    1. Oh Thanks for doing that! :) Iplehouse let me know, after I sent them a report about Dollectable, that one of the winners had emailled them already but didnt let me know which one had contacted them. I have a pic of you too with your winning doll - can I post this here?
      Alex

    2. Oh, and I sent off an email to Doll in Mind to thank them for the Flora head they donated that I won. :)

    3. You won a prize? I know you DONATED a nice gift for our door prize giveaway too! :fangirl:
      Thanks for contacting DIM!
      Alex

    4. Yes, I was "sqiggle" or Entry #2 in the costume contest. ;)

    5. I won the door prize from Brennil. The outfits are awesome and very much appreciated :) I did swing by her booth to say thank you.

    6. I won one of the Orangebabydoll gift certificates. I think I said thank you about 3 times when I redeemed it.

    7. Oh, I'm so glad to know they've gotten it. And definitely, feel free to post away! :)

    8. Thanks for the nudge to thank Dolls and Friends for donating the Souldoll Griffi boy. I just sent them a thank you email for providing the chubby-cheeked cutie.

      It seems he's a retired sculpt, too.

      I have to wait for him to get home (he's in the snail mail: 6-10 days) before I can thank the person who donated the msd boy clothing and toys I won shortly after getting the Griffii. We packed most of the doll stuff into his shipping box.

    9. julia and rosaleendhu - a big thanks for taking the initiative and talking to our generous donators!

      And heres the very lucky JadyLady with her new Iplehouse Tania!

    10. So lucky! I was really hoping for one of those girls - guess I'll have to add em to the wish list. ;)

    11. My plan all weekend was to win one ;)

      *sigh* I was so very jealous of everyone who one anything (especially a doll :) ) but so excited for them too :) what an amazing way to end a wonderful weekend :)

    12. You know, you won the ONLY MSD boy sized goodie bag (out of over a dozen different) to go with the MSD sized Griffi you also won - IT WAS MEANT TO BE!!!! :lol:

      Alex

    13. The Onna, she has POWERS.

    14. Oh, one more thing for the attendees at this convention - if you haven't already noticed, one of the flyers that came with the program books, from Dolls and Friends, actually has a '$5.00 off the next order' code feature listed on the post card! Use it when ordering from their website!

      Alex

    15. calalillith: ah, you're not alone--I was so hoping that I'd win a doll too ...it seems that the evil jealousy demon was bouncing all over the place!

    16. I didn't realize that! Wow! I suppose Drew (the Griffi's new name) WAS supposed to come home with us after all!

      Nah, I only have beginner's luck. Any future doll cons will have a dearth of winnings. It will be others' turns to win goodies, which is only fair. My presence will only up their chances, since I won't be in the loop anymore.

      Well, as we went with the hope to win a girl doll, I can relate, even though I got the boy doll. So he's going to be our resident cross-dresser. *laughs* The girls were definitely beautiful and Iplehouse is my fave company so I was a bit disappointed we weren't able to bring a girl home. The boy was a bit of a shock! *laughs*

      You WILL win something soon! The odds will favor you even more now. I won't win anything at a SF doll con ever again (that's how my luck/kharma works) so you will have a great chance next year.

      ~~~~~
      Drew is home now and my mother is all over him - all grabby hands. I had to wrestle him out of her arms so I could take him home to meet the Crew.
      FYI: Dolls and Friends want to use my thank you note in their next newsletter. To those of you who have contacted the generous companies and people who donated, don't be surprised if you are contacted about something similar as well.
    17. RE: *just remembered* You're right, you're right. I forgot about about that. I should take advantage of that offer. Thank you so much for reminding us, Alex. :)
    18. Well I'm glad you and your husband got a chuckle from my husband's comic. Greg was our OPS Director, so you probably saw him wandering around at some point. :)
    19. Has anyone one seen the interview for NPR ? There was a woman interviewing
      people about their BJD's and I just wondered if it's been aired ?
    20. Actually I was wondering whether or not it had been aired? especially since my family and I were interviewed by the woman, whose name was Nancy Mullane, if i remember correctly.
      Jinjur- My mum meant to tell you but forgot to mention it before. She and I both absolutely adore the knitted jacket that your beautiful girl was wearing at Dollectable. We couldn't stop talking about the jacket because we hadn't seen something so beautifully made and in scale like that before so we were in awe especially since it's hard to find in scale clothing like that. I thought you may have made the jacket but wasn't sure, but we were both curious to know if you had made the jacket or if you bought the jacket and just out of curiosity where did you buy it?
    21. Ms. Mullane and I spoke at length and exchanged business cards. She's actually a free lancer who does pieces on spec - she records, edits, and mixes the piece and then offers it to NPR, she's not an employee. Something like this, that isn't time sensitive, might be in the works for months before it sees air, if it ever sees it at all.
      She said she'd drop me an email if the piece gets picked up, and I'd be sure to let everyone here know with a post in the News. ;)
    22. That's right, i do now remember her mentioning that as she gave me her business card. I thought there was a possibility the story had yet to air, if at all. Please do let us know when she emails you back, if the story does go to air.
    23. Yes, thanks, Brennil-- let us know if you hear anything from her! She talked to me & Strangeangels at the staff-tables, and she does have my email address, but she didn't give us a business card. (I was flaky-busy, & didn't think to ask for one. :sweat)
      She seemed to be genuinely interested, anyway. Whatever the story turns out to be, I hope it's a good one...
    24. I'm interested about the interview, too. She talked to me at-length about yaoi, then lots of us got pulled in when she realized that many of the people waiting for the yaoi panel were not locals. Her eyes got large when I said I was from Texas and got wider when the Canada group spoke up.
    25. I talked to Nancy a few days ago and she said her editor was making the story into a bigger piece and she hoped it would air this week or the next.
    26. Interesting, Onna! Wonder if we'll see Nancy mysteriously show up at Y-Con next month... ^^
    27. Please keep us in the loop - I'd be interested in listening in.
      Cool they decided to make it a bigger piece, too! Resin World Domination!
      I hope she does. I didn't get a chance to get into the cultural aspects of it (written by women for women, equality fantasies, etc.) before the subject changed to where everyone was from.
      I guess Nancy is not familiar with the gay fiction here in the USA, which could easily be turned into yaoi manga - and I was reading it LONG before yaoi manga hit the US.
