Just sharing my copper oriental Robin who just got back from getting a new face up. I also started a new blog for my little kid dolls where I'll feature my Dollshe kids along with my Iple FID/BID/Petdolls and Dream Valley tiny Ding. It's called Adventures of the Wee Resins and is linked in my signature below. Robbie Take 2 by wizgerg3, on Flickr
I have a wide variety of 1/4ths but mostly 1/4th Angel of Dream. I have some Minifee M-line girls too. So I thought I'd have clothes for my Lloyd - Dollshe Robin, but I was mistaken. My chunky bjd pants are long on him (expected) , but he can't button jeans or sit at all! That was surprising. Chunky doll shorts don't make it to the hips. Minifee stuff is way too tight. Shirts are fine, and I found glasses that fit. (Need eyes, wig, face-up) I'm having trouble with shorts/pants because of his butt/hips I guess. If you don't make clothes for your Robin's, where have you gotten some that fit?! I saw the size chart but from personal comparison what works for your guys? Thanks!
@The_Modern_Maiden , I have found some things for Tonner Matt dolls fit Robyn (shirts are a good fit, pants are slightly tight in the waist). The outfit my Robin is wearing in the pic above your post was made by @Xiaoli here on DOA. I also bought a couple pairs of pull on pants for my guys from SartoriaJ that were made specifically for him. In the pic below here Robin is wearing Tonner Matt shirt and vest (the vest doesn't close all the way) over SartoriaJ pants. They are not an easy size to fit, unfortunately. The little owl hat is so cute on her @luluna ! I like to see more activity in this thread. I love the little Dollshe kids! My 3 little girls 2 Rosa's and an Angela by wizgerg3, on Flickr
A surprising find for those of you that have Dollshe girls and need shoes...…………..the flat MNF shoes from He-Meife on ebay fit them perfectly with tights. I bought some for my MNF girl and they were huge on her, so decided to try them on the Dollshe girls (as they have kind of big feet), and with tights they are a perfect fit! Just thought I'd share. Hello! I am a new owner of a Rosa, bought her secondhand and she is my first doll of this scale (under 60 cm/child size, I have had one mature MSD but nothing else). I am already reading this thread for tips on which shoes and eyes to get, and I am wondering if anyone here happens to have Soulinaboxdolls eyes in 10 mm and a Rosa head, and could verify whether they fit her? I have no eyes in 10 mm, just one random urethane pair in 11 mm (I measured) and they are too big to fit the eyewell, so I am skeptical whether the 10 mm eyes actually fit. The Soulinabox eyes are low dome and small iris, and all my other dolls use them, so it would be nice to get some for Rosa too.
@vauhtikatti - I have a pair of Safin Resin Basics 10mm w/small iris in Mossy in my Rosa. I did mod the inside of her eyes a bit because any of the eyes I had didn't fit right in her eyes. I just hollowed out her eyewell from behind a tad. Here's a photo... Little Owl by luluna33, on Flickr
@luluna thanks for the reference! I guess I can do that with her too if nothing else works, in an extreme case sand a little (I even wonder if sanding the edges of the eye would work, before modding the doll).
@vauhtikatti - I just took a little file and worked on the top of the inside of her eyewells inside her head. I didn't have to touch the actual eye lids from the outside. And the eyes did fit in even before I did anything...they just didn't 'sit' right in the eyewell...in the way I wanted to position them. Hope that isn't too muddled. LOL
@luluna okay, thanks for clearing that for me! I'll order the eyes and see if I need to adjust anything.
Looks like Dollshe's running some sales on these cuties... I hope Angela joins the sale! And, that I might order on March 6th, depending on some things.
@Nissa...………..just be prepared for a long wait for Angela, if she joins the sale. I waited about 14 months for my Owen and Angela. Not saying they aren't worth it, just saying they took a LONG time to get to me. Brother and Sis by wizgerg3, on Flickr
@JinCIncy Oh I don't mind, I'm accustomed to Dollshe's waits~ Rather, I feel like it could be improved upon, but I don't personally get anxious about it. I know they'll arrive eventually. I love Dollshe's tan and ebony resin tones. Unsure if I want to get Owen and Angela in the same (ebony), or one tan and one ebony (or indeed, which in which). I suppose I have until March 6th to reach a decision! Your duo there are gorgeous! I love their period outfits!
@Nissa Good luck in your decision! I am really glad I got Angela and Owen. There don't seem to be too many of them out there, and I think they are adorable. My Angela is pale tan and Owen is in tan.
@bajib Owen is here: Owen (8B CLASSIC MAXI - 39cm) - Special package - DollShe craft I'm still waiting for Angela to join Owen on the sale, but her page is here: Angela (6G CLASSIC MAXI - 35cm) - 50% Off Sale - DollShe craft They're also both available via BJDivas.
Hi everyone! I'd like to order Rosa but can't see where to add faceup or not. And so many skin tones! Is Fresh closest to normal skin? TIA
I think the closest to normal skin is pure oriental. Fresh is a little bit lighter. They don't offer faceups, just blank dolls. Rosa is a wonderful choice. ^^
@El BJD : You are welcome. ^^ My Rosa in a new knitted blue dress with a book: 2020-04-01 Rosa in a knitted blue dress with a book by nufadolls, on flickr Rosa is a hybrid (Rosa head on 26F Fashion Maxi body), she is in pure oriental skin.
Your Rosa is gorgeous! I've just ordered mine! I'm over the moon! She's the first bjd I've ordered in almost a year!
I didn't know Rosa was going to be offered again. I have wanted to replace mine for awhile and this new sale is hard to resist, but the wait time is going to be really hard. I need someone to talk me out of ordering
Yes, oriental best matches "normal". I have an oriental Dollshe Diana on a DT17 oriental body (Dollshe casts for DT) and I have normal Iplehouse hands on the body and the resin is perfectly matched.
