Crud! I was really trying to resist her adorable face / tan combo. I love the eye shape and just everything about her is super cute.

I've been wanting Miso for years, so I feel a little guilty pondering Somi. I just got Oscar not to long ago and I'm a total J. Baek fan.

I have to resist and just enjoy the spam for now.

 

Squee! She's so cute, @Cydril - I definitely like her sculpt better without the default faceup. Seeing your photo, I am very sorely tempted to order her. I still love Miso. Decisions, decisions...

 

What a cutie @Cydril! Congrats on getting your new girl; she really makes me want to get my own now! Can't wait to see what you do with her faceup-wise. I actually really like the company faceup, but seeing her blank she looks like a very versatile sculpt!

Im really glad I went with the full doll instead of just her head. I think she is the best at posing out of all my dolls (Except maybe the littlefee).

It is hot as hades here so it may be a while before she can get a faceup...

 

Thanks to @Cydril, I purchased Somi last night. I also ordered her blank. She was too cute to pass up. Now the search for clothing and everything begins!

 

Congrats @Eritrea ! Were you lucky enough to get her in tan skin? I just looked on the Dollits website and tan Somi is Sold Out.

@Eritrea - I have to ask you. Is that a doll in your avatar photo or a real child? She is just the most adorable little thing I've ever seen. That smile! If it's a doll, I want one.

Finally gave my Somi a faceup. I'm thinking of calling her Nami, but I'm not sure yet.

 

She looks so, so beautiful. Wonderful face-up---I love the name Nami, too.

Oh my goodness, a tan Somi will be coming to live with me very soon
I was kinda bummed I couldn't afford to order her when she was released (as I had just bought Miso and SooHee the month before). I feel so lucky! She looks seriously amazing.
Ps. I noticed that there isn't a thread for Dollits DKD mini dolls on the doll inventory, should we create one?

Hi guys, what are the resin matches like for the girls? Like if I bought the head of a Dollits DKD in NS, which body from a different company seems to match best? Or just resin colour matching in general with Dollits? Hope it makes sense what I'm asking!

Speacking of which, my Miso finally shipped this week. I hope she'll arrive soon, yet as things are, I'm pretty sure I'll have to fetch her from customs.

 

Where is everyone finding shoes?

 

I am using A-line minifee shoes by Summomo but they are a bit too long...

In the meanwhile, tan Somi arrived. She has got to be one of the sweetest, most beautiful dolls in my collection Her tan is a nice cappuccino color, her default faceup is super nice and just like my other WS DKD body she has no visible seam lines and poses great!

I'm in love with mr. J Baek's work! I can't wait for my Miso & SooHee to get faceups

 

I bought Youra from DIM sometime back and put her on a Luts Romantic KD body, but always wanted a Miso. Thanks @Musume I now know where to find one. Didn't know about this thread or Dollits before today.

I'm very excited! I bought a Dollits Somi second-hand and she should be here any day now! I'm relieved; she was sent from Russia and I've heard that sometimes their postal service runs slow. But, she's in my country now! I can't wait to share her with you!

 

@Xanadu Dolls , I love how shes styled! Is she a mermaid?

I got some shoes on etsy from myfairydoll and they fit pretty well! Her feet tend to slide out the back but the shoes are the right length for her.

 

She is lovely @Cydril ! That tan is gorgeous... I really love Somi. Those lips!

 

Thank you, no not a mermaid, my Ondine is a Guardian Water Sprite and she lives in the Elvin Forest.

Your fairy doll is very pretty and the shoes pick up the accents on her clothes beautifully.

 

Its too quiet in here! Did any other Somi's ever make it home?

 

I couldn't stop looking at DKD Somi so I finally put her on layaway. I hope she fits in with my crew!
Maybe its just me, but Somi's mature body and child like face reminded me of the Lollipop Girls by Jan McLean a bit. I was so into those as a kid.

 

So a while ago I started to miss my Miso (who was bought via DIM back then) so I got a second hand one from Dollits and yesterday the face-up artist sent me pictures and I just can't wait to photograph her!

She is something else

 

Oh wow, that is an amazing face up! I don't see many elderly dolls so this is a nice change.

 

OMG! I was not prepared for that. What an awesome transformation! Your artist did an utterly fantastic job. I can't wait to see her all put together. Do you know if the artist added any resin for the wrinkles, or is that all paint?

@Cydril Honestly, your Vorona evoked my wish to get an elderly looking doll! She was the first doll I saw that looked to beautifully like an aged woman, I fell in love.

I'm still sneaking arround Youra. And I'm still havn't spend christmas bonus and now there is a european shop having dollits. So after seeing so many signs I think it is my fate to have a Youra ^^

Since no one can spam some Youra pics has anybody some comparision of Dollits NS with other NS colors like Fairyland, Souldoll, Resinsoul, luts or so`?

She is so pretty. So the ns is. Matching luts ns? Then i know what to expect

 

Not a perfect match if you're really fussy, but I don't notice the difference.

 

Did anybody buy SooHee?
I cannot find many pictures of her apart from Dollits'.

I just broke down and finally ordered a Somi in NS. She's been on my wishlist for a while but I didn't get her because I was getting out of minis. Well, I just couldn't resist any longer!

Thanks! My order already says "Before shipment". Do they change it that fast? First time ordering from them.

 

I'm tempted to order a tan Miso, although I'm not a fan of the way she's been painted. The reddish lines between the teeth make it look like her teeth are spaced far apart. If I do order, I'll get her unpainted. Is anyone else thinking of ordering her?

@hannaliten - In some programs "Before shipment" means the doll is ready to ship. In others it just means that the company has received your money and has begun to work on the doll. I haven't ordered from Dollits yet, but it sounds like they use the second type.

 

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm used to the first type though, so it threw me off a bit.

Tan Miso is adorable! Yeah, I agree with the lines. They make her look like she has massive gaps between her teeth.

 

One of the things I learned from doing portraits is that you should only suggest the presence of teeth, not delineate each and every one of them. Now I feel even more like buying the doll--just so I can paint her myself.

 

My Somi shipped after two weeks, so maybe he just always keeps a couple ready to go?
