Dolls you want.... that don't exist!

A short 1/3 (55-58cm) muscular boy body. I want some boys to be shorter but in relative scale with my taller girls!

 

A boy body that is 55cm. Short boys still in the 1/3 range please.

 

Okay hear me out:

- Mature tiny girl
- Adult-proportioned face (can be stylized given the next two points, but not a neotenous face with low-set doe eyes and chubby cheeks)
- Stylized pear-shaped body
- WITH chunky legs, especially calves and ankles. not the "big hips, spindly legs" look

If Lillycat Chibbi Lana had Atelier Enaibi legs and Momoni posing ability, that would be the dream.

 

I want a really big Doll Chateau Bella, like 1/2 scale or so. It'll never happen but I can dream. Or actually any of the earlier DC sculpts in much larger scales.

 

Just in general: more interesting anthro dolls. There's a lot of cats and bunnies out there, and I just love it when I see, like, a platypus. I'm currently dreaming of a cute 1/4 cow girl... but wouldn't a camel be fun too?? Hmm...

 

I have an extraordinarily specific answer. I have a Volks Nono doll in the SD sized, Yosd size, DSD size, and a modified SD16. I would LOVE a MSD version of her. It’s never happening but dreams are dreams!

 

I want Lumedoll Rischa in SD scale and merman Soom Sabik (under 70cm) with little fins.

 

Ever since we went to scotland I have found myself thinking highland cows are cute with shaggy bangs. They would definitely make a cute anthro!

I just love me some soft boys, and the fact that there are NONE is a tragedy . . . YOSDs who look like little kids are NOT what I'm talkin' about here lmfao.

I'm just SO not into the ripped look (on dolls OR in real life). I'm grateful for the cute slim male bodies with softer-lookin' tummies instead of washboard abs that I've found, because I love that look, too! But I'd love to see one that's actually a lil chubby someday. Doubt it'll happen, but I can dream!

I've been trying to find an elf doll with rounded lips and dark skin to represent one of my story characters. I've searched dozens of shops and I am not convinced such a doll doesnt exist.

I don't know what scale you have in mind, but DoDollsDream is planning on a second 55cm "Miss Marionette" preorder in Spring and some of the sculpts that will be released have elf ears, plus she usually offers at least one medium-dark brown color. I feel like quite a few of her sculpts have round/full lips and mouths.

These dolls are definitely on the more expensive side of the hobby, but having purchased from DoDollsDream several times now, I can tell you that the quality is extremely high - the dolls are beautiful, they are packaged with loving attention to detail, and you can see how much the artist cares about each doll and each customer.

I guess they do technically exist but I’d love to see more mature ladies in the 65-68cm range. I adore Iplehouse and Impldoll sculpts but I’d really love to see a few more options out there…

 

A chubby 1/3rd boy. I doubt it'll happen but I'll continue to dream.

 

A cyborg in the style of Coral Reef's ONE that has a humanoid (well... as humanoid as the arms and upper body are) lower body and legs rather than strange pointy legs. Especially in 1/4 scale. There's been some interesting cyborgs but they're either the wrong size or wrong style for me, as cool as they are.

Probably best for my wallet and doll cabinet that I've yet to see such a doll, though!

A slightly plump MSD boy because I'm looking for one to be Aziraphale and it isn't happening.

 

A pretty doll with a hooked nose so I can make a mini me that actually looks like me.

(And by pretty doll, I just mean one that’s meant to be a pretty girl, not a witch or a creature)

 

A doll that isn't focused on being traditionally beautiful. I'd love to make my OCs into bjds, and well... they're 60+ year old men who are heavily scarred, missing limbs, and one is completely lacking an eye lol. Needless to say, heads that fit them are nonexistent, and bodies even moreso. I'd love to more see dolls that represent people who are disabled - as far as I'm aware, I've seen only one instance of a doll with prosthetics.

 

A BJD with serpentine features. I don't mean a naga or something like that, I mean stereotypically snake-like facial features (thin lips, visible fangs, a nose like DV Purple since he has that nose style I'm thinking of, eyes like Purple too would be nice as well) and maybe patches of scales on human skin. Elf ears would be fun for that kind of sculpt but I can see it as an optional thing. Basically think of a catgirl/kemono snake character that isn't a complete moe girl and you get the idea.

