Doll Leaves Waiting Room v3

That's what I meant when I said "I've been chasing it up for six months".
I've been asking Carol, she's been asking Doll Leaves. DL have refused to give any answer on it.
Eventually Carol simply placed a new order, because after ten/eleven months with requests for the previous order ignored, it was clear I'd never otherwise get it.

It's been a terrible wait, it's hard for me to be at all excited about the head anymore, after how much hassling it's taken. Plus, they haven't given Carol any real acknowledgement of the second order afaik, so I wouldn't really be surprised if the head continued to be missing. It's very frustrating!

 

I' m sorry. It sounds quite bad. But there is still hope you got this head. Have you any problems with other companies or only with DS?

 

Only Doll Leaves. I'm not the only one either, judging from Carol's facebook, and this thread. I don't know what the problem is, but it seems like a lot of Doll Leaves things aren't showing up/are going missing/etc. The only other companies I order through Angelesque from are DollZone and Doll Chateau, and they've been a glowing experience.

I wanted to throw my oar into this thread though to let others who are having problems know they're not alone. With luck, everything will be sorted out, but admittedly I personally am put off DL. I'm really glad all I ordered is a head, it's worse for people who bought entire dolls and are facing similar situations.

 

The package of my Doll Leaves Kira and Hedy has been confiscated at the customs for lacking information. Now they want me to send a lot of documentation and I'll have to pay extra taxes (like 25% of the total value). This will take several weeks.

 

On the plus side, this has finally been sorted out! The head I ordered is now in the UK and will be with me tomorrow. I hope it's all worth the wait. XD

I hope everyone else who has had issues gets what they ordered very soon! @Babadook I'm sorry to hear that, that really sucks big time. I hope it goes the least painfully something like that can go.

 

I've waited for almost 8 months for my Jeremy now. I will never order anything from doll leaves again, this process has made me think that i'll never order any Dolls again.

 

I can totally relate. I won't be ordering again from Doll Leaves either. I hope it won't put you off dolls forever though! I've had good experiences with every other company I've ordered from. Plus at least some dealers keep dolls in stock too, so you don't have to wait for those. I really really hope your Jeremy gets to you soon!

 

It´s good you wrote it here. I´m quite new in BJD world and when I saw Nina, I wanted her so much. So I ordered her. But I didn´ t know there are such problems with DS. Delivery time is really horrible. I hope Nina will arrive in march or in april, but not later. I´ll see...

 

It is no wonder. I would be disgusted too. Eight months is such a long time.

 

And what about your head? Did you got her?

 

Yep, she arrived in the end! Thank goodness. And I love her.

From a technical standpoint, the reorder was placed by the dealer in October or November, so she took 1-2 months to arrive from that point - so as long as your order isn't hit with some kind of issue like mine was, the waiting time seems to be fine!

I´m looking forward to my Nina. She will be my first BJD after long time. So I hope for smooth transaction ;-)

 

I ordered my first BJD, a Teresa, on the 16th of this month and I'm already super antsy about getting to see her in person..! X3 Do any of you guys know if the event will delay orders too much..?

 

@AureliaSong She was released at the end of September and I've already seen people receive her! I also ordered her around that time and the dealer I ordered though, Angelesque, has already got some of them, but I also ordered form a different company at the same time so I'll have to wait for that one to come in before mine ships! But yes your wait shouldn't be too long, maybe 1-2 months?

 

@avianAnnihilator Oh wow, that's such a short wait from what I was expecting! This is so exciting! What color resin did you order your Teresa in?

 

White skin! Which I'm happy about because it means one of my floating heads can steal share the body since they'll match ^^

I have no idea! I've never actually seen it irl I just saw someone mention it was creamy and the head I have is a creamy white. At first I'd thought it'd be paper white but I never really looked it up lol

 

Just ordered me a Kira in NS through DDE. I wonder if he'll arrive before Katsucon in mid-February?

 

My Doll Leaves K-Kira (full body) and H-Hedy (head only) arrived on December 27, 2016. I had placed an order through DollMix on November 25, 2016 and I'm not happy with their customer care: they stopped replying my emails after the payment (actually I only sent them one email, I'm not the type to spam someone's inbox), they didn't inform me that the package had been sent and more importantly they didnt give me a tracking number. The package was confiscated at the customs for missing invoice and I was forced to send a copy of the receipt of my paypal payment. I was charge over 40$ of customs by the way. Luckily the package was neither opened nor damaged.

Ok, so it's confirmed that my September 29 order arrived with Angelesque at the end of December, but she just informed me that the body was the wrong gender so I'll have to wait to get that fixed. No idea how long it'll take, but a 3 month wait in case anyone was wondering how long they're taking :0

 

I've heard of this kind of mistake happening to somebody else. So sorry that happened to you, and I hope it can be resolved sooner rather than later Also hope that everyone else having issues with their orders manage to get them resolved.

I ordered a 70cm male body from DL through DDE back in October, and received it last Thursday. He's a great poser, and I really love the aesthetics.

 

@jade-eyed-cat Congrats on getting your body! ❤️ Out of curiosity (and since I ordered through DDE, too, back in the middle of December), did you get an email from DDE when they shipped him, or did you get a notification from PayPal saying they updated the order with shipping? I'm over here getting super anxious because my email hasn't been working properly recently, and even though I know it is WAY too early for my doll to be shipped, I'm flipping out about not being able to see an online status page of my order. ^^;

 

Thanks. They sent an email notification to me with the shipping info to the email account I had set up with DDE. Yikes, that's unfortunate with your email being on the fritz. Do you have another account you could ask them to notify you through? Or maybe you could ask them to send a notification via paypal as well when it is shipped? I hope you find a way to resolve it and, yeah, it is nerve-wracking not having a status section on DDE's website to check for updates on your order.

