There is a Soom Jackal if I remember correctly. I think it's the Soom Ender sculpt or something.

 

Fairy Skin Unoa 2nd. It will never happen, they aren’t being made anymore and they weren’t ever cast in Fairy Skin.
NS is pretty and I’d be happy to have her...but wow, she would be so dainty in white...

 

An Impldoll Star/Idol woman of the current aesthetic but with the same amount of mobility joints as the original Impldoll Idol man (which should possess the legs of the newest incarnation of the Idol man body). Very specific, but I really want my girl to rock poses while still being curvy.

 

I don't shoot for something as wild as a whole doll, but I would love a 68-72cm male body with realistic proportions that is on the muscular side (like underwear model) but not body-builder type musculature, with a 14-15cm neck and decent mobility. When I say realistic proportions I mean ideally without legs that are twice as long as the torso or tiny little pectorals, a super long midriff, and narrow hips. I want a male body that is proportionate to what a real (idealized) human male would be in articulated doll form, without the BJD aesthetics bits that I find unappealing. DX

 

Oh god so many... But mainly I would looove to see a couple in particular.
1) argonian type SD lizard sculpt but with more of a dramatic profile- full body with a tail and digitigrade legs and all. (Yes I know about the Havok Ba head- it's great but really not my cup of tea, looks too flat from the side for me).
2) realistic muscular SD woman body- but like, cross fit/power lifter muscular, broad shoulders and all, not this "curvy slim but with abs" thing that has hit the market. Again it's great, but really not my thing. I dont find it realistic and I want a doll that visibly looks like she could crush me like a tin can- even when fully clothed, which most of the curvy muscular girls really don't look like...

 

A 40cm fashion-proportioned bjd who looks more like a normal, mildly geeky girl. Preferably with something like a hook nose and a body that looks more "couch potato squish" than "underwear model".

 

A merman bjd with a non-traditional tail. I'd love a shark tail, or something more exotic than the regular fish tail.

 

Maskuline Minifee Boys (I know it is not their style but I mean Tika and Mika were already so nice...)

 

This probably exists somewhere, but a doll with amazing eyebrows. It sound funny but its hard for me to find a doll with eyebrows AND a face up I actually like.

 

I would love like an actual plus sized girl doll. and I would love seeing a faun doll where there is more curve to the legs, and where the hips connect to the leg the way deer's do. I've seen a few faun dolls, and they were pretty, but they all just kinda felt like human legs that ended with hooves instead of feet. A deer's hind legs are boomerang shaped. I know it would be a pain in the butt to make stand, but I still want it. And if it would come in tan that would be great. It bothers me when the human part doesn't have brown skin available, cause your average deer is brown. Almost all the faun dolls have got goat legs, which is nice, but not what I'm looking for.

A merman with a fully poseable tail. Or just a fully poseable tail that'd be able to fit on other bodies, I'm not picky.

I really love the human figure as is but it’s so tough finding anything so realistic and with joints that mimic natural movement more closely

I'd love a mature mini boy body that isn't muscular OR skinny. But like some healthy chub. I do so love chubby guys... the closest I've found if DF-H new 46 cm boy body version II but even that seems too slim.

I would love a 1/4 or 1/3 naga but with a snake head rather than a human. It would also be nice if there were more anthro/animal heads for larger dolls in general.

Body-wise it would be nice if there was an androgynous body in the 1/4 & 1/3 range too. More muscular female bodies and 'dad bod' males would be good. I haven't come across a male body that has notable fat, it's either skinny or muscular at the moment!

 

A 1/4 scale chubby male doll with a somewhat mature look And I'm not talking about "skinny with sort of a belly pooch" (though that would be cute too) I'm talking thicker all over. The closest I've seen has been Be With You Pumpkin, but he's still too babyish and too small for my taste.

I sort of know this will never be a reality, so I'm considering modding or sculpting a doll like this eventually. The biggest issue I see is just... man, I feel like he would be heavy. Like, inconveniently so.

 

I actually would love a beautiful bat inspired msd lady. I know there are already some bat dolls but they are pretty cartoony or the full animal while I would be searching for a but more of a morph between human and bat.

 

Agreed. I’d also like some bodies that have higher body fat. Not chubby, but athletic, where not every muscle is defined so clearly.

Like others, I’m considering sculpting my own.

I'd personally like to see more boys in the 50cm range - I know there are some out there and I think they would be a great way to fill the gap between MSD and SD, because for me (and I'm sure there are others) SD looks really big and MSD looks really small.
Also, maybe just some slimmer guys in general - loads of SD boys are just CRAZY MUSCULAR.

 

I know I'm repeating myself, over multiple threads, but - a Minbari. More precisely, a Minbari warrior. Boy, would that be great ... *sigh* Bonus points if he resembles Neroon. Double the bonus points if he comes with a working Minbari fighting pike.

