Hi, sorry if this question has already been asked before, but does anyone know the next time DollClans will be making dolls available? I want Phython so bad but have no idea if he will be available anytime soon. Does anyone know?? Thanks~!

 

@HiroKenzan They announced a new preorder period that'll start on December 12 on their facebook page but didn't say yet which sculpts would be available.

Hey people, I thought I'd just let you know that Dollclans have an 15% off event right now and all their dolls (except Benkel) are open for pre-order until December 31st. They also have pre-orders for certain outfits and accessories.

 

Would anyone here know Wyper's exact head circumference? I was wondering if that particular head would work with a Mirodoll 60 cm body since that seems to be the only shorter guy body that has a wider build.

 

Sorry Nighton_woN I'm no help here and this thread is very dead lol. Just wanted to repost in case anyone was thinking of hybriding with a dollshe body. Skin color is pretty darn close but neck is too big.

 

I have plans to wipe my first faceup off of Kyo (dc kien) but I’m waiting for spring. Winter weather is just so hard

 

I saw Dollclans announced on their twitter that they plan to change some of the default face ups and they won’t use Estebebe anymore.

 

Today they post a pic of Rynx in cinnamon brow skin in FB; my dream doll is Vezeto in tan skin, I hope they release this color skin in all their molds!!

 

Hello everyone, I do hope this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know how often the Ordering Period for Jacuer is opened up? The period is opened up right now, but it is NOT a good time for me. I need to know how worried I need to be and if I need to make it a good time. Thank you for any information!

Also do they ever do tan skin? I really would rather have him a nice tan.

 

@lividdarkangel I have no idea about preorder terms but founf the info about some very-limited tan event by Dollclans... May be they will answe on the board?

I'm curious if anyone has feedback or photos of how a Vezeto head might fit the Dollzone B70-004 body?? Alternatively the Doll Chateau A-Body-08 (a bit of a stretch I know, but I adore this body!) or barring that, if anyone has suggestions for a nice hybrid in the 70-72cm range.

 

my Vezeto lives on an Akagi 66 body. looks good. he's loaning his bod out at the moment. will try to post a photo after the hurricane passes.

 

I recently got myself a Vezeto head and would like ask fellow owners of this gorgeous mold what sort of eyes are you guys using for him?

I find that his eyes are a little too wide that most 16mm eyes that I own do not fill in nicely. And tbh, I also think that 16mm irises are already too wide for my liking and that I probably prefer him with 14mm irises better.

This problem is made worse by his somewhat shallow eye well that even my low dome eyes can't seem to fit in properly too ??? Not sure if beveling the eye wells would work because his eyelid seems to be pretty thin D:

 

Have you tried small iris eyes? I have a Jaquer and while he looks ok with standard 14mm, he definitely looks more awake with smaller irises.

Also bevelling, if I understand you correctly, will not make the hole a better fit, ultimately, because yes the resin is very thin there. Is it a matter of the 16s not fitting in the bevel or would 18s fit better?

 

@whippy congrats! Vezeto is awesome!
My Vezeto wearimg handmade eyes since I gave up to find something. Eyeco eyes with small iris are so-so, cause brown iris is still too big for his half-closed eyes. But at least no holes in eye corners! Maybe light colors would look better.

 

@ZennoSaji It's mostly the wide eye well that makes even 16mm unable to cover the eye entirely so there'll be holes at the corner of the eyes. I suppose 18mm has the best width to address this issue but then the irises would be ridiculously big unless it's possible to get a 18mm with 14mm irises?


@Rook_Sever thank you!! It's such a handsome mold and I'm so happy to be able to own one finally AND you're right!! It's the gaping holes at the corner of the eyes that bug me the most. I bought him an oval shaped 16mm hoping that it'll cover the eye nicely but even 16mm wasn't big enough apparently. I'll see if I can dabble in DIY eyes D:

@Rook_Sever thank you for sharing your experience! I was looking at some tutorials and definitely doable XD but in the meantime I think I will commission from other people because I hate to see him having no eyes

 

I follow Lemon.jelly.shoppe and talesfromtheshrike on IG. They both do beautiful work.
Sprouty Doll also does "small" irises but it's only a step down from standard.

