Dollshe ordering/wait time question

Jun 29, 2023

    1. Hi all,

I unfortunately researched this too late, but wanted to know if anybody is still having problems with dolls not arriving or arriving insanely late from Dollshe. I ordered a Diana last year around August. Their website said a 4-5month wait for production, plus the obvious shipping time to the US. But at 6 months I got a little worried, especially since I might be moving. It's over 8 months now, but previous posts have said people during covid have waited YEARS. They aren't even answering my emails (3). So I am wondering if I need to try and have PayPal or my credit card company get involved, if it is not too late. :frownyblush:

    2. Dollshe has not and most likely will not get better. I'm pretty sure your money back guarantee with PayPal has expired iirc so research your credit card company's policies to see if you fall within either. He makes lovely dolls, but I have come to the personal conclusion he's just a conman. I inserted the link for the waiting room in case you'd like to see for yourself. It's a common tactic for him to do sales specifically so he can draw you into the waiting game. /threads/dollshe-waiting-room-12.819908/

    3. @zayne I honestly believe Jesus will come back before you get your doll. That said, Diana is the most beautiful face in the universe. I waited two years and finally demanded my money back (twice), not kidding, give me my moola back. The doll, badly strung and with gate marks, arrived the next week. It was a miracle. Obviously, religion seeped into this experience, mainly because it took an act of God to get her. She’s still in her box but I know she was worth the wait and will get an exquisite face up in tones of gold and crimson (she’s dark.)

You’ll get her but you’ll have to bang on them.

      Diana. Simply Irresistible.

    4. I'm at 4.5 years now, and I honestly believe that money is gone. Poof. I can't get my money back, and all I can do is warn others.

    5. Oh my. Thanks for the responses everyone. I guess I need to rattle this guy with daily emails (that he probably just deletes) since that is all I have at my disposal. If I paid with my amex, I may get refunded through them because I've heard they are pretty good about that stuff. If not, I'm taking a loss.

I wonder how to approach the content of the emails so that he doesn't decide to not ship my order, though. Ideally I would like the doll as opposed to a refund.

    6. @zayne That’s what I decided - to hold out for Diana or take a loss. I got her at 70% off (it’s obvious he’s in a cash flow crunch). I would have paid full price. I only ordered from him because I didn’t know any better. There’s an Dollshe waiting room on DofA that is full of pain and agony, accompanied by joy akin to getting a drug fix when the doll finally arrives. Evidently he pours for other companies and his website, or whatever you call it, is a side hustle. Demand your money back, it may work.
Ah, I just saw the link in the previous post. :)

    7. I ordered my Diana from BJDivas (when they still offered them through Dollshe) and my wait is over three years and 4 months and counting. :| It's unconscionable for Dollshe to have such LONG wait times and still accept new orders.

    8. Well, I sent my fourth and final "polite" email. I read somewhere to stick to being very polite as that is the etiquette followed in Korea. I'm giving him a week to respond from the email address he has posted on Dollshe's website or from the email he has attached to his PayPal account - which he should check/read and not "accidentally" delete as he says can happen with the Dollshe email. If he doesn't let me know what's going on or prove my doll has shipped then I'm insisting he refund all of my money. After that I'm reporting him to whatever agency I can find to report his corrupt business to. If you can't run a legit business, it means you shouldn't have one. Not that it needs to be pointed out, but I am so mad.
