Well actually, I was torn among Miro, Torrie, and Flocke before... I don't understand why I suddenly told myself that Isaac is the one, really! But then again, seeing her just makes me happy. I think she's very exceptional.

Yeah Isaac is amazing. My favourite DM kids would be Isaac, Paran, Asha, Ciel and Torrie. Miro is not among my favourites. But I like her because she looks lilke she could be my Minimee Mana-Sama`s biological daughter. That is the reason why I`m getting her. Well of course I also like her a lot. I would not have put her on my wish list if I did not.
I got like 6 SD dolls, 2 MSD dolls (will be 3 with the Miro girl I am saving up for), 1 tiny and 1 anthro. But I realize that sooner or later I will no longer be able to resist getting more DM kids.

Why can`t Dollmore release suntan Dollpire hands to. Or suntan vampires. Suntan vampires sounds cool to me. If they did I would maybe think about getting a suntan cat girl or boy to. They`re fangs could be they`re little cat teeths.

 

Sorta joining in conversation here, I ordered a DM body the other day :3 For my Unoa head. I think I've more or less decided at some point I want a NS Cecil and a crap ton of their tan kids, starting with Asha.

Manabusama: Something about sun killing vampires and suntan just don't go together XD Not that sun tan vamps wouldn't be awesome. They could be black people vampires!

 

Everyone think vampires must be pale just because that is how they are pictured. But if a dark skinned person got bitten and turned into a vampire, he or she would still be dark skinned right. I doubt they would turn white when they are dark skinned to begin with. I would have loved the thought of a dark skinned vampire. Very different from how people think it should be. I would have so loved to make a dark skinned DM kid Dollpire into a cat kid. With those little fangs^^

Ah I just came to think about something. I could have gotten a suntan DM kid. Get NS Dollpire hands. And blush parts of the hands brown so it looks like paws with a little different skin color. That would have been so cool. Maybe I can get a suntan cat girl after all. Getting a suntan cat girl was one of the first things I thought about when I first turned my Vanilla into a cat girl. I don`t know if anyone remember. But a long time ago I was talking about how I wanted my Vanilla to have a suntan cat girl twin Vian and name her Chocolat. Maybe I could actually do that now. All I had to do was blush the Dollpire hands a bit Why did I not think about that before

Anyone think Dollmore would blush the Dollpire hands for me to fit a suntan DM kid better. If I explained to them about the suntan cat girl thing? The hands don`t have to be same color as the doll. After all they are going to be paws.

 

I just ordered Vanilla the Dollpire hands I talked about getting her. And the smallest cat ears Dollmore have. I think that the cat ears she have now is a bit big for a cute little cat girl. Also I asked Dollmore to blush the Dollpire hands in human skin tone and not living dead vampire skin tone + painting the nails light pink. My girl loves pink. Pink and white is pretty much the only color she likes to wear

Great now I only need to get her a tail, and my Vanilla Will be all cat

 

They may. Do they offer suntanning for if you buy option hands? If they do that for their other option hands maybe they would for the cat hands :3

And yeah, I guess since you become a vampire as you are when you get bit, maybe if you're really tan you'll stay tan. (assuming that set of vampire lore is the one followed, as opposed to twilight lore, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where Angel's hair changes based upon the time period...)

I'd love a tan vampire doll I think. I'm getting quite attracted to the idea. I just wonder which mold. A tan Cecil vampire would be awesome, but I don't think they make even a tan Cecil... Maybe Pado... or Ttorie. Or Iassic (sp?) Bah. Goodbye, bank account.

 

I have actually asked Dollmore about suntan vampires before. And they said they would think about it. I bet they have probably forgotten about it now. I`m not interested in vampire dolls. But the idea of turning a vampire doll into a cat is what I find interesting^^

 

Haha, I love vampire dolls. Which makes it very sad that I don't have one. (I'd kill for two fairyland woosoo's though, a boy and a girl~ ) I wonder though... maybe I should ask DM for tanning vampires too! If enough people ask maybe they will~

 

Yes that would be great if you to would ask to. Like you said if more people asked about it, maybe Dollmore would consider it. I told them back then what a great idea suntanned vampires would have been since no other BJD company seem to have thought about it before. Dollmore could be the first to make suntanned vampires. If they ever do, I will so get one or two. It would be nice if they could make youth and Model doll vampires in suntan skin to. How can they not consider such a great idea If I was the owner of a BJD company, I would have made suntan vampires allready.

LOL, I love your and Nana's reasoning for what a vampire would look like That tickles me, cause we're all so nuts I do remember your plan for sister cats, I still think that would be adoreable I don't think you could get Dollmore to blush the hands, but you could get a faceup artist to do it. Just be careful with them 'cause the scratch easily. Better still, rather than blushing, a coat of acrylic paint might be a better solution? I don't know though

My daughter and partner in dolly crime won't let me get a vampire. She finds them scary, 'course she's only 9... Maybe when she's older LOL

 

I actually feel pretty ready now to order that suntan Vian. Only I decided to go for a boy instead, and make him Vanillas twin brother. I will do it as soon as I get more money in my pocket. Now that I have ordered Vanilla her vampire hands and everything, I felt like the time have come to get her that twin. It took a while to decide what to do. At one point I was not sure what I wanted. But now I know.

