Dollshe Discussion - Part Fourteen

Thank you @sno4wy ! It's just a fur wig haha! I painted his sideburns so that he gets the effect of correct hair direction around the face, and the rest is strategic wig-grooming basically. No need for elaborate investments (I'm decidedly fickle when it comes to wigs, so I refuse to spend more than $35 ever). I chose a well-sewn short fur that wasn't too poofy, size 7-8 to keep it close to the skull.

Hmm - yes I think I know what you mean - the shirts I have from them all need attention and some changing before they even remotely fit. The coat my Sumner (on Dollshe m28 body) wears does fit well. And for the rest I try to make clothes myself.

My compliments for your guy - love everything about this picture - he looks amazing!

Ahhhh she's beautiful! I can't wait for mine to arrive. My order is stuck at "Packing" status for a week now, I want her shipped!!!

 

I hope everyone receiving theirs gets a free doll for the extreme wait time. Really looking forward to more arrivals and photos. Congrats everyone!

 

I’m hoping he includes the ballet feet...since they weren’t even an option when I ordered my Diana. :P

Though the shoulders/neck area look really off to me. I think Mr. Kim forgot to sculpt her a trapezius muscle.

 

Congratulations on finally receiving your Diana! She's lovely. I like her proportions, especially the head size as compared to the body. Have you tried a 26F head on Diana's body?

So, we've seen one out in the wild....I'll be more excited when we see more arriving...not a big fan of the flat feet however...but the other feet look nice. Interesting that it looks like there's a single body piece....

 

Oh, I did. Months ago, but they never bothered to respond. I’ve moved since I ordered, so when I wrote to confirm they really, really were going to send her to the right addy (I’m justifiably - I think - paranoid) they said they were shipping her next week. So I guess the mystery will be solved then. Heh.

 

I added a head on to my order so they did respond to me. I'm going on a trip in ten days. I wonder if it will get sent during the time I'm gone....that would be typical....

 

So glad those Diana's are getting released!!!

I bought a some wigs and poor Sebastian had to be my victim, since he is on a headstand. I really love the electric blue wig. Wondering who will get it, though Qori might look cool with it highlighting his gears.

I promised I'd get Jae out for a bit. He is sooooo gorgeous, I forget just how beautiful he is. His default faceup is still good but I might send him off for a more modern look. He also needs new eyes.

That's encouraging. Not sure how true it is....

I ordered the Classic Mini (55cm) back in April of this year (2018) when that size was first offered and I'm still waiting. Going into 7 months now, which sadly, isn't unusual for Dollshe.

 

Eh, seven months? My order was on packing status for seven weeks - but I did get the hands I needed last week - so I can replace the hand that broke during shipment. Now my Adonis (ordered last year in September) is on packing status. I might get him this year. My honey resin Bernard on a traditional Ausley Love body? Who knows when?

 

Yes, i’m not breaking out the celebratory drinks just yet but maybe an email or two urges Dollshe along? If I have to wait a while, i’ll wait, but i’m getting back into the hobby after being away for years and the excitement of a shipping notice, getting your first doll again, is something I treasure. The bus ride to the post office, the box opening..

 

I'd be shocked to get a shipping notice at the 7 month point from Dollshe for a new doll (which the Classic Mini is). I'd be thrilled and shocked but whatever. I'm hoping not to become a member of the 1-year Dollshe club but I'm not holding my breath on that either. If there had been another way to get what I wanted (Saint in espresso ebony on the new 55cm body) that didn't involve the insane wait times of Dollshe, I'd have been all over that like a dirty shirt. I obviously have a well developed masochistic streak.

 

We really are at the mercy of dollshe aren’t we? The sculpts are so wonderful that there are no real alternatives. I guess I should look on the bright side and be glad that my favourite sculpt was available at all and not say, a limited sculpt of only one that is lost in an ancient maze.

 

I'm still on packing for my Diana and Adonis. I had a glimmer of hope once I saw a few ship but nothing for me yet.

 

I'm still in packing as well for Diana. But hey, there's two months before I join the two year club. He's gotta get that doll to me before then. Right? Right?

 

24 days left till I reach 2 years mark for my Diana... And it's still at "packing" status. Anyone else who's on the 2 year track of waiting game? Kind of curious how many people ordered Diana.

 

2 more months and I'll be at 24 months waiting.

My status has changed to shipping for Diana. My Adonis was supposed to ship with her but I was told that they have to remake the molds for him and the COA's are delayed so I will get those when the Adonis ships in 3 weeks.

My Diana shipped as well, so happy!! But now there's strike going on with Canada post office so I have to wait a while longer... Why !!!

 

Because it's that time again for CANPost to strike. They do it every 2 years.....

 

Glad they are finally being shipped. My 54 weeks for Arsene was brutal, I just can't imagine 2 years.
