I didn't realize they had changed the resin color. I wonder if anyone has some old and new resin comparisons.
Dollmore made a post on fb & ig in July 2020 saying they were considering changing the Trinity skintone to match Lusion and provided this picture if it's any help: dollmore1 @ Instagram I have a dress up Elysia who has the old 'pink' normal skintone, no.2 in that pic, she came with high heel feet and the large bust as default which I wanted to replace so I first ordered a pair of flat feet, which Dollmore matched very well and more recently a small bust but that is noticably more cream than pink, similar if not the same to the no.1 pic above. Personally, I can live with it though as the difference is negligible in indoor light and my Elysia is fully dressed most of the time anyway.
I just ordered a pair of flat feet as mine only came with heeled ones. She was made in mid 2020. I don't know how long Dollmore usually take to fulfill body parts orders, but I can post a pic when they arrive. I don't mind them being a slightly different shade anyway as they will be in shoes most of the time.
Does anyone have Kaya, Eugenia or Marienne? Can I see pics please? Trying to decide on my first Trinity...

Did any of you lovely Lumie owners ever try her with 26 mm eyes? They don't have the colour I like in 28 mm, so I was wondering if I could make size down work? Thanks
I have a pair of 26mm glass eyes that JUST fit her, but they aren't from Dollmore. They're just a basic pair from a chinese seller on Ebay. They manage to just fit her eye sockets without a gap, but if they were high dome eyes it might leave a tiny gap at the corners. If my cheap pair works, I'm guessing a Dollmore pair works as well. I wish they made 28mm in more colors too.
@QuietYurei Thanks! I decided I will go down the comission route to get what I need. Spoiling the girl proportionately to her size…
FYI: I emailed Dollmore. Abby said that the sculptor is working on updating the Trinity body to include double-jointed knees. It should be available in 2023. Also, for US collectors: Target is currently selling a Disney Princess Tiana costume dress for $30 (normally $50) from June 12, 2022 through June 18, 2022. Sizes run from 3T to 9-10.
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Dollmore has put a lot of the fullset dresses up for individual sale on their website. I wonder how the double jointed knees will improve the sitting poses more. She seems to have such a hard time holding poses just because of the sheer weight of the resin.
I don't mean to double post, but I just noticed Dollmore listed a new Trinity girl sculpt called Beatrice, she's gorgeous
Dollmore listed a new Lumie called "Wine Resistence", a pretty bright red girl. She's soooo pretty. Also, this may be of interest to Trinity owners. The brand Spirit Doll released a doll called Catalina who stands even taller than Trinity at 125cm! She's incredibly pretty and I am so curious what she looks like beside a Trinity. Spirit Doll's website seems to be down/messed up but she is listed on Dolk for $2,168. She might make a good friend for our Trinity girls.
125cm?! I'm only a head and neck taller than that. How strong do you have to be to lift that doll. Wine Resistence Lumie looks really pretty.
You and me both @zekarmisama! 125cm is only a foot shorter than I am X) I would LOVE to see one of these girls in person, but purchasing one is totally out of the question as I wouldn't be able to move them! But if Dollmore ever released smaller versions of these heads (SD13 size), I would be so interested - Lumie is gorgeous, and I also really like Eugenia, Kaya, Kate, etc.
If you can pick up a toddler, you can probably pick up a Trinity. She weighs about 7.15kg, or a little under 16lbs. Probably a little more awkward given she's a tall resin doll, but the weight isn't so bad. Gripping her around the neck with one hand and another on her bottom is a good way to move her place to place. Anyone who has issues with strength or hand dexterity will probably not be able to manage her alone though that's for sure. I too would love to see these girls in another scale. 1/3 is probably the scale that makes the most sense, though I sort of dream of them in a 1/4 slim msd size. :P But it would be very cool either way. I love the miniaturized Ilua line from the Lusion size, maybe they will do more of that some day.
