Dollmore Trinity Discussion - Part 2

Jun 8, 2016

    1. Admittedly, I wouldn't mind adding a Klaire to my collection. The Cream Voler version, if possible. lol I just really like her faceup in that set (aside from the dress!). It's not quite as ... strong as the other versions. She looks a little softer. But, I've got a Lusion on year-long layaway right now so it'll be awhile before I even consider buying yet another Trinity. :XD:

    2. I've gone shoe crazy!

    3. It's easy to go shoe crazy! I have way too many for the girls! So I try to resist now!

    4. Toys R Us had a sale... So my obsession with shoes won again.

Also, I found a cute 3-6 months swimming suit.

The glasses are child sized from the Dollar Store. But they're too big. Oh well. Still cute!

    5. What a fantastic shoe haul! The white crochet ones in the front and the shiny black dress shoes in the back middle are my favorites!

    6. Ahhh, that swimsuit! So cute! And I love the white slip-ons in the front left. Must...resist...shopping...before..doll...gets here!

    7. What fun to see all the looks you all do. I have a feeling my Elysia will wear her original outfit only now and then and I have one other trinity outfit for her to wear at times. I think she will be dressed in Target and Walmart and thrift store fun things a lot.

    8. Finally I took some pictures of my Red riding hood Elysia

    9. She's so pretty! I love the red lips with how natural the rest of the faceup for that release is *-*

I took my Lumie out for pictures the other day and got distracted by the detailing of her spine at the base of her neck, it's just so delicate :3nodding:

    10. She's stunning!! Please continue posting her :D

I never knew Trinity dolls had that little detail! I love it

    11. I have never dressed my Red Riding Hood in her original outfit. I really should! I almost bought her the Grey Road dress set today, but considering my history of dressing her, I decided to think about it a bit more!

    12. The Gray Road set is spectacular!! I love that Dollmore really is coming out with more Trinity clothes.

    13. I love the spine detail. I tried to get a photo of it on my Klaire, but my lighting was awful.

      What outfit is she wearing?

    14. It's so nice, especially since the overall sculpting detail on the Trinity bodies is really pretty but not particularly detailed.

She's wearing a sweater I made over the lingerie cami she came with (and the plain white Trinity pants); I utterly failed to get a good picture of the whole back, but you can kind of see the bow in that one. The front is pretty simple but it turned out fine.

    15. I think it's beautiful! (So is your girl ^_^ )

    16. Oh, I love that sweater! And I didn't know about the spine detailing, neat. It's going to be so long before I get my girl, ugh. :\

    17. Thank you both ^^ When your Elysia arrives, remember to sweep her hair off the back of her neck occasionally ;)

    18. She is so beautiful! And Cennie, I love your little lady too!

I am so excited as I have paid off Elysia and now will be on pins and needles until she comes.

    19. Yay! I hope your girl arrives soon!

    20. Seeing the photos in this thread has reminded me I really need to take my Persona Pathos Lumie outside for photos at some point :XD: But for now I thought I'd put this photo here of her. This was one of the first photos I took with my DSLR camera I got last year. I just love how it picked up all the details in her face up.

    21. That photo is STUNNING! I love how we can see each brush stroke that painted her lips and eyelashes :D

    22. That's an incredible shot! Love the captured details.

    23. Thank you so much! I thought it was incredible being able to see all those brushstrokes. Dollmore did such a fantastic job with the Persona Pathos Lumie face up; simply stunning to photograph.

    24. @Magical Rin I thought this too! Beautiful photo!

    25. Lumie looks amazing! I cannot wait to see more pics. :)

    26. Whew! Just paid off my Elysia. :D I wasn't thinking I would so I'm not at all prepared for her arrival. *_*

    27. That's wonderful! Can't wait to see your pics when she arrives!

    28. It sounds like it'll be October or so? I'm really hoping she can get here before Halloween, for reasons. >.>

    29. Ooh that would be fantastic! A doll that size would probably creep out trick or treaters if you opened the door and had her next to you haha

      • x 1
    30. Lol! That's perfect. I have to do that now.

      • x 1
    31. Yes!! <3 I want to use her in my decorations, haha. I hope we have trick or treaters this year, as we're finally in a neighborhood with kids (we'd been in mostly college-student apartments previously). I don't know how crazy I'll be able to make the house this year, but I do love this holiday far too much.

      • x 1
    32. For some reason kids haven't come by our street much the past few years (probably because most of the neighbors turn their lights out so I assume the Halloweeners skip our street altogether) but there is a house in my city that incorporates mannequins into their front lawn display on Halloween and it looks amazing! It's such a fun holiday

    33. This is an incredible shot!~ <3

Hi again, dear friends! Sorry for the hiatus.. however, am really happy reading the previous posts and catching up on everyone's latest acquisitions.

Myself personally, I'd really, really love Red Priestess Klaire, and Gold dust & Blanc Printemps Elysia, but the funds, funds, funds... xD Oh well, a person can dream...