Vanilla is very exited to get a brother And I am very exited to get my very first DM kid boy.

I stopped by the Converse store yesterday to get a new pair of shoes and decided to pick up a pair for D while I was there.
Otherwise I knew he'd get jealous.

As much as this boy will deny it, he loves him some new shoes.



At this point, he owns more shoes than I do.

Haha I don`t have a kitty bed. But they got to borrow my big bed instead. But I guess that I better get a bed sooner or later because the cat twin`s master Manabu demand he`ll get a bed for him and his lover. I guess they could have had a little bed next to his. I`ll see what I`ll do. But there is not really much space for dollie beds in my room. If I buy a bed or make a bed it would only be for photostories purpose only. Sadly I would have to store the beds under my own bed when I do not use it for taking photoes.

Nana, congratulations! I would so love an army of tan Dollmore dolls! wouldn't that be awesome? I love my Rafel, who still hasn't been named??!! And my Pado still has no name! And I have a Lati blue Rucas and Minifee Rheia without names. Some have been here 2 months! What's wrong with me? Help! ROFL. I'm not letting my daughter name them though, no, this time I'm gonna do it! But I better do it fast because my daughter will be back from camp in a little over a week, and she'll end up naming them if I don't (and all her names are the same ) Ugh, typical, normal names, I want exotic names!!! ROFL

Rafel... Well, she could just keep the mold name? They come up with such cool names for their molds all the time

 

IngieBee: Exotic names reminds me of where I work. We have a whole army of Lori's, Cathy's, and Diane's, Dianna's, and Deanna's XD But then we also have exotic like a Virgil, and a Robin, who's granddaughter that she brought in is Temperance. It's like normal, and out there lol

 

It will be a little while longer before I can order Vanilla her suntan twin brother. I think I wanna wait until I at least have gotten my JID Benny home first. At least Vanilla is getting her kitty hands in the mail soon. But I am unsure about the tails. If my dolls are going to have tails I want it to look real. And I don`t want to sew the tails to they`re underwears. Or tie it around they`re waists. How can I make it look real? They`re tails would have to be stuck to they`re butts/ backs some how. If I made a small small small hole where the tail should be I could attach the tails with a little thread that goes in to they`re body. I dont think I should glue the tail on..

I don`t quite know what to do.. about these tails. Just the thought of drilling a little hole on my dolls sounds a bit scary. But I also know that I will love having them with tails that looks real. And looks like it grew out of they`re backs, and not just glued on or tied around the waists.

Maybe I should just forget about having cat tails on my twins.

 

You could glue a strong magnet inside the doll and add one to the end of the tail. It's easy to remove and you don't have to modify clothes.

 

Ah haha icedrop that was a good idea. I haven`t thought about that. A tail I guess should not be to hard to sew. Only I suck at sew stuff. And I hate to sew My only challenge now will be to find the right fur fabric to sew tails that match the colors of the twins hair.

I can`t wait until I can order her twin brother. I made a question on DMs Q&A board. Asking them if it was posible to get suntan Dollpire hands for my boy. If they could be so nice to do this for me and that it is kinda important to get him dollpire hands so he looks like his twin sister Vanilla. I hope they say yes. I will be so happy if they say yes that they can do that for me. It would mean so much to me.

Congrats The Duchess. I always had that problem with my two deliveries. My Miro came with a hole in the box. I could put my fist through it. How the clothes and freebies never fell out I will never know.

manabusama, one way you could do it is to drill a dimple on the inside of the body at the point the tail bone would be so as to insert a magnet, glue the magnet in, then make a tail with a magnet on the end that can attach on the outside. The reason for drilling is 1. to get a flat point to glue to and 2. to get the resin thin at that point so that the magnet will be strong. The thicker the distance between magnets, the weaker the hold. You could use a cylindrical stone grinder in perhaps a dremel tool?

Oh wow, The Duchess, Jaden is awesome! I love that suit! I tried to talk my darling daughter into one like that for her boy, but she laughed and thought it was silly (she's 9 YO) so she just doesn't know cuteness yet LOL. Maybe I'll buy it for him (er...her?) for Christmas, LOL. I bet she'll love it in the end! I seriously need to get food props!

I picked up the shishi statue at a thrift store. ::laughs:: I think it was 25 cents. It's made of resin, actually. xD I have a shishi incense burner, jade pendant, and a pair of wooden (?) ones. (I collect them and maneki neko. xD; ) Do you have photos of your tattoos?

