Everyone's Yoyos are so super-cute! (Prettyinplastic, your twins are to die for ) And congrats, hana! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new arrival! Yoyo is the first BJD I ever fell in love with, and I'm hoping to bring her home if not by Christmas then early in the new year. Of course after falling for her, WenWen, YanYan and Ke quickly stole my heart too...hehe...but I'm a fan of nautical outfits so Yoyo's fullset is too adorable to resist!! It's lovely to see that the 1/6 tinies are so popular. I was a bit afraid when I first dipped my toes into the BJDverse that only 1/4 dollies and bigger would be accepted in the community; thankfully that's not the case!
Everybody's dolls are so beautiful *__* Nin (my Yoyo) and I are here to say goodbye to you guys. I put Nin up for sale at a local BJD Forum and am hoping she will find a new home soon, were she gets more attention than here with me. I still love the sculpt and the poseability of the body but somehow since my baby boy is born the two of us simply do not work anymore. Wig by Leeke. Eyes by Safrindoll, dress handmade by me
Yoyo seems to be a really popular DL sculpt DL yo bodies are really possible as well and stand sturdy (my little pumpkin does at least). I'm sure you'll love her if you decide on her and look forward to seeing what you have planned
So, my DL girl is currently (hopefully) enjoying her mailing trip to get home to me...I bought her off Alice's Collections site. I'm a tad confused...on that site she's listed as 'You You style 2', but the same doll is called 'Grapefruit' on Mint on Card. Which one is it?! Haha, my poor little Rosica won't know what she is when she arrives! She's my first Yo-SD. Never thought I'd be as interested in those, cause I love SD sized dolls, but I couldn't resist her, or the OD Yo-SD I have on layaway. Kept seeing so many pictures of this sized dolls and now they've grown on me!
yes, they changed the names for Yoyo but it's still the same sculpt! ^^ I was a little bit confused at first too, but it's definitely the same girl just with an other outfit (the sailor dress)! :3 congrats to your own little girl!
Super excited. MoC has DL now o3o Or maybe they already did and I just noticed because I want one now. Either way, Very exciting!
Here she is. Not the best picture but it was dark out. I've ordered her a wig so she won't be bald for to terribly long.
Everyone's dollies are so cute! Im thinking about getting a YoYo. I have a question: What is the white resin like? Is it paperwhite? Or is it a cream white? If it is cream, does it have a pink or yellow cast to it? I'd like to get a white resin YoYo, but I'd like to know what the white resin is like first. Thank you!
Hi Everyone!!!! Wow, I almost over indulged on cuteness reading this thread!!!!!!!! Each and everyone looks so sweet, I could eat them! Muahhh muahhhh hhaaa. Joking! I am eyeing YiYi but have not seen an owner pic yet. She reminds me of my grandmother's smile. Anyhoo, are these little ladies easy to dress? My sewing skills are still too immature to try for anything this small yet. I am hoping the standard yosd is generally the way to go. Thanks for all the eyecandy!!!
I couldn't let this pass by so here is Yida, a pink skin Yiyi: Default faceup, new (glass) eyes, missing eyelashes, FL LTF wig, dress from I-don't-remember. They're a little larger than Fairyland Littlefee so standard yo-sd clothes fit pretty well I think. Yiyi has a smallish head though; a number of my 6-7 wigs swim on her and she can wear quite a few 5-6 wigs.
ktk8 - Thank you! She is so, so cute! I'm glad you included the details of her ensemble. I like how she's so content looking there she's almost smug. Those little bows in her hair are almost too much sweetness! About wigs, do the Fairyland wigs fit well? I take it she's really a size 6 for wigs. I can understand the frustration there as one of my boys is an 8 so he is hard to fit well. Thanks again for sharing your sweet little girl!
Wigs... hmm... well, that one fits well and so does my blond-bob FL wig, yes. But I have another (long black) that is too loose. I would say she is right on the 6 line, yep. She is sweet.
