Dollmore Narsha what fits? Clothes, Shoes, Eyes, Wigs discussion

Apr 1, 2006

    1. I found these shoes fit Narsha- borrowed from my Cutie Delf:
      Crossroad for Cutie
      http://www.eluts.com/
and also these that are on clearance:
The fit is snug but works- my dilemma- where else can I get shoes that will fit my Alora -because she really likes boots. I found other pairs of Cutie Delf shoes won't work- like the shoes that tie on the side- and she has some shoes from a DOA member that I dunno what brand, and I was also wondering if JPOP doll shoes for petite ai would fit Narsha. THANX!

      ..Mod Notes....

    2. I have a Narsha boy, and he's sort of right in between MSD and Yo-SD size. He's generally too big for any of the Yo size clothes I have, though he can just squeeze into the Luts Cutie Delf boots I have. For the time being he wears clothes that belong to my MSD sized dolls and they're baggy. I think Narsha actually count as a Mini. :) For a pic comparison of Cory and Narsha, maybe try posting a request for them? Good luck!

      Cheers,
      Junkets

    3. There's some photos and info you might find useful at http://www.narshadoll.com/intro/

I've wanted a Narsha for a while, but can't decide whether I want a boy or a girl, so may end up getting twins! :)

    4. I adore my Narshas. I have had wonderful luck ordering shoes and boots for my girl that are 54mm/25mm. I bought most of them from Audrey's. While you're at it, the outfit my little girl is wearing is also from Audrey's. It is a Bleuette outfit and I have several that are a real good fit.

As far as my little boy is concerned, in this picture he is wearing Matt O'Neill jeans, a Ken shirt and Matt's shoes. Hope this helps.

    5. Can Narshas wear MSD sized shoes or Cutie Delf sized shoes?

    6. The difference in their feet is .6 cm. Normally you add 5mm to the foot to find the size, so most shoes are probably too small. If you buy shoes that are a tight fit on the larger doll, they would probably fit the smaller with socks

    7. So far I have only 2 pairs and a third too snug to fit easily for my little Alora- are there any ohter shoes you can suggest to help me find some for my Narsha? Also- jpopdolls shoes for cutie and petite ai don't fit her after all.

    8. Hiya! I am having a hard time finding shoes to fit my Narsha, and now I am trying to find clothing and shoes for my mom's Lati Yellow. I saw someone post this great site with lots of tiny shoes, but I have no idea what shoes I can get for Lati Yellow and for Narsha. I have seen shoes that fit petite ai and cutie delf but they are too big for Lati Yellow and too small for Narsha. Help!
Of course if you have other sites to reccommend, please do!
      http://www.thedollpage.com/marketplace/store.php?login=Jujus5gkids

    9. I use Riley Kish size shoes for my Yellow LaTi girls. Some fit better than others, the strapless slippers that are narrow are the best ones.

      Sabrina

    10. Riley shoes come in 2 sizes. Size 28 if the shoes are worn with socks, or size 25 if they aren't worn with socks. This is how it is with Lati Yellow, also. Size 28 fits Lati Yellow only if they are worn with socks, otherwise size 28 would be too big.
Size 25 fits them perfectly if they aren't wearing socks.
I have lots of Riley shoes, so I've been able to try these sizes on my Lati Yellow.

I'm going to post a copy of this in the Lati Yellow Clothing thread, so we can keep all this information together.

    11. I'd like to know too, if there are more then just the Riley shoes that fit.

    12. For Riley shoes and other tiny shoes try this link..
      http://denverdoll.com/shoerack.htm

They are very good with helping folks and knowledgeable and offer excellent customer service! Hope this helps.. :)

    13. I have been searching the old posts for Narsha info and pictures, but still have a few questions. The measurements database list eyes at 12, 13, or 14 mm, which ones fit best? Do Tonner Betsy Mccall clothes fit really well, any other commercially available clothes that fit them? (I don't sew, can barely use Elmers glue!). The Dollmore site listed wig size as 7, but again the database listed wig size as 6.5? Where is a good place to find wigs in a youthful style for this doll? Does anyone sew clothing for this doll? And last, please post your Narsha pictures!! She is so pretty!
      Thanks so much!

    14. IMHO the smallest eye size is always best, because you see more white so it looks more natural. Sorry I can't help you with anything else, I just want a Narsha, I don't have one. Yet.