@QuietYurei - Haha, I pick up toddlers often (I have many wonderful nieces and nephews) - but I get pretty sore afterwards if I'm with them for days at a time! Still, I'm sure you're right that the shape makes it harder to handle (at least toddlers try to help by holding on to you when you pick them up!). 1/4 size would be lovely - the faces are very pretty. I didn't realize they had made a miniature line of the Lusion size, so I suppose there is hope for the Trinity girls to become smaller!
Once I asked dollmore to shrink down the trinity-line to sd like they did with the lusion-size to go down to msd. An SD-Kate woould be my dream come true. I hope that some more people would love to have Trinity-faces in SD size, too
Kate is hands-down my favorite Dollmore sculpt. Man, can they sculpt a beautiful face. I would love love love an SD Kate - or a Kate that fits on the Judith body.
Several of the Trinity heads were sculpted by Gu Mi-Jung who also scuplted Zaoll, Heeah and Narsha. We might have more success if we asked for the heads we like to be reduced for the Zaoll or Heeah bodies!
I love Zaoll. Finally i got my red fanatique Zaoll I was hunting for 5 yeas. I love her size and despite of the fact that she is singlejointed- I don´t mind. So yeah- let´s ask to shrink Kate and the others we love down to Zaoll size. This would be a dream come true.
@greeneyed-soul - Oh, Zaolls are so pretty! I would love to have at least a head someday (because I prefer double joints). She reminds me of my one of my favorite illustrator's work (Trina Schart Hyman). Maybe we should start a petition for them to shrink the Trinity girls! I would find Lumie, Kate, Eugenia, and Elysia hard to resist if they did!
You've got to watch Dollmore's sales - they were selling Zaoll head blind boxes for half off a few months ago. I got one shipped to the US for under $70 USD.
@MaleficentMrsofEvil - Thank you! I'm subscribed to their email list, so hopefully I'll see if they do this again!
Hello! I'm, unfortunately, not a Trinity owner, but I have looked at the website quite a few times and think this line is just gorgeous! I live in a very small house with almost no doll space, so I'll have to stick to MSDs and tinies for now. However, I had the funniest + strangest dream last night and thought it would be fun to share it with other Trinity lovers! So in my dream, I logged into DoA and on the front page there was a new doll announcement; It was a Dollmore Trinity, a limited edition of five, but instead of being a normal body she was on a trinity-sized centaur body! People were going crazy over it, saying their kids could ride on her back and all sorts of other hilariousness. I wanted to get one so bad but it was like $10,000 ahahahahaha If Trinity could come on a centaur body, would you like that? Would you get her?
Wow, that would be... big. I don't think the current me (who is poor and lives in a small house with three dogs) would get one. Fantasy-me who has infinite money and a massive house? Hell yes.
On account I feel like I need to lift weights just to manage my Lusion boy better, a Trinity Centaur might kill me under its weight. But that would be fascinating to see. I already have a 3D printed 1/3-70cm scale horse (in progress) so.... what if bigger. xD
Ahhh oh my gosh, I remember your username! You're the one with the project journal for making the giant Hussar styled guy and his horse! I bet that thing takes up so much space, lol. But yeah, I mean, if you're keeping a stable of horses that big anyway, whats one more giant centaur girl? hehe It would definitely be interesting to see, but probably impractical on DM's end of the deal. It would cost a lot to make, and honestly probably wouldn't sell many units. It'd be interesting to see a fantasy/half human doll that large for sure though. Maybe one day they could just make one, to take to a convention or something?
