I have to say that I am pretty excited about Kira's outfit. I didn't realize it is in Cream and White with a "fur" stole. I saw a picture of it in an ebay auction and it look beautiful!!!

I like it too. I have to say though that my Kira will never wear that. She will be goth. I have even commissioned gloves for her. I dont plan on keeping that faceup either as it does not match her character at all. I hardly look at the outfits anyway, let alone use it. I wonder what your Kira will look like. ~Gus

I like the outfit too, but I am not sure my girl will wear it. I think I might steal parts of it and maybe sell other parts, as I have some nice items that corset (I think it is a corset) would look good over and I adore the shoes and wig. I already have plans to change some of her (getting the teeth painted, getting different eyes, adding longer, darker lashes). Not sure if I will change the entire face up though as I do like it and it suits her character quite well.

I am really excited to see what everyone does with their girls! February and March seem so far away...

 

Wow! A Goth Kira! I cannot wait to see that. You always have such great concepts for your dolls. I am sure she will be a stunner. I cannot wait to see a bunch of Kira all with different face-ups. I currently have no plans for my Kira. Not even a name. I will have to think on it. Maybe she will just "speak" to me when I see her in person. I sure hope so!!!

Nabeerain! I love your plan and it is what I have done to several dolls. I love just modifying an existing face up. I usually add more eyelashes, re-gloss and add some depth to the lips by layering on more pastels and then add more individual hairs to the eye brows. I still do not have a plan for this girls yet though. Seems we all have some time to ruminate on it!

Thanks for the link! I am loving that display too EDIT: Quick question, is that a dreaming 4 sisters yo? Have they released the dreaming version before? I do not remember since Yo isn't really my size ( I know they released the standard 4 sisters yo, just unsure about the dreaming).

I want to know, is anyone else wishing they could have a Dolpa Staff jacket?? I would rock that jacket everywhere!!

I know because I thought she was so precious I almost got her myself! And I usually stick to SD size and up.

 

Thanks Weslie! She is so sweet I really adore her...if they release one again I might have to break my no Yo's rule (I have that rule because I have owned 5 Yo's and sold them all so I haven't bought one in the past 2 years lol).

 

I find the YOs a little hard to "bond" with as well, although I love the size. I wish her eyes were more open, I guess you can mod her.
I find myself drawn to Kira, if they didn't offer Nana I think I would have gotten her. I hope Volks does a 16 girl for Dolpa, grrrr.

I think Minoru will fit right in with all your Gackts. ;] I can't wait to see what I'll do with him too; he was kind of unexpected so I don't have a character or name for him or anything! All I know is that eventually he's definitely gonna need a Ryoya to keep him company...

 

I've already planned a whole story for Minoru and Ryoya. Just have to nab me one sometime next year after NYC Dolpa. ^____^ I imagine both Ryoya and Minoru will have no trouble fitting in with the Gackt Army

 

My husband is excited about Kira getting home, so we're sometimes just looking around for some of her things. She is totally in need of some time-period outfits.

 

Haha, very nice! I don't know if I can wait until after NYC Dolpa to get a Ryoya... xD' But I'm impatient! On the bright side that means I can bring both to Dolpa. :P I have a vague idea of a story with Minoru and Ryoya... and it definitely involves Ryoya's character being a Gackt impersonator. I just can't help it because he looks so much like him. You'll definitely have to take a picture of all the Gackts with Minoru and Ryoya when you get them.

Yes, but also keep in mind that is Japanese time, so I believe it will be Christmas day for us in her the USA.

 

I've actually been looking at the 2 swords - maybe a boxing day present to myself? I also think the gold chair is to die for but way out of my price range. Probably I'll try and order 1 of the swords (pirate) and maybe the Cristal: Soleil d'Or outfit (The Maidens Promises)

Probably not for another 8-10 hours, it's just after 12am there and the clothes are not for sale, so I imagine they'd be for sale around 10am Japan time/8pm eastern/5pm pacific.

Going to be trying for 2-3 outfits myself. But does anyone know how SD13 girls would fit in SD16 girl clothes? Specifically coats, since I love that winter coat set but it'd be for an SD13 girl.

 

I know the SD16 waist is smaller. I don't remember how the shoulders are different, but they are. I guess it depends on if you want the coat to close?