Anyhow, here is my Persona Pathos Lumie... I'm not sure if I've shown her here, with the dress :3

    34. Oh my gosh, that dress!! I love that style <3 And she's practically to the doorknob, oh my..

    35. Lumie looks amazing.

What do you all think of the new Elysia? I am not a fan. I am not sure why of all the looks they could have done they chose that look for her. I really cannot imagine that she will sell easily.

My Elysia should be here a month from now, I hope. :)

    36. I think she is a Halloween influenced offering. Dollmore does a lot of Halloween type dolls. I'm not sure if they care if they all sell. A lot of people on facebook have said they liked the dress and wig, so some may order her and ask them to omit the faceup.

    37. What do you all do to make your Trinitys stand better? I usually hot glue suede or wire but I'm hesitant to do that with my Klaire. (Maybe because she costs so much!)

    38. @Dark Angel Personally I don't do anything; sometimes I balance her against stuff, but otherwise I keep my Lumie on a stand/sitting somewhere. I haven't had any success getting her to stand on her own. Sueding would probably help, but I can only imagine how strong wire would have to be to make much of a difference :|

    39. @Cennie I can get her to stand on her own but if I so much as breathe, down she goes! I think it's her ankles.

Does anyone know of a doll stand (besides the one that Dollmore sells) that will fit these giant girls?

    40. From what I have heard, the Dollmore one is worth the money and there really aren't any alternatives. Hopefully someone else can chime in! My girl's not here yet so I can't help much at all. :sweat

    41. I've scoured the net myself looking for a decent stand, but as of yet I haven't found any that match the size and weight of the Dollmore stand. The only other one I have that comes close is just a standard stand for Lusion-size dolls. Theoretically, they could stretch up enough to fit a Trinity, too, but they aren't nearly heavy enough to handle the weight of a Trinity. The Dollmore stand is so pricey because it's HEAVY. A very weighty, solid base and the pole is also very solid. They're made to hold heavy dolls like a Trinity. I was lucky enough to receive one for free when I picked up my Elysia from Dollism the other year. I think the stand itself is well worth the money. It's just the SHIPPING that'll probably get your pocketbook where it hurts. Since the stand is so heavy, the shipping definitely isn't cheap.

      • x 1
    42. @Stormlight Yup, that's what I figured. I don't mind spending the money on the stand, but the shipping, ugh. Oh well, maybe one day. I've also been thinking about making my own stand out of wood. But we'll see.

    43. I made the one I use; it has a wooden base, but the rest is copper pipes. A little clunky-looking, but it's pretty sturdy and not too hard to do, if you have access to the right tools.

    44. It is great to see this Elysia-she is very pretty.

      I

I would love to see your stand. I have wondered about what kinds of stands people are using for the Trinity dolls.

    45. @Cennie I would like to see your stand, if you don't mind. I was thinking of just using some kind of string/ribbon to tie her against the back post. What do you do?

    46. Sorry it took me a while to get to this, @Dark Angel, @furbikini; I realized I didn't have a picture, so I had to take a few :sweat You'll have to forgive the messy room.

Anyway, my stand is designed to be pulled, so it has some extra poles for stability, and rather large casters (mostly hidden by the dorky fringe). Lumie can balance perfectly fine in the saddle stand part when it's not moving, and the back pole has a strap attached that holds her in place when it is :3nodding: Wooden base, copper pipes riveted together and drilled into the base, rather sloppily spraypainted to match.

      • x 5
    47. @Cennie, Now that is a stand! I love the casters! It would make it a lot easier to walk her around the house!

    48. I love that! That's one thing I'd love to have is a saddle stand. They'd probably be so much easier to wrestle the girls onto than the waist gripper. lol I wonder if I could make a suggestion to Dollmore to consider making a saddle stand for the Trinities, as well...

The casters are a great touch! That would definitely make it easier to get the girls around!

    49. @Cennie that is brilliant! I love it. Thank you for sharing.

    50. Thanks everyone ^^ It turned into a more industrial piece of work than I was really expecting, but the only thing I needed power tools for (besides a drill) was cutting the base, so it wasn't actually too high-level of a project, and the casters do make things easier.

    51. That is what I would do.

    52. That is a great stand! I may try to make something eventually, for a while at least my Elysia will probably just sit who knows where for a while when she comes. I do have an antique child's chair and hope she can use it.

    53. Child-size chairs are perfect for Trinities. I found an unfinished child's rocking chair at a craft store (got it for 50% off), painted it up and Tori fits in it perfectly. I also found a great stuffed chair on Amazon that holds a Trinity and a Lusion (though it is a tight fit). Not quite a loveseat, more like one of those oversized chairs. Wasn't that expensive, either, and it's mostly foam and light framing so it isn't heavy to move.

    54. Happy Halloween from Cami and me!
      (It's about as Halloween-y as I'm being this year. :( )

      • x 2
    55. That's very pretty! And she can get more use out of it than a Halloween outfit!

    56. Coming out of lurker mode to post my Golden Jude . . . bought her recently from ebay as she luckily matched how much I'd saved towards a Trinity. She's due to get a faceup soon as despite how pretty she is she's not my style . . .