My Asa just came and after 3 months of waiting he came with 2 broken fingers and a wig that even though is a part of his full set doesn't even fit his head.

YES I've contacted DDE and they are getting me a replacement hand. I've since superglue the broken fingers back on (after I sent them pictures of the broken hand of course) until his new hand comes in

Hi!!! I'm waiting on I-Da since 31th of December! I'm so excited, I ordered throught Angelesque and they told me it would be 4-6 MONTHS of production... I don't know if I can have so much patience lol.

 

Oh, man, 4-6 months..? D: Bummer, it seems like the wait time has gotten worse, then... I ordered through DDE just about a month ago and I'm already antsy, haha!

 

I don't know if maybe is because I ordered throught a dealer (angelesque) and the whole order will take longer or what... but for sure 6 months would be the worst ever...

I'm actually a bit worried about my email working properly with emails from DDE at the moment, so I was thinking of emailing them just to check to make sure that I can get emails from them... I really don't want to bother them with the whole "When is my doll going to be ready?" thing, but I'm so nervous that I won't get the shipping notice..!

 

I ordered a 42cm doll Leaves body for my DC Matthew head to go on and I can't wait for it to arrive. I ordered it about a month ago from Alice Collections.

 

@AureliaSong I did the same thing! It's so hard to have patience when you can't check the status of an order online!

Also, if you are in the US, you can sign up for "My USPS" and USPS can send you an email anytime a package is sent to your address. UPS and FedEx have similar programs too. Helps ease my nerves about missing a package notification.

Oh that is nice..! I should definitely sign up for that, then. But, then again, I live with my parents... so.... I don't really want to know every time they get something and think it's for me. ^^;

 

Earlier in January I ordered Yoko from DDE. She's going to be my first BJD. It's gonna take a while for her to arrive. Hopefully my patience stays strong.

I just put in an order for the Doll Leaves event through DDE last night. Expecting an Ida on the new body and a Wish (whom I've wanted for a few years), both in normal. Getting them blank. I'm not sure what characters I want them to be yet though or how they will look, but I have time to figure it out. (: And if they're ready by summer (hopefully before it's too humid) I'll have the weather for doing their faceups. ^^

 

My family put in a group order on the fourth for four blank dolls direct from Doll Leaves from what I understand / am seeing, it seems as if we should receive them within a month or two. I'm thrilled to get them -- my aunt ordered two minis for herself and my mom, and (as my birthday gift this year~) an Oscar for me and a Jeremy for my fiancee. I'm very excited about them

 

I just ordered my very first doll ever from Doll Leaves! I ordered a Lili with a custom faceup. Do you guys know how long it generally takes for custom faceups from them?

 

I ordered a couple of days ago, but I see there isn't a list here? Mind if I start one? I just find it much easier to track the information that way.

 

aae3748 tbh I didn't even know they did custom faceups I'm guessing there was a extra fee? I'm already feeling impatient for this order lol, but just hoping she'll be here by Memorial Day weekend so I can take her to Doll/Anime North. :P

 

I looked at a bunch of companies and I didn't realize this myself but I discovered this in my first purchase research that most of them will do a custom faceup if you ask unless they specifically say on their website that they don't. The custom faceup from Doll Leaves was only $10 more than the default so it was totally worth it to me. So many options, I just can't even handle it! What's Doll/Anime North?

 

Ooo.. nice tip. Doll North is a doll convention located in the anime convention Anime North, in Toronto (Canada). Mind if I ask what your custom face up will be?

 

I asked for something similar to iplehouse lonnie. I love the iplehouse default faceups but they're so expensive and I wish they had double jointed bodies.

Hey, everyone! I just paid off my first BJD, a Doll Leaves Flora from the DOA Marketplace.
I discovered her sculpt a week or two ago, and decided she'd be perfect for my character, Fawn - but a little expensive as my first BJD.
Then she came on the marketplace for a great price, and now she'll be arriving sometime next week!

 

I placed an order on the 10th through Denver Doll Emporium for a blank normal skin Yoko and a blank normal skin Jeremy on the new girl body. The order was placed on layaway using the 20% down option. I was told the estimated wait time is between 12 and 16 weeks. I also ordered a normal skin Ida through Mint On Card on the same day and intend to pay off my layaway on her next Friday.

I'm still in the process of ordering Teresa and Ida from Alice Collections (due to the event discount I want I was asked to place order through e-mail and then get corrected invoice for payment), but supposedly I will pay on the nearest business day and officially join you all.
I hope that the info i stumbled upon couple of pages earlier, about 4-6 months of waiting time was either joke\mistake or exclusion due to some personal issues. Such long wait sure will kill me Although, that's not the first time, but previously I was either throughly distracted by other excitment or the wait was very quick.

 

@ellia-bronsky Wow, that's a rough waiting time. But that Ida sculpt is just SO PRETTY. Looks very Doll Chaeau-esque. Hope your wait isn't too long!

I'm still excited over the whole ordeal, although should have calmed down yesterday already. But today's events again make me bubbly with excitement: asking Alice about time and learning about 2 months and that Alice had already forwarded my order to DS. Pardon my mistakes, if any. English is not my native language, although I know it enough to be a translator :p But with all these emotions...
The worst part of it all for me is that I am at my parent's place, and can't share my worries or excitement with them, as they don't understand my "need to spent huge moneys for such un-useful things" (>.<) (T__T) I definitely need to leave for home soon as it's already been more than a month of a "short holiday visit" :-)