 

The shoulders on an SD16 girl are A LOT wider then they are on the the SD13 girl body. That being said a few of the outfits are actually interchangeable... Though I can tell you the looser fitting the garmet you are trying to interchange the better when it comes to SD13 to SD16

hmmm, i tried to order some of those outfits from Volks but after payment I got the Volks error message. Now I don't know whether I successfully completed the transaction. I do know they are getting sent the money cuz Paypal emailed me about that. Arghhh.... it feels like the dark ages of internet payment.

 

Well, when I went on the website at 8:30 Mountain time pretty well all the SD13 outfits were sold out... I did get the 2 swords I wanted and a couple pair of Glass eyes but I sure would have like to have had a chance at either of the Maidens Promises outfits.

 

I second Anthony's assesssment. SD13 and SD16 can share clothes but it depends a lot on the clothes. Fitted jackets are harder to share than a stretchy skirt or top but it can be done. Sd16s tend to be broader in the shoulder and chest but smaller in the waist.

I am totally bummed that I missed out on the White Leather Bunny Set. I really had my heart set on it and am hoping I see it on VolksUSA in the next couple of months. I did buy another outfit set though so it was not a total loss...

 

It was the feminine down jacket set I was looking at in particular since I wanted the winter coat. Not that it really matters at this point since both outfits I really wanted are sold out. Not having any luck with doll clothes at the moment.

I waited 5 hours and missed out on all the outfits, just great.

 

I checked at shortly after 10 am Japan time and everything was sold out . . . now on the Japanese site some stuff is back up, but none of the outfits I wanted. Well, this time I wanted an SD13G outfit and those usually go quick, but I'm surprised that the SD17 outfit did O_o.

 

I checked maybe 4-5 minutes after 10 am Japan time. Things went super fast; like blindingly. By the time I had made the attempt to add the outfit I wanted to my cart it was already sold out. Crazy!

Thanks so much for sharing they had a few things in stock now on the site though, Timid! I went to take a peek and to my surprise they had one of the Maiden's Promise outfits left that I wanted and managed to grab it.

 

Well that sucks... I was under the impression it was another lottery, but no the one dress I wanted is gone.

Now I get to pay twice the price or more for it on the second-hand market...

 

They had what I wanted but I was never able to complete an order. I just kept getting an error message every time I tried to pay. I tried to pay with my credit card and with Paypal. Nothing worked.

Never mind! I figured this out - you can't use a different shipping address than your billing address. You have no choice but to have it shipped to your billing address.

 

I come from the Sumika : i have winned my SD Kira and 4 outfits (3 are for service to a friend) ! i am happy ! I missed the msd uniform :/ ! too small quantity (1 or 2 maximum) !! It was a crazy after event :/ !

 

Ooh, I'm glad you got something you wanted! Apparently what happens is people put stuff in their cart just to hang onto it, then decide what they really don't need after, so sometimes it's not as bad as it looks.

I don't know what it is this Dolpa, but things sure sold well O_O.

 

I don't know I'm pretty surprised that I just woke up and went to the site and could buy 3 of the 4 Yo outfits if I wanted to (I did get the last of one of them, but still 2 are available) and that Eddie and Lillie still seem available.

 

Well, VolksUSA will have the outfits in month or so, so I think that is when I am going to try for them. I was WAY too busy yesterday to try for any outfits.

From my experience of AE on the international site, all you need is patience.
Volks usually will throw a number of outfits out all through the day at different time point, and usually they marked all items as sold out once the AE started......^^"

BTW, some of the limited SD models (SWD NaNa, the two Yo-SD) are still available for order in the international site, so those who desparately want them, go GET them!

 

wow I can't believe the limiteds are still available to order on the international page. Volks might be trying to stop scalpers by releasing more dolls? Or they just finally realilsed the demand for their dolls X'D

 

I just went to look, and all the limiteds are up for sale (SD17, SD16, SD girl, YoSD DD, and DDy). But all the lottery clothes and most of the other clothe are all sold out. I hope someone looking for their dollie is able to go back there and get one

I know that the angel robes pictured in the guidebook were supposed to be released on the 12-23 at a special Sato event and not actually Dolpa 22, but I can't seem to find any on Yahoo!Japan. Am I missing something? *lol*

I think that is wonderful, I'm so happy that many people will get their dream dolls. I would be weeping if I did not get my SWD Nana, it would be unbearable. For you guys that is, ha ha. Ria ria, you are so kind to think of others!

 

OMG - I just ordered the Maiden's Promise Liz: Perce-neige outfit and there are still some available. There are also some of other outfits that were previously shown as sold out that are now available.
