If there is an SD17 Tsukasa release, I would totally try and get him and then slap the head onto an SD13 body. I'd probably be greedy and keep the SD17 body for something else, though.

And yes to SD17 clothes! Though I'd really appreciate something that's more casual, without being punk, doesn't look like a waiter's outfit, and something other than black would be refreshing. That's probably asking a bit too much, though.

 

Oh gosh... all these SD17 Tsukasa re-release talk is making me hyperventillate!

But I'd looooove to see a handsome SD17 boy--re-release or a brand new character, because I'm long overdue for a mature male doll. Just. One. More. handsome male doll.

Oh yes, I'm completely aware of this! I'm also very realistic about Volks not wanting to release SD17 Tsukasa because he "a display model only."

Besides, there might be some people who sent letters asking/begging/pleading for this boy to be released sometime.

Maybe not on this Dolpa. Maybe not even on the next one. But nobody knows really.

I'm still optimistic.

 

Perhaps, but I like to think of the limiteds used as displays only dolls and then released later (SwD Kaede comes to mind. She was a display only doll seen once at a dolpa and was then released several years later as a limited). So it is true, we may never see him, but we might. Dream FCS participants could have one for sure ^_^

That is Volks' default answer to any question concerning if or when something will be released. They never have plans to do so at the time. I believe people asked when that display model first started surfacing if Tsukasa was going to be released as well and Volks said no. Does not mean it will never happen, especially since they do re-release and the Tokyo Boys storyline is one of their most popular.

Now me, I'd much rather have original SD13 Tsukasa re-released since he has a bratty, smirky charm the SD17 one sorely lacks.

If there's a new boy, I really hope he's an SD13 just to see that horrible rumour about them only doing SDGr releases in the future be squashed.

 

I'm also hoping for a SD13 Tsukasa. Maybe he will be rereleased in the next Another Yourself book. We'll I'm hoping he will be. he's my dream doll since I joined DoA

I know everyone wants an SD13/17 Tsukasa, which would be grand I'll admit but I would also really love another re-release of SD13 Williams! I can't get on the SD17 bandwagon as that size and price are not quite what I need or want. Of course, if they released him as SD17 I'd have a much taller and a bit older Williams compared to my Cecile lol!

 

There's going to be another 'Another Yourself' book?

 

Ugh, the "no more SD13" rumors annoy me so much! SD13 is totally my favorite body, and it would be really nice to see Volks come out with a new one. (Though I'd also love some more option hands for them as well! )

 

It's mine too. It's just so uhhh squeezable looking, especially in tight jeans.

And I would be all over new option hands for it like white on rice. I'm really hoping to be able to finally snag some Sakaki hands now that they are available through FCS.

But either way, I'm always happy to see whatever Volks comes up with this time around. If they show new stuff for Maiden's Promise or something Holiday theme, I'd still be interested. :

 

Kaelin was also a display only when Irvin was first released... and then later he was released too, so never say never!

This. I love the SD13 boy body to death, I don't want to see it discontinued someday just to make room for a super articulated, more mature version.

As for story lines, I think I want Echoes most, then Naval Academy.

I'm on the side that believes that SD17 Tsukasa is only a distant reality! There's no way Volks would pass the money-making scheme for releasing Tsukasa in SD17, especially when they've been displaying him so frequently.

But with that said I'm actually hoping for Pureskin White SWD Nana...O_o

 

As much as I love all this talk about boys (because these boys are awesome!), I think they will spend their attention on another story line this time around. Maidens Promise or a collab or the Rozen Maiden girls I hope

 

Hooooo boy.... honestly, the *only* thing that could possibly crunch me for this dolpa is that oh-so distant hope of an SD17 Tsukasa release... I tend to agree with the people who speculate that Volks is just refusing to commit to/confirm anything. I also thought immediately of the Irvin/Kaelin thing too when I read that. Of course... that could just be my misplaced sense of optimism. Lol.