    17. I think ocean-girl has a narsha. Perhaps try searching in the gallery section?

    18. Just saw this notice on Dollmore -- I know that some people have had trouble sourcing outfits for Narsha, since she's an "in-between" size -- hope this is helpful!

P.S. Dollmore has just started selling Narsha-specific outfits, which should help in the clothing search ^_^

    20. I need to force myself to use my new camera more often to get used to it, so I can post some pictures of my Narsha girl. But I can tell you that both Mattel's Teen Trends clothing fits her, as do the Friends 2B Made outfits for their smaller doll line. And the prices on these two lines are very reasonable too. :) I haven't tried any of 14 inch Betsy McCall clothing on her, but they may very well work too. Oooh...must get my Betsy out of storage and see!;) As for the wig size, she shares the same size as my Volks SDC Kaede. Hope this info helps you! Happy shopping! :D

      Hugs, Juli DC :daisy

    21. I have a little Narsha boy, and he's a darling. My Prinz Gamble wears 14mm eyes...I wasn't as keen on 12mm for him, but that's a personal preference. As for clothes, I will confess to having a hard time. I'm delighted that Dollmore will be offering some outfits specifically for Narsha...what are the chances of boy clothes? ;)

He's sized between my Yo-SD and MSD, and his unique build makes him a tough one to dress. He can wear Yo tops, and also some 1/6 shirts (such as those made for Mattel's Ken). His wider hips let him keep MSD sized pants up; they serve as capri type trousers. I'm guessing it's easier to dress a girl Narsha. :) As for wigs, they can wear the 6-7, though the wig I have is Kid Delf and it's a bit big. I fix that by keeping a little hat on him. He's getting quite a hat collection, actually.

      And here's a pic:

    22. My Narsha girl, Alora is super good at posing and DOllmore does such a good job at the faceup and tiny detailing to her fingernails and toes. There is a Narsha database too. I am still having probs finding her some shoes- she only had 3 pairs so far.
Alora wears all her sister's MSD clothing- only sometimes sleeves need to be cuffed and jeans may be a bit large. As for eyes- I find it's kinda hit or miss- some 16 mm eyes work for her, better luck mostly with 14 mm....same with wigs from different companies- Alora wears the same MSD wigs my Narae, Nerilka wears...and also some other MSD wigs, and some Cutie Delf ones too.

These are 14mm glass Dollshe eyes that had come with my Bernard:
Here Alora is wearing F2BM jeans that fit my MSD's like capri pants- and the sneakers are MSD and too big, but look ok with baggy jeans.

She is not 'white' skinned, but she is still very pale.

It's amazing how a change of eyes and wigs can make her look so different.

    23. I have a narsha, and I got her a betsy mccall outfit, and it fits great! They only thing you have to rember is that the bjd arms are longer than the non-jointed dolls, so long sleeves don't work to well. but short sleve or sleeveless woks great!:)

    24. Hi :sweat

I love the Narsha dolls - girls and boys. I only have a Narsha boy and it's soooo hard to dress him. He'd actually LOVE a pair of sneaks, jeans and a hoodie . . . know where I can find those items to fit?

Anyhoo . . . I posted photos of him over at the Narsha database . . . and he's not very happy with me because I dressed him as a girl for the photoshoot . . . come see please!!

    25. To those of you with Narsha's ... any problems with yellowing? I read on another thread about this issue and was wonderng how widespread the problem is? I was considering ordering a Narsha and want to be informed. I also noticed that the original poster of this thread toydoz4 has sold her Narsha recently here on DOA and wondered if maybe the yellowing problem was the reason?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me. I have been wanting a Narsha for a while and am just now ready to buy. :)

    26. No, not due to yellowing. Narsha was my first BJD and she is wonderful. I sold her because once I received my Roxy Lucy and Yam it reinforced in me the fact that I love and prefer the really tiny dolls to play with. And I have a room full of pretty shelf sitters already, so since she was only two weeks old, I felt it was best to sell her. I am in fact now regretting it, because my Mother in Law came to visit, and fell in love with Narsha. I may end up rebuying her as a gift for MIL.
As for yellowing, I haven't had mine long enough to tell.
      Deborah

    27. The jeans and capris from FRIENDS 2B MADE are PERFECT for NARSHA!!!!!!!!!!
I just thought I would pass this on because they work great and are a wonderful length for her and the waist is a good fit too! Now all I need is to find some shoes to fit my Narsha!