Alright! If I know when I can get her, I will order wigs from FL. I'm saving for a dolly con in St. Louis next November. Maybe my husband will buy her for me before then. If not, I will gift her to myself at some point. I really want her though! It took me 4 years to make up my mind to buy the first one! I will be visiting your girl's photo often until then.
Sadly the ginger girl isn't mine, even tho it is my wig! Haha we did a little swap to see how they looked. But I'll tell my friend ^^
Do these kids stand and sit well on their own? I have another tiny that can't sit unless his back is resting against something or he falls back. It's okay if they do, I am just curious. My husband is thinking about getting Yiyi for me as a birthday gift. I will just have to wait and see!
mollym They are phone onesies from Claire's accessories, they fit yosds quite well, sadly the hood doesn't fit and they do sit/stand well on their own. But it can all depend on the stringing of the doll :/ I've posed 4 different DL tinies and they were all fine
cutiepie - Awe, your little girl is so cute! I too love her spunky rainbow wig! Did you do her faceup? She looks fabulous!
Thanks, Mayte! mollym: Thank you! I made her wig, but I didn't do her faceup. Her faceup is by the ever-so-talented IzabethS! Here's a close-up! XD
Oh, wow! Her wig is incredible!!! Is there a database for all the Doll Love babies? If so, could you guys help me out with a link? I don't know when or how, but I am pretty sure I'm going to end up with a little girl sometimes soon. They are so, so cute!!! I don't know why, but these little ones really appeal to me unlike any other yosd dolls do. So, do most yosd size clothes fit okay????
Thank you, mollym! I love colorful wigs. Hehe. I'm not sure about a database... Also not sure about clothing. I make my own for the most part. XD I will say this: I bought some M-Style panda shoes from MoC and they fit perfectly! I make custom Kigurumis and a few of them belong to Littlefees, so I'm pretty sure DollLove dolls could wear basic YoSD/Littlefee clothing. The Kigurumis fit my girl just the same. Hope that helps. xD Nysa in the panda shoes. So those kinds of shoes fit nicely. I love DollLove tinies. I used to have a M K and a You You, but they moved on. Looking to get another M K, though. Mine was a girl. She's somewhere in this thread, I think. I need her to come back home. What girl would you want?
Yes, indeed! ...though it hasn't really been updated in ages. Gosh, my Sugar doesn't look a thing like that anymore. Guess I should get on taking some new pics!
Thanks for sharing the database, ImmortalDarknyss! I added my Nysa. I'd love to see updated pictures of your Sugar!
cutiepie - Yes! That does help! Those shoes are so, so cute! Thanks for the photos of your little girl. I hope to order Yiyi sometime soon. I think Yanyan is really cute too. I love your Kigurumis. ImmortalDarknyss - Thank you for the link. It's awesome to see so many owner pics together. I, too, look forward to photos of your little Sugar. I love the ones you have posted so far. Wow, you guys sure are helping me fall for tinies! I didn't think I would succumb to the cuteness so quickly. Since I have been doing dollhouses for some years, I thought I was just going to stick with the really big dolls (65cm+).
itzreeseybetch - Yay!!!!!!!! She is so, so cute! She looks good with the long hair and that outfit is perfect for such a sweet little girl! Is she pink skin? I love her!
^______^ Thanks mollym!! Yes she's pink skin and the outfit actually came with her. Along with some cute little socks and undies too. She's my first tiny and I'm pretty amazed with her so far.
I just couldn't resist anymore! I ordered Yiyi today! In the meantime, feel free to share oogles of photos of your kids!!!!! I have the Doll Love fever!
Itzreeseybetch - your girl is so cute! My YoYo just arrived from Alice's Collections the day before Valentine's! She's my first BJD and I am SO smitten Because I'm terribly creative (lol) I've named her Yoh. And it's taking all my strength not to immediately buy her a WenWen friend...
MissyMagoo - Congratulations on your first BJD!!!! You made a very fine choice. I love how you have her all dressed up, she looks so deliciously cute! What a great treat for Valentines' Day. I can understand your urge to get her a friend! You know, dolly people are great enablers!
mollym thank you very much!! I'm so delighted with her, she really is cute in her sailor-themed fullset Haha, oh, I know. I don't mind, I think a part of me WANTS to be enabled. These adorable dollies sure are addictive!