 

White skin fanged (preferably with an open mouth) Dollmore Kara Klum. YEARS I've been saying that and I will keep saying it. Dollmore has made sculpts they've already got into vampires before, but I don't think this will ever happen.
I am going to mod one of mine, but a NS one because the WS are too limited and I don't want to ruin them...at least, not until I practice first.

 

A doll with translucent skin or body parts. I think it might exists, but I've never seen one that was what I wanted. I'm also looking for a female doll with a "smirk", but most female bjds have delicate smiles with delicate facial features, so I'll have to see when one comes around. Oh, and more MSD sized male dolls, all of the male sculpts I like are huge

A F60 male Shiwoo. FairyLand never re-released the Shiwoo head sculpt when they had the F60 boys, and now that they've stopped selling them for some reason it seems even less likely I'll get him (or the El I also want, who yes could potentially be found secondhand, but I only want them as a set).

And a RealFee kitty boy with sufficient face sculpt attitude to style as a memorial to my cat who passed away a couple of years ago.

 

@Khell I had to google Minbari, that head thing would actually work really well as a mod, especially on a doll with a faceplate!

My dream is a body. I want a short SD, like 53 to 56cm, with small, like A cup small, bust, that looks good both nude and in bodices. I want her to have a slim waist, some hip/butt and beautiful shapely legs. I want her to be all around a slender, but still a woman not a child. With elegant hands and in pure white. I would absolutely take active line, cutie bust minifee with cutie legs in feeple60 moe size for this dream but since Fairyland doesn't seem to want to go there, I'm also thinking about trying my own hand.
Also, if you shrank Dollstown 17 to Elf size and gave her Elf boobs I'd jump on that just as fast.

Other things I'd like to see: More mature ladies. More mature male heads for minis. Or at least more options that don't look like babies and would go well with Unoa. To see Iplehouse make male mini heads that match their bodies instead of baby heads on beef men. More companies that offer straight white resin to make matching white across companies easier. More dark skinned dolls.

 

1/4 naga with a fully posable wrapping around tail. You know, a tail that could actually coil nicely? that'd be cool.

1/4 anthros beyond just Pipos. I'd love more options, especially with animal hands and feet rather than just a cartoonish animal head on a regular body.

Jointed LONG tails for any doll (like a cat tail but longer than the limited pipos one, you know, like as long as the doll's leg rather than short and stumpy)

More fantasy feet for 1/4, especially big ol monster claws and massive paws and stuff. Only ones out there are all LE and massively expensive, makes me sad.

Scaled down SDs. A bit like what Granado has done with their crowdfunding but for LOTS of dolls. I'd love to see more 50cmish dolls with the same angular mature faces and bodies of sd. SD is just TOO BIG for me, I don't have the space at all. So i'd like to see more dolls with the same aesthetic as sd dolls, but on a slightly smaller scale.

 

That's what I dread, having to sculpt one myself. I feel that I have enough knowledge of human anatomy from my traditional artist background and years as a freelance anatomical illustrator, but I am a procrastinator! I would have better luck winning the lottery than actually completing a whole 70cm doll in my lifetime. ^ ^;; If you ever complete yours, let me know! I am always interested in seeing new options for male doll bodies.

If I wasn't the laziest procrastinator alive, I would also consider sculpting my own. I know I would just waste money on sculpting materials, and not get anything done; I have a pile of projects stocking up for years now, and it just seems to keep growing. DX

Oh man that’s super cool! I feel like I have a lot more to learn in terms of anatomy and musculature but it’s been a really good exercise in learning all the boney landmarks and muscle attachments/insertions.
Mostly I just wanted a sculpt that followed realism more closely than what’s on the market.

Ngl though I’d love to have some input from an anatomy instructor >.>;; still working on it but a lot of the base sculpting is there

There are some really gorgeous 1/3 dolls that I would love to have in 1/4 scale! Off the top of my head is Feeple60 Cygne. There are some slight differences in proportion of the facial features even with the close sizes, and 1/3 often looks more mature and refined which I adore, but I don't have anything bigger than 45cm.

I also REALLY WANT a super buff 1/4 girl! I recently grabbed a wrestler fashion doll on clearance and I love how muscular she is.

Oh! I like that you went with 3D, it never even occur to me to try it out that way! I haven't done any 3D modeling since I graduated back in 2011, lol! I think your proportions are looking really good so far! I am one to prefer higher collarbones for longer looking pectorals, but that's just my personal aesthetics, not everyone is proportioned the same way. Btw, I was a freelance medical/anatomical illustrator but mostly for pamphlets and small things like web graphics, never an instructor (I can't do teaching, I am a big old awkward weirdo!). ^.^

 

Not exactly a doll per se, But I'd love to see more artificial/prosthetic/futuristic limbs, for FEMALE dolls as well. I've had a few ideas for a robotic, cyborg girl, but so far, I only seen those for 1/3 male dolls or whole mecha bodies.

