Dollmore Narsha and Friends Discussion Part 2

Oh, I thought that maybe, shoes make 5.2 cm. Too bad !
The thing is, that I look for pumps like Tata's Paradise, simple and black.
My Narsha will be a bit of a pin up, retro, you know what I mean !

 

Dollmore sells feet for their YoSD "dear doll" and somebody on here bought a pair and stuck them on their Narsha. That way they CAN wear Yo shoes.

 

I have the Leeke yosd black pumps and there is no way they would fit on Narsha. I tried and I couldn't even get the toes in.

I don't know about the Tata's Paradise shoes.

 

I did the same thing as the one who first bought the feet, it is awesome!
Since they are wearing shoes you don't really notice the smaller feet :3

 

oh what a great idea. better than mine of having her wear msd shoes which tend to look somewhat clownish on msds! does that mean you can order the feet separately opr do you just have to steal them from your dear doll?

Hey all! I just recently got my Zihu, and I need to change her wig. I was wondering what size wig she wears, though, since on the Dollmore website, it only says '7'. Does she do better with a 6/7 or a 7/8?

Here's a pictureof the wig they sent me. It's really lovely, only it's the wrong colour. I didn't realize she'd come with one, or else I'd just request a dark wig from Dollmore.

 

i have a shabee and she fits into 6/7 wigs perfectly. since she came with the identical wig to your girl i would guess zihu does too. by the way she is lovely. is that a default face up or custom?

Do you know that you can dress your Narsha at Iplehouse too ? Their KID line has same size, and clothes are good on our lovely Narsha !
The only one problem : Narsha hands are bigger than KID hands, and to put some clothes I had to remove hands !

Because I am a Narsha lover and an Iplemaniac, I bought KIDs... ^^'

Do you know if there are comparisons photos about KID and Narsha in DoA ? I put my photos on the French forum, but not here, because I don't know if there is somebody doing this before me.
And I tried to hybridize Narsha and KID, and it is good ! ^^

I don't have a Narsha yet, but I'm planning to get one (preferably early next year :P). At this point I only have a pair of boots for him . He'll be a Zihu boy...

Oh Sigune, happy planning! If you need help finding clothes and shoes we can help. I bought a pair of sneakers and sandals (we do live in south florida), when I get them I'll take lots of pictures to show them off. Mostly to show if they work out or not!

Toby got shoes! Wow, this lady ships them out quick!


He's not sure how he feels about them. :/ Toby hasn't wore shoes since I got him, so he doesn't really like them except when it's cold. Well, it's getting cold and I suppose it works.
One more of the sneakers.

The sneakers fit a little loose on him, which is good and means he can wear socks with them.


The sandals he's ok with, I think he likes them more than the sneakers. They fit snug and look good on him, I'm really happy with both pairs.

Moony, advice would certainly be welcome! I don't have two dolls that are the same, and I have nothing for Lovell so far except those boots... -Also, if dolls have such cute feet, there are quite a few things to be said for sandals .

Heika, I didn't know about the Narsha meet at Ldoll ^_^. I vaguely thought about going there this year, but I didn't know anyone who was going and I didn't feel like being there all on my lonesome :/. Maybe I should start checking it out earlier this time around and plan a short holiday - I've never been to Lyon before.

Deb's Adorables on Ebay, she ships super fast. I bought his shoes on Monday and I got them Wensday! The link goes directly to the narsha sized-ish section, which is the Kish 14" Piper/Wren/Lark area.

Sandals are snug, while the sneakers are loose enough to let them wear socks which is good for me!

Remember! Kish 14" Lark/Piper/Wren = Narsha Sized shoes.

Thanks, auntbear! I wish I could take credit for her sweet outfit, but I'm just a beginner seamstress. I actually purchased this on eBay for one of my 13" vinyl Effner Studio Little Darlings. Since I have 10 of the Little Darlings, I'm so glad they can share some clothes! (IH Lonnie can also share some clothes with the LDs).

And BTW: The shoes she's wearing are sized to fit the 14" Kish girls and they are from Boneka and hand embroidered.

I may lurk here for awhile looking at the pretties. I've wanted a Narsha since my first year in dolls and I think I might have one now XD
I'm "borrowing" him from a friend who doesn't do anything with him (he's actually a boy modded to a girl that I made a boy again), poor thing didn't even have a name! I finally came up with an excuse to get one and wanted to see how it would work out....She offered to sell him too me, so he may never leave XDD

He's a Zihu btw, and soooooo freaking cute X33 I love his hands! I'm a little shocked at how small the eyes are though. I have 10mm in right now and honestly I think they could go smaller if 8s wouldn't just fall right out XD

I noticed the shoe conversation...my friend who "technically" still owns him bought a bunch of Goodreau shoes, they fit perfectly and are amazingly well made. I inherited a pair that he's wearing now...

