Dollshe Waiting Room 12

Mar 12, 2020

    1. I couldn't wait any more and tried my tracking number. It is a number that works. The doll really is on its way.

    2. Thank you to everyone who jumped in for troubleshooting for BJDivas. They responded to my email and it's all being sorted now. ;)

    3. WELP After almost ordering her last year, waffling on it, and then seeing her on sale with all of her accessories, I took the plunge and ordered a Diana from BJDivas. That price was just too good to pass up!

      • x 4
    4. I’m with you on that... I’m trying not to get an Amanda... anyone here know if honey resin dyes well?

      • x 2
    5. Dollshe says my girl should be delivered in 2-3 weeks.

I do not necessarily believe this, but if she is... well, that would be about in time for my birthday. So. That would be kind of cool.

      • x 8
    6. Alas, here I finally am. I bought the Amanda...

      • x 7
    7. Welcome. Let's all weep hopelessly for the endless wait ahead. :...(

      :XD:

      • x 5
    8. if It’s less that 3 years, it’ll be done during this degree. I think that sounds reasonable

      • x 5
    9. I've reached a point in my wait where I'm not sure if I even want the doll anymore. I intended him to be a fantasy painted version of the bernard I already have but 14 months for a spare feels...Too long...When there's no end in sight

      • x 2
    10. Honestly... this. I'm hoping the excitement over the doll and his character return if he ever shows up, but right now I'm just over the whole thing. This was the first time I have ever ordered from Dollshe, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will NEVER do it again. I had heard about the long waits, but felt kind of safe taking a chance because right before I ordered my Arsene I'd seen several people get the same doll within very reasonable time frames. If it was a delay because of the pandemic, I would never, ever hold it against any doll company...but this is obviously just business as usual for Dollshe even when times are normal. My wait was already out of hand before the pandemic hit, and so many have waited literally multiple years to get a doll long before any of these events were a factor.

For myself personally, I don't care how good the quality is...now that I've experienced the infamous Dollshe Wait, this is just not something I'm gonna volunteer for more than once. I understand custom made, and I'm 100% willing to wait within reason, but I have a number of beautiful, high quality dolls that were sent to me within just a few months (and in Iplehouse's case, only 2 weeks after my doll choice ebony resin order!) so I know it absolutely doesn't need to take THIS long. This has nothing to do with how long it takes to make the doll and everything to do with how the dollmaker is managing his orders and workflow, and I'm just not here for it.

      • x 8
    11. Does shipping really take that long?? :oI had no idea now im scared but prepared to wait I guess.

    12. @NamelessPierrot I am feeling the same way about about the Adonis I ordered last year.

    13. Glad to know I'm not alone in this
I actually still love the concept and the character and I definitely cannot do it with the current bernard as...I also love the concept. But I'm def feeling really put out over it right now, I'm afraid if it's ready to ship right now, I'll hate it, but I also don't want to have to keep counting months, either. I feel very stuck

      • x 1
    14. The wait is definitely going to be longer after all that's happening :pout: I've only been waiting for Arsene for 6 months and I don't think i'm even close to getting a shipping notice, that's why I asked for the longest layayway possible for my Saint. I honestly didn't know how bad the wait times could get but I ordered anyways because Arsene is probably my favorite male sculpt, for Saint i'm not sure i'll be as patient hahaha is trying to distract myself from this by buying another doll a bad thing? :XD:

      • x 1
    15. Seems pretty par for the course ahaha. Last time I had a dollshe wait, I ordered a few things second hand while I waited. I ordered a whole 3 days ago, so I anticipate I'll be here for a long time. Do you have characters planned for Saint and Arsene?

      • x 1
    16. I will have 2 Arsenes when they ever come so I will need to sell a head, most likely the new oriental resin one. May 18th will be a year.