Awe, wow, that is an awesome outfit to wear while playing in the snow. Great photo!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
@MissyMagoo Congrats on your first bjd! Yoh looks so sweet in that outfit. @Isolda13 What a cutie! I love that sweater!
Rabbit-moon - Did you go with white? I know you were looking at Yoyo, so, which did you pick? Ohhh, I am excited for you too!!! If you find the time, the waiting room is here. What are you doing so far to get ready?
Hi mollym! Yes, I did finally go with the white. (I landed up asking Lyndsey at MintonCard what Doll-Love white looks like and she said it was a creamy white.) And, happy day! My girls got delivered today! Please say 'hello' to Sophie and Ivy. Sophie is a DL Grapefruit in white resin, and Ivy is DL YouYou in pink resin. Sophie's eyes look like black glass. Im really kinda liking those. And Ivy came with lavender glass eyes. They photograph sort of dull, so I'll be replacing them. But, it's nice that DL sent glass eyes instead of acrylic. Both of these girls are so adorable - I jus love them!
Rabbit-moon - Did you order from MoC? I haven't ordered any dolls from them yet, but other items. They seem very nice. I really like their outfits! I especially like Sophie's Betty Boop top, that is really cute! That's good to know the white is creamy, it looks good! They are adorable, for sure!
Thank you, mollym! Yes, I did order the girls from MoC. I've been a customer of theirs for years, and they are very nice. While I was waiting for the girls to arrive, I had plenty of time to buy them stuff. The Betty Boop top is from Denver Dolls. It's a set and came with the cutest little bloomers and socks. These little dolls are so cute! Boy! I'm hooked now! All I want to do is get another one. I think I'd love to get a boy, but Im not that fond of DL's boy sculpts. I think maybe Ke would make a nice boy. How much longer do you have to wait for your girl to arrive?
Isolda13 Ahh, I love your little cutie playing in the snow!! Ke has such a gentle-looking sculpt ^_^ plumandplume thank you very much! I have a weakness for sailor outfits, haha. Waiting for a brighter, non-rainy day to take lots more photos of her. Rabbit-moon - omg, cute overload!!! I love your girls, they look adorable together! (btw, quick question, I notice Mint on Card names her as Grapefruit, whereas Alice's Collectons names her as YoYo Style 2. Why is that? Sadly I can't read Chinese so I can't tell what the name on mine's certificate actually says, lol...) I hope everyone waiting on dollies gets theirs soon. Arrivals are SO exciting ~
I decided to buy from an eBay seller. She is my birthday gift to myself. The store is called Milky Queen Doll Castel. I know they spell Castle wrong.... the shop owner told me March 13. However, it looks like it's closer to a 2 month wait according to the waiting room. Maybe I will get lucky and have her next month! I didn't think I would want a girl at all, but her smile reminds me of my Grandma who died when I was very, very small. She would have liked my dolls. Yiyi is going to be my first girl, and only girl for a long time. I have really enjoyed finding outfits for her. I think yosd girls might be the easiest to dress! There are so many outfits I would love to have for her. It's fun to have a wardrobe for each doll. Yep, I really am enjoying the outfits for her WAY more than I thought I would! I don't have a daughter and will most likely never have any grandchildren, so she's going to be very spoiled for sure! I am going to check out DDE for other outfits! Thanks! Rabbit-moon - Your two are so, so cute. I am looking forward to seeing them from time to time now on!
