Doll Legend

I just ordered a pair of jointed hands in white skin for SD13. I hope the wrists will fit in my SD SWS Islanddoll, but I have been known to mod to get what I want.
I am debating on getting a DL 70cm body since they are on sale but I really love the weight and feel of Ringdoll but they are definitely more expensive. Dilemma time.

 

I like the tall guys but my favorites seem to fall in the 65cm range. I have one that is 62 and another that is just shy of 70 different companies but those two are my favorites to play with. It would be cool to have another 65cm choice out there.

 

I got my jointed hands from Doll Legend, they are white skin. I put them on my Island Dolls body, which has a Dollshe Saint Pale head. The colors match extremely well. The fingers are wonderful a bit tight but they bend into position and stay pretty well. I had to play with them a bit to get use them but I've got the hang of it now.
They didn't come with s-hooks and the Island Doll hand s-hooks are difficult to remove so I tied them to the elastic. (old school) but it works and you don't see metal flashing at the wrist.

Kilian is very happy with his new hands, I think he was contemplating sucking his thumb.

 

Here is another resin match. My Doll Family-H Zhuangyan vampire elf head WS on the same Island Doll SD SWS body with the Doll Legend 60cm jointed hands WS. Match is wonderful here too. Natural indirect light.

 

These bodies look interesting!

What would you say the match with IoS normal is like in person? (Is that the new Normal?) It doesn't really look too good in the photo.

On this monitor there doesn't look like very much difference in the colours between the three. Is there much difference in person between Doll Legend's pink and yellow? (Are these their own resin or imported?)
My IoS is from the restock batch last October so he's quite new and not yellowed. I'm not sure what would be the best match, hmmm... possibly the yellow? I do like the 70cm Doll Legend body, even though it's a little bit shorter than I was planning to get.

 

Elysion gear - thanks again! So it looks like yellow would be the one to go for. I'm just slightly nervous about anything that's already called yellow if it's going to yellow some more anyway.
Did you decide to order the Doll Legend body? The reviews for the smaller ones seem good. I can't find any reviews about the 70cm, but I guess it would be similar.

 

I got the 1/3 bioy jointed hand for my Soom Mega Gem Monzo in NS and the match is near perfect( sorry I don't have photos atm because my boy ,Kell ,is getting a haircut). The resin feels nice too. The hands are a little loose in posing so I may wire them/

 

Interesting because the jointed hands I got were really tight. So it depends on who strings the hands as to how tight or loose they are. I love them they are nice slim fingers but still masculine.

I've almost convinced myself to order the 70cm body. Almost.... and still trying to decide on the right colour! Need to decide fast because the spring event finishes soon!

 

Does anyone know if the NS-P matches like Dollzone NS-P or similar coloured resin (Mystic Kids, Resinsoul DIM, etc.)? I'm interested in the hands mostly. But I'm probably gonna get one of the 1/4 bodies in NS-Y for my Volks Schulze head.

Hmmm.... the NY looks very pale. I hope this match is going to work! Oh well.... I guess I will find out soon.

Lol, I had already made the comparison photos when I got them just hadn't posted them.
I think I scrambled them up in my head also.
I got two DL and one AS hands so I'm having senior moments.

Just found their 70cm body, I hope their non-environmental WS fits my SOOM heads.
Also great to hear that their jointed hands are good too, had thought about purchasing these with the bodies in future.

How long are their wait times usually?

 

Mine has been slightly under two months from Alice's Collections, despatched today - yay!

Absolutely love the hands! They pose wonderfully and I'm having way too much fun taking silly photos of them to actually attach them to the doll.... hehe!
The body..... is Ok. It's not as good quality or as well finished as the Doll Leaves 70cm body I have which surprises me a bit. I was also expecting a bit more in the standing and holding poses department from the reviews I'd seen. But really I think I'm going to reserve judgement on the body until I attach his head and get to try him out properly.

Meanwhile... something seems to be escaping from the box.....!

