Khan in Oriental, and told me I couldn't have him because he wasnt the "color I had ordered" But Dollshe literally had that color on file for my order. I am furious. I would prefer the ebony because it was more expensive and I haven't received any kind of refund for the difference, but I would have accepted the Oriental. Knowing that he was AT BJDIvas and they wouldn't let me have him makes me never want to order from them again either.
@Acruv16 So...BJDivas changed your Khan order to Oriental for you, then said you didn't order Oriental? Or did you make the change directly through Dollshe?
BJDivas changed my order to Oriental. And then told me I didn't order Oriental and said they couldn't give him to me.
Do you still have the correspondence with Divas? I'd definitely send them screenshots of it (and what Dollshe said about Khan), even though he's no longer available. Since they apparently sold him, for more than what he likely cost, they should definitely refund you from their own pocket.
I should still have the emails. I just messaged BJDivas and expressed my frustration. I'm waiting to hear back. I bought the Khan in honey espresso ebony for 600??? In a full set. The espresso ebony was an additional 170 or something. It was a lot. A Khan in the orientatal on the sale I received would have only been 400 or so. They just sold him for 850.
Definitely send them screenshots if they try playing dumb. Yeeeah...they seem to jack up the prices, especially on the Dollshe items. Guess they gotta get refund money somehow...
I will as soon as I hear back from them. They were pretty obtuse about me trying to get the Oriental Khan when I asked them about him originally... I don't feel like they'll be any better about it this time. I don't fault them for trying to recoup money on the Dollshe orders. I realize Dollshe has been horrible. But just ... The way they handled it was so disappointing. I could understand if it had been any other color. Or anything else different. But it was the exact doll in Oriental. *Sigh* I basically begged them to send him to me. And they just wouldn't. Said it was policy to not change out orders. Which is just so aggravating since I had already changed the dang skintone in an effort to get my dolls faster. Sorry. I'm just feeling particularly upset about it right now. I had kind of made peace with it, but just hearing from Dollshe that they HAD changed the skintone is just infuriating.
If they had kept better records, you would have your Khan and they wouldn't have to deal with an upset customer. :/ Honestly, all the issues with Divas makes me wonder just how much of everything is Dollshe's fault. Dollshe's no saint of course, but just makes me wonder if they're as bad as Divas has been painting them. There's a lot from behind the scenes that we'll never know. You have every right to be upset, I definitely would be. They pretty much sold a doll you had already (over) paid for. :/
Thankyou! She came fast. I ordered her from Dollshe 2022-07-22 And she arrived to my door 2022,-12-15 Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow Dollshe Erica Snow
My feeling with Divas is that they weren't entirely prepared to run their own business on God Of War mode, as in, they planned to play on casual, but the real world, unlike video games, doesn't let you choose your setting. So when things go poorly it's unfortunate, but not intentional (even if foreseeable). DollShe, on the other hand, has been yanking his customers around For Years at this point, and when things go poorly, it's 100% because he doesn't give two sh!ts about the people whose money he's taken. Divas being disorganized and in over their head is great for him because it allows him to lay the blame for all this hot mess on someone else, when, as far as I'm concerned, 90%+ of the fault is on him for taking so damn long to ship paid for dolls in the first place. @Acruv16 - Divas absolutely should have held that Kahn the second you brought it to their attention that it was probably the one you ordered, at the very least until they had double checked and were absolutely sure it wasn't (with hard documentation to back that position up). As both you and Divas are in the US, and depending on if Divas is located in the same state as you and what they sold the doll to a 3rd party for, they could be looking at some seriously stacking criminal charges, especially if the argument can be made that this is a pattern of behavior with them ^cough^cough^wirefraud, larceny^cough^cough^
Honestly, that's a pretty accurate sounding analogy. Definitely think they bit off more than they can chew. I'll give Dollshe this, every direct order I've done I've received, even if some did take longer than they should have (none went 3+ years like one of the Divas ones). I'd really like to know what actually happened between company and dealer, but I don't trust either enough to fully believe their stories. With Divas, there have been too many "oh that part of your order suddenly arrived" when raising concerns about delays (not just Dollshe). Happened with our May 2019 Dollshe order. Requested refund, one of the dolls "just arrived". It just felt kinda suspicious whenever it happened.
I believe the Kahn had come with someone else's order that was cancelled or something. But that has happened a couple times with other dolls and they literally messaged me and told me "hey this is exactly like the doll you ordered. We're giving you first dibs if you want it. Since you've waited so long." So I was very much expecting the same thing, and was quite shocked at their response. They just threw the Kahn on their "in stock" pile. Where he sat for weeks until they knocked $50.00 off the price tag. I wouldn't even know where to begin trying to go about pursuing legal assistance. Though as of late it has crossed my mind. Since they've had more than $2000.00 of mine for literal years now... Edit: I just heard back from BJDivas, and was told that the body was not the same. (The pose, rather than the pose+) and also that because of changes in staff they hadn't realized that a change in skintone had been requested. They basically said "it's your choice to believe us, or Dollshe" I'm still immensely dissatisfied with the answers I haven't been given. And honestly after waiting so long I don't care If the body was different by a couple of joints. They could have kept the extra money as far as I'm concerned. I'm sick and tired of not hearing anything from BJDivas unless I message them begging for updates.