Haha. xD Yeah, when I was her age, pretty boys held no interest for me either. xD If she doesn't like it full-set, she could always use the separate pieces for multiple dolls. :3 Like, the lacy semi-transparent blouse could probably fit well on a girl doll. :3

As for the food erasers... Another thing I collect. xD I got a huge amount of them when I was over in Japan. They sold very, very cheap. xD And then I've picked up a few more over the years. I never took them out of their packages until the night of the shoot. xD;

Quick question, did everyone else's kids come really really tightly strung? My body is super tight and kicky. (maybe I'll restring her tonight...)

Yay Vanilla got her Dollpire hands today. With light pink nailsAnd her new small cat ears looks so much more better on her than the large cat ears she had on before. I would loved to post some pictures right away but I have to load my camera first. Battery got empty. She looks so cute I made her little cat ears point downwards.

 

My Pado came quiet tightly strung, but I like to take apart all my dolls when I first get them so I can wash them thoroughly, so there isn't any left over resin dust on them. So once I restrung him a little looser, he was perfectly fine. (Though I always manage to somehow injure myself while restringing...)

 

I asked for suntanned Dollpire hands for the suntan Vian boy I am saving up for. And they said no But I came to think about something. There are so many kinds of fur types on cats. And I started thinking that what if I asked Dollmore if they could make a beige kinda spot around his eye. And get them to body blush a pair of NS Dollpire hands in brown. I dont mean blush the hands so they get as brown as the body. But blush it so it looks like his hands are supposed to look like that. And he could have his nails painted brown like his body. Like some black cats have white paws. He is a darkskinned boy. He could have paws in a different color than his body. After all my twins are going to be as much cat as possible so getting a spot around his eye, different colors on his hands only be cool. It`ll be pretty different from human dolls but that is what is so cool

I can`t wait until I can finnaly order him now. Oh I gotta save up quick

bulletsBANQ Have you thought of buying a DM kid head that have the 4 different ears and keep the ears you need and sell the head with the ears you don`t need. At least that way you will get the ears for him.

Sine I could not get the suntanned Dollpire hands I had to think of another way to make him into that cat boy.It`ll be better than no paws for him. If I were you I would have bought that DM kid head with the 4 ear types just to get my boy his ears^^

I love DM sculpts so muuuch! I wish they'd make more vampires (my first 2 dolls are vampies). I'm not so keen about the bodies though....the elbows look weird.

Thanks manabusama. :3 I hope you get your kitty figured out. I'm a bit disappointed too that they won't do the dollpire hands in tan. I'm eventually going to have a tan wolf boy and the hands would be great for him.

Nana - I'm unfortunately not familiar enough with stringing to know for sure, but I think my Sona came fairly well-strung. (Which seems surprising as mostly I hear people get their Kids and complain that the elastic was too tight.) It felt like the elastic on my Zaoll was tighter. And the Sona doesn't do a lot of kicking. Just some chest popping if I'm not careful. xD;

 

A tan wolf boy sounds so cool^^. That I would have loved to see. Just to bad about the Dollpire hands. Why they can`t make suntan Dollpire hands when they do have sun tanned dolls, I do not understand. It would have made things so much more easier for us who have tanned dolls.

You know what. because of the dollpire hand trouble Maybe I should just ask them to paint the dolls nails dark brown instead. And make him a puppy boy instead. He could have those doggy ears from dollmore. That actually could have been real cool. A cat and a dog together in love or something. But then I would not make them twins. But that could actually be something. I might just do that instead

BTW, even if Dollmore won't do the hands the way you'd like, I'm certain you could find a faceup artist that will do it! Get a lot of layers of MSC on it to seal it and be careful with them. Hands seem to scratch up faster than other parts of the body!

Nana, maybe I'm not picky? Maybe not experienced enough, 'cause all my dolls from all the different manufacturers, seem to be strung just right?? I can't believe it's luck though... My DM dolls, including my daughter's, do dislocate at the knee all the time though! I plan on wiring one day... soon....

bulletsBANQ, to be honest, I think Dollmore runs their shop differently than other shops. I believe they pour parts and have them in stock, or at least parts in boxes or something until an order comes in, where it is assembled, painted and shipped. I think my daughter's dolls had minute color differences (probably due to actual differences in age of the parts). So I believe the suntan has already been poured / made and they can't match it anymore, so they can't make the hands to order. I think that's the problem.

I'll disagree with you, Urushi-Kitty, I wish their knees were so nice as their elbows! I think they function really well while looking pretty darn good (they are double jointed, so you do end up with that kind of look with any double jointed elbow) Why they didn't do the knees like that, I'll never know!!!

Nana, I think that turned out really great. the match looks very good on my monitor!

Errrr, if it helps, manabusama, LOL, my chiwahwah and cat curl up together and go to sleep together in the dog's bed all the time, LOL, too funny!