In general, I actually really like a heavily structured bodies and very sharp/extreme faces haha but it’s really hard to find in dolls since Realism is kind of niche for some reason

I wish there was a greater variety of realistic sculpts too to be honest. One of my big hopes for the hobby is that one day someone with a better background in academic realism/anatomy will take a shot and do some realistic sculpts haha.

I don't think it's weird to find the human figure beautiful. I think many sculptors, particularly the traditional ones, or even going back as far as the original masters of classical sculpture, loved the human's body beauty so much that they wanted to leave behind their own personal ideal of the human figure in stone. Same can be said about just any other visual artist. Even these dolls are a very stylized visual representation of someone's love of the human body (and sometimes other animal anatomies' as well). I myself always preferred anatomical drawings to portraiture, particularly so when I was a teen because I loved painting gory-surrealistic landscapes, but I also appreciate the human body aesthetically, not just conceptually. However, there seems to be a preference for super-long-legged figures in Asian countries so most of these dolls (and figures produced in Asia) have massively exaggerated proportions, not very close to actual realistic human proportions. There are a few European artists making a few more realistically proportioned bodies, from what I've seen on here. Sadly, they are mostly under 40cm and I need I body that's at least 70cm. I'm not really into hyper-realistic-human-head sculpts, as much as I am into hyper idealized Japanese video game characters, but I need a realistically proportioned body for one of them, so therein lies my dilemma. :B

 

This is an odd one but I would love to see vinyl-cast versions of a lot of BJD sculpts (especially Ringdoll teen, Crobidoll, RaMCube, and even more unrealistically some of the artist sculpts like AdaDan Nightingale and SiO2 Peach Deer).
I know I overthink this, but as someone who personally doesn't like the look of yellowed resin at all, having a resin seems kind of stressful. What if I'm unable to do all the things I would like to do with the doll before its time runs out and it starts to yellow? I would end up feeling annoyed at myself and like I had spent my money poorly, even if the things that made me too busy were completely beyond my control.

(I know that many people don't mind, or even like, yellowing, and that's fine too! I don't think it's inherently awful, I just personally do not like how it looks IRL and would not want it for my own doll.)

 

MSD males that don't look teenage or androgynous. They probably exist, but I haven't had much luck finding them.

I love, love, love the look of my Mariko...but I just can't get used to vinyl after resin.

 

I'd like to see some dolls with wings that, if they were real, could carry the weight of the body attached to them. (My pet peeve is wings that are so small that they wouldn't actually work in reality.)
I'd like to see some long jointed tails, and I'd especially love if they could be purchased separately.
I'd like to see more variety of horns that can be bought separately.
I'd like to see more elf ear sculpts in general.

 

Although I'd definitely like to see more muscular women bodies, what I'd like to see actually chubby bodies in realistic proportions for both males and females. Like... a 'fat' doll that isn't super misshapen in the name of art, or just barely thicker then their 'thin' counterparts. I'm a bigger girl, and I'd like to dress up dolls with my body shape, and create wonderful and unique characters out of them!

 

A unicorn. Not a centaur, just a regular unicorn. Or a big cat. Preferably a tiger or a lion. Another one I can think of is an insect-like fairy with clear resin wings, or a doll with a flower-inspired appearance, like a built-in resin gown.

I'd also like to see fully-silicone dolls with a BJD-esque skeleton instead of a wire one. But that likely won't happen any time soon because that would be expensive as heck.

 

Seconding what others have said regarding ripped women, plus size dolls, readily-available fantasy parts and prosthetics (expecially jointed tails, like CrowBlackJay and Cuartos make for their dragon dolls), etc. A lot of these things do technically exist, but are so rare and/or specific that they may as well not. Fortunately, the bjd landscape seems to be growing more diverse in all sorts of ways, even if it's slow.

Those are nice. Though I admittedly should have clarified that I was thinking of MSD-sized dolls. Small ones are cute, but they don't allow for as much creativity. The unicorn and panther look great, though. Not sure how I missed them.

And the flower dolls are well done, obviously. But I was thinking something more along the lines of having a built-in dressing gown that resembled an upside-down rose, or a tulip, or a lilac or having vines for legs. And as for the insect fairies - again, I'd like their wings to resemble actual insect wings, like a dragonfly or a butterfly. What would be even more edgy is to have a fairy whose mouth resembles a dragonfly larva's mouth (look it up, you'll be scarred for life) The last one is unlikely to happen, but, hey, one can dream. lol

 

I don't know, I wouldn't put that past Doll Chateau. And those were just the ones off the top of my head, though I'd also like to see more wild designs in 1/4 scale, too (and really, all the scales, honestly). Even if they don't end up coming home with me, just seeing what people do with some of the more non-traditional sculpts is amazing (there are some gorgeous Moments/Ansons in the Project Journals area, if you want to see some drool-worthy work done on them).

 

Lol I wouldn't either. But the mechanism itself might be hard to pull off. If they ever do do it, though, I want the doll to have the most adorable face ever, so when they add the Eldritch Horror mouth people get confused. That'd be a great troll sale.