I am really sorry for what happened, @Acruv16 . If possible, you can request the pictures of the doll which was sold, but if they replied that it was a very similar one, there's little that can be done about it. Just don't stop asking for news, updates and info about your order because both parts should have a digital waitlist and archive. I can't imagine going on without them, and they cannot lie about it without legal consequences. I have not ordered through a dealer, and it's two years for my Maya, almost two also for Marco. However, I have received this mail today: Spoiler: Marco orders updates There are changes to the doll you ordered. We are replicating the Marco you ordered. I think there are many people who don't know what I've announced before, so I'm emailing each person before casting. Marco is only made with OE heads. It is possible to order Marco OE head 2 instead of Marco EN head and SA head. Other OE head types from the 28M line can be ordered as an alternative. For example, Marco OE heads, Ray Lewis OE heads, and David Kuncci OE heads can be ordered to replace EN and SA heads. Below is a notice about the reason for discontinuing the EN head and SA head. https://www.dollshecraft.com/only-oe-heads-are-manufactured-other-version-heads-are-discontinued/ Thank you for waiting for a long time. We sincerely apologize for the long delay in delivery. We are hiring more staff. We will resolve the delivery delay issue as soon as possible. Basically, this means that Marco EN and SA heads will not be produced, and this is likely to happen with any other doll which was advertised as sketch group order (Maya, Carl Mars, Lisa, Teo). Perhaps Leo is the only one to have all special heads. So customers who have received this email should write back to select alternatives for the items that aren't going to be produced.
I got a similar email this morning about the body I chose. "The 28M body L2 and L4 have a very small order rate, so they are not used for a long time after making the silicone mold, so they are often discarded early due to the end of the life of the silicone mold. The Cloning Center says it can't continue cloning. It is thought that the order came in without changing the shopping mall settings. Please choose between L1 and L3 versions." I do not believe them, but at this point I'm just tired
I emailed Divas about this because my King Corey order is on the L4 body. I am willing change my body (still the 28M body of course) if that will get me my doll because I absolutely cannot wait to be done with the shenanigans. King Corey is my last Dollshe that I'm waiting for. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly....
I received an email from BJDivas!!! My doll I ordered in October 2019 is ready to ship!! OMG It is finally coming. Who knew this day would come
Do you received your doll since your post ? I'm waiting for my Lisa since February 2021 and I'm here to get more information about the shipping of this model. If anyone has any, please let me know!
Actually, this is GREAT! I have selected Lisa and Diana as my alternatives for the Marco Special heads that aren't going to be produced. Maybe I will get my Marco order in some weeks. I love Lisa. I went for Maya in the end because I needed a smaller body frame, but she was one of the dolls I considered. I am looking forward to your updates!
Happy 1st year purchaseverssary to me! Maybe I'll see my doll in the next year? This purchase will be my one and only from dollshe ever. Just sayin'
I emailed BJDivas again and they messaged Dollshe on my behalf. According to them, Dollshe says my order will ship 'this month'. However, Divas included the caveat Dollshe often tells them this sort of thing and doesn't hold to it. Even if my final month turns into an additional three-plus, pathetically that's still the best--well, only--news on this front in 3.5 years, so I'll take it.
So, I'm still waiting on my order from 2018. Emailed Divas to find out if Dollshe has acknowledged or confirmed the change in size I requested in April 2022 (from a size that was never made to one that has molds already). Last I heard in October, there was no news, but it didn't sound like anyone had reached out to Dollshe to ask about my order, just "we haven't heard anything." My confidence is really low right now and I'm just tired. This whole fiasco has pretty much squashed my interest in BJDs.
HE HAS ARRIVED! I am now freed from the Dollshe wait. Good luck everyone who’s still waiting!! Spoiler: Naked Fashion Adonis
I am shocked that people are still waiting years later for dolls. I cancelled my last order with Dollshe years ago. While on this topic, I haven't seen an IRL picture of that muscled David doll. All this time since the reveal, not one doll in anyone's possession.
Post # 2270 of this thread has real life picture if the “ superhero “ muscle David , whose owner received him last Oct/Nov. So the doll does exist.
So I found shoes that will fit the 72 cm superhero david. His foot length is 130mm, which is 13 cm. I went over to AliExpress and looked up “baby sneakers”. And while MOST were big fat chubby sneakers that looked like baby shoes I actually found 5 or 6 pairs that are 13-13.5 cm and they actually look like adult shoes. About 8-14 dollars a pair. I’m going to order them in my next check and I’ll let you know what the result is! That was mine. I have him. Love love love him. They did eventually send me replacement hands and due to the lousy customer service i got (accusations of the damaged hand being my own fault), Mr Dollshe himself said he would be giving me a free pair of the 72 cm jointed hands that are currently in production for this doll. However he said it would be about a month. It’s been a few now. And I keep getting excuses about the hands being finished. So something tells me since it was an apology “gift” I will likely never see them.
Since he has yet to show even the 3D models of the jointed hands, I doubt he is anywhere near casting an actual set of them yet. I wouldn’t give up completely. Yet.
