I finally realized what he reminds me of: a cross between Souldoll Onulharu and Dollclans Benkel!

 

I know Souldoll Onulharu I've drooled over him but I had to look up Dollclans Benkel. I have drooled over him too but I didn't know him by sculpt/company name.
I have to agree with you, he has Benkel's nose with more open eyes and Onulharu's mouth. I really like both those sculpts.
I'm glad to have him.

You've definitely made him into a distinct character and entity beyond his sculpt--the glasses really give him a personality.

And I don't really think he's the same as either of them, but I looked at him and thought, "I've seen that sculpt before," but I'd never actually seen that Beliel.

Both Souldoll and Dollclans are drool-worthy, so I'll definitely file this doll away for suggestions for those who like their sculpts, but it's nice to see that Doll Legend has some fantastic dolls on its own! (I think I like Beliel's eyes better than DollClans and even Souldoll's styles--they are more detailed.)

I should have paid more attention to Doll Legend when I was stalking their 70cm body for so long--I love it and it is so poseable and detailed, but I didn't pay any attention to their heads! (Although I do have an order of a couple of their hands--I love the extra thumb joint--on the way.)

 

I know about those jointed hands. I fell in love too, I have four pairs of them for other dolls.
His character definitely blossomed when he arrived. I need to start writing about him and the others, their story is crowding my head and needs to come out.

Is the overly ridged left foot from current model for a different doll, or is it an older version of the foot?

 

I have no idea what doll goes with that foot. They didn't say either.

Does anyone know if there is any way to order a custom or edited faceup from them? I'm looking into Stan, but I don't really like the scars on his faceup...

 

Still haven't received a new foot. AC says they hope it will come in with their next order. Fortunately Dakota is wearing shoes.

Does anyone know if the Resinsoul NS would match any of the NP or NY? I'm having a helluva time finding a body for a head of mine and it matches the Resinsoul NS nearly perfectly. I really like the DL bodies and the neck is close enough that I should be able to make it work.

Just a follow up on my last comment... I was contacted by natrume on Etsy and she said that the color problem was likely due to being made at a different time but even then it shouldn't have been so drastically different. They're going to ship me a new head in the right color!

I believe I am going to be allowed to keep the head I have currently so I would still like to know about the resin matches please.

 

I really like their new Abel head, at least from the front.

But that brow ridge. I wish they had worked harder on the 3/4 view, because the front and profile are lovely.

 

Woohoo! Beliel's new foot has been shipped some how I missed the first email with the tracking number. Yes he is arriving on the slow boat but at least the foot is on its way!! He is wearing shoes but still this foot is just too strange.

I can't believe who ever put him together thought that foot was right and where did it come from anyway? They don't have dolls with strange feet like that. Maybe they are cast by a different company and the foot got dropped into the wrong box? Anyway the afore mentioned foot has been preparing to ship since April 12th and still no movement. AC said if it doesn't show up in 3 months they will try to get me another one or give me a refund. That part I didn't understand, a refund for what?
He has a foot it just looks weird. He can't go barefooted without being self-conscious lol.
So that's my update.
I agree Vampire Hunter D does need a closer resin match.

Whoops, I feel bad because I've had my Chimera hybrid home for months and only recently got some proper pictures of him. ^^; He's kind of in the bobble-head brigade, but I didn't really want him on a 70cm body either. (I also want to get him some different eyes, but small-iris glass eyes are a bit hard to find.)

I would love to see pictures of your Beliel! I think he is absolutely stunning and he is my favourite boy sculpt from Doll Legend. Potentially looking to getting a Beliel sometime in the future....

would anyone be so kind to help me see a resin match between Doll Legend Resin and LUTS NS please?
i'm planning to get the Doll legend jointed hands and i have a LUTS SSDF NS (2016 with no yellowing as of the moment) so i was wondering what specific Doll legend resin color would match LUTS NS resin.

I don't have normal pink to compare with, but normal yellow is going to be too yellow for Luts NS. ^^;

 

@Osaka oh thanks for the reply dear. i saw one comparison of doll legend and luts. but the lighting was not that well. So i can't distinguish the difference that much. but thank you so much for letting me know. maybe i can go for the pinkish tone? it might be closer to luts.. i also have another one in mind which is the Dika doll. the pink tone is closest to luts NS.. by chance do you have a resin match of those two? thank you dear

I have noticed that you are talking about Islandoll skintone comparison which I do need advices from you.

Recently, I bought Kana Eden head (hooray!)
And I thought of making my ver own hybrid doll whereby I will match the head with either Island Doll's body and jointed hands OR Ringdoll's body and jointed hands. Unfortunately, Ringdoll hasn't reply my enquiry on when will they be bringing back their jointed hands.

So, my question to you guys is that could Ringdoll skintone matched with Island Doll hands?

I bought the MSD size head named Nuoyi and it is the spitting image of Rog (Weixi) so I'm either making him a younger brother or his son, sans wife.
Either way he will get a similar freckled ginger faceup.

Has anyone a Rong Che beside me then? I would love to see pictures of him. He looks so soft and gently :-)

 

Just got the email that my Chimera head and jointed hands were shipped today! So exicted and I was starting to get a little concerned over how long it had been. No joke I logged into Alice's collections last night to check and woke up to the email this morning.

 

Any comparisons of Doll Legend WS and SOOM CW (2011)? Alice's Collections told me that DL has a creamy white resin and it seems that way looking at the pics you've posted. But I'll feel better if I see then together I'm willing to get new DF-H girl body which has same resin color as DL (and their body are quite similar now too).

Hope someone can help me!

 

Hello! I don't suppose anyone in this thread could tell me which Doll Legend resin they think would match RSDoll normal skin?

i want to get some of the jointed hands for my new boy. qq

 

I have all the DL resin colors unfortuantely I have no RSDolls. If you know other resins that match RSDoll that I may have maybe I can make a recommendation that way.

Took this as a resin comparison if anyone's interested. Doll Legend jointed hand is in normal yellow resin and Spirit Doll beneath it is in normal yellow as well. The Doll Legend is slightly, ever so slightly pinker but they mesh very well I think.

They are a pretty close match. My chimera head is in Doll Legend normal yellow. Here it is next to the head cap of my Granado.

Hey guys! I'm considering ordering a DL 61cm boy body for a hybrid but I'm a bit on the fence about. The photos make the hands look really small and I don't want my boy looking disproportioned.

Could anyone take a few photos of them, preferably either next to the dolls head or a general full body shot? I'd really appreciate it

 

My DL Weixi has a secondhand Doll Leaves body now, the color match is pretty good. Here he is with his little brother Doll Legend Nuoyi, who is on a Mystic Kids NSbody, resin match real good too.

Dakota has a boyfriend, Robin. They are both shifters, Robin is a young fox (but his ears and tail pop out when he gets excited) and Dakota (the elder) shifts into a anthro-hart or stag and sometimes into a very mean rabbit.

I was surprised how well the heads looked together considering DL Beliel is on a 60cm body and DS Arsene comes on a 70ish, though he is on a 60cm in the photo.

Hey, still have yet to receive my DL Moci, as Alice's collections is running two months behind on orders. But I was wondering where might be good places to find him clothing... I want both regular and punk/visual kei clothing for him. I'm just unsure what size to look for with him as he seems to be slightly larger than some sizes in the shoulders and chest and then have an extremely skinny waist, but then have huge hips and legs. So, any suggestions with where to look/what size of other dolls might be a good fit for him clothing wise?