    28. Hey fellow Narsha owners!

Shoes aren't hard to find for her EXCEPT at BJD companies!!!
You gotta hit ebay or any of the "normal" doll supply companies (Antina's/Dollspart/Monique/Kemper, etc).

Her shoe size is 2" X 1", which is quite easy to find!

      Raven

    29. I have another bit of information for Narsha owners!
Apprently Narsha also fits into some unoa clothes!

I thought they'd be way too small...but the shirt fits perfect, better than it did on my mini fee. The leggings fit like capris though, a little long. But its still cute. XD

    30. Hey Talis, congratualtions on your Narsha, they are beautiful dolls. Here's mine, with a Volks MSD and a Narae, and a Naripon
      [IMG]
They can also wear Custom House Little Junior clothes. as you can see they are quite a bit shorter than MSD, and taller than YOs.

    31. Hi Talis,

I echo Stella Maris' congrats on your Narsha! :) I have Black Melody Narsha, who I've named Angelica. She's currently wearing a Mattel Teen Trend outfit, and Luts boots. Mattel's Teen Trends outfits can be found at TOYS R US, KB TOYS, FAO, and occassionally Target and Walmart (mostly when more toys are stocked for Christmas). As Stella wrote and has pictured above, Narsha is taller than both Yo-SD and Petite Ai, but shorter and a bit slimmer than Volks MSD. Narsha and Volks SDC (Super Dolfie Cute) can share clothing and wigs, but I think Narsha's feet are a teensy bit smaller. Narsha also fits many of the Friends 2B Made outfits, which can be found online (www.friends2Bmade.com), or in some Build-A-Bear stores. For simple shoes try Monique Trading, and Antalinas Doll Supply, you'll have to Google for their websites, as I'm without my bookmarks on this borrowed computer. Congrats again, and happy shopping! :)

      Hugs, Juli DC :)

    32. No, you'd be better off going with smaller MSD size outfit than with Yo. For comparison:

      Narsha with MSD
      [IMG]

Leeke Sweet, which is similar scale to Yo, with MSD
      [IMG]

Narsha is much bigger than the Yo set...the shorts my Narsha is wearing are from a Friends 2 B Made outfit, and those are pretty reasonably priced. You might also try Teen Trends items.

    33. I find that as far as my lil Narsha boy goes, I dress him in Yo shirts and MSD bottoms (though long MSD shorts are just about normal trouser length on him).

    34. I've got LOTS of F2BM outfits for her and my MNF. As well as my Tonner stuff (some of which fits quite well) and the assorted Teen Trends things I have. Betsy McCall's clothes don't suit her. What I'm after are the basics like a well made pair of jeans. I'll just keep plugging away. Thanks all!

    35. I am so new to this and I feel like such a n00b... but I've done a lot of searches and just can't find what I'm looking for... I keep searching in the market place to find clothes that'll fit my Narsha but there are just no threads specifically for Narsha... So my question is, what other dolls are the same fit as my Narsha. What other dolls can I search for in the market to find clothes for my Narsha? I know the Friends to be Made line will fit her but I don't like any of the clothes on their site right now. Plus I'd like to know for future knowledge. So, can anyone help me out please?

      List So Far:

      Friends To Be Made
      Custom House Little Junior
      Minoruwold Junior
      Dollmore
      Madame Alexander (14")
14" Kish (Lark, Piper, and Raven)

      14" Betsy McCall

    36. In the Narsha discussion thread it's said that she fits into clothes by Dollmore, Custom House Little Junior, and Minoruworld Junior stuff. Does this mean you're keeping your Narsha :)

    37. The 14' betsy McCall doll clothes by Tonner fit like a charm! I once owned a narsha. Also Friends 2B made fit too!

    38. Oh? Is that a different doll line?

    39. Betsy is a vinyl doll, like Gene and Tyler (and Barbie). You should be able to find clothing for Betsy through standard doll stores or on eBay...since she's a little more mainstream than BJDs, there should be more out there. I know FAO carried things for her (when we had an FAO here :( ).

Thanks for the tip, julipinetree. I'll have to go see what's available, my poor Hana has very little clothing in her wardrobe.

Edit: She comes in two sizes, so make sure any outfit you're considering getting is meant for the 14" version, and not the 8".