Well, I just added Robin to my Rosa order, so she'd at least have one doll to match her. That's my story!!!
He's a tricky one...………..I've had luck with some MSD shirts that run small. Tonner Matt shirts/tops fit him too. Shoes I still need to figure out. Here is a new shot of my copper oriental Robin and Rosa. I think you will love them when you get yours. What resin color did you get? I have more pics of them (and the rest of my tinies, including my other Dollshe kids) on my blog linked below :Adventure of the Wee Resins Robbie and Rose by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Love her dress!!! And thanks for the tips re his clothes, JinCIncy!!! I might have a pair of shoes & boots I could um steal from my SD. And possibly an MSD shirt or 2.
Thanks. Her dress is Dollmore MSD size. I did pin it in back at the neck, as it wa a little big there, but otherwise I like it on her.
Dollshe hasn't confirmed yet that Robin was successfully added to my Rosa order. I paid for him in full via the same PayPal id, not through their website, as he told me not to pay the shipping. If there was another way, I couldn't figure it out, just like installments wouldn't work on PayPal either for Rosa. I did add a note & my order # to both PayPal and the email I sent as well.
@El BJD : Dollshe will need some time to react to your inquiries and change the initial order manually. Please keep waiting and ask him again if he please could confirm. For me it was the best way in the past, to ask him per email directly, I always became a reply, but often not on the same day. They will need to translate the inquiries from English to Korean. You will probably see in your account on their website, if it has worked, I think you will be able to see Robin also in your order.
Hello! Does anyone happen to have Iplehouse brand shoes made for JID girls and can confirm if they fit Rosa? JID girls have a foot 2 mm shorter, and I don't know if the shoes will have spare room to fit my Rosa. I'm ordering from Iple anyway, so it would be nice to order shoes for Rosa too (who I got in January and still haven't found shoes for).
@vauhtikatti yes they do. My Rosa is using her flat feet right now. The Iplehouse flat fit a little loose, the high heeled shoe fit almost perfectly. On the Dollshe high heel foot, the high heel shoe was a little loose.
My three little tan kids...……..Robin is Honey caramel brown, Angela is pure pale tan and Owen is pure tan. More pics of them in my blog linked below: Adventures of the Wee Resins Three Out of Four by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Reviving this thread................... I guess there aren't too many Dollshe little ones around. An Old Trunk by wizgerg3, on Flickr
She's beautiful! Love her dress too! I cancelled my Rosa and Robin the other day, alas. I didn't want to be over 80 before they arrived!
Sorry if this is weird, but I just wanted to say that your post made me smile. Dollshe wait times are like but your outlook on it is like and that's just honestly so great.
It is funny how Dollshe requires a change in perspective. used to think a 3 month wait was excruciating, but with Dollshe, anything less than 2 years is a win! It kind of is a bummer, but it is so exciting when they arrive that I forgive the wait times.
You may want to try a pair of the soft "glass" flexible doll eyes from Masterpiece Eyes (Welcome to Masterpiece Eyes) (Welcome to Masterpiece Eyes, home of the original Soft Glass Eye) (EYE COLORS: Welcome to Masterpiece Eyes, home of the original Soft Glass Eye) — his eyes are beautiful.
At least you're taking it with some humor . I guess I have given up on them after waiting for too many years on my Diana. Yet since this is the Robin and Rosa thread, have some Rosa everyone :
I attempted to cancel my orders for Angela and Owen in May 2021. I got the “wait a little longer” email many times. I just got a shipping notice from Dollshe for my Angela. She will be shipped unstrung. I guess I can start looking for clothes, shoes etc now!
After 2 years I got a message that order is finished but her wants more money for shipping! Really????
I chose to have my Angela shipped unstrung because I didn't want to send another red cent to the man.
Shipping prices did go up, but still not right. Two years... it's been a crazy time in the hobby. I have a Dollshe Robin. I picked him because he looked like a 1/4th "dad bod" or "fat" or "pudgy" bodied male not skinny or muscular body types. I have him pairing with a hybrid Minifee M-line body and different head, look more natural less anime-ish. My boy's too big for 1/4 pants/shorts! I have some chunky 1/4 males and females, and haven't found pants for him yet! All my 1/4th are adult characters. I don't have 1/3rd dolls, but I have some smaller.
With the wait times Dollshe has put upon everyone he should send all dolls that took over 6 months to produce for FREE shipping. His customer service is atrocious. I can't believe with how long he has made everyone wait recently that he would have the gall to ask for more shipping charges. I do have both Angela and Owen as well as Robin and Rosa, and I love them, but I was lucky to get them before things got as bad as they are with Dollshe now. I will never give another red cent to the man, I don't care how nice his dolls are (or were anyway, I hear that quality has gone down on the dolls that have been received more recently as well). And just sharing a picture of Rosa since it is the sharing thread Resigned by wizgerg3, on Flickr
I was wrong on my wait time. I just hit 2 years and after 3 messages of excuses after asking for refunds, she is supposedly being shipped later this week. I apologize for my scepticism, but just in case, want to start sewing for her. Does anyone know if Ruby Red Fashion Friends patterns work as a starting point? I think upper body measurements are similar but hips bigger. Also wondering about eyes I checked the soft glass eyes site and looks like 9mm or 11mm and dollshe measurements specify 10. Any recommendations?editing to add Ruby Red Fashion Friends clothes fit!!!!
My two little Rosa's just because I had them out photographing them. More on my blog: Adventures of the Wee Resins (adventuresweeresin.blogspot.com) Rosa and Aislinn by wizgerg3, on Flickr
