The fact this took me a while to find this thread means more love for DF is needed D:

And another Rose spam. Ignore the light my lil bro was insistent her eye color gets to show for once. My living room is at an angle where sun hardly gets the corner my dolls are in.

What I will say about pose-ability they can do what you want and do it for awhile. I got her to stand on one foot once and was stupid enough to not take a picture It's just a matter of fiddling around till you get what you want. My girl is also strung with SD (Luts Delf size string) string so could be why she stands in such poses for awhile but I think the default string can hold those too. Oh Also she's the yellow skin it's super yellow but I like it.

 

I had the amazing good fortune to win a DF-A JiFeng at Dollism this year....and finally had some time to hang out with him (he's on Christmas vacation with us, actually!) He's still blank--I don't like to paint until I really get to know the doll's personality. But he's super cute, hanging with his teensy friend.

His name is Ivan. His friend won't tell me her name yet. She wants to keep me guessing. Little bugger.

Hi to everybody!
Since the practice head is on sale for only 20$ on alices collection I'm going to buy it, but as always my first problem is resin match. Does anyone know which would be the best match for DF-A normal pink? I've put my eyes on the Doll Legend bodies but I don't really know if the normal pink match would be any good :/

That head is so tempting, I've been wanting a cute little girl for so long and this head is fantastic and cheap

 

so my head is from 2 years ago.
it fits to my 2010 dim body 95%
to my 2010 AOD Body 90%
it might work for dragondoll body aswell to mine it is 80% of a match

i hope that helps a little

just take care to take the normal Pink skin not yellow because that's quiet different to pink
and i hope they did not change the colors to much

 

Hello everyone! My first bjd head Its practice head 2014 and I fell in love with sculpt. Its reminds me SOOM sometimes.
Until I bought all the drawing materials I have tried to create a composition with this head^^

Mr Model here got new eyes. The lighting in my room isn't the best sorry, but they're pretty red ones I got as spares for my yosd centaur. He's a DollFamily H Star :3

 

Hello~ Lets hopefully bump this thread up a bit. Such lovely dolls you have there, would be a pitty to miss more spam

I can't get my eyes off the practice head (arggh why can't it be an sd one) and I'm considering getting it on a WS dollzone body. Do you guys have any match experience? Would it need lots of bushing to match? (ws to ws of course xD)

 

my whiteskin DF was very white when i got him. the white skin doll i have from DZ is very rosy...so the would not fit at all together... >.<
other thing is dz has a super long waiting time at the moment so skintones can change massively when you order now to what you will get then.



he darkened a bit so he's more cream white now

i dunno how the white skin of dz is at the moment or will be in near future.

but dz got one of my fav brands
DF is just wind who is a doll I really adored...that's why i bought him and he perfectly matches to his chara

my boy has long sleeves normally on the side the joint is missing

He's super cute letalan! How good is the resin match with Doll Legend 'cause I still have a couple floating DF heads lol

Hello! I've just ordered the Doll Family-A practice head from Alice's Collection. It's my first ever BJD anything, and I have a of couple pre-arrival questions about it, if anyone would be willing to help me!:


-I think I read somewhere that the current 1/4 scale practice head is a rejected modification of DF-A's "Bach" head, is that true?
-What size eyes might this head use? I think I saw 14-16mm for a similar head earlier in the thread...?
-Without any prior knowledge, I purchased the head in Normal Pink resin. Is it still really, really pink, as was mentioned earlier in the thread? Does it look unnatural?
-Is there any chance this head would look okay on a Resinsoul 1/4 body? I really like the shape (and price, given my lacking experience) of their dolls. If not, does anyone have recommendations for a mature-looking MSD body that might be a better match? Male or female.


I apologize for the long post & hope these questions are not out of bounds for this thread. If so, please direct me to a more proper place for my inquiries, I will be very grateful. Thank you for your time regardless!

 

- 14mm for DF MSD is totally fine.
you can use them without doubt

- I have a normal pink skin head too and i don't think it looks not too pink to me >D

-mature looking...what pops in my mind is the muscular Fairyland body...but i think bobobies body of sui is mature too.

 

Okay great! I'm glad to hear 14mm will work & that the particular resin color isn't weird-pink.
As for the bodies I hadn't even thought to check the Fairyland bodies because their MSD heads look so cutesy to me that I figured the bodies would be too. Many thanks!!!! I'll do some snooping around Fairyland stuff then, and take another check at Resinsoul & Bobobie too.

And---drum roll, please--I FINALLY painted my Ji-Feng! I've had him since September and finally finally did it. Not sure if he'll keep this one, but I think this will probably be the general idea for him.

My practice head just came today and I'm actually a little smitten. Even though he's blank and his eyes are some funky beads I found that happened to fit, I think he's just swell. I'm hence extra eager to find him a body! Though I'm a bit confused about resin matching...eeeehh @_@

Thank you She's actually grey skin and it's a bit dark grey, but the lighting was terrible in that photo and somehow makes it look almost normal o.o

as eru looks great, I love the eyepatch! (At least I think it's an eyepatch, I don't see it clear enough)

I figure I shall stop lurking and actually post something in here. I am sadly still waiting to order my 1/4 Linfeng as other sales in the marketplace have foiled my time table. He will hopefully be coming home this summer but till then I can live vicariously through all of your dollies. I don't have any of the 1/4 dolls at home but I have a lot of the 1/3 sculpts. It seems the bodies pose just as well as the bigger guys and gals! Also bummed I never got a chance to get a Wind.

 

[MENTION=59813]Dove_Heart[/MENTION]: when I went to Japan in 2009 I was invited to a concert of indiebands (in Japan there are always about 5-7 Bands playing on an Indie Band's concert) of Maya, the Vocalist of Lilical. He was super nice to me, and there I met Eru with his former band Amber Bullet. So I started supporting him and because I kinda fell hin love with his style, I really wanted him as Doll *lol*
yeah so I ordered DF Wind, since I wanted that doll before and turned him into my little Eru. Eru's band disbanded in 2010 after I got him as doll, and he came back in 2011 with his new Band "the 3rd Birthday". I mailed him with telling him who I was - of course- that we already mailed a lot before and that i need his tatts for my doll. He gave me piccs so i painted them on and gave him a pic of his doll. That was the day he started asking me for his little one everytime I mail him (which does not happen too often) and also I always shall bring him with me, when I am going to Japan to see him. Last year he picked him up and styled him, while I was playing the shooting game on the concert event >D