      • x 2
    17. I'll be up to a year for my first dollshe order (of 8) in a couple days. I'm hoping for at least ONE to come in the next couple months, but I'll also be okay if they don't. I'm having an "Aaaaaa I need a new doll to paint cause it's Spring now!" moment though. . . so hopefully I can keep from putting anyone else on layaway. . . cause I know they'd take a hundred years to get here too so I should just wait for the 8 I have coming. Stop staring at me, Saint!

      • x 1
    18. I can totally get the dip in enthusiasm. I think I'm starting to feel it a little myself and it's only been a year for me. I'm so tempted to ask about the status but I think I'll refrain for now.

      • x 1
    19. I joined the dollshe bandwagon last march hopefully he ends up in my doorstep this year.. Wishes might come true right?

      • x 4
    20. Well today is supposed to be the day! I bet it won't happen. My mail carrier never brings package to the door. Only slips.

      • x 5
    21. I’m back! After taking an order from Dollshe 3 months ago. Then I tried to forget about my order until “that day” comes. I think spam email for them don’t help everything goes smoother than before, so just relax. Because I took the discount price so I understand that they had a lot of orders these days. On another hand, they get the order from Dollstown as well. It’s make sense for the waiting time of us. I also love 26F body but I’m afraid that I will not order another doll from Dollshe until I receive my first Bermann. Well, just in case I need saving that money for another important thing likes macro camera lens.

    22. I'm getting pretty grumpy since someone else got their Rey Lewis earlier this month yet mine is still processing..and they ordered after me... :|
      * goes on Dollshe * glares at order * ...where's my doll?? * flops* Ug. I mean I knew what I was getting into... but it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the one that surpassed my order for whatever reason...

I'm obviously not mad at the person since they have no control over Dollshe...

      • x 4
    23. @Darkwingchick That happened to me when I was waiting for my Rey Lewis.
It boggles the mind the way Dollshe's mind works.

      • x 3
    24. @Darkwingchick that's disappointing... Was it the same skin tone? I have the feeling, he first makes all of one color and only then goes to the next one, and I think it proceeds from light to darker.

      • x 3
    25. Same. I'm at over a year and there was a rash of Rey Lewis' sent out, even in the colour I ordered and it got my hopes up a bit.

To be fair, I forgot I ordered him until then.

      • x 3
    26. Paid off my Arsene layaway. I’m going to make a prediction! It will arrive February 1, 2022. 20 months seems reasonable. Right?

      • x 4
    27. Alright! 2 years :doh poorly people who get Dollshe obsession but it worth it :abambi::abambi::abambi: . That's the reason we are here sob for the waiting room LOL.

      • x 2
    28. I ordered Pure Oriental and their's was Pure Copper?

Why is it always Rey Lewis's?? :(

      • x 1
    29. i will join this waiting room.
i have a Diana, 2 mini (Adonis and David) and 18m Adonis. still no word.
*sits and waits* on the other hand i am also waiting for a Soom Hyperon, a 72cm body from Resinsoul, a Secondhand Venitu and a April story girl. i wonder who will arrive 1st

      • x 4
    30. Wow! When they are all there it will be sooo amazing!

      • x 3
    31. In one of the messages I got from Dollshe they told me that they only start making a doll when its all paid off, I was surprised, because they website says otherwise, but yeah

      • x 2
    32. I wish they could update the website then! it's super misleading. :/
but I mean, they also don't state anywhere that it can take up to 2 years to ship so............

      • x 3
    33. That’s also different if you do a layaway via a dealer. The dealer pays in full and then you pay them back, so they start when you order, as far as I know!

      • x 2
    34. Seconding this, but it also varies from dealer to dealer. It's way more risk for the company/dealer to pay in full for you upfront so it's normal policy for orders to not be started until you're fully paid, but some dealers take on that risk. Be sure to ask beforehand!

Edit: Also wanted to note that it's a good idea to ask other people that did layaways if the dealer actually did this, as I've known people who were blatantly lied to. Not going to go into specifics but one of the said guilty parties' name started with S and the other with L.