That would definitely be interesting to see but realistically would be way too heavy. And she’d probably need a closet all her own just to store her in. I keep my girls in my (crammed-full) closet to keep dust off and cat away. It works out pretty well. Until I need to get in to get something out. Not to mention that unless Dollmore comes up with some super-spectacular engineering on the body, it would most likely be unable to stand, constantly buckling under its own weight. I’ve gotten my girls to stand on their own (and they’re way better at it than my Lusions), but I’d never trust them to stay up by themselves for more than a few minutes. It really would be something amazing to see, though.
lol yeah. Oh no. Now when I get a Trinity, I am gonna want to give her a horse. xD Now that Dollmore is more amenable to mixing and matching with selling heads and outfits separately, I am tempted to get Lumie or Eugenia with the Flower Swing dress. Elysia's open mouth expression doesn't really vibe with me. But this is still a ways off because I am like.... need more money.... need more space... need more muscles...
I'd super love to have a Trinity one day, but I'd rather make her clothes, it seems on dollmores website though they only sell them in their fullset limited edition releases? Or am I overlooking something, somewhere? I'm basically in love with the Jude sculpt. Its my new grail lol
I would email Dollmore (Abby) and ask. The worst they can say is no. IIRC, they used to sell the bodies separately, but Abby told me that the sculptor is reworking the body (he wants to give it double-jointed knees), so that might be why the body isn't on their website right now.
Recently they started selling blank heads and bodies separately for Lusion line, but haven't seen Trinity ones yet. You can buy a blank head, bust feet and hands so far, maybe the body will eventually become available?
yay! smaller body, and yay! as a basic doll, but. . . 52cm tall Zaoll? My first guess (and choice) would have been on the Model Girl body, but I guess the Zaoll body has proportions more similar to Trinity body than the Model body has. Neck size is similar enough though, wonder if they'd allow a body substitution
Zaoll and Elysia were both sculpted by Gu Mi-Jung. I noticed today that there us a Ramie head on the Eve body! Maybe they will allow a swap.
The Zaoll Elysia head is available separately in the parts section and the Eve body is also available in parts!
If there is already a post on this please remove but I didn't find one in my searching. Im currently saving up for a 110cm dollmore trinity doll specifically Klaire. I was wondering who else has one of these size, my main questions are: What are the pros and the cons? Does the size make it impossible to pose well? Is finding wigs, clothes, shoes etc difficult? Are 1/3 scale dolls better with avaliablity of both doll & accessories? I would really love a BIG doll but don't know if I would be biting off more than I can chew. I can make wigs and clothing but shoes are a whole different level for me personally to make. I've been debating between 1/3 instead but the bigger size really appeals to me. Thank you for your time.
@CraftAlley I wouldn't say I'm an authority on trinities, but I do have one so I'll try to answer some of your questions. I love my big girl, but, for me she is too big to do anything with and she just sits in her chair. She's very cool to look at, though. Dollmore makes clothes and such for them, but I don't know of anywhere else. I would definitely say 1/3 is easier, but that is a broad range in itself. I've noticed most shops tailor to SD16 or SmartDoll lately. If you're going to make your own clothes, see if Dollmore has enough assortment of shoes for you in the trinity size. Maybe someone else can suggest more shops too? All in all, if you really like the appeal of the bigger dolls, I'd say they're worth it, but the smaller ones have way more options, as far as I can tell.
A smaller Eugenia might be more affordable. I love her face up and the version with the Edwardian cap and tipped hat. If only they made her smaller and thus more manageable too.
I finally ordered Edna dress up last night! She’ll be my first Trinity doll! I’m thankful that they have layaway! Hopefully I’ll pay her off early, so I don’t have to wait as long️.
I've been wanting a trinity girl so every now and then I check back on the dollmore website, and omg, has anyone else seen the banner teasing new trinity boys?? I can't wait to see what they come up with for face sculpts!
I am also really looking forward to seeing what the Trinity boys will look like! They also have a new girl sculpt named “Charlotte”, coming out soon. From the sneak peeks they posted I think she looks gorgeous!