MissyMagoo, thanks for your sweet comments. Your YouYou2 is gorgeous! About your question, I wish I knew why the Grapefruit doll is called different names by different sellers -it's a mystery to me. I really didn't realize it was the same sculpt until I got them side by side, which is okay because I really love the YouYou sculpt. But, I got Grapefruit from MoC and that is what they called her so that is how I'm going to identify her. mollym, thanks again for your lovely comments about my girls. Yes, it took about two months for my girls to arrive. (And that's a short wait for a BJD!). You are definitely going to have a good time dressing and playing with your girl. It's funny how your doll reminds you of your grandmother. I named Sophie after a friend's mother. Her mother was such a great person, she was just like a mom to me. (And, wicked funny, too!) I don't know if this will be your "only girl for a long time", these little dolls a very addictive. Once you get one, it's very hard to resist wanting to get another. And, besides, your girl will need a buddy! *wink-wink-nudge-nudge*
Aw, thank you Rabbit-moon! Haha, as a newbie to BJDs it just surprised me to see her being referred to as 2 different names in different places. Is that a common thing that happens to dolls? Because I'm having enough trouble trying to learn all the size names, company names, sculpt names lol! Anyway, Grapefruit is probably a better name for her sculpt. YoYo Style 2 makes her sound like a clone or something, heh. I can't wait to see photos of your twin girlies in future ~ mollym oh, YiYi is a wonderful choice, congrats! It's super fun buying yo-SD size outfits, isn't it? There are so many cute options. I haven't seen Pikachu kigurumi for any other doll size...yet, lol!
mollym I waited a year for that photo opportunity because her winter clothes arrived in the spring XD Rabbit-moon Your girls are lovely! It's nice seeing the comparison between the pink and the White. I wanted the White skin but my friend that ordered it got me pink -_- I think Ke would be good as a boy as the sculpt isn't as cutesy as some of the others. MissyMagoo thanks so much ^^ that's why I liked her, coz she looks so innocent. But if you get her at the wrong angle she does look like she'll murder you haha.
@Isolda13 - Yes, I am loving the tiny girl clothes. It is a welcome relief and joy after just trying to dress boys! Boys are so hard to dress if you don't sew! I am loving that winter set! Oh, I am curious now at the angle that makes her look like she'll murder you! Her? Such a sweet little gal? Na, can't be! @Rabbit-moon - Now that I can see the ws next to pink, I am really liking the white! Hummmm..... now you have me thinking! All - Please, feel free to spam away while I am waiting!!! I'm thinking my girl is really gonna have a thing for pandas!
mollym dressing my MSD boys isn't to hard but I think yosd is more difficult yes. I'll try take/find a picture to show you! It's the look she gives me when I tell her she won't be getting any clothes in the next order I make XD You need to try get some panda shoes! Yuki is wearing some and a panda onesie atm XD it's so cute!
I don't know about 1/4 boys. Mine are 68cm, and it's difficult to find casual wear for them. If they were ninjas, pirates, or vampire hunters it might be easier it seems. I'm determined to learn to sew, just so they can have some t shirts and lounge pants! Yes, next time I let myself shop for dolls, I will probably get her those shoes. She should have a panda beanie on the way any day now. I'm not expecting her for a few more weeks. I'm trying to keep calm and not get too wound up about her coming home! By onesie, do you mean the kirigumi/pajamas? Hummmm, might have to talk to cutiepie about that! She's working on a bunny one for my Pip.
Yeh, I'm not looking forward to when I eventually get a SD dude. Yes i mean the kirigumi's. I got it in an accessories shop, was for a phone case thing XD.
Well, I did just go and buy a new sewing machine. It's so pretty. I plugged it in and tried the peddle, it's so intimidating! It's only a beginners' model but it does so much stuff! I have a really old one from 1950's but it has always been a struggle trying to use it. I know I should just get the new one out and just try something as a first step, but I basically want my mom to come over and hold my hand! So, I am trying to build up courage after 20+ years of trying to learn to sew and failing....... if there were a god of sewing, I would ask for courage, lol! Yes! I saw those phone cases on the inter-webs but those shops, Claire's, are in the US too but didn't carry those phone cases. It's always a lot of fun finding things and re purposing them for your dollies. I am starting to keep a look out! My son and I found a few cute party favors at a party store that are doll size, so that was fun! I didn't get the panda shoes yet, but I did buy her a panda purse that should be here in a couple weeks I would guess. The estimated date for her was the 15th and I'm getting very anxious but not as much as my first doll! Keep the dolly spam coming! It really makes my day to see a new photo!!!