 

I want an orc guy! There's a handful of girls (which I own a bunch), but no dudes to be seen! Big, green, muscles and masculinity please.

Also more fashion sized men, in fantasy colors. I want horns and spikes and elf ears in the small 1/4.

 

While there are many potential answers to this question flitting about in the part of my brain that just doesn’t stop having ideas the only one I can accurately describe would be an Angel. The image in my head is inspired by a piece of music I’ve loved for years so it is very specific.

The doll would have to be of the realistically sculpted type, truly androgynous not only facially but also body wise with perhaps slightly longer limbs and fingers to help show that they’re not human. Facial features would also need to be slightly otherworldly and possessing a serene beauty that would make you weep and feel unworthy to gaze upon.

The wings would need to be either incredibly complex so they were capable of many poses or interchangeable and available in various poses as I’d like to have wings outstretched, resting and also curving round as if to form a protective shield.
Multiple hand and foot styles plus sleeping and half closed eyes head/faceplates would also be necessary. I’d like the half closed eyes one to also have slightly parted lips.

I know there are a few ‘Angel’ type dolls about but they’re either too masculine, too feminine or too stylised. I’ve also thought about perhaps just making a hybrid but have yet to find a body I’d consider suitable.

 

Recently, a couple companies have started to make muscular 1/4 females like MiracleDoll, but those bodies lack femininity. Why can't I have a gal with abs and powerful arms and legs but still have curves? I don't get it.

Doll Family A has a 68 cm body and Ling Yin, Yong Xi, and Ivy. I have the body, and I ordered the 58cm Yiuxu head at the same time, even though DF-A and ACBJD warned me it wouldn't fit the 68 cm body. Well, I got both, and the head fits perfectly. I suspect some secret modding was involved. I am grateful and surprised. I emailed ACBJD and offered to pay for the mod - I was turned down.

About a month or so ago, I wondered "80cm+ doll? Why stop there? You might as well make them at least 180cm".
The reason why I thought that was because I saw one of those Telethesia dolls (Not the one with the ultimate dad bod. That OTHER one.) and "I shouldn't buy something that tall, yet". Cue photo of MSD doll that has been hybrid with a lip biting child head sculpt, trying to resist that temptation.

And, I'm sure I'm not the only person that wants a teenage sculpt with an expression that is some equivalent to lip biting.

 

You want a yuan-ti it's not expressly made to have serpentine features, but I think Miracledoll Rita is perfect for this even without (minor) modding.

 

I want a 1/3 naga girl. Like I want her to have a big, long, scaly snake tail, and a human upper half. The closest that exists in 1/3 is Fairyland’s scarlet, who is a steampunk mechanical seahorse, with a much shorter tail than what I’m looking for (and it’s transparent, to show all the detail inside) meanwhile what I need is longer, opaque and scaly. Dream Valley recently made a beautiful 1/4 male naga. Miracledoll has made a beautiful 1/4 naga. I would just love if someone made a 1/3

 

I forgot which sculpt I would've liked to see upscaled from 1/4 to 1/3. And, a naga sculpt would be nice to see.

And, ever since that game Baldur's Gate 3 came out, I've wanted a red sculpt because of Karlach. And, I'm curious if any company will be inspired to cast a few red sculpts.
There's one artist, I think casted a few red sculpts before the game came out. (The sculpts have nothing to do with the game.) And, the reason why I haven't bought the one I want is because if I don't get along with it, I'll probably never be able to sell it to anyone else because of their strong PoV. And, I think their sculpts are expensive for chancing it.

 

I would like a doll with movable jaw (sort of like the puppet manequins, but scarier and more on a sci-fi aesthetic). I think sculptor Trey Gegenfu came with something similar to that (he sells through dollyplanet) but still not quite what I wanted

 

I would love an SD size octopus doll that can stand on all their 8 tentacles. I would also love a large version in clear resin of the jellyfish dolls by Dream Valley.