I finally bit the bullet and placed Disillusioned Marienne on a year layaway with a pair of flat feet a few days ago. I told my husband that if we don't have or want any children by the time I'm 40 I'm getting a Dollmore Trinity BJD. I'm not 40 yet. But by the time I'll get her, I will be. So now the real wait will begin. I've never had this long of a layaway nor wait for a doll. Any tips to keep me sane while I wait for a year? Besides looking at moar dolls.... Like Akheilos 2.0, the merman BJD.
Congrats on the new order! I’ve put … two dolls on a long layaway so far. It’s definitely a long wait, but when I think that some dolls, even if they’re fully paid, I STILL have a six-month wait for them to arrive, it makes it a little more bearable. Oh, the boy sculpt! You know, they already released a sculpt that’s technically a “boy”, but so far he’s only been on female bodies. I’ll bet he’ll be the first one released on the male body. I’m hoping for a more grown-up version of the Lusion Dell, myself. He is such a gorgeous sculpt and he works really well for either body! He’d be a stunner in a more adult form!
I finished paying off my Edna Trinity doll on May 14th! The order is still awaiting shipment (I keep checking)! I am too excited, I know it's supposed to take awhile but I wish I knew when to expect her. I also keep checking the site for the Trinity boy doll!! I'm sure he will look awesome!
So.... I went to a doll show this past weekend, and someone was selling a Trinity Elysia. She is so gorgeous in person. I figured I could resist the temptation, because I didn't have $1,500-$2,000 to spend (nor did I want to). Then they told me what they wanted for her, and it was less. A LOT less. I now own a Dollmore Trinity Elysia. I'm looking at parts on Dollmore's website (heel feet, hands). I realize that the resins are different colors now. I have a new Zaoll, so I can compare the two, but I've never really cared if my resin matches perfectly. I have an airbrush. *shrug* Question for the group: Has anyone sprung for the jointed hands yet? Care to share a picture? (please and thank you!)
Has anyone seen the new boy they finally released? 122cm tall! Plus improved jointing that I really wish they’d implement on the girls, too.
He's 20 percent off, too, which can be a substantial savings for a Trinity. Dollmore Abby previously told me that the sculptor was working on the Trinity girl body to improve its posing ability and joints, and Abby estimated that the updated body would be released this year. So - I sprung for the jointed hands. I will let you all know when they arrive, and what I think of them. I also learned a few things that I thought I should pass on: Dollmore recommends 5 mm elastic to restring the entire Trinity female body (arms and legs). Dollmore sells 3 mm craft wire (the largest size they sell), but Abby said that 3 mm is too small to wire a Trinity girl body. I'm going to try it anyways. Abby recommended getting extra silicone wig caps and cutting them up to use to suede Trinity joints. If you want to purchase a Trinity carrying bag, you have to pay full Trinity shipping (even if no doll is included), because they have to use the Trinity doll box to ship the bag. From (South) Korea to Ohio, that would have been an extra $120 USD for shipping. I decided to pass on the bag. Dollmore does not sell patterns for Trinity dolls (but they do sell patterns for their other dolls). I've purchased a couple sewing books on how to size up/down patterns, so I'm going to try that. I'll post stuff in the Project Journals. Here are (bad) pictures of my Elysia. She's now holding my Zaoll Luv, which she has claimed as her doll. I can't believe how gorgeous her face-up still is. The enduring power of Dollmore face-ups, man.
All of my Dollmore dolls still have their original faces. Including my Model boy, Ash, who I purchased in 2007 with a custom face. They are amazing! Also, great info to know about the Trinities! Can’t wait to see what they come up with for the girl bodies.
I'm a little disappointed by the male trinity doll. Just based on the pictures he is SO much taller than the female trinities it's like she's a child. Don't really like that. :/ If you scroll down on their page you'll see what I mean
I decided against the male trinity when I heard how tall he would be. Now that he has been released, I don't like his style either.
that's the same height difference between myself and my spouse, and many, many other adults and their partners. It's 100% fine if the height difference isn't your jam, but saying it makes the shorter person look like a child is a little bit offensive