@Ladicius - He looks so good! lots of attitude. I love my Kien who shares an SD17 body now that I found a Volks Kiriko head. He had it to himself for years since he was in the first Kien batch. That nose and the little smirk give him character. time to repaint my man's eyebrows and freshen up his face, but not sure how long the new boy will want to stay on the body. Kien is going to want his own!

Have any of you guys tried to contact DollClans for any reason in the last month or two? I've e-mailed them in regards to the legs I ordered and they haven't said anything since receiving my payment, and there has been no update on their page since October...

 

No I haven’t contacted them. Did you post on their site or send an email? Maybe try a different way of contacting them?

 

They haven't replied to posts on their board since mid January and I emailed them because that was how we corresponded about payment and resin matching. :/

 

@ZennoSaji I'm late to the party for DollClans. And when i tried to check their site, it said their hosting service had expired...

 

....... Now I'm going to have to file a dispute with PayPal...

 

I get the same message when I go to thier website. They have a Twitter and Facebook too. Those appear to have last been update December 2018 with a notice about thier holiday schedule. Definitely very odd for them to suddenly disappear. I will ask on Facebook about thier website being down.

 

Oh no...I certainly hope this doesn't mean they're gone for real. Dollclans is one of the first companies I ever fell in love with and I've always wanted to own a Phython. I mean, he's fairly popular so I'll probably be able to find him on the secondhand market, but I was hoping to get him when they opened up their next preorder....

I have noticed that Dollclans have been releasing new dolls and opening up preorders a lot less often lately...now I'm kind of worried for them.

 

I got a response from dollclans through Facebook already. I’m impressed with the speedy reply:

Troublesome that they wouldn’t announce that the website was going to be down but if you’d like to reach them it seems social media is a good option

 

They didn't reply to my most recent email or anything after taking my money back in September, so I reached out through PayPal. I'll let you guys know what they say! I hope it's as you say, @skyealloway. I really want my boy to stand normally again XD

Edit: PayPal said it's been too long since the transaction began. I reached out to them on FB but it's the weekend now. @___________________________________@

Yes the Gmail address was the one I had been using this whole time. They haven't replied to me with that address in months. That's why, when it was seen the website was gone, I went through PayPal.

 

Hello everyone! I have a Jaquer head i am searching for a body for. I found a good one, but its 72 cm. On his info page it says he should be on a 60cm to 70 cm body. Do you guys think he would look ok on that or would the proportions be off?

 

Depends on the exact body, which one are you thinking about? Things to look out for are neck circumference and length, as well as shoulder width.

The neck circumference is exact, but what do you mean about the shoulders?

 

The shoulders will determine if the head is the right size for the body. Unfortunately, I think doll clans lists their shoulder width by the width of the chest piece and don't take the arms into consideration. Anybody got the actual width handy?

Well that's good! New legs....for what body? My Uline have a chipped knee and he could certainly use an upgrade

For the u line because I had the same problem but had tried to fix it to no avail. I'd asked them about the breaking problem, and they spent some time redeveloping the knee joint. Came to $85 and shipping, so if you're concerned, I'd email them and ask about the new legs.

I've recently purchased a Dollclans Phython head, but as far as DoA references go, it's oddly difficult to gauge eye size. Officially, 14mm eyes and 16mm eyes are both noted to fit. I'm also not sure if I should go for regular iris, or small iris eyes.

Alas, I don't have anything in the range to try ahead of time.

I'm hoping to purchase from Soul in a Box on Etsy, but I think any solid round eyes if they're precisely 14mm or 16mm should work for checking this out.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

I've had my Kyo for so long I honestly can't remember his eye size. I'd maybe find some cheap acrylic eyes in 14mm and see how they fit, then spring for a fancier eye in 14 or 16.

 

I personally use 14mm small iris in my Jaquer head and I love it. The regular Iris size just fills too much and looks too Moe moe Kyun for my taste. It's not bad, don't get me wrong. I just don't prefer it. 16mm would be too large IMO.