 

I don't remember the name or maker but I have definitely seen one! It was like a mermaid, except the bottom was an octopus with articulated leg-tentacles. Pretty sure it was Japanese. It exists!

 

I think you’re thinking of Dream Valley’s “the whisper in darkness” LE dolls—they were MSD-sized, just with very long tentacles.

 

Nope, it was a smaller maker and pretty sure a Japanese one, and all the dolls were monster types (cyclops, etc). The image showed a grey sculpt, and it could stand upright with the tentacles close together, like she was wearing a long skirt. The tentacles were rather chunky and octopus-like, nothing like that DV doll. I am pretty sure it was SD size (in the 60cm range), but my memory is a bit blurry, it was a long time ago.

 

Was it by chance Whale tower’s Abyssia? That’s the only other octopus sculpt I know of, but there could very well be sculpts that I don’t know about!

 

Similar, but I'm pretty sure it was not. I remember much more tentacle to body ratio and none of the smaller tentacles coming from the back. i'll try to find it!

Echoing many people, more/any chubby male dolls, especially in the 1/4 or 1/3rd scale. This is a long shot, but also some more large dolls (either height or fat-wise) that aren't insanely heavy to move around? I have weak arms T-T

For something a bit more unusual, I would love more bat-based dolls, even if they're just nekomimi. We have a lot of cute/sexy stereotypical vampires out there, but I want a cute bat-person type doll!

Also: Way more resin anime-style heads. I know there's already quite a few out there, but I love variety. Especially if they come in colors besides "white" and "off-white".

@Chameleon I found that doll by chance. I was wrong on a couple accounts. While it's listed as SD size, it's just 50cm tall. Also it's a Chinese maker. The doll is Abeyss by AbeyssPlanet. I remember it being vaguely monstrous but it's definitely weirder than I remembered. The sculpt I remembered in the pictures wasn't grey, it was purple!

Male skinny bodies without muscle definition as well as sort of slim-thick androgynous bodies, as well as kinda gaunt faces, I like medical themed dolls so more weak and sickly sculpts would be amazing!

 

Conjoined twins, joined at the shoulder, with really cute faces. I've seen close dolls but not exactly what I'm imagining.

Dream Valley's Nightmare Constantine body was perfect. Just make it bigger and put a proper horse head on it (with a jointed neck)!

I started reading at the beginning of this thread and it's interesting to see how many things have come to be! I wish there was a doll with a perfect figure-skating body. I have Volks skates for my boys and girls, but they don't actually pose like skaters! I used to dream of a ballet body, and I have a Supia girl on order, so we'll see how she works! Ballet and figure skating use a lot of the same movements, so if my ballet girl looks good in skates, I might have to get another one!

 

I'm happy that someone wanted then decided that they could make David Bowie exist.

 

I want more scary or horror inspired vampires, one of my vampire characters is inspired by Nosferatu and is much more monster-ish compared to most vampire sculpts. I would also really love if they had arms and wings that could be swapped out!
Another thing I really want is a brand out there to make a doll that's fully interchangeable with other parts they sell, like having arms and legs of various thicknesses, varying hip and bust sizes, and as much variability in stomach shapes that the posing range would allow to have a truly customizable silhouette/body shape

 

The closest to that that I know exists is Twigling’s body. There are 4 bust options that go from androgynous/fairly flat chested to very large bust. There are 2 lower torsos, the “short torso) which is curvier, and the long torso, which is a couple cm longer and less curvy, more straight. Then there’s short and long thighs to choose from, which account for a couple cm of the doll’s height. And 3 different sets of hands to choose from. This means, depending on the lower torso and thighs the doll can be 60/62/65/68 cm tall (with some variability from head sizes).

I’d love it if twigling introduced a masculine bust (the smallest chest is sculpted low, like breasts, and not high enough to pass for a masc chest undressed imo) and a masculine lower torso, so that you could create dolls with trans bodies without any mods needed.

 

Already coming back because I want a 1/4 scale skeleton doll. I'm so certain it would be insanely difficult to engineer though, if possible at all!