    40. Ah I see. Thank you. *adds*

    41. Daily Bump

    42. The Tonner Doll Company has been selling their version of 14" Betsy McCall (who is actually closer to 12") for more than 10 years & there are tons of outfits & patterns available for her. The TDC club doll "Child Jane" uses the same body as Betsy. Berdine Creedy's 13" vinyl "BJDs" can share outfits with Betsy, and presumably with Narsha. Some of the knit Groovy Girl outfits (they have cute tshirts) also fit Betsy, although I guarantee their pants will not go over Narsha's thighs. Tonner also produces the "Mrs. Willowby's Class" dolls, which are slightly shorter & tubbier than Betsy, and its subsidiary Effanbee sells 14" Toni dolls who are in the same size range. Finally, Kish & Company has just introduced a new line of 14" vinyl not-quite-BJDs which are selling *really* well to collectors. All of these models are popular enough that eBay or www.thedollpage.com should get you quite a few hits.

But if you like the Old-Fashioned Girl look, you might want to check out outfits available for the antique doll called Bleuette, who celebrated her hundredth birthday in 2005. Most Bleuette dresses also fit Betsy, although I've had to slash open tight sleeve cuffs to accommodate Betsy's larger modern hands (and of course Narsha's hands & feet are even larger than Betsy's). The best part is that Bleuette was intended as a doll to teach little girls sewing, so there are 100 years of patterns available for her, most of them very adaptable & easy enough even for beginners.

Now that I've been lured to the BJD Side, I'm very interested in getting a Narsha of my own, but that won't be financially possible before Xmas at the earliest. But I'd love to see more pictures of her!

    43. Oh thank you so much! I just got my wisdom teeth taken out so I'm not feeling well but I'll give you some Narsha picture links later. ^_^

    44. Daily Bump

    45. Hope you're feeling better today! I'm so bad, I'm searching for outfits for a non existant Narsha now, LOL. All I need............

    46. I actually just commissioned member Sylphide to make a Narsha size dress for me, her work is amazing. You do have to sit on top of her thread though because she does not do a ton of stuff. That said, other commissioners may be willing to do clothes for Narsha.

    47. Ingie: Wow... sorry, haha Oh and thanks so much, I'm oddly feeling worse (probably 'cause I've been awake unlike that past couple days, haha)

Stella: I wanted to actually avoid that... I was just curious to see if there was different dolls I could put into the searches and find already finished products. I'm horrible with waiting, haha

    48. Clothes for the new 14" Kish dolls like Lark, Piper and Raven should work and clothes for them should be appearing. If I have time to get Narsha out, I will try Lark's dress on her.

    49. I checked out Lark's measurements against Narsha's a few weeks back, and Narsha is quite a bit slimmer. Nothing a few nips and tucks on the patterns for Lark wouldn't cure though. Narsha remains on my wishlist :)

    50. I have a Boneka dress I bought for my Kish Lark that was made/fitted on a Narsha and it's almost a perfect fit (just a little long in the sleeves)

      http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f190/guyelfkin/Dolls/P8260154.jpg
      http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f190/guyelfkin/Dolls/P8260152.jpg
      http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f190/guyelfkin/Dolls/P8130103.jpg

The third picture shows the extra length of sleeve - it's not much.. and only applies on long-sleeves stuff, so probably even long sleeve stuff for the 14" Kish dolls would fit Narsha OK.

This outfit isn't part of boneka's regular line (yet) but they have several items for the 14" Kish dolls on their website
      http://www.boneka-dollfashion.de/ep...=/Shops/61533279/Categories/Puppenkleidung/36

and even a couple listed for Narsha.
      http://www.boneka-dollfashion.de/ep...Shops/61533279/Categories/BJD-Kleidung/Narsha

EDITED TO ADD: I've seen several pretty outfits for the 14" kish girls come up on E-bay in the last few weeks too.

      Hope this helps

      Teddy

    51. Ah! So much good information, thank you greatly Teddy! Sadly I don't speak... anything other than English, but E-Bay is a great place so I can check it out there. Thank you!

      Thanks everyone! <3

    52. These jeans look great, but if Narsha is slimmer (but someone else said chubbier thighs?? How would jeans made for 14" Kish, but are "too large for Tonner dolls" fair? Your opinions please, and why the heck am I looking for clothes for a doll I don't have yet? LOL

    53. Me neither

Fortunately, however, the Boneka website has both an English and an American option and the girl who runs it (Kayotic, here on DoA) is fluent in English.

    56. I have a Narsha, she was my first BJD and has been with me since September 2006, I love her to bits! If you are getting a Narsha, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I make clothes for her and have a commissions thread here on DOA in the Marketplace. But if you'd like to see some photos of my girl, here are some links to her albums.....