He's not bad!
He's not so good for posing as I would like, but it's a nice body for the price. The hip and shoulder joints don't hold very well, but maybe I can figure out how to get him to pose a bit better with some practice?
Were you able to get the full set that you ordered?

What do you think of the body?

 

I like the body, he's posable and a tad heavy but I can live with that. I do wonder if he's got one tight bigger than the other or if his pants are defective because they fit odly on him. I'll probably have to pose him with a a saddle stand because his costume makes him a bit unstable. He's a good range of movement, he's got a mobility joint on the thighs but I rarely use these because clothes just get stucked into them. His hands are very expressive and he's got veins sculpted on his body I really wasn't expecting that.

 

Yeah, it's a really nice looking body. It's a bit annoying for me because the resin match is not even close unfortunately to my IoS head, so I guess either the IoS or Doll Legend resin was a totally different batch from the other photos. Luckily his suit will cover up most of it, it's a shame because it's too nice a body to hide and actually the neck fit and proportions are perfect.
I'm not too impressed with his posing, I'll definitely have to suede his shoulder and hip joints to get him to pose properly. He will stand, but he's not as stable as my other guys and I'm nervous to leave him standing unless I'm close enough to catch him. Also with a coat on his arms won't stay raised from his sides at all. Hopefully with a bit of work I can improve this!

 

I'm SO excited. I just ordered Chimera head from Doll Legend (Dollmix.com) and I can't wait to get him. He's PERFECT for my character Cid. I feel like he's not that popular of a sculpt, but his nose I love his nose!

Edit: so i've been investigating getting a 65cm body for my Doll Legend head, and according to the resin matches, it seems like Island Doll has a resin match with (WS) no?

Well, After more research, Doll Family-H (Alices Collections) has a WS resin match with Island Doll as well, so its reasonable to believe that Doll Legend/Family H have a resin match. So, if you wanted a 65cm body WS resin match, that's your ticket.

They also have comparable head/body sizes, 22.5cm - the 70cm Doll legend head has an 11 cm neck, and Family H has a 10.5 - NOT BAD!

price is $340.

 

Ohhh i've just discovered Doll Legend products looking for 1/6 scale jointed hands. I'm so obsessed with jointed hands, I love them, and I'd love to have them for all of my dolls, so it's really nice to see a company that does them in all sizes and multiple skin tones.

This is a far future project for me, but I have one 1/6 scale doll planned, and I'd like to know, has anyone bought their 1/6 jointed hands? Are they the right scale for Iplehouse BID or KID, and do their resin colours match?

Hey everyone!! I was looking at the Doll-Legend 62 cm body, and would love to know if anyone can do a resin comparison for me with a La Legende de Temps 2014 WS head? I have a floating head here that would be a good fit for the body, but as to what color would work is the bigger question right now!

 

Does anyone know if the legend joint hands fit a grown ringdolls wrist and normal color? The doll is 68cm if that helps but they have really tiny wrists Im waiting on my doll in the mail but I want to buy joint hands so theyll be here on arrival

 

I've ordered tan jointed hands for my grown Ringdolls. I have read and seen that they fit quite well and that the tan resin is a pretty good match. I am hoping to get them by the end of the month.

 

Oh! Did you order the french resin or regular? I have a boyce doll on the way and if their tan fits I may want to jump at the chance to get them.

 

The tan is the only tan they offer and is the 'new style' which I guess is the french resin, I had to pay extra for the tan. If I may be so bold as to suggest you wait until I get mine and confirm the match before purchasing them. I'd hate for them not to meet your expectations if they don't.

The white resin SD you speak of what kind of doll is it? =D

 

It's an Island doll body in Snow white but it has mellowed a bit still the match is spot on. Right now it has a newer Doll Family H WS head on it. The photo makes it look yellow but they all about the same color IRL.

I will share the photos. I have the white, yellow, pink and now tan.

 

The hands are here and they are beautifully made and pose really nicely too. I'll get photos up soon. They are translucent and a bit more reddish than the RD hands but I don't see a problem blushing them to match. We will see.