      • x 1
    35. Yup! I read somewhere else and similarly got the information like that. But did anyone try to compare the shipping time of layaway from Dollshe and from Other Dealers? I’m super curious right now. Because I really love Amanda 26F. If the dealer pay full and I pay back by layaway, oh my gosh I think it's double amazing deals.

      • x 1
    36. Same here! Just use normal logic to think about this. What's benefit the dealer get one they lend you their money? Paying full price for us in 1 year long without any dividend. That investment is a bad idea for them :roll:What if someone gives up the layaway they get his money and sale the doll later? Or I misunderstood this economic logic. Well, I’m super curious.

    37. Well, I’ve done several layaways directly with Dollshe that took anywhere between 9 months to thirteen/seventeen months before I got the dolls. 3 months was the actual layaway payment timeframe.

I just received one of my orders from BjDivas . It was for a 12 month layaway, March 2019-February 2020,and received notice that it my order was here almost exactly a month after I finished the layaway!

I don’t think there is a difference between ordering direct or through. Bjdivas, regarding shipping times.
However, it was a lot less stressful to do the 12 months layaway , instead the three month and then wait forever after paying the full amount.

I got friendly layaway reminders, with ample time to pay them, and I did not have all of my money tied up for the 12 month period!

additionally, shipping was only from Bjdivas to me, which in my case was from Milwaukee to the Chicago western suburbs. The total shipping was under $20 , instead of the $90-110 I had to pay for shipping from South Korea.

All in all a good a good ,stress-less situation.

mat least from my point of view

    38. Thank you so much Maitalia. Now I feel relaxed and will think about use BJDivas, I had an account from them along time ago but didn't try last time for my Bermann. Such a waste of good opportunity :wiggle

    39. I´d like to order a Diana but I am really against waiting more than a year for a doll, I really don´t know how you guys/girls have the patience / and courage / to wait for so long and keep wanting the doll after the long wait x.x
I am spying on the marketplace for her, I wish they would stop making those offers and work on their actual orders. To be honest I´d rather pay the doll full price and get it 4-5 months later.

    40. I don't know about other dealers' layaway policy, but I have done several layaways with BJDivas. It has happened that my items came in before I finished paying off the layaway. I get a lovely note telling me my doll is ready to ship and whatever my balance is if I want to pay it off early. So, evidently they did start on my dolls before I finished paying for them.

    41. I'm with you on this, I'd also be happier to pay the full price and get the doll in a more reasonable time frame. Unfortunately from what I've seen and heard, Dollshe had a habit of taking just as long without the sales and with the full prices... I myself was lured into finally ordering because of the sale but also because I'd seen one or two people get their dolls from him in only a handful of months right before I ordered and thought maybe he was getting his act together. Sadly, it was just a fluke...

I guess I'm lucky that Arsene is the only Dollshe sculpt I've ever really felt personally drawn to owning, because I definitely won't be doing this again!

    42. Well my doll finally showed up today, after supposedly Monday as a delivery date, then arriving in town Wed, then Out for Delivery all day yesterday, only to change to "arrived at destination PO" last night, then again this morning, and finally delivering about 20 minutes ago. The actual Dollshe wait was not as bad as trying follow USPS tracking this week.

Anyway, doll arrived safely, he's perfect, no hands were damaged, neither head I plan on using fit the body so I've got a lot of modding in my future, head will go in the head drawer, but other than it's going to work great! I love the way it poses....all those joints were just what I was after (now ask me again how much I like it after I restring and still can't get him to work well lol).

Good luck with your waits all! There is light at the end of the tunnel, just know it's still going to take anywhere from 6 months to a couple years (standard Dollshe.).