I'm actually considering a Zihu girl next year, I'd just love to know how well they fit into YoSD clothes as I have a bad habit of picking those up whenever I see a pretty one (i.e. a lot of Soom MD ones xD) and since I don't like the YoSD it'd be awesome if they Narsha body could fit into them.
Does anyone have any data regarding this?

Currently I only have one Narsha. Here she is. Face up by LilyGami. I also have one Narsha body with a Dollmore Kid head (hybrid). But thinking of getting another Narsha head. Either the sleepy head or Shabee. Does anyone know If you can get get the head from Dollmore?

As far as YO stuff goes, I think it's mostly going to be too small. I was going to put a coat on mine that my YO wears and when I held it up to him, the arms of the coat barely made it to the elbows of Zihu. The outfit he's wearing now fits a YO size, but is very large on them. It's a little tight on the Zihu, and the sleeves are again, a little short, the pants don't button on the thighs, but honestly it looks pretty good. But things like DH or RL...probably not going to be a good fit.

As a nice size comparison...(ok not nice, the photo is awful D: but the sizes are mostly accurate, if you take in consideration the YO sized boy has platforms on and the DMK has boots >.< )


The boy in front is on a LTF body, so he's about average as far YO sized size goes.

I know you can buy just Narsha or sleepy Narsha heads....I would ask Dollmore. They sometimes respond well to a little poking (I got a head from them they didn't sell separately). The only problem with Narshas is that since they aren't sculpted by Dollmore they may not have permission to sell the other heads...

The face up on my Narsha was done by Lilygami aka Sally Chandler. She has done a few for me. I do have a hard time finding the right fit for Narsha when it comes to clothing. I've tried the 14inch Kish, but still not the right fit. I don't sew. This is one reason why my Narsha is a bit neglected. But I was on the Dollmore site earlier and saw a couple things I might add to my dolly wish list. It's getting to the point that when you purchase a BJD (and don't sew) you need to purchase their clothing from that same company as there are way to many sizes out there and very hard to find that true fit.

I think Slim Mini stuff should work. I pulled a few shirts out last night and when I held them up they looked like they'd be fine. I didn't try then on because the first outfit I tried was so cute I didn't want to change it XD

The good thing is that even if I end up buying Slim Mini stuff for the Narsha that ends up not fitting, my entire collection consists of Slim Minis and MSDs so there's always someone who can wear it xD

there may be more clothes for narsha coming available in the next while. iplehouse brought out their kid line this year and the two are really close in size. ( i have both and i know a couple of people on the kid thread do as well) the kids are really popular so that should hopefully lead to a surge in clothing in this size. i know it's inspiring me to sew for/play with my girl again. she was always the odd one out so it was hard before.

 

...Because seven dolls (= not counting four alternate heads) in just one year is sufficiently excessive? If I order him on 1 January 2013, it will be 'Next Year' and I will tell myself I have some self-control left ...

I'm debating with myself whether or not to order seam sanding and a (custom) face-up. How are the seams on these pretties? My Dollmore Alex has seams and they bother me, but I'm too chicken to try and remove them.

As for the face-up, I'm torn between the fun I have doing my own face-ups and my dissatisfaction with my lack of skill :/.

 

Guys. Have you thought of the Kish shoes for the 14inch dolls? here is my Dollmore hybrid on a Narsha body wearing sneakers for the Kish 14inch dolls.

 

Does anyone have a Trouble Max Narsha? Would like to see pics.

 

i have a deardoll and a narsha and didn't get the sanding on either. too be honest i've never even checked the seams, so i don't know if you can see them or not. the way they come unsanded looks fine to me. i figure if i've never noticed them one way or the other they can't be too bad right? (i was a bit concerned when i first saw the sanding service offered since none of my other dolls have that as an option, and thought the lines would be really bad without it, but they aren't)

I don't even want to know how many I ended up with this year!

Seams don't really bother me. It was a long time before I had a doll that came with them, and I was put off at first, but I don't even notice them anymore. Most of my DM dolls (including both Zaoll bodies) have them. I only paid for removal on two of my Kara Klums (though both WS ones came without them for some reason...) and my Pado and then I kinda forgot about it.

Basically, I don't think they're bad, but if it bothers you it might be worth it. Just be aware that it will take much longer to get your doll if you do order it.

Not quite finished yet, but I redid the face up on the Zihu, and blushed his body and hands and feets. I can't wait to get him back together!!

About it : they are good clothes for Narsha, but the Narsha hands are a little too big to the sleeves. I had to remove hands before wearing my dolls.

So I was just on the IH site looking at the Kid clothing. So. The kid clothing fits Narsha? Even the pants? What is everyone's opinion?