I'm somewhat convinced that one of the dolls released for Dolpa 22 will be from "Maidens Promises" based on the artwork Volks is using for Dolpa 22. I'm also wondering about Volks' Rozen Maidens: the three remaining unreleased dolls are Kanaria (Yo-SD), Kirakishou & Barasuishou. The order of the Volks RM Doll releases also don't follow any kind of order, so the next Volks RM doll release is pretty much up in the air. But three of the five released Volks RM dolls were released at a December Dolpa so there is a good probability we may see an RM doll released for this Dolpa

 

I hope for everyone's sake here they release Tsukasa and release a new Rozen Maiden character or re-release an old one!

I anxiously counting the days down til there's an update on the Dolpa! By the time the NYC Dolpa rolls around I'll be sooo broke >__<

 

yes... and if they do release Barasuishou, I also pray it is in ample enough quantities to prevent yahoo!j blood baths. wahhh.

As much as I am excited for this dolpa I have a gut feeling that is gonna be from the Echoes of a Beautiful Banquet based on how the text are layout (its gives me the traditional Japanese feeling* as well as the bento box volks showed.

I really hope volks would post limited pictures up soon T_T.

I don't really care what story line the dolls come from, I'm just looking for the dolls themselves and very rarely care about their accessories. *crosses fingers for cute tan Yo-girls*

It is 11/1 in Japan, but it's only a few minutes after midnight! We have to wait at least a few more hours to see if anyone has heard anything.

Oops, I just looked at Volks' site and it says the guidebooks started selling on October 31....but won't be shipped until November 14th. We have a lot longer to wait! Is the guidebook the only source or will there be a preview somewhere else?

I agree with you too! I don't really care which story they come from as long as the sculpt is apealing to me I'm all for it ^__^ !~

 

The VS/VIP members also get cell phone pictures of the new dolls.

We usually get cell phone pics about a month before the dolpa, so I would assume they will start popping up pretty quickly. The guidebooks will arrive around the middle of November I am guessing since they arrive pretty fast after shipping ^_^ I hope we get a sneak at the cellphone pics soon!

Edit: just wanted to add that VS/VIP members are the ones who get the pictures and those are people who have applied for that membership in Japan, I do not believe it is available outside of japan (that is you have to have a japanese addie to get one, but I am not positive so someoen please correct me if I am wrong ^_^).

I'm hoping for more new Dollfie Dreams myself.
Particularly since they made a Louise MDD I am hoping for a Shana MDD.
The ridiculous first come first served and website lagdeath at the Volks International website for the recent Akiba Girls releases has me hoping they at least lottery the new LE stuff.

 

Half of me is hoping for a new SD17 boy.....the other half hopes not.

You know, I saw an affordable Luna on Y!J few minutes ago. It didn't include the wig, but it was under 1K still.

Yeh but its not a buy it now right? LOL YJ auctions are ....... NOT reliable end price add to that the 200 or so buyers fee and the 150.00 shipping and as you can see the price is rising and the terrible weak dollar... the conversion is really bad.

So far though I have had no luck with the lottery systems on volks usa....

Ah YJ...I tend to stay away from there because it is very dangerous. Having paid well over $200 in fees and shipping on dolls already 2-3x their original price has left me weary. I prefer to buy first hand from Volks or pay the markup here from a member that bought the doll originally as well...although there are many dolls that I will only buy from Volks due to the high aftermarket prices (if it wasn't for the lottery I wouldn't have my Luna now and that is the reason I still don't own a Shinku, Chii, Toppi, or Kurumi). But that is ok, if they are meant to be mine I will find them someday ^_^

Lets hope they release an awesome doll that will fulfill all our wishes and the they release enough so that we are able to get one

They never do though, do they? So many of us are just left jonesing for dolls that cost $3000 on YJ and that is really the only alternative if you REALLY want it.

 

They JUST did a Tokyo Boys release (Ryoya) so I don't think there will be a character from that story this time. Also I don't think there will be a SD17 character either since they just released the new SD17 Williams with a new body. Just like how they didn't release any other character with SDGR body after Ryoya?

I think Luna is very possible.

volks doesnt always re release dolls. Why dont u just buy a ran if you want one there not as hard to find as they were. Hmm I wonder when volks will leak out info about the limiteds i hope for some cute new molds.

 

I think it has more to do with the 2nd hand market prices. Ran's HEAD is currently going for about $800-900... why pay that if Volks re-releases and you can pay $900 for the full doll with outfit?