    43. I ordered through BJDivas, they told me Dollshe starts working on my order as soon as I start with the layayway, but that could be a lie from Dollshe, BJDivas did tell me Dollshe is currently taking over a year to send doll orders so I'm already prepared to wait at least a year for my Arsene or maybe 4 years idk... What I still don't understand is why I ordered another doll from them :XD: but I think that's it for me, I was thinking about getting Diana but probably won't now :sweat maybe after my two boys get here I'll reconsider!

      • x 2
    44. I ordered a Saint through BJDivas on a 12-month layaway last May so it’s gonna be a whole year already and I’ve yet to hear any news from Dollshe  I did end up asking BJDivas for my order number a few days ago so I could bug Dollshe about my order in hopes of getting an update. No replies yet :sweat

    45. For me, I’m the one who love realistic doll style that Dollshe provides. They captured the most natural figures. I used to think that I couldn’t stand the waiting time and bought another doll then received him the next 1 month (Luts get a real quick shipping service, I appreciate them deeply of my heart). Unfortunately, after receiving my doll I’m still looking for a human feeling, so I came back here. I have no choice but love their body :frownyblush:

      • x 3
    46. I'm with you, I'm just not into dolls that don't look real. I've always been that way with porcelain too. I want my dolls to look like Renaissance sculptures with joints. As soon as I saw Amanda, I knew she was the doll I wanted.

      • x 4
    47. I'm on the same boat, my second doll is a Saint I'm getting with a 12 month layaway as well haha I think i'm gonna do the same with both orders as soon as i finish paying, I don't wanna bother BJDivas, they're super sweet :D

      • x 2
    48. Aha they really are! :aheartbea I always feel bad these days whenever they apologise for their delayed reply to my emails. Totally not their fault, what with being busy post-move and all!

      • x 2
    49. Payment #5 out of 12 done! Anyone know what pants will fit a 24M body? I've asked before but never got an answer. I just know that EID bottoms won't work.

      • x 2
    50. In only a couple of months I will be up to 2 years waiting for my Dollshe Fashion Khan...:sigh:| I know I ordered him in pure pale tan, but c'mon, he's not a brand new sculpt.:vein

      • x 4
    51. That makes me really worried about my pale tan bernard...:shudder

      • x 1
    52. @NamelessPierrot Sorry to make you worry! I think Bernard is a more popular sculpt? Don't quote me on that though. Dollshe has been all over the place with orders placed lately. Some receive them quick, others not. I'm just frustrated.:sigh

Glad I didn't get clothes for that body right away. I am just now looking seriously into it.:sweat

    53. Hi! I would love to order a 61cm Diana and a 65cm Amanda in copper oriental... Do you know if that we pay in full the wait is shorter? Bc I don't want to pay in full to receive my dolls in two years..

      • x 2
    54. Hi! Hope someone tells you about "pay in full" experience. Mine is about a layaway option through BJDivas. Amanda in fresh.

I had a layaway from April 2019. Last month I finished it and recieved the letter today, that Dollshe ready to ship. They just checking adress and so on. So, will see how it will be going, but it seems for me layaway works just nice.

      • x 1
    55. Pay in full means nothing. There is nothing that makes a difference in wait time. I will be waiting a year in a week. Buying a Dollshe doll is an existential experience.

      • x 11
    56. Thanks a lot for your answers, i emailed and he told me 2 dolls is around 6 months wait, but I guess it can be a lot more haha, will think about it

      • x 2
    57. @DollInk I paid in full just about 10 months ago for ONE doll and I'm still waiting. Probably will be for quite some time longer. Like @Mahgiep said...there is nothing that makes a difference to wait time and no rhyme or reason to when the dolls arrive.

      • x 4
    58. Though I'm pretty sure ordering direct, he doesn't start until it's all paid off, right? So while you risk still having a year plus wait paying in full, it'd be even longer if you layaway through him and not through a dealer

      • x 4
    59. Well I just finished paying my 28m off so here we go into waiting.

      • x 1
    60. Don't trust him!! haha
