Well, it looks like I'm in the Waiting Room again! I just couldn't resist the new Spring Event; 15% off and a free face-up! Wow!

I ordered cute, little Landon. I think he'll go nicely with my two YouYou(s) and my Ke boy.



Anyone else going to take advantage of the Event? It's pretty sweet.

 

Congratulations! He's so handsome! Sorry for the late respond, We went on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas, sadly though we wren't able to go to their private island as the weather was too strong. That's okay though, it was tons of fun! Right now, Alice is out for a faceup and should be home next week. I'm excited to see her put back together.

And, thanks for the congrats on my ordering Landon! It's crazy how unbelievably priced he was with all the event kudos. (I don't want to say "cheap" because I don't consider these dolls cheap. I own a wide variety of dolls, and these little guys are just as nice as their more expensive counterparts.). If I hadn't already done major damage to my credit card getting a doll body for one of my 70cm heads, I would have ordered another DL tiny; this sale is so good!

 

I was a bored at home sick today so I decided to give my girl a new faceup. She's pretty happy, she wanted to say hi!

Hey guys, might be joining here in... up to half a year. I hope it isn't that long but... gotta save xD
I have two Onlydoll Ranxue's but my mum might be buying one of them for my little sister, and if she doesn't I'll probably sell him to someone else. Either way, his character is going to be a Doll Love Ladon / Landon so I wondered if anyone had some owner pictures c:

I wish I could help you with your request for Ladon owner photos. But, I only just ordered my Ladon last month and he has not shown up yet. I still have a bit of a wait. But, Doll Love is generally pretty quick, so Im hoping he'll arrive next month.

Ladon is one of the ones I wanted when I was looking for my first bjd, along with EnEn, but I looked at the msd section, way back in 2012, and I fell in love with Arefa instead xD

 

LOL! Yeah, Calabria, that's how it works sometimes...you plan on one doll and then you get seduced by another. The allure of another beautiful face. It's happened to me, too.

I hope someone with a Ladon posts pictures for you. I would like to see them, too!

Sorry about the unfinished sweatshirts. I had to grab some more fabric to line their hoods and for trim for the neck and pockets (the fabric they are laying on ), but they looked so cute there.

Hi guys! Well, my Ladon arrived in April. Sorry, I'm so late with a picture.

He's a cute little fellow. But, I'm having a problem with him - his head is smaller than my other Doll Love 1/6 dolls. Like, noticeably smaller. His head is even smaller than my DL girl YouYou's head! I got Ladon to be best buddies with my DL boy Ke. But, the difference in head size is really bugging me!

I'm going to ask Alice's Collection, where I bought Ladon, if DL would be willing to sell me one of the older 1/6 heads? (It's a shame because he's really cute.)

BTW Calabri, here is a photo of Ladon. And, despite being too small for my Ke, he's absolutely adorable.

 

@Rabbit-moon That's a bummer, that really is quite a difference. He is such a cutie though Which head are you thinking of getting instead?

 

Thanks Aliyahbetd! Yeah, it a bummer because he is a total cutie-patootie. I really love his face, but his head size, unfortunately, doesn't match Ke's.

Alice's Collection has already contacted me and told me I can buy a replacement head! (Wow! Those guys at Alice's are really on the ball!) I've decided to get a Yichiyu head. He's one of their early sculpts, so I'm hoping his head will be the same size as Ke and YouYou.

 

I'm sorry that caused you some disappointment, but I'm glad you shared about the head being smaller. I would have never known otherwise! He's really cute but looks much younger than the others due to the teeny head.

Thank you mollym! Yes, it was disappointing. I don't understand why a doll company would do that? But it was a lesson learned. I don't think I'll be buying any more of DL's more recent sculpts, if the heads are going to be this small. I like to group my dolls by comparable size, and Landon's head just looks tiny compared to my other DL dolls.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Yichiyu's head will work for my Ke's bestie.

I'm really curious about the You You dolls... How are they at posing? I can suede and wire them, but have no experience with this size of doll. Also, she would fit in with "YOSD" dolls, yes?

Yes, she look very different and its refreshing!

Yes they are yosd size but chinese bjd i realised they are a little bigger than my aidoll so some clothes are tight.

 

She's really sturdy, I have mine and I absolutely love her. Took her to Japan and bought all Volks yosd clothes for her and she fits them perfectly.

Seconding what Ballet said, they are very sturdy. I haven't had trouble buying regular Yosd sized clothing for them from Alice Collections/Ebay/Etsy/etc... so I think they are pretty regular size wise.

Speaking of which, I've been neglecting my two girls a bit. I really have to make them something new, and take them out for a photo shoot soon

Thank you @Rabbit-moon ! Hopefully the weather here in Kentucky will soon become more dry and sunny so I can take Francie outdoors! I love to take her photo more than any of my other dolls (shhh.... don't tell them though).

I wish I could help you, but both of my YouYou(s) came with a face-up.

But, I did find this bjd site that sells blank Doll Love heads. Maybe this could help you.

Its been quite a while since I was last in the thread. Since then Mouse's twin has gone though technically 3 versions. I originally had a sleeping you you but her faceup didn't match, and I felt her face scuplt itself was a little smaller than regular you you. I was a bit sad to sell her though, she was super cute! And then I bought a half closed eyed you you, but... The mail lost her! Her package never turned up. But finally I have her, May version 3 lol. I love her so much! I really feel like they are finally "twins"

I saw that you sold your other YouYou. I knew you had not been happy with her. But, I'm so glad you finally got the YouYou you wanted. She is really darling.

I've been wanting a half-closed eyed YouYou for ages. I almost got her last year during the DollLove Summer Event. Now, seeing how cute your girl is, she really is hard to resist!

 

It feels like forever since the last time I came on here, and I have no new photos of my Alice. But I can still say with 100% sureness that Alice is my Fav (But don't tell the others lol). I just wanted to say Hi, and congrats to Aliyahbetd

I have a doll love EnEn that my friend gifted to me about a year ago and sadly I don't love him as much as I used too. His proportions don't really fit in well with the other dolls I have sadly. I am reluctant to sell him though, I've always had a hard time rehoming a gift someone got me.

Allow me to help revive the thread with my girl, Zephie My little brother saw me taking pics and generously offered his Tonka truck as a prop!
I got her in 2013 and she's been holding up remarkably, with only two noticeable scratches in the faceup thanks to my clumsy antics
